Pushing each sheet aside after she quickly wrote down her signature, “Do I need to sign all of these?” The young woman asked and arched a eyebrow at her assistant. Jobs like this where rather bothersome at times, all this work, all the meetings, all the important appearances she had to make by the Minister’s side, you rarely ever got a change to sit on your seat. Clara Louise Grant was a woman of many talents, the former Slytherin who was known throughout the wizarding world and their was no denying that she was highly respected and thought of. Great responsibility came with her job as did territory. She’s been the head of the department for quite a few years, two and a half to be exact.
“Yes miss. There isn’t much more to go.” Biting down on her tongue, Clara stared at the man who was now looking absolutely terrified knowing he’d done something wrong. “Not much left?” The sound of her voice was cold and crispy, “If there isn’t much left then why don’t you finish the rest Stanley? Here take them and get out of my sight. Forge my signature for all I care!” Clara said shoving the papers into the young man's hands and ordering him to leave.
Why today? Why did it have to be so stressful and like usual, dull and boring? Trailing her fingers through her long flowing brown hair, she sat on her desk and lifted the daily prophet looking at the latest gossip. There wasn’t much in it that had grasped Clara’s attention so just as she pushed herself onto her feet she heard a wrap and then a familiar voice. Calisto Baker’s voice, her secretary. “Miss, you’ve got the rest of the day off.” Her sing song voice filled her ears, far too sweet for her liking.
Now Diagon Alley wasn’t her favourite place to be but she was planning on having the day to herself, so she may as well use it wisely and shop! Walking down the street she fixed her uncomfortable tight black dress, it was more of her work attire but she didn’t exactly have enough time to change so her clothing would have to do for the mean time. Passing the many shop’s on the high street, she took a glance through the windows absentmindedly and just to her luck, she caught sight of stunning dress in the shop window of Madam Malkin‘s. “Fantastic” The mumble escaped her lips as a smirk crept along them and she entered the shop.
“I want the dress on display. Quickly.” Pushing passed the group of costumers she made her demand and tapped her french manicured nails against the counter. She hadn’t had time to play the silly waiting game, she wanted the dress now and that meant she would get in now.

Lilly walked around diagon alley, she knew what she needed. Robes and the place to get them Madam Malkins. She sighed. She had going shopping for robes, she was too pickey. She looked up at the shop window for a few seconds. She needed to gain her courage for this. Wherever she seemed to go to get robes the shop workers seemed to always loose their patience with her over it.
She spent half her day winding up the shop assistant, trying on different robes and picking out things she didn't like. Eventually she found the perfect one. She did a twirl in the mirror before taking it off and getting into the que. She had been waiting ages before she pretty much reached the front. Just as she was about to put her stuff down another woman pushed to the front. "Hey" she shouted. Bit loud lilly she said to herself. She looked at the woman and noticed she work at the ministry. "Excuse me... i was before you" Lilly said politely wondering if the woman would even give her the time of day.

How long was this woman expecting her to wait? The shop assistant seemed terrified by the sudden demand but that was her problem, not Clara’s. “I want the dark green dress, with the diamond stitching.” Pursing her lips together, she cocked an eyebrow at the woman, continuing to wait as she just stared at her. “Is there something on my face?” Her tone was snappy and her patience was running thin. Leaning over the counter she smirked cunningly, “Well go on, be the good little shop assistant and fetch me what I asked for.”
“Hey”
Hearing the random outburst, Clara’s eyebrows knitted together as she turned her head slowly to the direction of the noise. There was many people in the queue and the majority of them seemed to cower as she glared at every single one of them but then her bright blue eyes landed on a girl, no older than fourteen. Was it her who had the courage to speak up? Was it her who was the first to speak out while the other adults remained silent in fright? Clara Grant had the power to lock anyone up in Azkaban with the click of her two fingers, she was among the Ministry Officials and she had the power to do almost anything, she guessed that was why people stepped aside but this little girl didn’t seem to understand what respect meant.
"Excuse me... i was before you"
That had to be the most amusing thing she had heard all day. Grinning slyly at the girl, Clara pushed a strand of brown hair out of her steel blue eyes. “Yes, I noticed. Although, do you see all the other women who ‘where’ before me, they where also before you.” She stared directly at the girl and for some reason she wasn’t being as mean or cold as she usually was. Clara liked this girl, she had courage. She was either incredibly smart or incredibly foolish either way, she had spunk. “What is it that you where planning on purchasing?” The witch asked in curiosity.
Signalling the girl to come closer, Clara turned her head towards the shop assistant “Wait there.”

Lilly looked at the woman,it seemed everyone else who was qued up in the shop was cowering before the woman, and there Lilly was being her usuall self. She looked at the woman, and then at the que. She couldnt care less if she had pushed infront of all the others, but she was so irratated to wait for a little longer as this woman got served. Lilly looked at the woman, wondering why she wanted to know what she was buying. "Just these robes" she said showing her hands full of robes.
She hesitated at coming closer, but wondered why she did, it was just some woman from the ministry after all. She took a few steps closer and looked at the woman, she seemed to be beautiful, though she had a cold voice Lilly could sense something about the woman, perhaps she liked Lilly? She didn't want to ask, she was more curious about why the woman wanted her to come closer.

"Just these robes"
Looking at the robes, Clara laughed ever so lightly in amusement. “So you waited in this queue just to buy those?” Well that was somewhat interesting. Clara had been jumping queue’s like these since she was ten and then she learned how to ignore the ranting people. What the hell could they do to her for jumping a queue? Absolutely nothing. That was why it became a habit of hers and it seems that the habit had stuck with her throughout her teen years. “Well if you’re so impatient. Go ahead, no one’s stopping you.” She told the girl, still maintaining her smirk.
“You seem very familiar to me. Actually, you remind me of someone who I was very fond of when I was younger.”…Not so much now though. Frowning at the thought, Clara glanced at the girl before pushing her black handbag over her shoulder. “Excuse me if this would be a wrong inquiry but would you be Potter’s child.” The girl didn’t exactly look like a Potter. If she had ever came across Potter’s child, she would’ve expected a red head, green eyed child but she was a brunette with brown eyes. Genes where strange had she always stated.
Clara sighed before lifting out her purse and paying for her dress, “Keep the change.” She stated with a small nod. Turning towards the girl, she smiled for only a moment, “You’ve got courage kid, unlike the rest of these cowards.” Clara laughed before making her exit out of the crowded shop.

Lilly had been waiting for the woman to recognize her, it was true she didn't have the red hair of the weaslys or the green eyes of her dad. She looked more like the dad more than anyone, that was why she was so easily spotted as a potter. "Yes i waited to buys these" she said, "and yes i am im Lilly" she said introducing her self... at least sort of.
She put her stuff on the counter, and watched as the woman paid for hers. This woman had said she had courage, and Lilly was proud. She did have courage, although she wasn't put in Gryffindor at school, she wondered why, perhaps it was her sly personality that had forced her into Slytherin, not that she cared, she prefered to be differant, and too see her parents face's it made her laugh. She watched the woman leave and paid for her things.
She took them and left the shop half wondering what to do now, and half wondering what the woman was up too. Not that she cared too much she was bored, she looked accros the road at a bench and placed her things on there and sat down. Stressful day over, she thought to herself, she wasn't going to go back home yet. She preferd to stay out later than usuall it scared the life out of her parents.
