Motherhood certainly hadn’t been what Selena expected. No matter how much people try to teach you, or how much they tell you, you never truly learn until you’ve experienced it, and that was Selena’s certain on look of motherhood. No one was ever going to explain how difficult it was to get up at 2am in the morning to feed her son, or watch him for the majority of the day while her fiancée went off gallivanting doing Merlin knows what. Sure, she had help from the house-elves, but there was only so much they could do.
It wasn’t only motherhood that had been stressful and frustrating, but also her relationship with Dylan was strained. She had known from the very beginning that they would never be the perfect couple, that there would be continuous bumps on the road, but sometimes he had pushed her over the edge, too far. Selena was positive she wasn’t depressed, she had actually adapted to the whole motherhood/relationship thing rather well, but there were times when she’d rather stay in bed all day. Problem was, she just couldn’t listen to the yearning cries that escaped her son’s mouth, and it wasn’t like Dylan was immediately going to run to Charlie’s cot. He usually wasn’t even there to hear his son cry.
Running a hand over her torso, she released a small sigh. Although she had managed to shed all her post-pregnancy weight, she still didn’t feel like herself. Maybe she was depressed…No that definitely wasn’t it. Maybe it was her lack of male attention. Before she began dating Dylan and fell pregnant, men swooned just by looking at her, she was sure it was different now, but she wouldn’t know since she hadn’t been out in quite some time.
Slipping on her dress, making sure it was rather short and flattered her tanned legs, Selena began to apply her make-up. The more she thought about it, the more the idea appealed to her. She had set at home many of nights with Charlie while Dylan went out and drank as much as he wanted and flirted with who he wanted, now it was her turn. She needed that male attention, the attention that Dylan rarely gave her. Letting her long curls fall over her shoulders, and pushing her bangs slightly to the side, she gazed at the reflection in the mirror. An hour ago, a completely different person stood in front of the mirror, now she recognized the woman, it was her old self.
‘Look I need you to come home. I’ve mad a few plans and I’ll be needing you to watch over Charlie. See you soon. Love Selena.’
It was a simple, yet demanding note that she sent to Dylan. She didn’t bother asking a question, she made the demand and really did expect it to be followed through, if Dylan wasn’t going to be particularly happy with it then she’d deal with him when the time came. Grabbing the bottle of vodka she poured herself a glass and grinned to herself, the small booster would only help her confidence, she assured herself as she began chugging not just one glass, but more than five, repeatedly. By the time Dylan arrives, the chances are, she’d probably be knocked out on the living room floor.

Yes, Dylan Spencer was in love with Selena Black. Yes, he had proposed to her. Yes, they had a cute son together. But he wasn’t a father type. Yes, he had changed… a lot. Being a father changes. But as hell hot he couldn’t stand Charlie cry. He was so glad that he wasn’t there for Dylan jr. for all these years. He didn’t have to watch for him, care for him and listen to his sobs. And what the most important he didn’t have to listen to Andrea’s complains about what a horrible father he was and that he doesn’t give her and him any attention. But he had to do all those things being with Selena. Ah! Why the hell did he ever have to knock her up? They were better together without that snot! He just ruined his outlook. He made him going out more often just to run away from all that mess.
Sitting in his office and doing some paper work he was delayed with Dylan Spencer thought that his apprentice that dark lady herself had chosen for him to take care of was doing fine. Yes, Demetri Greyback had potential. He still wasn’t marked but Dylan knew that Dem was a good material for a death eater. His twin brother already was one. Spencer checked what was going on with his pupil. He must know if he fulfilled his first task. He had to kill someone and with that hurt someone whom that person meant a lot. Dylan had to admit that Demetri chose wise. He killed a muggle but the muggle who was a father of a Hogwarts student, Violet Baudelaire. A poor girl was forced to work in the brothel Greyback ran. And she always tried to run away. She still had someone to go back to till Dem decided to kill her dad. No she had no one to live with because as Dylan checked later her mother was somewhere abroad doing something for the Ministry. He had to admit he was proud of that Greyback boy. He was like Dylan when he was his age or so it seemed. Just with one difference. Dylan didn’t rape women. Well, he didn’t have to; they’d been coming to him willingly themselves.
Signing some papers he heard knocking on the window. He turned his head towards the sound and saw an owl sitting on the window sill. He raised a brow. He already got the daily prophet today. And if Selena needed something she could simply send one of Dylan’s house elves to his work place. But he stood up from the chair he sat on and opened the window to let the owl in. He untied the piece of parchment attached to its leg as it let out a hoo sound and flew into his office and sat on the inside window sill. Dylan recognized the writing immediately. It was Selena of course. Dylan rolled his eyes at the request. Yes, he loved Charlie but he hated taking care of him. But he agreed to be a father. He took both mother and a child under his wing. Growling he crumpled the letter and simply disapparated just to apparate back in front of his house. Walking in he pushed the house elf out of his way and got upstairs to where he expected to find Selena.
Dylan walked into the room not bothering to knock. It was his house god dammit! He saw Selena drinking. What the hell?! And she was dressed up as if she wanted to go out partying. Oh no! She wasn’t going to go anywhere. She looked so sexy. He hasn’t seen that woman she was in few months now. He nearly dropped his jaw checking her out. He walked over to her and smelled the alcohol. How much did she drink? He didn’t bother to ask. He just simply took her in his arms and crashed her body with his. "Where do you think you’re going? Without me?" his voice was gentle yet very strict and clearly unhappy of her plans.

She didn’t know what to expect, would he accept his duty or refuse to mind Charlie? With all the alcohol that was immediately going to her head, she really didn’t give a damn what he’d decide to do. If he refused then she’d drunkenly pack her bags, take Charlie and go to her mother’s manor. Did she want to leave? There where days when Selena got herself together and began packing, but she could never bring herself to zip the suitcase closed. She just wasn’t ready to close this chapter in her life. Selena loved Dylan, she would never question that, and she would never have brought Charlie into this world otherwise, but everyone was entitled to question themselves and ask if they where happy.
With every sip of vodka she took, her confidence continued to climb. Everyone who knew Selena, knew that she rarely ever drank and when she did, she would always drink something light like fire whiskey, but certainly not vodka, that was all completely new to her. But whenever she did drink, it was usually when she was feeling down and needed the boost, like now.
When the room door was opened, Selena didn’t even turn to see who it was, instead she just continued to sipping. Selena had hoped that he’d return home once he received the letter, whether it was out of anger or that he’d come to mind Charlie. If he hadn’t came home, then she’d just have to bring Charlie to him and with that she’d be gone.
Dylan’s arms slipped around her waist and their bodies crashed in the familiar fashion they used to. Titling her head, she focused on him and smirked confidently, “I’m going out for a drink, you know, the way you do whenever things get too much for you to handle.” Her voice was cold while she managed to snake out of his arms, still letting her confidence shine. Although she seemed confident, Selena’s fragile heart was thudding against chest as she grabbed her handbag. “You’ll be fine. I’ll be home later tonight, or maybe tomorrow, I suppose it depends.” She released a chuckle, still keeping her cerulean blue eyes on her fiancée, her thoughts pondering on how he would react.

Dylan didn’t know what to think about all this. She tried to seduce him to get him and his lust for her back or maybe she wanted to make him jealous, maybe even angry. He hated to be angry with her. He loved her. She was the very first woman he expressed himself to. But sometimes he couldn’t stand all the mess the child brought in. He wished Charlie was never born, miscarried, dead with labor whatever! be just gone, not exist and not bother his head. Dylan truly believed it was Charlie’s fault that he got away from Selena. But he never spoken his thoughts out.
Spencer frowned slightly hearing his fiancée’s words. Going out for a drink, huh? She had already drunk too much in his opinion. Oh no, he wasn’t going to let her go drink somewhere else. He wouldn’t stand males picking her up. Grr… he would be furious! Selena was his and only his! She sneaked out of his arms and Dylan didn’t complain. But he had to hold his growing anger on leash. He walked over to her again and grabbed her handbag. He made it disappear without a word. He was good in wandless and wordless magic. "No, you’re not going anywhere, sweetheart. You’ve drunk too much. I can’t let you go and expose herself to some hungry males that look for nothing else but a fuck." ah he tried to be as calm as possible. But Selena’s behavior just got on his nerves. She had never acted like that or that was what he thought. "You are going to stay home and sober up, my love."

Selena was pushing his buttons and the more she thought about it, the more she realized she was doing it on purpose. Now, she wasn’t usually like this, she had an knack for controlling herself, controlling how pissed she was, and even controlling herself when she was utterly drunk. Right now though, she wanted to slap Dylan silly, but she wouldn’t not unless he provoked her. Maybe she wanted to hit him, maybe she wanted to take her anger out on him. Anger from what? There was so much anger welled up inside, she’d been cooped indoors for so long, she missed her job, her friends, the life she had before Charlie.
Charlie had changed a lot of things, her perspective of life, he gave her a reason to live, as did Dylan. From the moment she led her eyes on him she fell in love, all those months of pain and complications where all worth it for him, a baby that was all hers, a piece of her and Dylan. Selena had never asked Dylan of what he thought of fatherhood, maybe she should’ve, but then things would turn nasty and that was the last thing she wanted.
Watching as Dylan approached her, taking the bag off her and making it disappear, earned him a spiteful glare. “What the hell is your problem? You can’t tell me what to do. I refuse to be stuck in this house.” Selena snapped, leaning against the wall. “The only hungry male that wanted nothing else than a fuck was you!” She spat, pushing him slightly. She had been warned that vodka didn’t make people particularly nice to be around, especially when insulted. “You want me to stay at home and sober up? Fine, I will. Just not in this home.” Rolling her eyes, Selena walked out of the room, slightly stumbling into Charlie’s nursery and moving towards his cot where he slept peacefully.

Dylan knew he didn’t give Selena the attention she deserved. He knew he should be there for her when she needed him the most. He should support her. But in his little world he gave the more than expected. He gave her his home, his money, he gave her their son and finally he gave her his love. He saw no reason for her to be angry. She should be grateful he didn’t leave her after she announced him she was pregnant. He proposed instead. He wanted to make a family with her. He just wasn’t a father type. Well, he had a hard childhood. He was a chosen one. A chosen one to be evil. His parents expected much of him, they made him do things he wouldn’t, being just a teenager. It was their fault he killed his own brother and his wife and the started to like killing.
Dylan’s anger was growing every little second. He was too stubborn to admit that his fiancée has a lot of rights. "My problem?" he asked looking down at her. He listened to her words. It pierced him like an arrow but he stood straight there with a glare. She pushed him. For the first time she pushed him. "You are drunk! You don’t mean that." he stated. He couldn’t believe that love of his life would be thinking that. Dylan narrowed his eyes at what she said next. So where did she want to sober up then? In her parents house or on the street? ”Selena!” he growled after her leave. He followed her out and into their son’s nursery. He stood in the door watching her move towards the cot. When he saw them both in one room his anger disappeared. A gentle look got back to his handsome face and small smile found its way to his lips.
Spencer walked over to his fiancée from behind and wrapped his arms gently around her waist. He hugged her and put his chin on her shoulder. Looking into the cot and at his sleeping son he smiled. "I’m sorry love. You both need more of my attention." he rubbed her sides.

Selena appreciated every little thing Dylan gave to her, whether it was his manor, all the money he gave her, especially their son, but it was the smaller things she appreciated the most. For him to stay home with her, to watch Charlie just while she got a shower, to lay in bed with her all day and not go to work, or the pub, meant the world to Selena, but those things rarely happened. What had went wrong? Lately she spent more times crying than she did smiling, the only thing that could make her smile was Charlie. There had been a time when Dylan was able to make her smile, why couldn’t he anymore? Looking up at him, Selena held the wall for support, “Do you regret this? All of it, meeting me, our son, proposing.” For once, all Selena asked for was the truth.
So much anger welled up in her, so much emotions. Looking around the nursery, the room that she had helped paint during her seventh month of pregnancy, a time when she was happy, when she didn’t mind that Dylan spent his time at work, at the pub…with other women. The very thought broke her heart. Picking up the tiny pieces of Charlie’s clothing, Selena threw them into the small carrier bag. Maybe some time apart wouldn’t hurt. Who was she kidding? Some time apart would kill her. Dropping the carrier bag, she moved towards the cot again and looked down at Charlie with blurry eyes. Wiping away the tears that cascaded down her cheek, she felt Dylan’s arm slip around her waist and he rested his chin on her bare shoulder. Running a hand down her dress, she released a small sigh, “You don’t need to be sorry,” No, he didn’t need to be sorry, he just needed to give them more of his attention, and although that seemed incredibly selfish, to keep them happy, it was what was needed.
Leaning down slightly, she traced her finger over her son’s cheek lovingly, while the tears continued slide down her rosy cheeks. Charlie was gorgeous, he had inherited Selena’s tanned skin, Dylan’s piercing eyes and soft brown hair, it was so hard to not love him. “I can live without your attention Dylan, but Charlie’s your son, he barely recognizes his own father because you’re never there, you don’t hold him when he cries, you rarely hold him when he isn’t crying, I’m just asking that you give him all the attention he deserves.” Selena continued to look at her son while she asked so little of Dylan.

“Do you regret this? All of it, meeting me, our son, proposing.” this words clanged in his ears. It hurt him in a way that she thought like that. No, he didn’t regret anything that happened. He just didn’t know how to be a father. He may want to learn it. Maybe he needed some advice. "No, dear, I don’t. You know I don’t." Dylan hoped she knew deep in heart that it was true. He gave her his heart. For the first time in his life he was able to love. But as much it wasn’t hard for him to kill 'infidels' as much it was hard for him to be a good master, fiancé and father.
Dylan knew that he was needed. He knew he did wrong walking out of his house to drink in pub and meet his friends. Friends? Most of them were other women. He met a lot of them in his life and they couldn’t stay away from him. Just like a widow Cassandra Greyback that he followed like a lost puppy when he was just eleven and she was thirteen. When they were older they were a couple but then Fenrir chose her for his wife and mother of his heirs. And Dylan let her go. Sometimes he regretted it but now he was happy with Selena and if it was possible madly in love with her. “You don’t need to be sorry,” she told him. He didn’t? Maybe he didn’t but he felt sorry. He really did. It was so obvious that he should be spending more time with his love and son. But his work and everything just distracted him. It seemed to be more important for him. And yet! He had a son with other woman. Yes, little Dylan jr. who was ill recently and Spencer agreed to take care of him.
He sighed hearing what Selena said next. Yes, he knew that Charlie needed a father. He knew that he wasn’t the best one. He turned Selena to face him. "Teach me how to be a father then. I love our son but I don’t know what to do. I had a hard childhood and I didn’t get any love from my own father. What meant for him was to train me to be a dark wizard. He did nothing to show me that he cares. I don’t want to be like him. Tell me how to be a good father for Charlie." Dylan leaned in and kissed Selena on the cheek. He had to lean a fatherhood.

Selena wanted to believe, with all her heart she did. She had let Dylan into her life at a time when her guard was up and she had built a wall around her fragile heart, but he, and only he could knock that wall down. With him she was a much more loving person, much gentler. Before, the only emotion that she revealed was anger and hate, but Dylan had given her so much, and although she didn’t show it, she needed him so much, more than she could’ve ever expected to need someone. “I know,” Selena finally spoke in a much softer tone, “I just needed to hear you say it. I need to hear you say a lot of things.”
Before meeting Dylan, before all this happened, she had a plan. A plan she thought that she wanted. But fate had a completely different plan for her altogether. Selena had no intentions of marrying, or having any children. She hadn’t planned to fall in love, especially not with Dylan. She was still young, only twenty-five and she had wanted to do a lot of things before settling down, she had wanted to travel, learn new things, and as of lately, she had only learned one thing, motherhood certainly wasn’t what she expected. But Selena regretted nothing. Although she hadn’t followed her plan, she made a completely different new one, she had different priorities now, things to life for. Yet, she was unaware of Dylan’s priorities, what his plans where before meeting her and after, had she changed them or was he determined to fulfil his ambitions. The thought dawned realization, had she given Dylan the attention he deserved? Since Charlie was born, she hadn’t kissed him with the same amount of passion, probably the reason why their relationship had been lacking sex, she hadn’t told him she loved him and really meant it, even though she loved him with all her heart.
Dylan turned Selena to face him and she looked, finally seeing the emotion he felt, “You can do this. We can do this. I know this wasn’t what you expected, it wasn’t what I expected, but you and Charlie are the best thing that has ever happened to me.” She whispered, closing her eyes for a moment. Selena was aware that Dylan had a rough childhood, that he hadn’t received love as a child therefore found it hard to express the feeling as an adult. “I’ll be here to help, I’ll be here as long as you want me to.” She’d be there as long as he loved her, and wanted her.
After placing a small kiss on his lips, Selena moved out of the nursery, once again stumbling slightly. She needed another drink, it had been her only companion and dare say, it had become very addictive. Walking into the master bedroom, she took the bottle in her hand and poured herself another glass while leaning on her vanity table, “Do you want a glass?” Selena asked while chugging her own glass of vodka.

Dylan had problems with expressing other emotions than anger and hatred. He had problems with saying how he felt. And because of that he probably didn’t show how much he loved Selena and their son. He possibly didn’t tell her that he loved her enough times. He didn’t show her how much she means. And he didn’t have sex with her like before. Yes, sex was very important part of their lives and they needed it in their relationship. But they seemed to lose passion. Maybe they were too tired, maybe they forgot they still could be the same. Whatever it was Dylan hoped it was gone.
He had to smile to her when she assured him of being able to do that all. He really needed her help. He wanted to be a father of her child. Charlie was his heir. He wanted to be there when that little boy will be growing up. He wanted to be there so he could get an advice. He wanted to show his son that he was loved and that Dylan doesn’t expect that much of him as his father did with him. He knew he could do this with Selena’s help. They could make a great family even though the householder was the head assassin of Bellatrix Lestrange. "Yes, yes, I need you." it was that very rare time Dylan admitted that he needed someone, that he needed some help. He always was very self-reliant. He didn’t need anyone or so it seemed.
His fiancée placed a small kiss on his lips. So, she didn’t hate him. She still loved him. They still had a chance to fix things out and live happy ever after. Of course he knew they may have so more problems in future but he didn’t want to think about it. He concentrated on the present. Selena moved out of the nursery. Dylan followed her like a little puppy looking for home. It must have been looking funny from behind but he didn’t want to fight with her anymore that day. He wanted her to be happy and sure of the want to stay with him. They wanted to get married at last. Spencer walked into their bedroom after her and saw her taking the bottle in her hand and pouring another glass. He hated to see her drunk but he kept it for himself. If she really needed it right now he could let her drink. But if she wanted to go out she would have to sober up first. He really was jealous of other men. He would kill them all for placing their hungry eyes on her if he only could. Wait! He could but it had no sense. "Yes, yes, please." he replied to her question. He needed to drink and if she didn’t mind him drinking with her he could use at least one glass. Dylan walked over to the table and took a glass of it. He poured himself a shot of alcohol and set the bottle back on the table. He took a seat on the bed and waved to Selena to join him.

Believe it or not, there had been a time when their love-life had been passionate, intimate, lustful, where had that gone? Where had those exciting people gone? Nowadays they’ve been replaced with boring, love-less people, the kind of people Selena was beginning to despise. All she asked for was to have the man she fell in love with back, and for her to be the old Selena, confident, independent and passionate. The previous few months Selena had forgotten who she was, she had been to caught up in life and somewhere she lost herself along the road. It was only now, when she was intoxicated that she felt like her old self.
The fact that they both hadn’t been the same had caused Selena’s mind to jump to conclusions, the main one, was he cheating? Before the two became serious, Dylan maintained quite the title, and everyone knew it wasn’t so easy to drop old tactics immediately. Even the thought of it, broke her heart. What would she do if she discovered that was the reason? Selena would pack her bags, take Charlie and leave, there was no doubt about that, but would she ever come back? Yes, she loved him too much to just walk out and not try to mend it, she’d teach him his lesson, and despite what her mother always taught her, once a cheater, always a cheater, she’d give Dylan another chance, for Charlie and for herself.
Continuing to pour vodka for herself, Selena could barely stand straight, the effect was obviously immediate. Watching Dylan as he accepted a glass, she chewed on her lower. Selena didn’t mind that he had a drink or two in her presence, but when he was out, surrounded by everyone, other women, it raised insecurities. Who could blame her? She was a typical girlfriend. As he took a seat on the bed and signalled Selena to join him, she finished the end of the bottle before walking over and climbing onto of Dylan, straddling him with a small smile. “I still love you, but you’re not the only one in the picture now, I have to make time for you, Charlie and myself, it’s actually pretty hard. When I want to go out it’s me making time for myself, you have to understand that. It’s not like I’m going out to be unfaithful. I give you your time a lot, and whether I have the doubt that you’ll be faithful or not, I still continue to watch you leave for the pub. “ Releasing a small sigh, she trailed her hand down his chest and tilted her head ever so slightly, she needed to get her point across and hoped he‘d understand it. “Have you stayed faithful?” Selena finally asked, curiosity getting the best of her.

Dylan hoped he did right. He hoped he did how she expected, how she wanted. He loved her and didn’t want to lose her. Well, he didn’t know what he would do if he did. He would probably change completely and never again allow any woman to his heart. He would concentrate on his work, spend more time in his store. Or most likely he would be killing every muggle in sight.
Spencer smirked as Selena finished the bottle and walked over to him. Even more when she climbed onto him and straddled him. What she told him really got to him. She still loved him. It was important for him. She had a lot of rights but sometimes it was hard for Dylan to understand this. Maybe he was old date sometimes, yes, maybe he was retarded. He saw women following him, doing what he commanded them to. He saw them as housewives and his sex toys. Yes, sometimes he disrespected them. But it was he was. He needed to be changed, and he knew Selena was able to help him with that. "I love you too, darling." he put his hand on the small of her back. "And I’m trying to understand that, trust me." he rubbed her back. She ran her hand down his chest. He liked that and to where it was going. But then she asked something what made him frown because he hoped to never hear that question from her. He cheated once, yes. But it was under alcohol and he barely remembered it. People say that alcohol is a good excuse. Teenagers and other young males possibly have some freaking code. For Example there are these rules that guys have, an understanding as to what constitutes cheating. It's not cheating when you're in a different area code - not to mention state! Say you were sleeping with two girls at the same time, it's not cheating because they cancel each other out. Or if you're too wasted to remember... It is not cheating. Because if you can't really remember it, it never really took place. And Dylan believed that when he was younger. He still believed that sometime. So he wasn’t up to tell her about being unfaithful. "Why do you think I haven’t?" he asked her instead of replying her question. "I love you too much to cheat on you, sweetheart." one little lie couldn’t harm, right?

Selena looked at him, guilt-ridden but the conversation she held with Blaze Dolohov still continued to haunt her. Pushing a strand of hair from her eyes, they stuck to the man she loved, but he was causing her so much hurt. Selena wanted nothing more than to believe Dylan but Blaze…he had convinced her, when he said it, he said it in spite because she had rejected him once again, therefore it could only be the truth. Chewing on her lower lips, her fist clenched against his chest, what could she say without telling him who told her and how Blaze kissed her, after all that would make her a culprit too, right? “I don’t want to think it, but I came across Blaze Dolohov the other day and we where talking…well arguing over,” Pausing she wondered how she could continue without revealing that they where arguing over Selena, and the path she chose, instead of choosing Blaze, “a few things and you came up in conversation. I was so sure, I told him that I didn’t want to talk about it, but he continued to tell me of how much you screw around and sleep with a new woman every night. Can you blame for asking? I’m easily convinced.” Selena finally told him, her stomach churning at how bad this situation could possibly get, “And I…he kissed me.” If she wanted him to be truthful, then she could only expect to be truthful herself, hoping it would help. Maybe it would help, maybe it wouldn’t.
Moving off Dylan, she simply moved to sit beside him, rather than on top of him. Selena didn’t want to think of Dylan’s reaction, if he even had one, maybe he’d just give in and admit to whatever he did. She had no idea, but Blaze had gained her trust, he was just so determined to have Dylan out of her life that he’d diss all of the shit on him just to achieve that. She didn’t want Dylan out of her life, she just wanted him to be truthful.

Dylan wasn’t sure of his own words. He wasn’t sure id Selena would take it. He just hoped she would because it would be a lot of easier. The subject would be over ad they wouldn’t dwell on it anymore. It would be forgotten and they would be happy again. Spencer watched Selena pushing a strand of her from her eyes. She chewed on her lip once again. He wondered what was on her mind. She started speaking again and when she mentioned Blaze Dolohov Dylan frowned and narrowed his eyes. He didn’t like him. He listened to her carefully not wanting to miss any detail. What she wanted to cause with that? Did she want him to be angry again or what?
She moved off him and sat beside him. He was glad she did it because he felt like pushing her off of his lap. And it wouldn’t be good. Dylan stood up feeling that anger came back to him. He didn’t look at her. "If you want to believe some kid who owns the brothel better than me…" he paused and looked at her finally. "Then maybe you should go back to him, be happy with him and kiss him again? Go ahead!" That Dolohov kid always was jealous that he had Selena for himself and he didn’t. And wasn’t he married with a Greyback girl?

All Selena wanted was to be honest, she didn’t want anything coming back and biting her in the ass in the future, when she was happy and her life was at peace, the last thing she needed was for trouble to raise once again. Maybe she shouldn’t have opened her mouth, it would’ve been easier that way, perhaps that was how Dylan took things into perspective, what you didn’t know couldn’t hurt you. That’s how it went, right? What Selena didn’t know couldn’t hurt her, if she didn’t know about the countless other women he seduced, if she just thought that he was the perfect boyfriend, always doing right. Happiness was the key in life, and if it meant being oblivious to the obvious, she was willing to do just that.
“I just wanted to be honest with you, I didn’t say it to trigger off any anger or hate.” Selena stated, keeping her tone casual and light. She didn’t want to provoke anymore shouting, she didn’t want to argue. However, she didn’t hesitate to glare at him with his words, “If said I love you, why would I want to be with him?” Selena rolled her eyes and took her stand, moving towards the bathroom and closing the door behind her. “If you don’t want me, all you need to do is say, and believe me, I‘ll be gone without hesitation.” She called out to him bitterly while slipping off her dress and replacing it with a black, silky nightgown.
Opening the bathroom door, she moved back towards her bed, not bothering to look at Dylan, “You asked me why did I think that and I told you, and then you go and be an asshole about it.” Selena mumbled, sitting back onto the bed.
