Outside in the Cold and Thunderish night, stood Logan. He had been outside of the school since 6pm, just standing infront of the great Whomping Willow. He was always intruiged by the vicious tree and tonight he decided to 'play' with it. At around 6:15, the fun would begin, and Logan smiled in preparation.
Logan was not alone in this task, two other male ravenclaws looked at the scene, just in case Logan got hurt or something. As soon as the clock hit its mark, he dashed towards the whomping willow, little did he know was he in for a fight. His objective was to get a small cloth that lay atop the mighty willow's branches, a simple task, no?
Logan made a dash foward, at first believing that it would be that easy, however the second Logan entered the viscinity of the Willow it began to strike down and hard. Logan was quick and he was able to noticed the tree's movement and dodge the first onslaught. However it was now that he realized the actual danger of the task, this wasn't going to be a walk in the park. Logan quickly drew his wand and began blocking off the willow's atttacks, knowing well enough that a simple immobulus would do the trick. Whether it be scaring it with a simply Incendio Spell or blocking its massive branches with a Protection spell Logan was swift to defnd himself without resulting to stopping the tree. After all, there had to be some sort of adventure to this task.
Logan was approaching the core of the tree with ease, until he was forced to jump up and climb it. Logan was now wandless, for his wand had fallen to the ground, and he was climbing the Willow in an attempt to retrieve the hanging cloth set forth by his friends. At first the willow attempted to shake Logan off, but then the willow decided to smite Logan while he was climbing. Logan felt the robust movement of the tree and sensed how the tree prepared to strike at his position. With no time to recover his wand Logan used other methods of wizardry. He sprouted wings on his back and flew upward, just in time for the willow to miss Logan and knock the cloth loose. After that it was easy pickings.
Logan recovered the Cloth and then his wand by swiftly dodgeing the branches and using simple spells such as Accio. As soon as he grabbed both of the objcts in question Logan made his way out of the range of danger. He looked at his friends with the sense of victory in his eyes. However, was he truly out of the range of danger? Logan thought so, but the Willow knew better. From behind Logan was striked away. He now looked like a baseball being batted away by the great Barry Bonds. That sucker was gone!
Logan flew all the way to the school's main doorway. He lay on the ground breathing in for a few minutes. When his friends arrived, he stood and stretched his back for a moment. Logan began to laugh, "That was fun, you guys should try it!" he said with sheer happiness, however it was then that his stomach growled. "But count me out, I'm Hungry." Logan then walked into school and headed for the great hall. He sat at the end of a table all by his lonesome, looking over for any wounds before getting ready to eat the food infront of him. Logan wasn't one to eat alone, however, so he waited promptly for certain person to make her way to the Great Hall.
