Settled on a large couch in the room of requirement, Gabriel stared at the piano at the center of the room, lit gently by the warm, flickering glow of the candles. His mind was wrapped around Violet and the times they shared there. It was strange… they never introduced each other to the other. It was never necessary… until circumstances called for it… and unfortunately, those circumstances had been terribly awkward. They had shared many nights here playing music, sharing a passion with it, and enjoying their time with each other as strangers. It was unique, it was fun. Perhaps that’s why he did not tell her his name for a while. Of course, she never asked, nor offered hers for him… so it was a silent, mutual agreement. He smiled gently.
Looking down at the papers in front of him, he was in the middle of writing a song and he wondered what the lyrics should be, or if the music it’s self was enough. He thought that most of the time he was able to captivate his emotions in his music, so he hoped that it would be all right for when he performed it. Thinking about it, he grabbed some spare parchment and looked out the window. His owl was sitting at the sill, feathers puffed up to keep himself warm against the January chill. He walked over and attached the letter to his leg and pointed at the window he remember as Violet’s window. He was inviting Ms. Violet to join him in their favorite place.
They had spent Christmas together and his mother had just spoiled them both and he was happy with the fact that his mother was so excited to have Violet there. His mother had bought her clothes and shoes, hats and scarves, and his father got her a silver jewelry box with a mirror and a Russian Ballerina that twirled in the middle when it was opened. And as gentlemanly as Gabriel was, he got her a silver bracelet with her name writing in Russian on the top of it. It wasn’t as much as his parents got her, but he hoped that she liked it…she had worn it a few times, but January in Russia? It was damn near impossible to see anyone’s wrists in that kind of weather. He grinned and looked down at his music, humming the notes while he held the music with one hand and conducted with the other.
He would wait patiently for her. It was fairly early in the morning. There were still a couple hours before breakfast was going to be served and if he couldn’t sleep, he might as well play music. It was just as relaxing as it would be to lay in bed nice and warm with a hot cup of tea. But there were bigger matters on his mind. He was going to try out with a record company and see if he could get a deal and start recording in a studio….it would be a lifelong dream come true and he had to share it with Violet. ____

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Violet was so happy that it was over finally. Finally she found someone who cared. Finally she wasn't alone with her pain and sorrow. It was so wonderful meeting Gabriel Drowskowki walking into the room of requirements out of curiosity. If she didn't meet him she would most likely stay in the brothel till she kills herself. She didn't know his name before even though they shared some time together playing piano in that mysterious room. They didn't need to know their names because they seemed to understand each other without words. She didn't realize just yet that she fell in love with him. But she enjoyed their lessons. But when the new term started Violet didn't come for a meeting three weeks in a row. Why? Because she had been kidnapped by Jacob Peace and forced to work in a brothel. She spent there the whole summer and September. She had luck that Gabriel's friend forced him to pay a visit in the cathouse. They finally told each others names and they came up with an escape plan. Violet didn't want to stay there any longer. And she didn’t have to. She got new home, new family instead.
It was so wonderful to meet Gabriel's parents. She was a bit ashamed of what they were saying. She had no idea that their son described her that way. But it proved he cared for her. Since that day she was barely alone. Her Guardian Angel was always there for her. Especially that that bustard who killed her father taught at Hogwarts. She didn't join his classes but there was always a possibility to meet him anywhere in the castle or grounds or even in Hogsmeade. He could hurt her again. But Violet got her joy back and she wasn't going to let Demetri destroy her sunny day.
Violet still was a bit frightened. She still was scared of males and overreacted sometimes. She’s been through hell at the young age. No one could blame her that she looked scared, that she was shy and seemed to be closed for others. She trusted no one, well except Gabriel who saved her. She knew she could always count on him. But she had a hard time to trust anyone else, even Chris Wyatt (Peace) and Lucy Weasley, her closest friend hadn’t her trust fully. It was something she couldn’t ménage to do just yet. But they understood and she was grateful. Yet, she needed their support. She needed any sign of good intentions. She needed friendship, she needed love and understatement. She didn’t know where her mom was and her dad had been murdered so she had like no family except for her cousin Nina. She didn’t want to be alone again. She didn’t want to be help and hopeless anymore.
Violet usually didn’t bear a grudge against anybody. She didn't know why there was so much hatred in people. But after what she's been put though, she learned to hate. She knew how to abhor. She had many reasons to. Though, sometimes her fear was stronger and over the hatred. She could do nothing being so scared. And she learned what it meant to hold a grudge against somebody. No one really looked for her. No one tried to find her when she disappeared so suddenly. Of course she couldn't blame her friend, Lucy Weasley because she lost her memory. She couldn't blame Chris Wyatt because he was out of Hogwarts and what was important for him was his girlfriend and he tried to help her many times when he found out about her being in that place but failed because they found her and made her come back. And finally she couldn't blame Gabriel. He didn't even know her name nor did she know his. And she was sure he wondered where she was when she didn't come to their secret piano lessons in the room of requirements. But she blamed teachers, she blamed headmaster, she blamed the Ministry. Maybe she wasn't the most important figure, maybe she meant nothing, but she was underage yet. She should finish her education. And her father has been killed. Why no one did notice that? Yes, he was a muggle but they lived in the wizarding town. Why no one did inform her mother wherever she was on some mission from the ministry. And now where she was back to Hogwarts why none of her owls she sent to her mother were responded? She had so many questions, so many doubts and grievance and sorrow.
But Vi was almost over that. She still had whiles when she shivered or got quiet hearing certain words. She still had nightmares but not as often as before. But she tried not to show it. She tried just forget about what was bothering her and focus on good things she's been experiencing with Gabriel and his family. For example Christmas. Violet felt a little sad because she couldn't give them anything but gratitude, warm Christmas wishes and kind smile. She had nothing, no money to buy gifts. She knew she would never have a chance to pay them back in kind enough. But she used her writing skills and wrote every of them a poem. It was all she could do except helping them with small things they let her to.
It was early in the morning when the owl flew into Violet's dormitory. Peacefully asleep she didn't hear anything but music played on the piano in her dream. The owl which been here many times landed on her bed and nudged her with its small beak. It didn't wake her just yet but when the bird hooted had woken up immediately. No one else owled her since her father was murdered and her mother was gone somewhere. Besides no owls could enter or leave castle grounds so it must be him. And she was not mistaken. Violet knew that very owl very well. She smiled at it and untied the letter and quickly opened it to read it. Her smile grew as she read a body of a letter. She just had to do morning things to do and she was ready to meet her Guardian Angel.
***
As she got to the right floor and went down the corridor to the right place where her feet first led her couple months ago following played music she heard in a hall, Violet passed three times in front of an empty wall thinking about their meeting place. The door appeared there and she opened them gently, trying not to do too much noise and walked in. "Good Morning." she said with a bright smile on her pretty face when her eyes met a familiar figure at the piano. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ TAG(S); Gabe <3 WORDS; 1145? Gabriel dropped his hand to his lap and the music in it. He reached with the hand that had just been conducting, to rub his closed eyes. The lack of sleep was getting to him and he would not mind just curling up on this cozy couch and taking a nap. He knew that he had classes this morning, but that was a good two hours away. He let out a slight yawn and then rested his head on the pillow as he laid back. He was still humming the tune as his mind drifted and he finally fell asleep. Reaching down from the ladder, his mother stood three steps up trying to reach some higher branches on the tree. She cursed in Hebrew and him and his father laughed lightly at her as she tried to regain her balance on the latter. She rolled her eyes at them and then demanded an ornament for the tree. Gabriel looked around and saw that Violet was holding the box on her lap. She looked up at him, smiling brightly, her hair in amazing golden curls, falling down around her face. He could feel his heart burst and he reached forward for the box. She handed him one and then looked over at his father as Gabriel returned to hand some ornaments to his mother on the latter.
His father was asking Violet if she would like some warmed, spiced rum and Gabriel nodded as well as Violet. His dad always had the most fancy rums and exquisite taste in foods, that there was never a dull meal or evening together when there was company. But instead of inviting his associates over to help decorate for Christmas, he just wanted it to be family time. Gabriel was glad for that. When he returned with the rum he handed his wife one and then gave Violet Gabriel's as well. She looked up at him and he was reaching for it and she shook her head. 'What's the password, hunny?' she asked, smiling brightly. He leaned on the couch and leaned forward, getting closer to her angelic face, and--"Good morning! Her voice rang out. Gabriel sat up, a little startled and found himself at the piano. He must have slept walked to it. Had he really dreamed that? Was he, what his mother called it, in love with Violet? A small part of him hoped that was a dream from the future... Maybe time would tell. He looked over at her and chuckled lightly. "Good morning, Vi. I hope you slept well?" _____ words: 436 tagg: Vi notes: did not do your post justice... but i thought it was nice =) outfit: clickie

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ It was still early in the morning but Violet didn’t expect to see Gabriel sleeping. She didn’t realize at first but she actually woke him up. She felt a little bad about it but the feeling was gone as fast as it came when she heard him chuckle. Vi really liked seeing Gabe so happy. She owed him so much, yet he didn’t expect anything from her in return. He seemed so selfless that Violet trusted him boundlessly. Care and heart he and his family showed her after she’s been put through misery were more than she needed for living. She felt important, loved and needed. She thought life wasn’t such a bitch. Her heart and mind was open for others back again, and she was ready for new good experiences. She was grateful the young man before her brought her back to the world. She was grateful her old self she hid deep inside was unveiling again.
A smile graced her face again at Gabriel’s question. Vi nodded slightly and walked to the coach to have a seat there. Looking at him she decided to reply as it wasn’t nice in her opinion to leave people with non verbal answer. "Very well actually. What about you? You got up so early." she gave him a small, a little worried smile. She hoped nothing big was bothering him. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ TAG(S); Gabe <3 WORDS; a few -.-' LYRICS; Different by Egypt Central OUTFIT; click NOTES; I so have no muse. Smiling over at her, he was happy to see her face this bright in the morning. He knew that she wanted to give back for what his family did for her, but they required nothing other than her help herself through things, spend time with them, and smile. There was nothing quite as beautiful as her with a smile... at least Gabriel could not think of anything. Perhaps there was, but he didn't think so.
Shaking his head lightly he smiled up at her again and scooted over on the bench patting the space next to him. "Oh... I couldn't sleep. Not the first night. My head is just spinning around my music right now, and I actually had a favor to ask of you..." He looked over at her and smiled, nodding lightly. He spread the music out in front of them and placed his hands down on the keys, playing the first few notes. "I'm writing a new song for an audition I'm having here fairly soon, and I wanted to know if you had any suggestions as to how to improve it." ____ note: that's all right. mine's not all that amazing either haha!

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ There was no day Violet didn’t smile when she was around Gabriel. He survived her. He gave her so much. He was the foundation of new happy Violet Baudelaire. And what she felt for him wasn’t just appreciation, it wasn’t just how friends feel about each other. She started to have feelings she forgot she could have. Yes, she loved him. No, she was in love with him. She just couldn’t properly place it in her head yet. But it wasn’t weird considering how she was treated before. It’s not a surprise she fell in love with the very first boy that showed her so much heart and understatement. He was always there when needed. It seemed she’s been waiting for someone like him. Someone that could see her inward self and not only what was on the outside. Someone that cared and wanted to share happy moments with her. Someone she could trust and feel comfortable around. Gabriel was that very person.
Vi saw him scoot over on the bench. A welcoming smile on his face and the fact that he patted a place beside him made her smile even brighter. Listening to his words she stood up from the couch and moved from there over to the piano. "Oh, what is it?" she asked taking a seat next to him in front of the music notes he just spread there. He played first few notes of a song he then mentioned about. New song? Ah Vi was excited about any song he played, whether it was his or written by someone else. She liked seeing him so passionate about it. She really thought he had talent. She was amazed of his creativity. It was something similar to her writing skills, though she never thought of herself as a good poet or writer. "My suggestions?" Vi chewed on her lip. What suggestion could she have? He was doing so fine with that himself. She didn’t think her opinion was so important. Anyway she knew she wouldn’t be objective. She loved his music no matter what. "You know I like everything you write. But play and I will at least try to help you my best." she flashed him another bright smile tugging a stray strand of her hair behind ear. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ TAG(S); Gabe <3 WORDS; 385? ): LYRICS; Different by Egypt Central OUTFIT; click NOTES; thanks for your help <3 CREDITS; Me: lisathecat of CAUTION 2.0!

The song was melodic and started soft, expressing sorrow and remorse. But later it grew to a burst of warmth and what he felt sounded like his joy and fell back to the soft melody, but this time expressed as though love now replaced the remorse. All together the song was about seven minutes and every moment of it was spent with his eyes closed and he played with as much passion as he always did when he was trying his hardest. No, he was not trying to impress her, he just wanted her to hear it like he was going to play it at the audition.
Finishing the song, he kept his foot on the peddle to echo the last note. He looked at her after it finished and smiled lightly. "So... What do you think?"
Of course, in time, he would either tell her that it was a song about her, or she would figure it out. No lyrics, still said a lot to them. For heaven sakes they did not even know each other's names until months of knowing each other....though circumstances were dire. He waited to hear what she would say and placed his hands in his lap after adjusting his sweater over his collared shirt.
OOC: ehh... not amazing...

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Violet closed her eyes and took a deep yet silent breath. She wanted to feel more the melody Gabriel played. But she was opening her eyes from time to time to take a glimpse of Gabe’s expression and to see how passionate he was about it. She had to smile at the change of the melody. It sounded happier now. It reminded her of the changes that she went through, though she didn’t match the meaning of the song with herself that while. She just enjoyed the music he played as he smile grew. It all sounded amazing. She was sure the audition would be a success. She had no doubt about it. And she was so happy about it that she couldn’t help what she did after Gabriel asked her for her opinion again, after he was done.
Vi didn’t think twice, it was just an impulse. She embraced Gabe’s neck. "Just wonderful." she said and kissed his cheek. Or it was what she wanted to do. She accidentally kissed the corner of his mouth. Violet stared at him for a short while feeling a blush coming onto her cheeks. She pulled away slightly, not knowing to be embarrassed of what she did or not. "I’m…" she couldn’t find the right words. Maybe she should say she was sorry but she wasn’t sure if she was really sorry about it. Maybe it was the right time to open up with that too. Maybe enough time had passed for her to not be afraid of affection. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ TAG(S); Gabe <3 WORDS; a few ): LYRICS; Different by Egypt Central OUTFIT; click NOTES; Vi muse sucks hardcore -.-' CREDITS; Me: lisathecat of CAUTION 2.0!

Glancing over every few moments, Gabriel observed that she seemed to enjoy the music and as he saw her eyes open, he looked back at the keys. Sure, he was a little shy about how to place himself around her... his dream had made it a little more awkward for him, but he was all ready feeling out of place compared to her beauty. He smiled lightly and as the song finished, she smiled at him and threw her arms around his neck, exclaiming his work to be wonderful, and then... just like in the dream... her face came close to his and her lips brushed his cheek and corner of his lips.
He paused as a rush a warms coursed through his core and his stomach flipped. He could feel color coming to one of their faces if not both of them. She stared at him for a long moment before beginning to speak and she slipped away slightly, but was still next to him. It sounded like she was going to be she was sorry and there was no need for that. He shook his head lightly and slipped a hand up to cup the right side of her face. "There's no need to apologize... I..." he paused and looked her in the eyes. "I've waited for you to do your healing. I can't imagine what you've been through and I k now that only time will heal that. What happens next is entirely up to you, Vi..."
And it was. Weather she wanted to start a relationship now or if she just wanted to take it slow, was her choice. Not his. But either way, he eagerly waited.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ That short while after kissing Gabriel by accident, Violet understood how she really felt about him. All that time she was afraid to allow that feeling to her consciousness. She was afraid to be hurt. But there was no such day, not even a split second during Gabe hurt her in any way. He was always very good to her, treated her with respect of any kind, dealt with her breakdowns, always tried to help. That all meant a lot to Vi. He was always there, his family showed her so much heart and sympathy. She had wonderful conditions to heal her pains. Yes, Violet truly loved Gabriel. She had to admit it finally.
Violet believed he would never hurt her. She had a feeling he’s been waiting to speak his feeling for her out, waiting for her to be ready. And she wasn’t mistaken. Gabriel confirmed her thoughts with his words. Time, a lot of it had already passed and with Gabriel’s help her pain, fear and most of her timidity were mend. Vi smiled lovingly at him. He understood her so well. She put her hand on his on her cheek. "I just realized how much you mean to me." she said and hugged him. She was so happy to be with him there, to be able to be so close and not afraid it. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ TAG(S); Gabe <3 WORDS; a few ): LYRICS; Different by Egypt Central OUTFIT; click NOTES; Vi muse still sucks hardcore -.-' CREDITS; Me: lisathecat of CAUTION 2.0!

It seemed that her feelings for him were rather similar to his. If not the same. He smiled brightly as she hugged him close and told him how she just realized how much he meant to her. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight. It was one of those moments he never wanted to end... she was finally close to him... finally admitting what they had been holding back for so long now. Sure, the wait had been terrible for him. To keep from sweeping her up in his arms and carrying her away to be his own.
But at long last, his dreams were true. Sure, the kiss had might have been a mistake, but a wonderful mistake it was. Her lips were just as soft as he had imagined... no roses peddles could compete. He took a deep breath and took in her scent... what a wonderful smell. He was honestly crazy for this girl and he was now where he had wanted to be months ago.
"And you mean the world to me, Vi..." he whispered lightly in response. He wanted nothing else but to be with her, support her, love her, help her heal. At this moment, he wanted only them, and the rest of the world slipped away...
