Moms. You might not always like them and they might drive you bonkers, but you gotta love them. At least, that was how Reece saw it. She hardly ever got along with her mother but Audrey was all the family Reece had left. With her father, Adam, and older brother, Caden, missing, Reece felt it was her responsibility to look after her mother. Therefore, she had tried to patch up their rocky relationship. Reece had never really approved of her mothers history but in the last two years Reece had learned to appreciate everything her mother had been through and all of her choices. In trying to not be like her mom, she had turned out just like her. In the past it would have been a struggle for the two to spend even an hour together, but today was different.
Reece only had a few months left at Hogwarts and needed to figure out what she wanted to do after that. A part of her had become more and more curious about the Dark Lady and her plans but then part of her was hesitant to turn down that path. She was confused and struggling with what to do, so in the end, she had turned to her mother, a former DE. Although Audrey was neutral now, she had switched sides several times in her past and might be able to give her daughter some advice. Reece had been hesitant to ask but when she did, Audrey had been surprisingly supportive, saying she would support her daughter no matter what path she decided to take.
Recently, Reece had also been thinking about Fall Into Shades, the shop and bar that her mother used to own. It had been a small establishment in Hogsmeade. Reece had spent the first nine years of her life living above the shop with her family. After Adam's disappearance, Audrey had closed the place down, and packed the kids up, taking them to Ireland. Reece hoped to reopen it and had also approached her mother about it.
After spending hours listening to Audrey reminisce and explain what needed to be done and how to go about it, Reece left feeling satisfied with her coming future, and with the turn her relationship with her mother had taken. But before heading back to Hogwarts, the young blonde paid a visit to the Green Dragon Pub in Knockturn Alley. She'd been there several times before but didn't expect to see any familiar faces. Walking up to the bar she set her clutch down and ordered a drink. As soon as she got her drink, Reece pulled out a cigarette and lit it. She turned to lean her back against the bar just in time to see a familiar, handsome face walk in.
