The Outer Layer
Physical Appearance; Elsie is a very strange looking girl. Her cheekbones are sunken and dark, while the rest of her face is bright and shining. Her smile can light up the whole room, while her frown is a horrible sight.
Elsie's eyes are a light mix of blue and green, perfectly contrasting her white blonde hair. Her golden locks are often up in a simple ponytail, a few strands of bang still sticking out, or straight down. Elsie's hair is naturally stick straight, so she has no trouble with brushing it or taking care of it. Her hair is almost as fine and thin as her body, almost. Elsie has had some troubles with her weight in the past, and is just getting over being bulimic. She is still very skinny, but is recovering well, though she still has some tendencies to talk trash about herself and to look in the mirror constantly.
Elsie's facial features are very curved and angular. From the side, her nose swoops down noticeably. Like her cheekbones, this student's eyes are quite sunken too, giving her a kind of corpse-like look.
Elsie likes to dress very 'vintage'. She enjoys wearing nice dresses with poofy bottoms, beaded skirts, solid coloured cardigans, sparkly necklaces and jewelery. Her tastes are quite expensive, but her family can afford it.

Personality; Elsie is a very eccentric, cluttered person. She is quite intelligent, and can answer problematic, realistic questions that require craftiness and luck. She usually gets good grades, because of her readiness and quick hand. Elsie is also very good at the arts. She is a skilled painter, writer and actor. If not in her dorm room or outside, you can usually find Elsie hiding in a corner, painting in some kind of little note book, usually with runny water colors, as she prefers them the most. Elsie is also very kind and selfless. She enjoys helping out others, and would never leave a friend hanging. She is extremely loyal and generous, and doesn't mind giving money to charities, as she has so much more anyways.
On the other hand, Elsie is not perfect. She is horrible at arithmancy, and writing nonfiction. She hates having boundaries, and gets annoyed easily when people start trying to limit her. She is also very bad at listening to people when they're talking to her, or following directions. She likes to go her own way, and if it's not her way, it's sitting down on the floor and waiting until it is. Elsie is also not your typical girly teenager, so she isn't so great at the stereotypical hobbies like makeovers, shopping sprees, and baking cookies. Actually, not so great doesn't cover it. She's horrid. Elsie hates shopping, and considers it a waste of time that she could be spending doing something worthwhile. She has never been good at cooking, because of her simple inability to follow directions. She always just has to try to add some chili peppers to her ice cream cake, since it would make it taste just that much better.
Elsie is also quite insecure about her body, and often feels like everybody is staring at her, even if they're not. She used to be bulimic, but got over that and is now recovering well. She often trash talks her thighs and stomach, and isn't good with other people one upping her.
The Past
History; Elsabelle Mae Laren was born in Ancrise, Kent, England to Saffron Greene- Laren and Tom Laren on August 18th. Her mother was an elementary school teacher and her father owned his own hardware store, both of her parents being muggles. When she was born, Elsie already had an older brother names Orson Roan Laren. They always fought, and Orson frequently made fun of Elsie and called her a nerd.
That all changed when Charlie David Laren, a little baby boy, was added to the equasion. Now that Charlie was the constant center of attention, Orson and Elsie joined together and found a common interest in the hatred of Charlie. They often plotted of unrealistic ways to get rid of him, like sending him to the moon in a rocket ship, but never tried to harm him.
That friendship didn't last long, though. On the night of her eleventh birthday, someone from Hogwarts came to inform Elsie's parents that she was indeed a witch. The family was amazed, and switched their attention right to Elsie. She didn't bask in it like Charlie, though-- she hated it. All of these gifts and 'coochie coochie coo!' just got on her nerves. Still, the situation changed and Charlie and Orson turned on Elsie.
Later on, they found out that Charlie was also a wizard. Now it's his year to come to Hogwarts as a first year too, and Elsie is dreading it!
