It was just another weekend at Hogwarts. People were either sleeping in, or running about, and some made their way over to Hogsmeade. Walking around the grounds, Kevin tightened his coat around him, and walked about mindlessly. He ran a hand through his messy, chocolate brown hair. It had been a while since he had been seen around Hogwarts. Recently Kevin has simply been locking himself in his dorm or making frequent trips to go visit the family. He was the youngest of the Lott family, and also one of the favorites. His mother didn't mind so much his visiting, Vi always missed her son dearly. Well, most of her children for that matter. His father however, wanted him to quit hiding away and face his problems and go to school. All in all though the trips were splendid. Kev spent a lot of time with his niece and nephew while away as well. He knew that he had to come back to Hogwarts soon though. The general human population had been bugging him, and he felt as though he couldn't take it anymore. As terrible and dramatic as it sounded, Kevin would fully agree that people were annoying creatures.
But, we all know that there is always a few exceptions. Or if you could call them that. Firstly, and mostly; Carina. He loved the girl, and he had admitted it to her. So much was going on with them though, that he had to go, but he would never admit that to her. Then, Kaelyn. Kevin didn't really know this girl, but he knew that she was extremely beautiful, and extremely beautiful pain in the ass in his words. From previous times he had spent with her ( which were not many ) he had figured out that she did not like him as much as he liked himself. Being born into a wealthy, powerful, and good-looking family, Kevin always found himself highly attractive. He also knew that women found him insanely attractive. However, with Kaelyn, it was different. She didn't fawn over him, but laughed and scoffed at him. Which to Mr. Lott, was a strange occurrence. Normally he would just play it off, telling himself ( and often others ) that she was in denial. Kaelyn though, just didn't seem like the person would deny that type of thing.
And if she was, she did a hell of a good job doing it. Kevin looked down to his feet, thinking about everything that had been going on lately. From all the trips to his parents house, to what happened in Herbology this morning. He kicked at the snow beneath his feet, and continued to move forward. It wasn't cold outside, but it was exactly warm either. Cold weather didn't really bother Kev much, being born and raised in England and then moving to Scotland for a short bit could do that to one's perception of cold. Finally, Kevin raised his head, squinting at an attempt to see past the fluffy white substance falling from the air to calculate where he was exactly. 'It's bloody fucking April, it shouldn't be fucking snowing.' he thought to himself. He lifted his hand to his face, noticing that his fingers were a bright red, and his palms a fleshy pink that looked like they were ready to blend into the same red color as his fingers. He shoved both hands into his pocket, searching for a bench or somewhere to sit down at. Soon enough he found one and sat down, observing the bodies walking all around him.
Every fifteen minutes or so he heard a giggle coming from a group of fifth years, or a guy would shoot a glare at him while their girlfriends giggled and waved at him. Kevin wasn't much of a player, especially since he had that one afternoon with Carina, them sitting under a tree. Like any other man, he liked woman, but never saw them as objects. His mother raised him better than that, and how he thought of woman also came from having to live in a house full of girls. The men in the house modeled for the youngest Lott boy how woman should be treated. Kevin wouldn't deny that he did mess around with girls, but one night stands were rare for him. He didn't believe in the whole "pre-marital" sex argument, but he didn't find it attractive at all to sleep around with tons of people. To him it was a revolting thought. He wasn't one to judge though, he did in fact have one of those people in his family. Kevin looked behind him for a quick second before snapping his head forward again, he figured that he would just sit here for a bit, reminisce if he could even think straight for a moment.
