Lucas glanced up at his fellow house mates that appeared to be surrounding him in the Hufflepuff common room. Was he the only one that was dying of boredom? Everyone else seemed so occupied with the daily prophet or some new piece of gossip that had fallen their way. Lucas on the other end was completely bored. He didn't really do gossip. So in the end he dragged himself up and headed out, shaking off the girls that offered to keep him company. He was in need of a fresh relationship with someone.
What brought him out to the grounds he wasn't sure. Ok so it was a little windy and cold but he let his legs drag him along to wherever they wanted to go. Soon collapsing to the ground with a butter beer he had snagged up along the way down. He glanced around seeing very few people around. He sighed taking a sip and admired the black lake in the distance. What was there to do?

Danniyelle was sick of Hufflepuff girls. She had to admit that. Girls were really annoying her. They were acting the way muggles do in high school. In the ewnd, she just stormed out, taking a book with her. She was muttering and to herself. 'Stupid idiots ... Why do they ... and then what ....' As she drew closer, she spotted a boy, from her own house. Not in the mood for human contact, she tried swiftly to move away, sitting near him, but not too near. He didn't notice her, which was perfectly fine. The reason she sat near him, without him actually sensing her, was because he was sitting where a small clearing was, letting the sun in, and Danniyelle needed that extra bit of warmth. It wasn't very long until she noticed a girl skipping towards herself, or was it the boy? No, herself. "The big girls say they need you to say sorry before they can be your friends, and the young boys say the need you to fix thier eyebrows like you promised you would before they go out." the younger informed her. Danniyelle snorted. This was a new time low, sending a kid out to do their dirty work for them. Well, the girls at least. The older girl sighed, fumbling around her pocket and handing the girl a galleon, muttered, "I'll deal with them. Go buy yourself something." The young girl thanked Danni, and left for Hogsmeade. "ME Say Sorry?!" Danniyelle glared, her voice loud, forgetting the older boy in front of her. She threw her book away, managing to hit the guy on the back. Great move Danni ... Danniyelle thought to herself. She walked over slowly, picking up her book and turning to him. "Sorry about that."

What was the whole idea about gossip? If anything Lucas only listened out for the good or interesting parts, most of it ended up in the utter complete crap bucket, and whatever was left was sorted into true and possible. Maybe it was something to make the world less boring? After all without gossip queens and rumours there would be what? rather bored people Lucas was sure. Even if most gossip became boring after a while it would just mean that something even more big and interesting would fall along.
Currently it was all about Potter being a death eater. Lucas had suspected that for a while since the girl had begun acting rather... strange. Especially when he caught her glaring at her cousin { who happened to be lucas's best friend Dominique } . There was always something funny about that girl. His thoughts were soon cut short by the sound of some girl that sounded like she was about to rant away. As soon as the book hit him, he presumed it was some girl that he had fooled with... and well they had ended up hurt by his actions.
He prepared himself for some sort of slap to come along but it never came, instead some blonde haired girl, another hufflepuff whom headed over and picked up the book that had been aimed at him. He chuckeled realising he didn't exactly know the girl, so he couldn't have possibly done something wrong.. right? "Oh its ok." he replied politely. "Just curious though, why exactly was the book thrown?"
