Life for AnaLeigh Nattlick was rarely dull, and yet lately it had become increasingly boring. After graduating, instead of being important and successful, Ana found herself in the same dumpy place she had been working since she was fourteen. A waitress at the Leaky Cauldron. But at least she had a job and a place to call home. And truthfully, Ana never really did anything. Occasionally she smiled at customers or offered them more Vodka. She had appeal, at least thats what her boss told her. When she first started working there, she was strictly a waitress, not allowed near the bar, but as the years went by, that rule became less and less enforced. Now, she worked half the time as a bartender. For a girl that was pretty content with doing nothing, Ana's life was perfect. Yet, something was missing.
Part of her was happy with the boring, but most of her craved the instability of her old life, partying and enjoying herself. God only knows the stuff she'd done at Hogwarts. People either loved her or hated her, there didn't seem to be a middle ground. But at the time, Ana loved herself more than one can comprehend. She thrived on chaos, and her life had been full of it. Growing up had always scared her, and the past year and a half had been all about it. Not drinking, staying home, not sleeping with every male that crossed her path, it was all part of a plan to better herself. Yet, she missed the chaos. Life was boring. And boring was something Ana could not tolerate.
No one she knew was going out. People that used to party turned to a family life out of fear brought on by the Death Eaters. Whatever. Not like it affected Ana anyways. So, she dropped most of her old friends and began searching for a new kind of person. Like herself. And she had found one, purely by accident. Alina had stumbled into the Leaky Cauldron one night and the two became fast friends. They had the same views and goals-none at all. All they wanted was to have fun. So Ana had asked her to come meet her again, on her night off. So they could talk again. Before Alina came along it had been a long time since Ana had actually talked to someone. But now, she realized, that chaos was all she had been missing after all.

Lately, Alina had been wandering around the world like a lifeless zombie. She spent her days bouncing around from one meaningless job to the next. She had nothing in life to drive her to do her best. She simply coasted, relying on her good looks and ambitious personality to get her through the day. She had no goals and no plans for the future. Her philosophy was to live in the moment and not worry about the future. All she wanted to do was have fun in the moment and not worry about the consequences of her actions. She didn’t care what she did nor did she care who she hurt. The only feelings that mattered to Alina were her own which contributed to the fact that she was basically alone in the world.
All her life she had pushed people away. She learned from a very young age that life was hard and people leave you. When she was around two or three her parents died, leaving herself and her younger sister an orphan. Though she was young Alina knew something was wrong and ever since then she had pushed people out of her life. She did not even bother getting close to her adoptive parents since she saw no point. They were not her real parents and her mind they would just leave her in some way when she was older anyways. She stopped caring about everyone else and only focused on herself and what she wanted. She never had very much friends growing up. The only person she was close to was her sister and even that relationship she screwed up when she slept with her sister’s boyfriend. She didn’t mean to do that but she was drunk and boys were her one weakness, especially taken men.
Alina had to fill the void of having no real support in her life and she did, with men. They were her one weakness and she adored to be with them. She would jump from one man to another, not caring about emotional attachments. All she was looking for was a good time and to feel close to someone for at least a moment in her life. All the men that came into her life were somehow attatched to her and she could manipulate them any way that she wanted to. She was a whore and there was no denying that. She would sleep with any man, any time and any day. It didn’t matter to her if the man was in a relationship or even married, she would still have sex with him. She had even managed to get some of the men to pay for her apartment rent and some of her bills. Her looks got her far in life but she also lived a very lonely life. She was always just the girl that men would want to hook up with, not be with.
Having recently met Ana, Alina instantly felt a connection with the girl. She knew that this girl was just like her and that they would have lots of fun together. Alina was kind of happy when she received word that Ana wanted to meet with her again. It felt nice that she may actually have a friend for once. Having no job, Alina had the whole day free to go and meet the girl. She dressed herself up, looking her best as she always did and apparated to the Leaky Cauldron. Once she arrived there, she entered the pub and looked around, spotting Ana almost instantly.
“Nice to see you again,” Alina said as she sat down next to Ana. She knew right then and there that they would have a lot of fun together. After all, two single ladies out in a town full of men, what girl wouldn’t have fun? “Shall we have a drink?” Alina asked, nodding towards the bartender. She wanted something strong and that will get her drunk. In her mind, the next best thing to having sex was getting drunk.

When Alina apperated into the Leaky Cauldron and walked over to Ana, there was a feeling of excitement in the pit of her stomach that she hadn't felt in some time. Something Ana learned was that happiness was fleeting and nothing lasted forever. With this being the one moral she lived her life by, Ana rarely got attached and lived each day like it was her last. For a long time this worked, leaving her with a sense of fulfillment and wholeness. But then there was a craving for something more, something that actually meant something. So Ana went and fell in love. With someone the polar opposite of her. Shiloh Cooper was quiet and smart and everything Ana needed in her life. Stable. For once in as long as she remembered, she felt like something could in fact last, maybe she wasn't meant to be alone after all. Quickly Shiloh proved her wrong, tearing down every stereotype she had ever felt toward anyone. But just as quick as he came, Shiloh was gone. No goodbye, no closure. To Ana, he was dead. And she wouldn't take him back for anything. No, being by herself was better than being left vulnerable.
But she missed the feeling of being missed, needed and loved. She missed the presence of people around her. The Hogwarts term was beginning and more than anything Ana wanted to be there, back there where it all began. Even if it meant watching herself get built up then get torn down. Just to feel something. She didn't miss Shiloh, or the lifestyle she had lived when they were together, but she missed the feeling she had for him. So she tried not to think of him at all, for that brought back dangerous memories.
Alina slid next to Ana and an infectious grin cam onto Ana's face without trying. They were a rare kind, people that enjoyed doing absolutely nothing except for whatever they wanted. And tonight, having nothing tying her down felt pretty damn good. "Good to see you again" Alina said while Ana took her first shot of the night. With a grin, AnaLeigh nodded and said, "you too" Alina asked for a drink and Ana motioned her forward, gesturing to the bar. "Open bar for us tonight, i highly doubt Tom will mind." Ana grinned proudly, Tom the ancient bartender was leaning against a booth taking the order of some customers. Strong alcohol was definitely in the plans for tonight, Ana thought. Even if they didn't chase after any guys, Ana was happy to have the company of someone who understood her and wouldn't judge her. "Take what you want. I'm just glad you could meet me." Ana's blue eyes shone like the moon. She had high hopes for tonight.

Alina didn’t really care that she was considered a bitch around the wizarding world. She could live with that and learned a long time ago not to care what other people thought of her. She knew that she did what she did for a reason and there was nothing wrong with that. She was also known as a whore but when you slept around like Alina did, you were bound to receive that reputation. She had no boundaries and would do whatever she wanted to. One time, she even went so far as to sleep with her sister’s boyfriend. Her sister, Ace, had been the only person who had ever been there for her all her life. She was the only person that the frosty woman was close to and Ace was the only person that she did not betray. Well, that was until Alina had seen her younger sister’s boyfriend. Once she took a look at that man she knew that she wanted to sleep with him. It had taken all the power in the world for her to not sleep with him. Then, one night she finally got the chance and made the ultimate betrayal towards her sister. She slept with the boy and when her sister found out Alina said that she was drunk when in reality she was very much sober and just terribly horny.
All of that was in the past though. She had learned a long time ago not to dwell on things that happened in the past and to focus on living the day to the fullest. She would only work when she desperately needed money and that was it. Other than that, she would spend her days and nights in bars or night clubs, hitting on any men she found attractive and looking for a place to spend the night so that she wouldn’t be alone. She would start drinking from as early as ten in the morning until she went to day some days and that was only on extreme days.
Alina was glad to have an actual friend that was a girl to spend the day with today. She loved being with men but it was just nice to have someone to talk about girly things with. Other than her sister she never really had anybody to talk about those types of things with. Alina was over the moon happy when Ana said it was an open bar. “That is fantastic! There is nothing better than an open bar,” Alina grinned, getting up and going straight for the hard liquor. She poured herself a nice tall glass of the liquor before sitting back down next to Ana. “I’m glad that we could meet too. Here’s to a hopefully amazing night,” Alina grinned, raising her glass up in the air for a moment before bringing it back down to her lips and taking a drink. A smile immediately came onto her lips as the alcohol flowed down her throat and into her body. She knew at that moment that it really was going to be an amazing night.
“So how have you been since we’ve last talked? Anything new and interesting? Any guys?” she question, very curious as to what the girl had been up to since the last time that they had met. Hopefully the girl had some interesting stories to tell her so they could engage in some interesting conversation. If not, they would have to get to a nightclub or something before they reach a lull in their night. There is nothing more awkward than a lull in conversation after all.
