- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SO WHY DON'T YOU LAY RIGHT HERE LET ME JUST EASE YOUR MIND I'M GIVING YOU ALL MY TIME ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Looking at her teenage daughter through sympathetic eyes, Mandy used her free hand to push the fiery red hair from Kelsey’s eyes. She could utter comforting words to Kelsey, and she would, but for now Mandy allowed her silence to linger. Perhaps it was all due to her loss of words, she could search her mind continuously but she doubted nothing could prepare Kelsey for what was coming. The only comfort that played on her tongue was, ‘It’s all worth it in the end,’ Those words she’d known to be true, possibly the only truth that was spoken in times like these.
Mandy coped with the sudden pain that struck her hand the moment another contraction ached through Kelsey’s body. For a moment, she felt her hazel eyes water. She didn’t bother debating on whether it was because of the pain that shot through her hand or the very fact that she couldn’t sit and watch her daughter endure the agonizing pain, although she was pretty positive that it had been the result of the latter reason. Blinking away the tears, she quietly sighed while bringing her free hand to her shoulder, where Robert’s hand rested gently. Tenderly, she traced her fingers over his hand while keeping a delicate hold on Kelsey’s.
“You honestly expected us to stay at home?” Managing to smile, she shrugged, “Anyway, I’m pretty sure I promised myself I’d be here.” Now that had been true. Since her own mother had been absent for all of her labours, Mandy had promised herself that she’d be present for all of her grandchildren’s births. She just didn’t expect them all to be coming this soon. Until she turned the age of fifty, she would still have the right to protest that she was too young to be a grandmother.
While Kelsey turned her attention to James, Mandy’s eyes moved towards the door as a familiar figure appeared. Silently cursing herself as her eyes scanned over Vince, it was only then that Mandy realized that she’d forgotten to pass a note to her son to inform him of where Mandy and Rob would be, but by the looks of it he seemed to put the pieces together nicely. However, her mind quickly drifted back to Kelsey as her hand continued to get crushed to a pulp as another contraction tore through her body. “It’ll be worth it in the end, I promise.” She whispered to Kelsey, offering her words of comfort and reassurance.

This was going to drag on forever if it kept going like this. He knew she was probably experiencing the worst pain of her life right now, but was that a reason to think your family would abandon you at a time like this? It had been such a relief to see his mother and father in law walking through the door, something he could never have imagined. But in the end he felt sort of sorry for Kelsey's mother because she took hold of Kelsey's other hand, and if she was half as lucky as him her hand would merely bruise a lot. But he kept the bravest look he could get to play on his face, because if there was anything he could do to make this even the slightest bit better for Kelsey he would.
James smiled a little when Kelsey expressed to her parents the worry she had had about them not showing up. But in the end he knew that Mandy and Robert would not miss the birth of their grandchildren if their lives depended on it. Something about the situation made him think that as much as they really hated the way James and Kelsey had chosen to do things, they were at least used to it and maybe even considering being happy about the situation? If it was only so that Kelsey was happy, and not because they were anywhere near liking him yet, it did not matter to him. Just the fact that they were here and Kelsey wanted them to be was enough for him.
The nurse came in and told them all that Kelsey would be delivering within the hour. James wanted to groan in anger just as much as Kelsey because another hour of this would be hell. But he had to remember that in the end, it would all be worth it. To watch her in pain, and not being able to do anything about it, but when those babies were born... Maybe it would be as wonderful as so many parents describe it to be. Not like the terrifying ordeal it has thus far turned into.
Then Kelsey exploded in anger the way she spoke. She complained that it was likely to take that long, and then she did something he really did not expect. She dropped his hand right there on the bed, and smacked him upside the head. His immediate reaction would have be to grab her hand if he did not know she was in pain. Which she was because right after she did that and yelled at him saying that it should be him having to go through this, she grabbed his hand up once again and started to squeeze the hell out of it.
When he looked up he realized that yet another LeBlanc family member had walked into the room. Vince LeBlanc had come in and if James was recalling correctly then it was just about the time that he had been beaten over the head by his infuriated wife. James smirked when Vince said there was a couple things that he need to tell Kelsey and went through them. James got along with Kelsey's brothers fairly well so it was not nearly as awkward as when Robert had walked in, but even he still looked happy. This had to be the most normal thing he had been through since he married Kelsey.
But every time she squeezed his hand and he realized they were that much closer to becoming parents, he wondered what they had been thinking. He had had sex so many times before Kelsey and he had always made sure there was some sort of condom or the girl was on birth control. But when he slept with Kelsey they had never once thought to worry about this at all. These past eight months had flown past, and now it was happening. What the hell had made this sound like a good idea to them? Hopefully all his worries would fade when he saw the babies. Maybe when he held one, he would no longer be worried about fatherhood. At least for a few minutes he might feel like he could do this. But right now, it was terrifying. And getting closer with every bone crushing death grip Kelsey took on his hand.

Robert shook his head at Kelsey's words. She seriously thought they wouldn't show up? Sure, at first he hadn't been thrilled with the whole idea but, he'd gotten over it. But, really? Robert had saved Kelsey from Jack, he fought a bloody dragon and nearly lost his arm. So, of course he was going to be here for this - despite how much it bothered him to see her in pain, but he'd gone through this enough to know. There was an old part of him that was afraid. He knew that certain things could happen during labor, which could causes a baby and mother to die, or both. He actually hoped that none of that occurred to anyone else at the moment.
Rob turned his head at the sound of Vince's voice. Well, the whole family was here - except Anton. If he showed up there would just be a big elephant in the room. Since Anton had disappeared and was not back, the relationship between Robert and his eldest son had gone back to their old terms, sadly. He pushed those thoughts away as Vince joined the party at Kelsey's bedside. He decided that when it came for the pushing part, he might pull Vince outside with him. That part always made Robert's stomach turn, but back then he wouldn't have been able to escape the room, and he wouldn't have for the world. This time, however, he thought he could make a safe escape and just wait outside the room and listen.
Robert then turned his eye on James for a few moments as Kelsey yelled at him. He tried, he really tried not to let out a chuckle but, a small one escaped. He was expecting to hear her yell at James, telling him it was all his fault. It always is the man's fault but, you don't so anything you just nod and agree. Robert smiled to himself though. Within the hour, he would be a grandfather again of two little babies to be proud of. It funny how he had hated the idea mostly until just a few weeks ago when he bought all that stuff for Kelsey. It was just a scary thought, Kelsey being a mother. He expected to see her often, in his office at Hogwarts - freaking about because one of them pooped an odd color, or she couldn't get them to stop crying or something.

She wished this was a nightmare. All of this. She would wake up soon and she wouldn't be pregnant, she would still be in school and James was there with her. She wanted things to go back to how they were last year. She wasn't ready for this. What was she thinking? Oh, that's right, she wasn't thinking. All she was thinking about was damn James looks good right now and oh boy, let's have sex. Stupid sex. It ruins everything. It has a twisted way of complicating everything in life. She didn't regret having sex with James, she just, at the moment, regretted ever having sex at all because of what it did to her. She would surely change her mind once this pain pulsating through her body stopped and the two human beings inside of her were out.
Kelsey smiled as her mother said she promised herself she would be here. She gripped onto her hand and looked at her tears in her eyes. "I'm so glad you came," Kelsey whispered, still looking up at her mom. Everyone in the room seemed to be so quiet and it was like Kelsey was the only person that was talking. Just as she was about to yell at everyone for being so quiet, Vince, her dear darling brother, walked in and made her smile. She loved Vince. He was like the perfect little brother. Right now, he was like her only brother. She didn't expect Anton to show up. He was so caught up in his stupid world that he didn't care about anything else. She didn't care. She had the people who loved her the most in this room and that was all she needed.
"Vince, 1- Call me an idiot again and I'll kill you, 2- I love you too and 3- yes there is room," Kelsey said softly with a smile up to her brother. She stayed silent for a few moments, closing her eyes as Vince sat and tried to control the pain. There was not only pain in her abdomen but also in her head. There was some kind of throbbing piercing pain stabbing at her head as she laid in the hospital bed, waiting to deliver her children. She didn't know if this pain was associated with the labor process or if it was caused because of the whole horcrux thing. What if that stupid horcrux interfered with the delivery and caused way more complications to both the baby and herself. She winced in pain yet again as it began to get worst. The pain seemed to be tripling as the seconds passed by. Was this normal?
Kelsey screamed out in pain as it got even worst. She gripped onto the hands she held as she continued to scream, hating the pain that was running through her body. "Can't they give me anything for this ruddy pain!?" Kelsey snapped, looking at the people in the room with wicked eyes. She felt like if any more pain hit her body she would pass out from it. She screamed again as it got worst. The contractions were becoming closer together and her headache was getting worst and worst. Sweat began to pour down her forehead as she panted from the pain. Where were the doctors?! Did they forget about her or something? "Someone go get a doctor. Please! The pain is getting unbearable," Kelsey panted and managed to say before she screamed again from pain. Why was this pain getting worst? She didn't think child birth would be this painful.

He grinned back at his sister, and settled onto the bed, meeting the eyes of James. He nodded and smiled at the smirk on his face but the smile turned into a slight grimace not long after. The atmosphere in the room was... well, weird. It felt alien to have all of them sitting here, getting along, all here and supportive of one thing. All here for one purpose, and not one fight breaking out. It was... just weird. There was no other word for it. He froze, thinking back at what he had just said. 'All of them'? His expression darkened. Not all of them were here. Anton, his big brother, seemed to think this 'family gathering' not worthy of his attention. He barely contained himself from swearing under his breathe. He should be here. And that was all he would say on the matter. If he couldn't bother to come here... he shouldn't be part of the family at all. His old hatred for his brother was stoked up again, burning hotter.
He focused down on Kelsey's face, her eyes closed and face in general, the mask of tension and concentration. Concentration that was slipping... slipping... gone. Her scream rang through the room and bounced off the walls. He flinched involuntarily. Did she HAVE to go through this? What sort of law of life was this? That one must go through so much enjoyment... and then so much pain, just to create life?
He looked down at his sister, eyes growing unfocused. His mind flitted back and forth between musings and imaginations. Little Kelseys and James' would soon run around the place... he had seen how fast some had grown up. But then... there was also the first steps of pooping and crying that they would have to deal with first. The first sickness too... He wondered vaguely and randomly at what age they would start showing magical signs. And then the realization kicked in. Shock surged through him, and as kelsey settled back into the pillows, he spoke, the shock pure and obvious in his voice. "Im going to be an uncle." He blinked, looking at no one in particular... and seeing nothing he was staring at. Just pure shock was all he knew at that single moment. And he barely heard as kelsey let form another scream, and yelled for a doctor. He was going to be an uncle... to twins.

Christmas time was in the air, or at least the smell of spiced egg nogg, in the Potter household. The living room was decorated to it's finest. Golden garland was strung from one end of the room to another, wrapping itself around the mantle of the fireplace where the kid's stockings hung. The gigantic spruce that Ron had sent them was stuck in the usual corner of the room adorned with the usual bells and multi-colored globes of glass as well as the few rusted out trick ornaments that the kid's had received as a present a few years back. The best part of the room was the golden angel that sang a sweet tune every now and then on top of the spruce.
The holiday's had always been Harry's favorite time of the year, but this year was different. He was all alone. James' had moved in with Kelsey and were expecting children, Roula was away almost constantly, Albus didn't want a thing to do with him, Lily was off in France doing Merlin knows what now, and Ginny was always away on some sort of task for the ministry. It seemed the life Harry had always wanted was starting to fall apart. It was bad enough already he had to suffer a heart attack, and worse that Ministry had given him a six month leave, but what made it unbearable was the fact that he was alone now.
Sitting in the crimson and gold trimmed recliner that had been dubbed "his", Harry reached over to the small oak table beside him and picked up the bottle of baby aspirin that had been prescribed to him when he had his accident. Taking two out of the bottle and placing them in his mouth, he began to chew. As he sat the bottle back on the table, the light thud mixed in with another sound that he swore had come from the window. Waiting a moment to hear if the noise, whatever it was, would return, Harry grabbed his cane and leaned forward to get up in case the sound resurfaced. 'Click Click Click' The sound rang out from behind the crimson curtains that fell over the front window of the room. With a slight grunt and the steady clicks of his cane, Harry made his way over to the window.
Behind the curtains sat a little white snowy owl that brought fresh memories of his own lost owl when his green eyes gazed upon it. In it's beak it held a golden envelope which from where he could see, it looked liked it was sealed with the stamp of St.Mungo's. With a flash, Harry flung open the window and pulled the envelope from the bird's mouth. Worried that one of his kids were in trouble, or worse hurt, he hastily ripped open the envelope and pulled out the note it contained....
Hey Harry, just thought you should know your son, James, is up here with some girl in the ER. It looks like she's in labor, but I couldn't get a good look. Just a heads up.....Paul
Labor? James? "Oh Merlin!" Harry cried as the letter fell to the floor along with his cane. His hands went straight for the shaggy hair that had managed to grow out of hand and back to it's original state of its youth. "Ahhhh!" He cried out again as his heart started to race, the adrenaline in his veins now flowing freely through out his body. Rushing to the bedroom, Harry rustled up something to wear (a meager old t-shirt and some jeans) rather than the striped boxers and tube socks he had on. He hurried through out the house, double checking to make sure he had everything, before finally going and grabbing his cane and making a quick and hasty twist in the living room.
Green light, a jerk at the naval, and the thunderous sound of a cracking whip later, Harry stood in the white washed walls of St. Mungo's hospital, panting rather heavily, and limping along with the clicks of his cane. He made his way to the front desk where Paul laughed and greeted him warmly. "I don't think I've ever seen you in Muggle clothing Harry. It's always been a suit and tie thing with you." Harry grinned softly, but rash at this comment. "Well, sometimes you gotta make due with what you got." He gave a soft pant before asking the question that had been flooding his mind since he got there. 'Where's James?"
"Just take that hallway right there," Paul said as he pointed over the counter to a hollowed white hall, "make a left and its the third room on the right." Harry gave a sharp nod and turned hastily, making his way for the room that was sure to harbor James, and no doubt Kelsey. The clicks of his cane matched his raising heartbeat, and at one point his mind wondered if they were one in the same, but then it quickly pulled back and focused on the matter at hand. Harry had always had a knack for thinking rather randomly during stressful situations.
Finally as he made the left hand turn and passed to the third door, he could hear the sound of chatter, but most clearly Kelsey's voice. Stopping before the edge of the doorway, he stood up straight and took a deep breath before he allowed himself to continue into the room. 'So, what have I missed?" He said with the usual grin that played on his face, but this grin seemed different. Maybe it was the messy hair and that weird tint to his eyes that caused it to look off, but the grin seemed to be forced and rather harbored the the screams of pain rather than joy.

Everything that day had happened so fast up to now. Well, in all honesty it had been hours since he had gotten up and started his day, but with all the excitement it sure did not feel anything like that. The minute Kelsey had called his name to get him inside because her water broke, things felt like they were going in fast forward. Which made that ticking clock of freedom before parenthood much louder in the back of his mind. He knew it would be real soon enough, but he was still fathoming how real it was becoming. With every scream Kelsey let out, and every time she squeezed his hand, all the times he wished he could just make it over for her already, it made him realize once again that he was about to become a father. And every time he got closer to it, the less and less he thought he was ready for this.
The nod and smirk to Vince had been short lived with Kelsey's rant and attack on him, but he had done his job as husband and let her scream and complain and tell him everything was his fault without argument. Well, for now without argument. This whole thing was going to drive him insane, on one end, he wanted those children to hurry up and be born already and put their mother in a much better mood and a hell of a lot less pain. On the other hand, he was still not sure they were entirely ready for those babies to enter the world. They were supposed to have a month still, what happened to that?! This was all happening so soon and it was definitely unexpected as far as timing goes, but since when did anything ever go "as planned" for James or Kelsey? Never. Ever. It just didn't happen to them. That would make life too easy on them.
Even though over the last year, James had spent a lot of time with his new family, it was still weird to be in the room with them alone. The fact was that even with Kelsey there, he still kind of felt alone and out of place. He knew that at this point, they were all on speaking terms and sometimes even on friendly terms. James and Robert had at one point, had a couple of good talks. But that kind of thing was rare and was still kind of weird. James had not spent much time with his own family in ages. He had hardly seen his father since the heart attack he had, and his mother was always away at work. His siblings, well, hell, they had not gotten along like they did when they were kids since James had been thirteen or fourteen, about the same time he had his first drinks and started to become the guy he was before marrying Kelsey.
James was happy Kelsey had so much family here for her, to support her, even if he did wish his own family would be nice enough to show up, he was just happy that hers had. After all, it was pretty much all about her and the babies that were still threatening to come into the world. Not that James expected his brother or sisters to come, but he had thought about letting his parents know. He had sent a letter with the one sent to the LeBlanc house, but who knows his dad might not even be home. His mom was most definitely not home, she had lots of stuff to do for work nowadays, so his father was home on a six month rest and probably bored out of his mind James would guess.
Soon enough Kelsey was complaining about the fact that no doctors had done anything about the pain and James went out into the hall and called someone in to help her out. He told them to give her anything that would make this easier on her, and he said it because he really hated seeing her in pain like this but he knew it had to be this way. Why did things like this have to be so painful for something so wonderful? How could something so natural, cause so much pain? It didn't seem right to him in anyway what so ever. This needed to be over with soon. Real soon. But then he heard Vince voice aloud that he was going to be an uncle. James rolled his eyes at his brother-in-law and said, "Yeah, you're the one that needs to be in shock with all this." There was a smirk at the end of that statement but it didn't last as once again something shocked the hell out of him, but this time it was not something Kelsey did.
So what was it that could stop James from continuing with that thought? His father walked through the door, very nonchalant and asked what he had missed. James stared for a long minute, amazed that his dad had either gotten his letter, or found out in some other way and showed up. Maybe he would feel a little less out of place now, with his father here. Maybe he would feel a little more prepared for this, the whole becoming a father thing. James wished he had spent more time talking with his dad about this, but it was too late now those kids were on the way and it was not slowing down any time soon. Finally, James managed to say something, a smile playing on his face. "Hey dad. Glad you made it... And the only thing you missed so far is Kelsey attacking me." he said with a half smile and then looked back to Kelsey and rubbed his thumb over the top of her hand as he held hers in his.
They could do this. They had to. There really was no turning back, and now, with his dad here, maybe he was ready for these babies to be born. Maybe not. Only time would tell...

Every time Robert saw Kelsey's face contort in pain, or see her grip onto James and Mandy tightly, and scream and yell - a little pang of pain hit his heart. He hated to see her in this much pain, as he did every time Mandy had been in labor. He'd gladly bear it if it were possible. But, it wasn't and a part of him was kind of glad for that. No man could even begin to imagine what it felt like to push out something that weighted six pounds or more out of something so....small. It makes a man just shudder thinking about it.
The moment Kelesy glared at them all, calling for a doctor - Robert immediately volunteered - although James beat him to it. This was his daughter and grandchildren but, he would prefer not to see everything. He'd had his share of that and it wasn't pretty. Hm, just another thing he should have warned James about. There was a lot of...unnatural things that happened during child birth. Robert patted Kelsey's shoulder, "I'll be right back, love." As Robert turned to leave the room, Harry appeared. Robert gave him a brief hello nod, and continued his way to fetch the nearest healer..doctor, what ever they were. If anyone could be persuasive enough - it was Robert. Plus, James' yelling into the hall wasn't going to do much good. He'd make sure Kelsey got what she needed and in a more personal kind of way that only he could do.
As luck would have it didn't take him long to find one - who was on her way to the room anyway. Robert persisted that Kelsey received some sort of medicine or aide to ease the pain. The woman told him she had heard the first time. Robert ignored the comment and ushered her into Kelsey's room. He then, returned to his place behind Mandy, putting his supportive hand to her shoulder again. [/blockquote]

There was no set way to describe the pain flooding through Kelsey's body at the moment. It made it seem like her insides would fly out of her body at any given moment. Breathing in, the red head tried to clear all thoughts and emotions of pain that were sweeping through her body and cast them off from her. Sadly, no matter how much she tried to make this pain disappear, it just kept getting worst and worst. Yet another scream escaped her lips as she squeezed onto James' hand more than her mother's.
Kelsey watched as James left her side for a brief moment, causing her to frown slightly. Though she probably wasn't showing it right now with her constant yelling and hitting him, she really needed him by her side. She knew she couldn't do this whole giving birth thing without him right there next to her, telling her that everything was going to be okay. Soon enough, James was right back at her side, causing her frown to disappear slightly.
The soon to be mother's sharp ears quickly heard what her brother said next, causing her to glare. Why should he be worried? All he was going to be was an uncle, which he already was! This was nothing new to him! "That is nothing knew to you Vince! You are already a bloody uncle! I'm going to be a mother! I think that alone beats your whole being an uncle situation," Kelsey snapped at Vince before gritting her teeth in pain as another contraction washed over her. She cursed loudly in pain, closing her eyes, only opening them when she heard another new voice in the room. When her eyes fluttered opened, they gazed upon the most famous Harry Potter, standing there with a smile on his face. It was nice to have at least one of James' family in the room, seeing as it was overfilled with her family members. I mean come on, you could only look at Robert's face so many times before wanting to throw a rock at it.
"I'm only attacking you because you deserve it," Kelsey snapped at James, squeezing his hand extra hard just for the fun of it. As her eyes scanned the room once again, she noticed her father had left the room, not having really paid attention to when he said he would be right back, but soon after she watched as he returned and went back to his normal spot next to her mother. No doubt he had probably went to go find a doctor for his daughter. Soon enough, the doctor quickly followed behind Robert, a smile on her face. She gave Kelsey an olive green coloured potion and told her to drink it so it could stop the pain. In the speed of lightening, she drank the potion, coughing slightly at the end as the thick sludge like substance tried to make its way down her esophagus. The pain coursing through the red head's body started to die down, but not completely. At least it was slightly bearable now.
Before she knew it, Kelsey felt the doctor go to the foot of the bed and spread her legs apart, inspecting whatever there was to be inspected. A smile graced the doctors lips before she said, "Looks like you're all dilated and ready to give birth. I'll go get the nurses and such. When I come back I would like everyone to clear the room, except for the father and one other family member if you chose." Kelsey felt all blood leave her face as she watched the nurse leave the room. This was it. She was going to be a mother. She closed her eyes, feeling tears burn her cheeks. She wasn't ready. That was all she kept repeating in her head. She wasn't ready.
"You're not leaving me!" Kelsey snapped at James, opening her eyes to look at him. She was scared that he might slip out of the room while everyone else left. She tried to control her breathing and her tears but the fear was getting the best of her. It was all too much to handle. When she woke up that morning her only worry was not to get in a big fight and kill someone at Christmas dinner. Now it was if she could survive giving birth to two living human beings while trying to stay alive herself.
"Fight amongst yourselves for who else gets to stay in the room. I don't care," Kelsey sighed, her body tired and weak before she even started the hard part. She didn't know what was in that potion but man did it ever make her feel exhausted. At least the pain was wearing off a bit. She continued to hold onto James' and her mother's hand, mentally preparing herself for whatever was going to happen next. There was only one rule she was going to follow during this one thing. It was the first and most important rule. Rule number one: Don't die.

Shock rippled through him. An uncle. Him? To TWINS? His eyes shifted nervously. What did uncle entail? At least there was a job description for mother and father... and even grandparents! But when it came to an uncle or aunt... there was not a single word on what was expected. His mind fell into a shocked silence as Kelsey snapped at him. Yeah she was in pain and all that, but she had to realize this was something for him too? Ignoring the fact that his sister was in pain, and he could hardly bear to watch, he was about to be an UNCLE to TWINS. He mumbled a few unrecognizable syllables that might have been taken as an apology as he moved off the bed and resumed his position on the wall. He flinched with her as she went through another of those painful... well, back arching things that start with a C.
He smirked slightly to himself in spite all that was going on, shrugging off his lack of knowledge of vocab in this area. And slowly the tenseness in his shoulders he hadn't realized he had began to melt away. Every guy in the world probably felt something like this when watching women close to them go through it. And after all... he WAS a guy. Women understood this stuff... which was probably why when the demand was made, he followed out the door soon after the healer. He walked over to the bed and squeezed his sister's shoulder lightly, giving an assuring smile that was the extend of what he could think of to do. "Hang in there sis. Love ya." Smiling again, he turned and passed over the threshold, loving the calming half-silence that met him in the hall.
He walked a ways down the hall and sank down against the wall, bringing up his knees and resting his hands in his face. Heaving a sigh he didn't know he had in him, he raised his head up and looked about the place where he would most likely spend the next how-many-hours anxiously awaiting news. Happy Christmas... Vince thought vaguely as he settled in for a long night. Welcome to the land of coffee, daydreaming, and doing his best to tune out the uncomfortable screams he knew would soon come.

Harry turned his head a bit and watched Robert leave the scene of the room, giving a brief moment of attention to him as he nodded back to return the greeting, but that brief moment of his attention trailing off didn't last long as Kelsey began to snap at James once again. Turning over to look at the two as he leaned against the doorway, he chuckled briefly. In all his years of having kids and raising the one thing remained the same. No matter what you said to your wife during this time, she would bite your head off in a heat beat.
James' voice filled his ears as he greeted him. "I'm glad I could make it, Son." He said with another one of his forced half smiles. It was only a few seconds later that Robert made his way back into the room with the doctor he had went to get for his daughter. Harry watched as the doc gave her a potion to kill the pain as chuckled remembering Ginny going through the same process. This sparked a brief memory of Lily that had been dead for sometime in the back of his mind, and he had to look down for a brief moment to keep the tears from spilling out of his eyes.
Looking up from his quick daze he chose the wrong time as he caught a brief glimpse of the Doctor starting to spread Kelsey's legs. He turned his back to the situation before more could be seen. Standing with his hands in his pockets and his back turned slightly, he heard Kelsey first snap at James then tell everyone else that they could fight over who else stayed. Grinning once for real, Harry turned his head and looked at those who were in the room. "Well, I've already seen this movie a few times and I know the ending quite well." He chuckled out, "So I shall step out for the time being." He looked James in the eye for a moment and smiled. "I'm proud of you." He said before turning and walking out of the room.
"Well, that was better than I thought it would be." Harry thought to himself as he went into the waiting hall, sitting down in the blue cushion chairs.

Right now Kelsey was depending on her and as much as she desired to take her stand and reside in the safety of the hallway, the maternal part of her felt that it was practically her duty to stay by her daughter. It was times like these Kelsey counted on Mandy the most. It was the one time Mandy counted on Fiona to be there, and although her mother failed to make an appearance at the birth of her son, she’d sworn not to make the same mistake her own mother had made.
It had been acknowledged that Mandy had abandoned Kelsey most her childhood, not offering her the attention or love she truly deserved. Although, this past year had revolved around reconciliation and mending broken bridges. The guilt for all those years of resentment and bitterness had slowly ate away at her as she sat on the left side of the bed, holding onto her daughter’s hand. Maybe if they’d been on good terms, maybe then Mandy could have prevented this. Perhaps then, Kelsey would have been a more reserved child, not as willing to jump head first into a relationship and end up in this situation, a situation were so much pain was involved. With her free hand, she absentmindedly placed it over her own stomach, almost dreading the pain that awaited her in little than a few months time. Now, it wasn’t that Mandy wasn’t excited for the birth of her grandchildren and daughter, she was over the moon. Frankly, she was more worried about the work that it would take to get them here.
Tracing her thumb over Kelsey’s hand, she sighed softly as the nurse informed them that it was time and that family members should evacuate the room, except for the father and another member. Glancing at her daughter with hazel eyes, Mandy chewed on her lower lip, “Should I go? Or would you prefer that I stay?” She finally asked, uncertain whether Kelsey would rather have her mother outside in the waiting room, or incase she decided she wanted another family member at the birth instead.
