Poppy Saunders was completely and utterly bored. She had been working around her small flat, but soon everything that had to be done was finished. She had seen a flyer for the Summer Fest that she had picked up and decided to go, even if it was for a little while. She sighed and had gotten a ride from a friend there.
Now she sat in the grass at the concert hall, staring up at the large stage. No one was around, so she decided to do something daring for once in her life. Carrying the small wheel thing in her hands, Poppy climbed on stage and looked around at all the empty-ness. She smiled to herself and bit on her lower lip. She lowered her eyes to the ground, a feeling of being watched over-coming her.
There was no way anyone could be interesting in what she was doing up here, she thought. No one was ever interested in what she did when she was alone. She walked over to the empty mic stand and looked around. She hummed to herself as she looked around and then started walking around the stage.
She could imagine what it was like for the bands playing here. Exhilerating, frightening. Poppy bit harder in her lip and sat in the middle of the stage.

It was still summer and Spencer was getting bored. He really didn't like staying away from school for too long, as weird as that sounds. He didn't like the classes, or the work, but he loved the people. He loved being noticed, and causing trouble, but most of all, he loved making people laugh. Laughter was definitely his favorite sound.
Spence thought that he'd head over to Summer Fest. There has to be some people there, at least, hell, more like a crowd, I suppose. He drove his way to the festival in his expensive, black, Lamborghini. He always took the change to show off, and what better way to take his most fanciest car? Parking it in the lot, he walked into the festival. He first headed to the concert hall, expecting a band to be playing, but there wasn't. There was only a girl sitting in the middle of the stage, alone. He walked toward the stage and called out to her. "Hey! What'cha doing?"

PPoppy jumped at the sound of a voice, not expecting it to come from someone who was actually interested in what she was doing. She blushed up to her ears as she turned to face the man. Or, at least she thought it was a man. Maybe someone her age? She bit on her lower lip lightly.
"I-I didn't t-th-think anyone w-was here..." she said quietly, not answering the question. What was she doing? She was in the Concert Hall, sitting, in the middle of the stage. Nothing interesting what-so-ever.

Spence tilted his head. Why is she stuttering for? It's not like I even did anything. I just asked her 'what's up'... He walked closer to the stage so he didn't have to shout to her. He touched the side of the stage before he decided to lean on it. He was tall enough to put his arms on the top of the stage so he could lean his head on his arms and rest there.
"Well by the looks of it, no one really is here. I am in disappoint. Hah. But hey, at least you're here, so I'm not alone."

Poppy messed with her rainbow pinwheel quietly as she watched him, and listened to him talk. He was actually glad she was here? That was a new one. She felt her lips twitch into an almost-smile at the thought. She wasn't usually wanted somewhere. Hence living by herself and not having any real friends. She let out a sigh.
Poppy nodded her head. "Mm, yeah. S-S-o you're h-happy that I'm h-h-here? she asked, wanting to make sure.

Spence smiled, "Sure am, Stutter." He had only known Poppy for a few moments and he already gave her a nickname. He tilted his head, and looked at her. He had never seen her before. He stood up straight, stretched, then climbed up onto the stage. "So what house are you in? I'm in Gryffindor."
ooc;; sorry its short, i had no idea what to post.

The girls' face turned a bright red colour when he called her Stutter. She had never had a nickname, due to the fact that there was absolutely no variation of the name Poppy. She smiled a little, biting on her lower lip as she did so. She looked at her feet, then at him. "Stutter?" she said, arching an eyebrow.
Poppy let out a small sigh. She knew this question was going to be coming at her at some point. What House are you in? She got that a lot. And to say that she was in Hufflepuff, the wimpy House, was just enough to get her made of fun of more than she usually was. "I'm in....Hufflepuff." she said with another sigh.
ooc;; it's ok. i'm sore and that was all i could think of. disneyland kills.

Spencer nodded, "Yeah, Stutter, 'cause you've been stuttering when you've been speaking..." He thought that it was quite obvious. He walked over to her and sat down next to her. He crossed his legs and smiled when she told him what house she was in.
"Oh! That's cool. It's different from all the other Gryffindors and Slytherins you see 'round here these days." He leaned forward to get a better look at her face. He definitely was pretty, no doubt.

Poppy put her hands on her hips, still sitting on the large stage. "I c-can't help i-it." she said, giving him a hard look. She kind of tightened her muscles when he sat down next to her, and blushed yet again. She hated blushing. She always did, even when she was little.
She completely froze when he said bing a Hufflepuff was cool. She almost laughed out loud. Being in Hufflepuff was cool? Since when?, which is what she wanted so desperetly to ask, but couldn't bring herself to it. She just shook her head. "H-Hufflepuff? C-c-cool? That's a n-new one." she said, not quite stuttering as much.

Spencer noticed how she was always blushing. It was adorable- but unnecessary. If this kept on going he'd have to change her nickname to 'Blushy', or something. He laughed softly at her retort. "Yeah, yeah, sure you can't....just take a few deep breaths or something?"
She didn't feel very fond of her house. Spence frowned a bit. "Yeah, I said cool....Why would that be a knew one?"
She seemed pretty offended with his nickname for her, he least he could do was ask for her real name. "So Stutter, what's your name, then?"

Poppy laughed quietly at the thought. Taking a few breaths. She decided to do that anyway, breathing in and out slowly through her nose and letting it out through her mouth. She bit on the inside of her cheek, smiling a little bit.
The smile disappeared with his next sentence. "No one likes Hufflepuff's." she said bluntly. It was true, no one did.
It seemed to her that names hadn't been very important to this guy, but maybe they were. She could never tell right away. "M-My name is Poppy." Thank Merlin she hadn't stuttered on her name. Then he would have been calling her "P-P-Poppy." or something. She looked at him, her hair falling over her face a little bit. "What's yours?"

[/i]'No one likes Hufflepuffs.'[/i] Maybe Spencer was an airhead because he had never noticed. Then he took a few seconds to think about it. Maybe she was right. One rarely hears about a Hufflepuff, unless they were being pranked. Plus, Spence had done his fair share of Hufflepuff pranks...but that was mainly because most of them were so easy to well...prank...and scare. He frowned a bit. He made up his mind that he would now prank all houses equally. "Well...I like Hufflepuffs." It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't like he loved them either. He really never thought about houses anyway. He raised his eyebrows at her unusual, but original name. "Poppy? Nice." He leaned forward a bit when she asked him his name. "I'm Spencer, Spencer Lewes." Even if it was just a first name basis...he still always gave out his full name. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Poppy's lips turned up into a smirk, finding it hard to resist. "You like Hufflepuff's, do you? Then you must be asking for an ass beating." she said, her stuttering completely gone now. "If someone finds out about that...you know how things go at Hogwarts any more." She grinned, maybe she was finally getting over how shy she was. Or maybe she could just blame this one on the strange guy sitting next to her.
Okay, she was dead wrong. When Spencer leaned in to say his name, her face turned beat red and she could feel a stutter showing up in her next sentence. "Nice t-t-o meet you, S-Spencer." she said, sighing at the end. She knew it would happen.

It seemed like Poppy was getting over her stutter- which was great. He listened quietly to her explanations of all the Hufflepuff stuff. He lilted his head and thought somewhat before he spoke, (which he'd probably never ever do again) "Well, I like what I like. I don't discriminate different houses, nope. I mean, well I am proud to be a Gryffindor, but I wouldn't mind ever being set into another house if I was supposed to. Be proud of who you are, Pops." Oh God. Here we go. Another Nickname. But it was true- Spence loved people who were confident and didn't feel sorry for themselves or their houses.
When Spence leaned over to tell her his name, he laughed at her response. "And here comes Stutter....came runin' back." He smiled and his dark brown eyes shown with amusement.

Poppy smiled and nodded her head. "That's good, people shouldn't do that." she said quietly, rubbing the back of her head. She bit on her lower lip and looked out over the expanse of stage for a moment before turning her head back to him when her new nickname registered. "Pops?" she mouthed to herself, pulling a face.
Another grin found it's way across her features when he laughed. She laughed quietly as well, not too much though. "Stutter and Pops. Thanks." she said.
