Ethan Dursley stared out the window. He did that a lot when he needed to think. He was sitting in a window seat in the Gryffindor Common Room. Looking out the window he noticed it was raining. Rain. Sometimes that was a good thing. Sometimes it was a bad thing. Looking out the window he smiled. Today it was a good thing. Ethan use to play in the rain all the time.
During the summer time when he was a kid he remembered going outside in the rain with his older brother and younger sister. That was before Ethan found out he was a wizard. Before his brother called him a freak and turned his back on him. Pain filled his chest as he held back tears. Just thinking about that upseted him. He hated to think his brother still thought this. Then a year later after Ethan left for Hogwarts his younger sister joined him. Ethan figured his brother was just jealous or something.
Here they were now. Older. Wiser. Ethan was seventeen almost eighteen about to graduate, while his brother was an adult and working, and his brother still called him a freak. Running a hand through his hair Ethan sighed. He had to get out of there fast. Maybe he would go out in the rain. Yes it was freezing outside, but he was hoping to get sick. He walked out the common room fast. He took the steps on the stairs two at a time almost.
His feet hit the stone floor of the Entrance Hall he sped up again. That was when it happened. When faith, I guess you could say, intervened. Ethan ran smack into the girl. It knocked him on the ground. Getting up quickly Ethan looked at the girl. I am so sorry miss he said to her.

“I’m done with this,” Laci said plainly and turned to walk out of the Great Hall. She didn’t understand what she had done to Gemma. Gem used to be somewhat nice to her and then after she got pregnant, their relationship just kept running on that endless downward spiral. Laci really needed to just get away from her family, all of them. They were starting to drive her crazy.
As Laci walked down the corridors her shoes barely made a sound on the marble floor. She was heading back up to the Hufflepuff common room. It was the only place that she was guaranteed not to see her older sister. Laci pondered for a moment. Maybe she wanted to go see what Kristen was up to. It would be risky business to wait around the Ravenclaw common room. The girl was bound to sight Gemma.
Laci walked along the side of the stairs, letting her delicate fingertips trace the patterns on the cold stonewall. The sound of running footsteps gently echoed down the stairs, but that was normal at Hogwarts. It wasn’t a true day unless someone was running somewhere. Laci kept walking, not noticing the sound. She made the turn to walk up the staircase and was tackled to the ground by someone.
Laci sat up to see none other than Ethan Dursley standing above her. “Well hello there Ethan, I didn’t think we would run into each other this soon.” She smiled at him gathering her book that was sprawled out next to her.

Ethan had been minding his own business but not looking where she was going. Plus he was running. He was bound to run into someone. Literally. Smiling as he saw the beautiful Laci Ackerly he said Sorry Lac he said helping her up after she picked her book up. I didn’t mean to run into you. I should have been looking where I was going. And maybe not running either would help he said with a light chuckle.
He stared at the young HufflePuff. She was beautiful. He had a slight crush on her since his sixth year. Though he never knew her name and only found it out a year later. He was always a little shy to ask her or anyone. His little sister Chelsey knew but thankfully she hadn’t said anything to Laci. For some reason. So uhmm…Laci…how have you been he asked.
Ooc: sorry its so short not a lot of Ethan must atm but I tried for you spidey <3 yew

“Ah, its fine,” Laci said after Ethan apologized for running into her. She picked her book up and was helped up off of the floor. The girl ran her delicate fingers through her blonde hair in attempt to make it a bit less messy. She looked up at Ethan and smiled. Laci was a bit of a charmer when guys were involved. She could get almost any guy that she wanted, even if she didn’t try at all. It was a special ability of hers, her older sister seemed to have it too.
Ethan asked her how she’d been. “A bit bored, nothing much has been happening since the lockdown had started. And you?” she asked. The girl sensed a bit of hesitation in his voice and decided to pick up the conversation. Laci didn’t understand why guys were nervous around her. She was a very approachable and friendly person, easy to start a conversation with. Though all of the guys stuttered around her and tried to get too close to her.
Laci appreciated the fact that Ethan was nice. His nervousness made him quite adorable. If only all guys were this nice…Laci thought to herself. Most of the guys here at Hogwarts were complete and total manwhores. But those guys were fun too, the girl couldn’t complain.
“Have you seen your sister around lately?” Laci asked politely. Chelsey was a close friend of hers. She walked up to him and held his hand, tugging on it slightly as she smiled. “Come. Walk with me. I have nothing to do,” she said charmingly.
