It had been a long time since Lily saw home, saw her parents, her siblings....Chris. Living in a one room shack wasn't really living. Lily was a slave, Bellatrix's slave. In order to keep them all alive, she had to sit here, day in and day out, constantly brewing polyjuice potion. Lily had gotten so good at it, from doing it so often, that she could make the stuff with her eyes closed. She did get to go outsdie, enjoy the sunshine the best she could but, there wasn't too much sun in the middle of a heavy wooded forest. Worst part was, Lily didn't know where she was. She didn't know if she was in England, Scotland...she didn't know. All she knew is that nearly every day muggles walked right past her. They didn't see her, smell her, hear her. Lily and her shack were invisible to them.
As time passed, Lily played her part, getting on Bellatrix's good side. So much so, that now Bellatrix let her go out, somewhat disguised, to gather the polyjuice ingredients and whatever things she needed for herself. Still, during these times when Lily was let out of her prision, she always knew she was never alone. Lily was always followed, either by Bellarix herself or someone else. It was like they were daring her to do something, to try and get away and tell someone about her captivity. Lily wouldn't, she coudln't. bellatrix had made it ratehr clear that if Lily told anyone, that person would be killed. She would rather have everyone thing she was some evil, psychotic bitch rather than have any of them dead because of her.
Today happened to be one of those days were Lily had been allowed to leave, and go out in public. A hooded death eater came a got her, apparating her to diagon alley, and left her just as quickly as she arrived. Lily sighed, glad to be alone again, although she knew she wasn't really alone. She pulled up the hood of her cloak, half concealing her identity. Lily first went and got the few potions ingredients at the apothecary. Once business was finished, she picked up a few essential things for herself, and was able to wander the alley with how ever much remaining time she had left. Lily never knew for sure.
Lily slowly made her way down the paved walkway. It wasn't necessarily a busy day with students at Hogwarts. There were still enough people for her to see. Lily tended to observe families, those with the kids too young for Hogwarts yet. She watched as mothers spent time with their daughters, and fathers doing the same thing. It reminded Lily of her own parents, and how much she missed just being with them. No one ever knows how lucky they are to have something until it's taken away from them. Lily learned that awhile ago. Lily saw her father once and it took all her strength not to go running to him. Instead, she turned away before he could see her, and she had to quickly walk off in the opposite direction. Luckily, he hadn't followed her. Lily wasn't even sure if he noticed, as she kept herself hidden.
Suddenly feeling angry, Lily walked off a little ways outside of the alley. She threw back her hood when she thought it was safe enough, and sat down on a nearby bench. Tears stung her eyes for a moment before she blinked them back. Lily wouldn't wish this sort of pain on her worst enemy. It never dulled, it was always the same every time she felt it. Lily took in a deep breath and blew it out, wondering how much time she had left. without anything left to do, she decided she was just going to sit here until who ever came to get her.
