The Outer Layer
Physical Appearance;
Anthony could be considered handsome, but his quiet inner nature keeps him from being very noticeable. He has short black hair that is always kept fairly neat and blue eyes that seem to always be searching for something. His skin is slightly tanned all year round due to his Italian ancestry, but he's never very dark. Anthony has a smile filled with small imperfections, none of which detract from his good looks. In fact, his smile lights up his entire face. His face is boyish for a young man of 16, but his body is growing into a more manly shape. He's of average build, and perhaps could be considered a bit broad in the shoulders. Anthony is on the tall side (somewhere around 6'1), but because of his build his height seems natural and not awkward.

Personality;
Anthony is very levelheaded and smart. He is usually the one who keeps his sister, Aunelia, in her place. He’s very mature and serious, but he also knows how to have fun. He cares more about his schoolwork then friends. Anthony has a few friends, but his friends are very select. Despite this, he gets along with most people. He tends to have good relationships with elders and Professors because they are more mature.
One's first impression of Anthony would be that he is painfully shy, which is partially true. He hides himself behind books and music and has trouble letting himself experience new and different things. When Anthony finally brings himself to talk to someone, it is revealed that he is witty and charming, helpful and kind. He hides his true feelings behind jokes and witty comments instead of being open. Despite this, he is honest with other people. It is easier for Anthony to be honest with others than to be honest with himself. Sometimes he can seem like a bit of a know it all, but this is never his intention. He enjoys teaching others what he knows and believes that he can be helpful to any student who is struggling with their subjects. He enjoys a good challenge and pushes himself to excel in everything he does.
The Past
History;
Anthony had a reasonable childhood with his younger sister, Aunelia. The two always felt very blessed because their parents are rather wealthy. His parents worked hard to achieve wealth and a good social status, but in doing so left both their children with slight feelings of neglect.
For as long as Anthony could remember his time spent with his parents was minimal. However, this did not keep him from having a happy childhood, but may have kept him from being as social as he could be. Most of his time was spent reading alone or playing with his sister. The two have a very close bond to one another because with their parents mostly out of the picture, all they had was each other.
Ever since his acceptance to Hogwarts, Anthony has tried to make a name for himself among his fellow students. He has tried to maintain his role as an intelligent, quiet student who showed great potential. His polite demeanor and eagerness to learn has made him a favorite among Professors, but Anthony tends to deny any attempts Professors make to show favoritism toward him. In his first year, another student tried to make fun of him for excelling in Charms class, causing Anthony to stand up for himself in the way that he has since then (by pointing out any flaws of the fellow student in a humorous way).

Anthony slid into his normal seat in the Great Hall and immediately opened a book. The past week had been a rather stressful one at Hogwarts, he had two papers due and a potions project that left him mentally and physically drained. His only way to escape was to try and read a book for fun while taking a few bites of toast in between. He kept his head down low, hoping to avoid any conversation with anyone that morning. It was the first time in days that he felt he had a minute to himself and not devoted to school work and as selfish as it sounded, he didn't want to be interrupted with trivial conversation.
He looked up for a moment and was surprised to see Holly, his crush of three years sitting in the seat across from him. Anthony tried not to let his cheeks flush and buried himself back into his book. Before, his crush on Holly had been a minor thing, just a little distraction from his studies. This year, things had felt different, he felt different. It seemed more important to him to at least talk to her, especially since they only had a year left at Hogwarts.
"Hello Anthony."
He looked up to see that it was Holly addressing him and his cheeks immediately flushed. He was momentarily at a loss for words before he uttered a meek "Um, hello Holly" back.
