Most people wouldn't guess it, but Caroline really enjoyed watching the rain. Everyone loved watching snow fall, as did she, but there was something about the rain that calmed her just as much - if not more - than the peaceful snow. Rain calmed her in a different way, so she sat under a tree where the branches kept her safe and dry while it rained all around her.
Even after the rained stopped, she didn't move. She hadn't fallen to sleep, she was just listening to everything moving around with her eyes closed. Usually she'd come out and sit under the tree when she had to think through something important, but today she just wanted to hear the wind blow through her hair and the water drops falling off the leaves above her from the recently ended rain.
And she also heard footsteps. Someone was coming. She didn't know who, and she really didn't care. Most people just ignore her or didn't notice her because of her silence, and her friends would just come and sit beside her quietly. They wouldn't bother her while she was listening, not unless they had to tell her something important. But she still didn't open her eyes even has the footsteps got louder and louder. And soon, they stopped, and then Caroline just waited for whoever it was who had approached her to say something.

Kellie was bored of being in the commom room while it was raining outside. Oh how she loved to hear the rain beating above her on the castle roof. She was curled up in her favorite chair with a book called "Magical beats and where they come from." She got up to look out the window opening it she let the rain fall on her face. She smiled as the raindrops went from her head to her chin it felt good on her skin. She shut the window and decided to go outside. She ran up to her dormitory to throw on her raincoat and her rainboots with the purple polkadots. She quickly climbed out of the porthole and saw that she was going to have to go the long way around because the schools annoying poltergist was waiting to play a prank on anyone who came by. She scowled he was so darn evil. Kellie took the third staircase down to the front of the great hall. Then she made her way past the glowing hourglasses of the house points. It was a shame that Ravenclaw beat Slythern in the quidditch match. She opened the doors and slid out into the sloshy mud. The rain was lightening up. She gave a dissapointed face. This was the reason she had come outside in the first place.
Kellie looked up looking around the grounds their was only one person who she saw squinting she saw that it was a Gryffendor who she knew very well by name anyway. It was Michael Goldsteins crush the reason he had hurt his hand in her bestfriend Gabriella’s worst class. Gabriella was a Ravenclaw she had missed the match because she was sick but Ravenclaw still did good gabby was a great chaser though. Kellie smiled then began to walk across the school grounds toward Caroline Lockheart. She wondered how her dad was doing he was a major babe. His smile made a girl want to faint. She was sitting under the tree it looked like she was asleep. “Hey Caroline” She said. “I’m sorry if I woke you” she added with a friendly smile. Caroline was a few years older than her. “How are you today?” Kellie asked her.

Caroline knew she looked asleep. Once in awhile, when someone did approach her while she was underneath her favorite tree, they always were afraid to wake her. Usually they would just stand there sort of awkwardly until Caroline finally said, "I'm not asleep." And then they were free to say whatever they wanted to say. Kellie was no different.
Once she spoke, Caroline opened one eye and looked at her for a moment and then opened the other. "It's alright, I wasn't asleep." Even though Kellie was in Slytherin there was something about her that didn't bother Caroline the way most of the other Slytherins did. She kind of liked Kellie, actually, although she wasn't sure exactly what about her she liked. At she wasn't full out rude like most of the other Slytherins were. "And I'm very well today. I love the rain. And how are you?"
Even though Caroline is very shy, when she's talking to girls she's not as silent as she is around boys. That just because she doesn't want to make a completely fool of herself in front of boys, which usually tends to happen. But she wasn't worried about Kellie. So what if she was a Slytherin? Caroline was nice to everyone. Quiet, but still friendly.

Kellie smiled at Caroline she was so nice even though Kellie was a slythern. Most people use to judge Kellie because of the house she was in but not Caroline and not gabby or Cheyenne they were so sweet to Kellie. She missed Ryan though they had had a bad encounter when she was joking with him. then Gabby ran off everyday with Alex Cahn and Cheyenne was busy with Tempest so nobody had really had had time for her lately and it was nice to finally have someone to talk to. No one had talk to her in two weeks it made her feel lonely without anyone. She sat down next to Caroline she needed a friend and someone to take her mind off the friends who had abanded her. "It's nice to have someone now.... my real friends all seem to busy for me these days" she told Caroline. Kellie had always been this way she was always open and easy to talk to. Kellie smiled at her again. “so what brings you out here besides the rain?” She asked curiously. Kellie remebered something else. Micheal and his hand so this was the girl he had hurt his hand for. She could see why Caroline was so pretty and had beautiful blue eyes. “I just needed to get out of the castle it feels lonely in my room with no one to look forward to… me and my bestfriend Gabriella always did stuff everyday but now all she has time for is her boyfriend Alex…you may know him he’s in your house.

Usually, Caroline was the most shy and silent person to ever walk the Earth. But, when she was around her friends, even if they were Slytherin friends, she was able to open up a little more than she would around a stranger... or a boy. And for some reason, she liked Kellie. But she knew that others thought she was crazy for even talking to a Slytherin. Yet, there was something different about Kellie than the other jerks in her house. She sat up straighter when Kellie began to talk and looked up at her. "Well, you don't have to worry about that. I'm never busy... unless you count sitting under a tree busy," she admitted with a smile.
Kellie was probably the nicest Slytherin she'd ever met. She wasn't rude or a jerk like most of the others. Now, that didn't mean she was cunning. The sorting hat must have put her in that house for a reason. There was probably a darker, cunning side to her. But that didn't mean she didn't deserve Caroline's trust. "Hm... besides the rain. Well, I had a strange dream last night and it still bothering me. I thought maybe getting some fresh air would help." Unfortunately, it wasn't helping yet. Caroline rarely had dreams that she could remember more than bits and pieces of. But this time she could remember every little detail of it, and none of it was anything but nightmares.
At the name Alex, Caroline thought a moment. The name was familiar, and she knew him from some of her classes, but she'd never really talked to him before. "I don't know him, but I know of him. He seems nice enough but I've never talked to him before."

“Naw I wouldn’t count that as being busy” Kellie laughed. Caroline was open too just like her she sat down as Caroline told her why she was out there. “Um… if you don’t mind me asking… what did you dream about exactly was it a good dream or a bad one?” she asked curiously. Kellie was always curious she couldn’t help it but she loved to listen to people hearing about their problems and worries made her forget about hers. It was nice sitting here talking to her. Then she had said she had heard of Alex. “Well he always has Gabriella’s attention and we’ve been best friends since we first came to Hogwarts. I had been walking through the Gryffindor side of the train because of my obsession on curiosity and she was sitting with her cousin Louis which he got up to leave and I sat down next to her. We were both hoping to be in Gryffindor together because that’s where all her of her family is housed but she got Ravenclaw and I got Slythern I wasn’t too happy but my family was… and ever since people diss me all the time because of my house but I’m not a true Slythern because even my Slythern friends pick at me because of the way I act I just don’t think just because you’re a Slythern that you have to be rude and snobby. I like hanging with people who make me smile not with people who are always depressing me by saying bad things and who their going to jinx or crap like that.” Kellie finished hoping she hadn’t annoyed her new friend by talking way to much. “sorry I talk a lot” she said apologizing to Caroline.

Caroline thought for a long time about her dream to answer Kellie's question. "Well, it was actually a very strange dream. I can't really tell if it was all that scary. It was just dark. And I was running from something, but I can't remember what it was..." she sighed and looked up at her. "That's why I'm out here, trying to remember. But I'm failing epically at it."
She looked up at Kellie for a moment and listened to her talk about Slytherin. "Yeah, I know. I don't fit in Gryffindor, either. That silly hat first thought about Ravenclaw, but then right before he made the decision he changed his mind. I'm not very brave at all whatsoever, and I'm really shy towards people I don't know..." she shrugged, "Perhaps I was put here to make me get over whatever fear I have. I don't know."
That was the best theory Caroline could come up with. She probably would have been happier in Ravenclaw, come to think of it. She was definitely smart enough with her photographic memory, but she was shy so maybe even Hufflepuff. She pursed her lips at the thought and went back to focusing on her dream again for a few moments before she focused on Kellie again as she finished her speech. She just nodded in agreement. "I want to spend time with people who make me smile, too," she smiled back at her as if proving her point about smiling. Caroline might not say much, but she's smart and knows when she's trusting the right person. And Slytherin or not, she considered Kellie trustworthy.
She smiled at Kellie when she apologized. "It's quite all right. I rarely say more than two sentences, so you're talking can get rid of awkward silences."

“I forget a lot of my dreams too… mainly because some are so crazy that it isn’t even important to worry about even though I would like to know why they are so strange” Kellie said smiling. Her life was strange anyway. She answered Caroline’s next statement. “My best friend is in Ravenclaw… Gabriella Weasley the one I mentioned earlier… I think you would have been brilliant in Ravenclaw…You seem smart to me” Kellie said “And I don’t think Gryffindors that bad it would be nice to be in any house than Slythern… I hate being shunned out of everything I wouldn’t care if I was a dingy Hufflepuff just anything but Slythern. Kellie always now felt depressed because it wasn’t just about her friends not being around it was also the fact that people wouldn’t hang with her because of her being the damn Slythern she was. Even her dream guy Ryan Wake was rude to her because of it. She remembered his last words to her before he walked off and left her crying in the hall. She had been joking with him about being rude and obnoxious well she took it as joking but he didn’t all he said was “I guess you’re starting to show your true colors now” and walked off it hurt deeply because she had fallen in love with him and it crushed her even thinking about it made her want to burst into tears. But she decided to not to. “Well I can make you smile” said Kellie showing her, her most goofiest facial expression the laughed at herself it felt good to laugh. “I love to talk my mom says I have ttms which meaning Talks Too Much Syndrome” Kellie said laughing again.

"I like that. TTMS... I'll have to remember that," she smiled back her when Kellie made the funny face. "Yes, you can make me smile. That's what I like that about you," she admitted.
She sighed as she thought for a little while as Kellie spoke some more. She was listening, she was just listening and also dozing off every couple seconds to think of other things. Having a photographic memory means that keeping all those thoughts in control meant tuning her friends out once in a while. She focused back on Kellie again after a minute or two. "You know, I thought I was going to Ravenclaw, too," she admitted. "For some reason, though, that hat saw some bravery in me..."
Of course, Caroline couldn't relate to her issues with Ryan Wake. She had the perfect boy who really loved her more than she ever imagined her could. She didn't really like talking about it though. She always felt like she was showing off her boyfriend if she spoke of him too much. But if Kellie asked, she'd tell her their story.
Being the silent and watchful type that Caroline was, it was obvious to see why Ryan Wake didn't want anything to do with Kellie. That's why she felt so bad for Kellie. That's why she was so nice to Kellie. Of course, she was nice toward everybody, whether they were creepy perverted jerks or small and shy like herself. Kellie was the misunderstood Slytherin that really needed someone to be nice to her once in a while. It seemed that Caroline was one of the only ones who really understood that about her. Maybe that's why Kellie seemed to like her so much in return.
"My best friends are in Ravenclaw, too," she agreed. Then she added, hoping it would make Kellie feel better, "I think you would be good in any house... maybe that's why you were placed in Slytherin. Maybe they wanted to prove that not everyone can fit into a stereotype."
