Lots of things had changed as far as the blond was concerned from being a princess to entrepreneur was a change for Serena Delaney. Leaving Greece behind had been one of the hardest things she had to do and hated it even now. Not that she didn’t get use to London but it was just so dreary compared to Athens. Being a Beauxbatons graduate she still held onto some of the idealism that she was perfect. There weren’t to many pureblooded families left in Greece and she was a part of one of them. The Delaney name had always been rather large. Even though her parents were divorced that only made her more appealing to others. Fore she was a spoiled little rich girl that had vengeance running through her blood. Her childhood had been screwed up and she was happy not to have any contact with her mother and that side of the family. But in the end even her father had disappointed her. It was almost ten years since he told her she had to move out or get married. Naturally she was still single to busy with her bar to get into a relationship. That and she didn’t think she had found someone yet that suited her. So for nearly eight years the bar had been hers.
Going from a barmaid to owning one was different. Serena found herself in the back in her office more and more. It was like she never saw the lights or the excitement that her bar exuded. Which often made her sad but she had more important things to do in the back. Over the years she had acquired a good staff that kept her happy. In the middle of the day the bar was empty and there wasn’t much to do. Since this place was more or less her second home she stayed there most evenings till dawn. Serena didn’t believe in sleep there were better things that she could be doing. A sigh fell through her lips as she gathered up some papers off her mahogany desk and headed out to the bar. For some reason her office was far to stuffy and even though it was large she felt suddenly claustrophobic. The girls tall heels clicked on the marble tile as she picked a bar stool. Naturally she would be the only one here till much later. Most of her staff wouldn’t show up till at least six. It didn’t bother her though, she usually would be here till four in the morning and would do it all again the next day. Really Delaney needed a life.
Her off colored eyes scanned the pages and she rested her head down on them. It was almost to much being here all day. But there wasn’t much else for her to do so she sucked it up. After all it was fun and this was her only obligations. It was nice only having the bar, having money from her father helped her out and the money she got from the bar made it even sweeter. Smoothing down the black silk fabric of her high wasted skirt she lifted her head up. She might as well finish up her work and get it over and done with. Serena always dressed up for work. Her high wasted skirt met a thick black belt high about her actual waist line and hit a silk white button up shirt that was neatly tucked in. As always her long flowing blond hair waved around her like a halo. Halo, right. Serena was far from innocent but she liked to pretend for the most part. It was around two now and she still had a lot of work to do. When she heard a light tap on the door she whipped around to see who was there.
