The Outer Layer
Physical Appearance;
hair- Saffy's hair is a dark brown color, is wavy, and runs just past her shoulders. She usually wears it down and loose, but doesn't mind tightly pulled back pony tails, or just a simple clip holding back the bangs on one side.
eyes- Saffron wears contacts, so her eye color changes from day to day. Sometimes she wears green tinted contacts, sometimes blue, grey and even Zebra print. She's really all over the place.
clothing- Saffron can usually be seen in anything that she likes. As long as it's flattering, trendy, and has a color that appeals to her, then she'll wear it. She hates it when she has the same outfit on as someone else, and will die of embarrassment. Saffron also has a strict rule against wearing clothes that you bought from the store, inside that store. She thinks that it makes you look trashy, and would never be caught dead wearing American Eagle, inside American Eagle.
other features- Saff has a small gap between her two front teeth, which is pretty noticeable when she grins. She doesn't mind it that much, and thinks that it gives her face... character.

Personality; Saffron is a very complicated character. She is funny, outgoing, encouraging, kind, smiley, and quite intelligent, if I do say so myself. She does need a lot of attention, and sometimes gets in people's faces when they don't really want her to, but she doesn't care. Saffy is very spirited, free willed, and absolutely hates to be bossed around. She sticks up for anything that she believes in, and thinks it fine to spend her weekends volunteering for things. Saff does well at most things, but is a bit of a procrastinator, and doesn't really have a knack for getting things done- homework in particular. She slacks off a lot, but always seems to slide right under the rules.
She is very fun, outgoing, and carefree. She is a real party girl, but doesn't really enjoy drugs or any of that really bad stuff. She has attended many parties in the past, but never lets things spin out of control to the extent where people start getting hurt. Saffy can go crazy with the bottle, and it takes very little to get her drunk, because she is quite light weight for her height, but she always has control of herself. Even when she is drunk, Saffron has too much of an inside conscience to let anything get to her
On the other hand, Saffron is very emotional. All those sad SPCA commercials on TV, with their moving music and whining pups, can make her cry in her bedroom for hours on end. She's extremely empathetic, which is good to an extent. Saffy sometimes zooms into depression, and won't come out of her room for days. She just spends so much time being extra happy and smiley to others, that she runs out of happiness and just ends up focusing on the bad. She used to be a cutter, but stopped that when her father found her with the Exacto- Knife, when they had to give her dog away because of agression problems. She really loved that dog, and though you may think it's stupid to be so emotional over one little pet, she still gets teary about it, even though it's been six years.
The Past
History; Saffron Kaitryn Harvey was born to Shane Harvey and Anda Wishari, both muggles, in Indonesia on August 18th. Her father was visiting Indonesia because he had graduated from High School, and wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life. He spent the next six years there, where he met his future wife. The maternal side of her family were all Indonesian, and of the higher class. When she was two, Saffron's grandfather lost his job, and her family went spiraling into poverty. Because of that, Shane and Anda moved to England, where Shane had been born and raised.
When she was five, Saffron's mother and father divorced. It hit her really hard, and she hated both of her parents for a while. After about three months, she started to accept it, and willingly went to her mother's for one week, and then her father's for another. On and on the program went, and she hated it, though she grew to learn that she really had no choice. Saffron learned the boundaries- How one parent would innocently ask how the other was doing, but it really meant so much more. Never before had she been forced to figure anything out for herself, but luckily she learned quickly.
When she was seven, Saff got her first dog. It was a Chihuahua, and she loved it a lot, until it got attached to her father. The Chihuahua started to ignore Saffron, and only paid attention to Shane, which was natural but again, Saffy hated it. When she was nine, she got another dog, who attached to her. They were best friends, but he showed a lot of aggression towards her friends and other dogs. So they had to give him back to the animal shelter. It really broke her heart, and as stupid as it is to care so much about some mutt, she was never the same.
Now, she's in her sixth year at Hogwarts, and she feels like it's the only place where she's not "the weird one".
