I wanna hold em' like they do in Texas plays, Fold em' let em' hit me, raise it, baby stay with me, Luck and intuition play the cards with spades to start, And after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart It felt like the summer just started for Dominique. In a few short weeks school would be back and it would be her last year at Hogwarts. However she didn’t want to think about school now. She has never been the brightest student and wished that she had the heart to study. But it just wasn’t in her. Charms came natural and she was just barely passing Transfiguration. Everything else she was just okay with. Quidditch and just all the time she spent with friends took up most of her time at Hogwarts. Probably if she wasn’t so social she would actually spend some time in the library and get some work done. Yet Dominique still had to go to Diagon Alley today and find things for school.
Getting to the Alley proved to be not a problem at all. She left a letter at home saying where she was going and that she should be back by dinner. Or she might not be back that early if she met up with a friend. Her parents knew that shouldn’t worry. Well her father might since she was daddy’s little girl after all. But they already went through Victoire and graduation and her leaving home. So hopefully it wouldn’t be that much different this time around with Dominique.
Diagon Alley was packed like it is usually every day during the summer. No matter when Domi was here people were always bumping into each other and tripping. Even when she came here late at night just to get away from the house for a bit there were still people. Yet since today was actually a nice day and not raining it was extra crowded. Some guys starred at Dominique as she walked through the crowd. Veela charm and she only had like an eighth or something in her blood. Somehow it still affected guys. And sometimes she couldn’t tell if they liked her personality or looks. Most of the time it was for her looks.
All the shops looked tempting. Clothes, jewelry, ice cream or Quidditch? The clothes looked especially good since she might need some new things for school. Yet those could wait. Dominique would window shop for now and make a mental note of everything she wanted. The Hufflepuff noticed people from school but not many from her own house. She knew students from every house because surprisingly she had cousins in every house. Or at least some were in every house. As she window shopped Domi paid no attention to where she was going. She was a bit of a klutz. And she soon felt herself falling from tripping over someone’s foot. Yet she caught herself quickly before she managed to hit the ground. Dominique looked around quickly hoping no one saw that almost accident. Her fall would have made more accidents happen.

Ally walked through the Leaky Caldrun, no one turning to look at her face. It was a bit of a relef that not very many people were gluing there eyes to her. It seemed like if anyone went into this place, at least five faces would look up at you till you left the room to go to the streets of Diagon Alley. OF course it was about as close of a mall that the wizards had in England. There were many in places like Italy or America but no not in her country, of course. Ally loved the Leaky Caldrun and Diagon Alley area ever since her mother, Cho, had taken there when she was a baby. Ally didn't remember much of that but had been told about what had happend then. She had been told that she had grabbed everything in sight and when she was old promised that she would be on the Gryffindor Quittich team, to her fauther. Her mother of course would say Ravenclaw was the way to go.
Crossing the bar, Alley opened into a sort of closet area where she pulled out her wand and taped on bricks till they alligned and opend up onto a shopping area. Packed, as per usual. It never would suprise her, even though school was a few month away, that people were already buying wands, brooms, and books. Ally was sorta sad that this year was going to be her last. Seventh year sucks. Though most people didn't agree, she loved the school, even the evil teachers that romed the hallways.
Ally started looking at all the shop windows. Some lined with books or the next hottest wizard fashion. Pets and brooms were purched and looked at by rich first years. Ally remembered back when she had bought her owl, Mally. A medium sized gray one with nothing to great happening with it, just a bird.
Ally noticed a girl that was, maybe, in the same grade as her. Ally never could actually remember who was in what house or year. Gryffindors got mixed with Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws with Slytherins. Walking over to the girl Ally said, Hey whats up? She always loved to see what people would say to that. Some didn't even reply sometimes it was sup, nothing much, or the usual ...

I wanna hold em' like they do in Texas plays, Fold em' let em' hit me, raise it, baby stay with me, Luck and intuition play the cards with spades to start, And after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart So it seemed that not many people saw Dominique’s almost fall. Sure some little kids saw the usual 5 foot 5 inch girl suddenly come down to their height but then she was just as quickly standing up straight. Since she has always been a klutz; she has learned to catch herself. So she could be somewhat graceful at times. When Domi did take a good look around, she did notice that some younger students were pointing in her direction. Being herself she flashed them a bright smile and kept on walking.
Then out of nowhere someone was talking to her. Dominique turned to the girl who seemed to be her age. This girl has the personality to probably be in Hufflepuff with her. Yet Domi never noticed her in her own house before. So maybe Gryffindor or Ravenclaw? She didn’t think Slytherin since none of them were ever this friendly to her. “Hey. You know the usual. Trying not to get trampled in Diagon Alley. Proving to be quiet a task today.” Dominique joked with the girl. She has always loved to talk so when someone decided to start a conversation with her it was a good day. “How about you?”
Dominique has always loved to talk. Talking to anyone and everyone. In school she loved meeting new people and striking up a conversation with just about anyone. Yet she wasn’t that talkative in class. School smarts wasn’t something she was great out. Except in charms. Domi loved charms and was probably one of the best in her class. Well that was what she thought. So now Dominique was interested in how this girl was going to respond. Maybe she wasn’t really this friendly but just liked to see people’s reactions. Maybe she never got a response like Domi just gave her.
