A week had passed since Angela last saw Trent, and slept with him once again. The first time when it happened, after the Christmas ball, she had put the blame on him, saying that he had taken undue advantage of her being drunk. Although, she was also aware that he had drunk himself to oblivion as well. And when the passion still simmered between them, who could blame either of them, when they were drunk, and had very less control over their mind? Especially when each of them was still in love with the other; and had so many lovely memories together in the past, it was just an incident waiting to happen.
Then, she had interviewed him, and he, in an attempt to make her jealous, flirted with other females in an around him. It had worked, she had almost bitten his head off, when he just smirked and kissed her. Things had gotten out of hand after that. She'd slept with him, this time having nothing to blame him for. She was very much in her senses, and yet she had slept with him. All night she sat up and wrote the article, so that she wouldn't have to face him ever again, or so she hoped. But Merlin had his own wish, because she knew, they would run into each other once again. The next time, she ran into Alec, and not Trent. She had been scared ever since the meeting, because Alec had seen her with Aaron. She had told him it was someone else's child, but she didn't think he believed her. After all, Aaron resembled himself and Trent very much.
And now, finally, she had found some peace. Three days of meeting no one, and staying at home, with her son. Although, she did sense he was getting bored. Her son, Aaron was of the active kinds, he had to keep on doing something. Taking her chances, she decided to take him to the park. Normally, she would take him to the muggle park, but her son needed to be knowing about his magical side too, so instead, she took him to a very famous wizard park.
Looking at the grin which Aaron had donned, she smiled. She knew he would like this park. It was built like it was every child's fantasy. "Like it, Aaron?" asked she, and then, she said, "Come! Catch mama!" and ran, albeit slowly, so that he could catch her. She was laughing, he was laughing, and they were really having a very nice bonding time. It was the first time in months that she had been so happy, and carefree.

Milly was the perfect house wife. She was kind to those she loved, kept her opinions to herself and made sure that everything was perfect. She had the perfect husband, the perfect daughter, the perfect little house, and basically a perfect life. Milly had gotten everything she had wanted in life. Well everything except one crucial item. Milly wanted a son. A little boy to make her family complete. Her desire for a son was so great that she felt that she would not be happy without one. Her and her husband had been trying to have another child for months. She knew that someday she would have the son she desired. However, she wanted one right now so badly that she would cry when the thought came upon her. She was a determined person and she would have her son.
It was a beautiful winter day in January. Milly was home with her daughter, alone, since her loving husband was out at work. Boredom had washed over both her and her daughter. Then, a most amazing idea struck her. Milly decided to take her daughter to the park for some fun in the snow. In a matter of minutes Milly had gotten both her and her daughter ready and apparated to the park. Milly couldn't help but smile as the fresh winter air hit her senses.
"Mummy let's build a snowman!" Sophia chirped with a smile on her face. For a three year old Sophia could speak very well. Smiling, Milly nodded and began to build the snowman with her daughter. Sophia looked just like Milly. They had the same blond hair, huge grin, nose, and basic figure. However, Sophia had inherited Alec's grey eyes. She was the perfect child. Milly had been rolling up a snowball when suddenly she looked around and Sophia was gone. In a panic, Milly stood up and looked around, spotting her little angel over by a woman and her young son.
"Would you like to build a snowman with me?" Sophia had asked the little boy as she walked over to him with her small tooth smile. Milly quickly ran up to Sophia and put her hands on her daughter's shoulders.
"Sophia! What did I tell you about wandering away from mommy without telling her. I thought I lost you.... Angela?" Milly said, looking up from her daughter and finally getting a good look at the woman. It was Trent's ex-wife. She hadn't seen this woman in years.

Angela and Aaron were playing catch-catch, until, Aaron almost slipped, and fell. She let out a gasp, "Aaron!" and lunged to prevent him from falling on the snow clad garden floor. It was late in January, it was white all around, on account of the snow. And when Angela had caught Aaron's fall, he'd laughed, and proclaimed! "Caught! Mum!" She glared at him playfully, and joined him too. "You naughty son of mine!" Then, she just went on to tickle him.
Winter had been Trent's favorite season, and she could see Aaron had acquired that trait as well. She remembered she'd asked him why he loved winter so much, and he'd just merely responded with a kiss, and a snuggle. Later on, he'd said he loved winter because it gave him an excuse to always stay close to her, and keep her warm. She'd laughed, and hit him playfully then, but she knew that he'd loved snow. His eyes lit up at its mention, and undoubtedly Christmas was his favorite festival. He had showered her with presents, and presents, all December and January in the two and a half years that they were dating and married. On the other hand, Angela wasn't particularly fond of the winter season, because she used to get cold very quickly. However, her son loved the winter, just like his father. Right now, Aaron wasn't wearing any coat, but just a T-shirt, and she? She had worn a turtleneck full sleeved shirt, and a pullover on top of it, and had a scarf around her neck. Plus, she'd worn her boots over her jeans. She did carry Aaron's pullover in case he needed it. She didn't allow him to remove his gloves though, even if he refused to wear his sweater, and boots. She just couldn't believe how fast he was growing. Last she had brought him here, was when he was not even a year old. Now? he'd grown up so much!
Something like a rock hit her, and she came out of her reverie. She turned about and saw her son smirking. He had hit her with a snow ball! "Oh, no, Aaron," Said she, in a mock serious tone, "You did not just do that!" Aaron, being Aaron, pulled his tongue out at her. She laughed, and said, "Now you wait!" She scooped out some of the snow, shaped it into a ball, and aimed at her son and threw it. It almost hit the target, and just then, he moved away. Aaron, now started teasing his mother.
During this time, Milly, Alec's wife and their daughter had come to the park. She had not taken notice of the fact, as she was happily spending time with her own son. However, Aaron observed a little girl about his age, and smiled at her. Then, he turned his attention to his mother and went back to having a snowball fight with Angela. After a while, they just sat down, resting for sometime, as Angela was short of breath. She rested her back against a tree, with her legs outstretched, and placed Aaron on her lap, when the little girl approached them.
Angela smiled at this beautiful girl, who somewhat looked familiar, but she couldn't place whom she'd resembled. "Would you like to build a snowman with me?" asked she, smiling at Aaron. Angela smiled, and kissed Aaron's hair, "Do you want to?" Aaron nodded. Angela turned her head back towards the little girl, and was about to respond, when she heard a voice calling out to the girl, chastising her not to go away without telling her mother. Angela could understand, mainly because, she'd told Aaron that herself so many times. Aaron was as mischievous as perhaps Trent might have been when he was a child, because she definitely had no trace of mischief in her bones, and knowing Trent, she was sure he was a troublemaker for his mother. She wouldn't know for sure though, because the ones who could tell her Trent's deepest secrets, weren't ready to acknowledge her presence in his life.
The same voice broke into her thoughts, as Angela had been staring into space. She shifted her eyes at the source of the voice and found herself eye to eye with Milly. "Milly?!" replied she, almost instantaneously. The last time she'd seen her was when Trent and she had gone to visit Alec, and his pregnant wife, mere days before her own marriage fell apart. "Isn't this yours and Alec's daughter, Sophia?" she asked gesturing towards Sophia. Now she realized why that little girl had looked so familiar. She looked like Milly, except for those eyes, which were Alec's, the trademark green or grey eyes of the Lotts. Also, she had seen them just a few days back. Although at that time, Angela had been too worried about the Lotts finding out about their heir, so she hadn't paid much attention to this adorable little girl. But now that she knew, she wondered what she was going to do about it? How could she keep Aaron from knowing her cousin, his family? The guilt that she'd managed to push deep down, had resurfaced once again.
For a minute, it hadn't registered in her brain, that she had just met Alec a few days back, and Trent even before that. Yet, none actually knew Aaron was her son, but she couldn't perhaps lie to Milly. She was a mother too, and she could sense and understand things pretty well. Now, Angela and Aaron were in deep trouble. Soon, Trent would know, and when he did, all hell would break lose. What was it about the Lotts? Why did they have to just bump into her, when she least expected it? When she let her guard little down? No doubt she felt guilty about keeping Trent in dark, but... she didn't want Aaron to face through the same thing she did.

Milly could not believe that Angela stood before her. Just last night her husband was telling her how she was back in town. Milly had never really had a conversation with Angela before. Sure she had met her once or twice with the occasional hello every now and then but that was about it. They were not friends, having not really known anything about one another. The only things that Milly knew about Angela were that she was Trent's ex-wife, and that she was muggle born. Milly was brought up in a pureblood home and was taught to hate muggle born witches and wizards, or as she would like to call them, mudbloods. Milly loved everyone and was kind, but having been brought up like that, she couldn't help but feel a certain prejudice towards Angela.
"I'm sorry mummy, but can I go build a snowman now?" Sophia said, interrupting Milly from her thoughts. Milly couldn't help but smile at her little girl. She knelt down and fixed the scarf around her daughters neck before placing a kiss on her forehead. "Okay sweetie, go play. Just stay where I can see you," Milly said in a calming voice before standing straight again. She watched as Sophia grabbed the little boy's hand and ran with him to a pile of snow just feet from where they were. Milly diverted her attention back to Angela and placed a small smile on her face.
"Yes that is little Sophia. She is just like her father, always giving me trouble," Milly said, laughing a bit and smiling. She looked back at Sophia and her smile widened more. Sophia was the light in her life. That one child could make Milly smile even on the most awful day. She didn't know what it was about her that did this. Never had Milly loved anything more than she did for Sophia and Alec.
"Is that your little boy?" Milly asked, looking at Angela with curious eyes. The little boy looked to be around Sophia's age. He was a handsome lad, that was for sure. However, if it was Angela's child, Milly couldn't help but wonder who the father would be. Surely it wouldn't be Trent. After all, Trent had never mentioned any word of him having a son. Would Angela have been keeping a son a secret from him all these years? Milly stopped thinking these thoughts at once. She knew she shouldn't jump to conclusions like this. She would need all the facts before drawing a final conclusion.

[[Angela's not back in Trent's life, yet btw]]
Angela was just shell shocked, that she had run into Milly Lott in this playground of all the places. Couldn't Milly have chosen another day, another time for her to come there and let Sophia play? Well, in a way, she knew this disaster was waiting to happen. Ever since she laid her eyes back on Trent at the ministry, something or the other had happened. She'd run into everyone she didn't want to see. Hell, she'd ended up on the bed with him twice; of which they had made love at least three times each time it happened. How was it that even if she hated him for what he'd done to her, and yet she couldn't control herself whenever she was near him? They behaved worse than teenagers around each other! For merlin's sake, she was a mother! Yet, she couldn't get enough of him. Oh, no, she had to forget about him. Shooing these thoughts from her mind, she focussed on her sister in law, by marriage.
Milly was the perfect wife, she was the perfect daughter in law; pureblood, and everything Trent's mother could possibly want. She even had the proper etiquette, not that Angela lacked it. She was thrust upon with etiquette and social behaviour right from childhood. It just did not help that she'd turned out to be 'a freak', in her parents' words. After she'd married Trent, she'd realized, there wasn't much difference between her childhood life and her married life. Both were governed by the most important principle, that appearances meant everything. She just laughed at the irony, that her family hated witchcraft; and how much her in-laws hated the muggles, and the muggleborns. Nonetheless, whenever Trent dragged her to the family stuff;s which was a rarity in itself; her introvert nature had kicked in. She'd remain at a side, and let him enjoy being with his family. Everyone, would just be polite to her, if not ignore her. Most of the times, she'd refused to come, because she'd feel lonely. For her sake, even Trent wouldn't go; and then she'd feel bad that she'd kept him from his family. The next time, due to guilt, she'd consent; and then regret it. Because every single moment, Trent's mother would point out how she didn't fit in the family, how Shiloh would have been a better wife to Trent. Even if she didn't believe her, it still hurt to know that she really did not have a family save for Trent. For her sake, how could she separate him from a family that loves him so much? As it is, he'd almost cut off all his relations, because they wouldn't accept her as his wife.
Her mother in law had gotten her wish, when they had separated. While parting, she just told her a couple of words to her, 'You win.' At that time, she had almost forced Trent to throw a party for Alec and Milly, because of their good news. Little did Angela know that she, herself was pregnant at that time as well. After she separated, she'd almost resorted to Alcohol, but then had discovered that she was pregnant. She immediately rushed back to tell Trent, but on hearing Shiloh's giggles, she just left, and never returned. She'd led a very difficult life, because she had no money, no job, and nothing to support her. She started off by selling some of the gifts that Trent had given her, hunting for a job. EJ, had been kind enough to her, because she was pregnant, and because she had nothing. Apart from that, she also worked in muggle places, and finally bought a small cramped place just outside Diagon Alley. She looked back at Milly, and saw how perfect as a Lott she was. Perfect clothes, and perfect manner. But Angela? She was just wearing some turtleneck, and jeans, not the epitome of perfection. Trent's mother had been right, she did not fit in the family. She was far too carefree and outspoken for that.
It was little Sophia who got her back from the reverie. She seemed to be asking her mother permission to build the snowman that she had been building. Aaron turned to look at her, and softly asked, "Mum?" With the expression that he had donned on his face, she could never deny him anything. She nodded and blinked her eyes in consent. Aaron jumped from her lap and gave her a kiss on his cheek. "Just, be good Aaron, don't trouble her." She saw as Sophia grabbed his hand and they went to accomplish the task of building a snowman.
Once Aaron had gone, Angela herself got up from the ground, and stood beside Milly. She, along with Milly were observing their children play. She didn't remove her eyes from the kids, when Milly confirmed that Sophia was indeed her's and Alec's daughter. Angela almost laughed when she said that Sophia was just like Alec, troubling her at all times. Without thinking, Angela blurted out, "Aaron is entirely like his father, as well. Sometimes I really wonder if I am his mother. He hardly has acquired any trait from me." She just had this motherly smile on her face. Talking about her son, made her feel so proud. She couldn't believe that at one point she hadn't wanted kids at all. Looking at Aaron, she had realised how right Trent had been, wanting children. Almost at the same time, she realized that she had slipped up, and indirectly told Milly that Trent was Aaron's father. How could have she done that? She looked back at Milly terrified, but thankfully Milly was still looking at their children playing.
'Is that your little boy?' Milly had asked, curiosity evident in her eyes. Angela looked back at her son playing with his cousin. While making the snowman, he'd decided to also resume his snowball fight, but only with his cousin, and not his mother. They were laughing now, as Aaron chased her with a snowball in his hand. She had an eye on him, even if she was talking to Milly. Aaron had never been with kids around his age, so she did not know how he would be with a girl, who was merely a few weeks elder to her. She did not even know when Sophia was born. The last time she had calculated, co-incidentally, she and Milly got pregnant around at the same time. She would have to ask Milly that, wouldn't she? She smiled at her child, playing with his cousin. "Yes," she said in reply to Milly's question, "That is my little boy." Her voice was filled with pride. If anyone would have asked her, what was the best thing that could have happened to her, she would have undoubtedly said, it was Trent, and now Aaron. She loved her son more than anything in the world.

Say it's true I'll never ask for anyone but you-------------------------------------------------
Milly was no fool. She knew that the little boy belonged to Trent. After all, it seemed to fit all of the pieces of the puzzle. He was around the same age as Sophia, three years old, the same amount of time that Trent and Angela had been broken up. It was the only explanation. However, Milly knew she shouldn't jump to conclusions. She needed the facts before she could. Milly continued to smile, her loving nature shinning through.
"It's funny how most children are like their fathers. Well, most Lott children anyways," Milly said in her sweet little voice, dropping the hint that she knew that the child was Trent's. Milly looked over at the children playing contently, and she couldn't help but smile. Sophia was like an angel on earth. She could make any person smile on their worst day. Her blond hair and blue eyes made it impossible to say no to her. It was certain that she would break a lot of hearts when she is older. Milly moved her attention back towards Angela, about to say something when she heard a little sweet voice from the distance.
"Mommy! Mommy! Look here at what I'm doing!" Sophia said in an excited tone. Smiling, Milly looked over to see her daughter lifting a very big snowball with a look of achievement on her face. Milly laughed and smiled. The look on Sophia's face was priceless. "Oh wow honey! You're really strong! Make sure not to drop that on your toes, sweetie," Milly said in a calm and loving tone. Yet again, Milly diverted her attention back to Angela, the loving smile on her face not daring to leave. Whenever Milly was with Sophia her world just seemed brighter. Nothing could make her stop smiling.
"Well he is certainly a little handsome boy. Forgive me if I am crossing some boundaries, but I couldn't help but wonder, well, is the father of your son Trent?" Milly finally asked. That question had been burning in her brain ever since she seen the little boy. If the child was Trent's, he certainly did not know about him. There was no doubt in Milly's mind that the boy was Trent's. He obviously had inherited some Lott traits. Milly stood there, waiting for a response from Angela to feed her burning curiosity.

Angela merely nodded at her statement, too engrossed to notice that Milly had insinuated that Aaron was indeed one of the Lotts. She had been awed by the sight of the two cousins playing and enjoying the world. Angela wished that she was like Aaron, or Sophia, carefree, without any care for the world, or anything. Life had been so simple through their innocent eyes. Then, Angela realised she'd been slipping up unabashedly. Milly was bound to know Aaron was hers and Trent's, she just had to look at Aaron to understand that. However, this was the second time, Angela hadn't protested to the fact that Aaron was indeed Trent's son; it was as if she was indirectly confirming this fact.
Fortunately, or so Angela hoped, Milly was too busy paying attention to her gorgeous blonde-haired and blue eyed kid, to listen to her... not deny that Trent was Aaron's father. Although, soon enough, the frown on Angela's face turned into a smile, as she saw Trent and Sophia throwing snow balls at each other. But when Sophia was addressing her mother, Aaron was scooping some ice, and shaping it into a ball, and was about to catch Sophia unaware's, when Angela leaped forward, "Aaron, no!" said she, dragging Sophia away from the spot that would've made her a target. "Aaron, you naughty, silly, lovely boy of mine, never hit a girl, or anyone from behind. It's very cowardly. You could have harmed Sophia Aaron, momma's very angry with you. Now apologize to her, and don't do this ever again. Go." urged she, and watched as Aaron took Sophia's hands, and mumbled an apology. Sophia overwhelmed by this entire incident, was almost in tears, and was sticking close to her mother's side. Reluctantly, she offered him a smile, and the children were back to making some snowman.
It was then Angela breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry," said she to Milly, "Aaron rarely plays with any children of his age, so...." she trailed off, not knowing what else to say. How could she say, I’ve been keeping him behind closed doors, because I don’t want him to meet any of you Lotts, and break his heart like you did mine? She saw as her son conversed with his cousin, with a bright smile on his face, the smile which melted her own heart, and she was sure in years to come, it would melt the hearts of the other females around him as he did hers, just like how his father had managed to capture her heart, with this careless smile of his. Thus, Angela couldn’t deny Aaron anything, but she was going to have to be careful in the future, lest he become very spoilt.
“Thank you Milly, so is Sophia.” complimented she honestly. Finally Milly had asked if Aaron was Trent’s or not. Angela blurted out without thinking, “Yes… No… I mean, yes he’s the sperm donor, but that’s where it all ends. I’m both Aaron’s mother and father.” she now turned towards Milly, her eyes filled with tears. “I know you probably don’t have a high opinion of me, but please, I beg of you, please promise me you won’t tell Trent or even Alec about it. I don’t want them to know about Aaron, and steal him from me. He’s all I’ve got. Please…” she said, her voice broken, as she tried to control her tears from falling.
