The morning actually started off great. Dominique woke up like usual and headed for the bathroom. She had an amazing shower and was relax. Except it seemed she forgot her clothes back on her bed. But no, the girls in her dorm planned an ambush. A couple of nights before Dominique had a heated discussion with the girls about her private life. They obviously thought it was wrong for someone pretty, blond, and seventeen to not have a social life, or any romantic relationships. It went pretty far in to the night. One thing lead to another and well Dominique had enough of the conversation. So she simply told them she would do it.
Apparently they were completely serious. She now sat on her bed with girls surrounding her. A couple pulled at her hair and other took a turn with her make up. But when she went to the bathroom, she accio-ed her stuff and fixed herself for the natuarl look, she was not a fan of too much makeup. She then taught them how to get a beach looking hair style. Her's looked so perfectly messy, that is was almost like magic. They then allowed her to chose her clothing, which they had no problem with. They liked her pencil black shirt and red top. She ran a hand through her hair.
Dominique was soon on her way down the stairs her red pumps making small clicks on the stone. As she walked she slipped on her white jacket and finally finished with some black sunglasses. They told her to meet him by the doors. So she went outside and leaned against the wall. "Ugh, girls are just bloody annoying." she muttered as she waited. She sort of hoped he was planning on standing her up.

Jared had been told by one of his gal friends that he was going on a blind date weather or not he liked it. He raised a brow at this, but if there was one thing that he had learned was that once a woman had made her mind up about something, there was no use arguing, brcause you would just be torn down no matter what your angle was at the situation. Sighing, he looked down at his clothes; he was in nice jeans, some Chuck Taylors and a halfway button up thermal and an army jacket his mom had found for him for Christmas. He gave a fake grin in the mirror as one of the guys in his dorm teased that he was 'lookin' stylish'. That was the last thing he liked, but hell, it was a blind date and girls usually went all out for a date and she could be in an evening gown for all he knew. Or so he thought. Slinging a silver chain around his neck that had a polished brown stone hanging at the end, he headed out, grabbing some money along the way. It was custom for the man to by, wasn't it? He sighed and blew the air through his lips as he hurried down the stairs. Stuffing his hand in his pocket, the free one went to his head and brushed out his hair. He knew it looked like he just rolled out of bed, but that's how he always looked. He walked down the hall and heard someone murmuring to themselves, something about girls and being bloody annoying. He gave a crooked smile and guessed that was the right gal. While else would the pretty blond be all dressed up? He pulled his hands from his pockets and walked up to her. "Hello... I'm Jared... Are you Dominique?" ____ OOC: Words: 314 Outfit: Clickie!Notes: And so it begins! =D

Dominique was actually quite impressed with her little 'friend.' She managed to get her to say yes to something without using the guilt card, the girl was a sucker for someone in need. She bit her lip and waited a bit. Which was not that much since he wad already there. 'One point for him,' she thought, she was expecting the guy to be a bit late. The blond turned on her heel and looked up at the tall guy. Her eyes landed on his before they looked at the rest of him. At least he had style, and was handsome, in his own way. Dominique mentally slapped herself.
She would never give a guy the time of day and here she was on a date. It actually made her a bit nervous. She never had this experience, she avoided it most of the time. She was either too busy with school or just hiding in her dorm room. But the surprising thing was that she actually was checking him out. She wanted to sneer at him but she kept it to herself. She was definately going to have some difficults with this guy.
No his name was Jared, not some guy. She gave him her normal small smile, "Yeah, I am Dominique Weasley, pleasure." she held her hand out to him, she was some times a little too proper. "So the plan for tonight our choice?"

Something about this girl told him that he was just a little under-dressed, but how was he supposed to know? She did look very nice in her skirt and top with matching heels and jacket. However, she did seem just as uncomfortable as he did. Which was great. Meant that they would probably at least have something in common to talk about... perhaps. She introduced herself as Dominique Weasley and that it was a pleasure to meet him. He nodded and shook her hand politely. "Jared Davis. But most people just call me Jared." He smiled awkwardly. He really did feel out of place.
But... Damn! She looked so familiar. He just couldn't put his finger on it.
Hearing her ask if what they did tonight was up to them and he shrugged, sticking his hands back in his pockets and tilting his head to the side lightly. "Yeah... I guess it is. What would you like to do Dominique?" He asked. He was really rather curious to see how this would go, what she would want to do, and if he could figure out why she looked so damn familiar.

"Jared." she nodded and softly shook his hand. The then played with the name in her head, she did not want to make a fool of herself later. She bit her lip, was she to chose the activity of the night? Oh goodness she never been on a date, what did she know. Her grey eyes searched the area. "We could take a walk to Hogsmead maybe, or just stay on the grounds, but I honestly dunno what I want to do." Dominique's eyes went back on him. He looked as awkward as she felt. She began chewing the inside of her cheek, a nervous habit of hers.
She placed her hands back into the pockets of her coat and tried to give him a reassuring smile. It was not their fault, they just knew the wrong people. "Um yeah, let us take a walk to Hogsmead and we can pick somehing when we get there?" The blond just wanted to move now, just standing they was not helping her at all. She moved her legs a bit, not due to her heels, they had a comfort charm placed on them, but because she was too stiff.
Dominique took a hand out to rub the back of her neck before she waited for his answer.

Jared heard her request and he thought it was a brilliant idea. Maybe they could do dinner and some ice cream or something? Maybe shop? He didn't know... he was honestly up for anything. He nodded lightly and then held out an arm to escort her as they headed to Hogsmeade. He took a breath as they began to walk and he looked at her slightly, still keeping an eye forward as to not trip or collide with someone. He smiled lightly.
"So... why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself...? What do you like to do in your spare time, Dominique?" He used her name a lot, and quite honestly, he liked it a lot. It was unique, and he didn't really know anyone with that name. He was sure to remember it. But he would only call her Dom if given permission. It was only proper of him.
(ooc: you can get us to hogsmeade in this next post if you'd like... kinda just speed the walking process up. but i'll leave it up to you.)

And boom, Jared's action surprised Dominique. He seemed to silently agreed to the idea by holding his arm out for her. She seemed to have an argue in her head before she took ahold of his arm. Ther attention went to the front of her as they began to walk towards the gates. Dominique even smiled a bit. Not a fake smile but a relaxing one. But it did not last long, she was not an easy person to be company with. Her eyes looked around before they went on him. What could she tell him?
"Well, I am in Hufflepuff, a seventh year, I use to be on the quidditch team, but not anymore." she shrugged a bit. All the chaser positions were filled and though she could play it, she did not want to be beater. She was not sure what to say next. What else did he want to know? Did he want to learn about her almost too big family? Or her interests? She didn't even know what they were. She was interested in fashion and she liked to read. Dominique just puzzled herself. Well she did tell him a little about herself.
They were quiet for a moment. Well it was not a moment, because they were entering the Hogsmead Village. "Your turn, tell me a little about yourself?" her eyes went back on him.

As she took his arm, he flashed her a charming smile. Things were going okay... or so he hoped. He knew that he was terrible when it came to this dating thing, and he only hoped that he could make it through the night without fucking up too bad. She gave a light, relaxing smile, and again, it struck him as familiar. Where had he seen this girl before?
And then it hit him.
As she said that she was a Hufflepuff, in seventh year, and used to play Quidditch, he knew exactly who she was: She was the pretty blond gal that had caught his attention in the hustle-and-bustle of the crowd at school and on the field. His stomach flipped. 'pi]Who'd-a-thunk?[/i]' he thought to himself, '... that I'd end up on a date with the only gal to have grabbed my attention out of the hundreds of others here... He smiled to himself and then he realized just how long he had been quiet.
As they walked into Hogsmeade, she asked him to tell her a little about himself. He figured he owed her at least the very same information she gave him, and maybe a little more wouldn't hurt. "Well.... I'm in Gryffindor, Seventh year... And I play Quidditch for recreation at home, but have never played for the school. Err.." he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well. I'm very out-door-sie... for lack of a better term... and I enjoy hiking, biking, mountain rock climbing, white-river riding... you name it!" he laughed lightly. And then looked around. "Well... are you hungry? Would you like to pick a place for dinner?" _____ ooc: words: 278 note: woot! ^^ this is awesome!

So far so good. Nothing has yet to go wrong for the two. But she was not sure what could go wrong, right? Dominique continued to walk with him. The day was beautiful with that light breeze that gave enough reason for her jacket. The blond moved some hair away from her face and just enjoyed the silence, it was different from the common room hustle and bustle of the day. She was almost glad of this. Actually she was so far enjoying all this, though they hardly said much. She glanced at him. Gryffindor and her year, she probably had one of two classes with him, but Dominique did not recognized him. Guilt was forming but it wasn't that bad, she did not know anyone.
The blond's eyebrows rose a bit. Out-door-sie? Well that was something she did not expect. She waa not like that too much but she was athletic, but she hardly enjoyed those activities, she rather stay in and read some new novel. And oh goodness, he just made her realise she was boring. Well that was something she was just not expecting. Dominique paused for a bit. She needed to think of this not her little problems. "Why are you... Out-door-sie?" the word sounded a bit funny coming from her mouth. She wanted to know why he would describe himself as this.
Her pale blue eyes searched the little village, she did not actually have a meal here, so she was a bit lost. "How about you pick the place, I've only had drinks around here, not sure who cooks." she gave him a nervous, shy smile. She was actually she hadn't stumbled over her words or said something harsh, she knew she was not the nicest person.

It was a wonder that he had not said something that he did not mean to or that came out wrong. He sighed lightly, taking in the cool day’s fresh air. He could stay outside all day, but it did not really seem that she was really impressed by his whole ‘outdoor-sie’ habits. And when she asked why he was, he thought for a moment and then started. “Well… My dad was very athletic and he loved hiking and biking, and I would always go with him growing up, and I fell in love with it. I guess you can say I just grew into it.” He shrugged. “Do you like any of those things?” he asked, raising a quizzical brow. Most of him wanted her to say yes, but he knew that it wasn’t really everyone’s cup of tea. She told him to pick the place, she had only been here for drinks before. He gave a half-grin and nodded. “Well… I’m down for a bar Pizza. Want to just go to the Three Broom Sticks and get a pizza and beer?” he asked her. Man… this was going to be fun. He now knew that she liked to drink a little, and he did not mind doing that every once in a while himself. And when you went drinking with a friend, or maybe even a potential girlfriend, it made you seem less pathetic than if you went alone. He smiled at that epiphany and then opened the door to the three broomsticks as they arrived, just in time for a light rain to start.

Dominique thought about his reasoning, sounded like he basically grew up into it. But then he rounded it onto her. Did she like that kind of stuff? In a way she did but she did not like it. “I am athletic, so I take part in some of those things, but I prefer running and quidditch and the occastional work out.” She shrugged a bit. She was more into making her body perfect than anything else really. Hiking she would try, but she doubt she’d like it and biking, well it was just so muggle-ish. She was not that into muggle things, it wasn’t that she was a complete pureblood who hated magicless things, but it was just not her life style. She was more into brooms and horses. She stayed close to him before they arrived at the Three Broomsticks.
Pizza and beer? Dominique hadn’t had anything fattening in a long time, or in fact anything unhealthy or involved alcohol. Actually that was a lie, she got drunk not too long ago, but that was another story for another time. “Yeah that’s alright.” She guessed she could get out of her habits just for a day, she was not completely sure this guy even liked her to ask her out a second time, plus from what she was told, she is a bit of a snooze fest. He held the door open for her and she smiled a bit before going into the crowded place. She looked around while she slipped off her coat.

Smiling lightly as she said that she was kind of into that stuff and that she was more into working out, running and brooms, he nodded to her and thought for a moment. Maybe next time they could go for a hike? If she wanted a next time... He hoped so. He was really enjoying her, as bland as she was coming off. He was convinced that there was more to her than met the eye... as there was to almost everyone. But there was something different about her that caught his attention, and as she walked into the pub in front of him, he wondered just what it was that caught his attention.
But he shook that thought from his mind as he followed her in, closing the door, and taking her coat for her as he paid the service man to hang it up for them. He took his number and decided to keep his coat on... it was not all that thick and he liked the way it looked. Worst case scenario, he would take it off and hang it on the back of his chair. He smiled and found a couple stools at the bar that were open. He stepped in front of her and waved her over towards them.
Weaving his way through the tables, they made it to the bar and he ordered. "I'd like a beer and the best bar pizza..." he looked at her next to him. "What would you like, Dominique?" he asked, waiting patiently as she decided.
