Victoria had spent the night thinking about what this other vampire had shown her. He was able to stand in the sun without burning for hours. She was quite interested in this and wanted to see if it was possible. She was currently in her old office and headed up to the Headmas-- Headmistress' office. Her office. It was weird to think that she was now the Headmistress of Hogwarts, but it made her happy to realize that Robert trusted her as much as he did. She knew full well why he needed the year off and she was more than willing to help him out in his tough situation(s).
It was not every day that she earned the complete trust of a human.... and situations like this made her wonder if she was going to be able to stand in the sun. Maybe she was more mortal than she wanted to admit? She wore their clothes, knew their slang (even though she preferred her proper English), and knew a lot about the young people.
Dressed in her dark robes, her hood pulled off her head and hanging loosely across her shoulders, she stood at the bottom of the stairs looking at the shadow that just kept her out of the sun's rays. Just one stair and she would be in the sunlight. She shifted a box to her right hip and cautiously held out her left hand. She waited a moment, and then stuck her hand out in the sun, quickly redrawing it. She looked down at her hand and raised a brow... there was no scorch marks. Perhaps it was too short of a time. She took another deep breath and stuck her hand out again, this time letting it sit in the sun for a good ten seconds.
Her jaw dropped.
To much to her surprise, she did not see any scorching, no burns, no turning into ash. She stood there for a long moment, just looking at her hand in the sun's rays. Why didn't it burn? Had she been forgiven? Perhaps she had always been able to be in the sun? She did not know. But after a couple of minutes, she pulled her hand back and looked down at the line between darkness and light on the floor before her. Did she dare step into the light? Did she risk burning herself entirely? Well... she had to. As the new Headmistress, she would have to attend dinners, and sometimes breakfasts in the Great Hall to announce things. She was VERY happy to have done the Sorting Ceremony at night... but she couldn't just announce things at the end of dinner... she'd have to stand the light for sometime.
She sighed. She was going to need motivation.
