Slipping on the simple summer dress, Danielle quickly hurried around her room searching for her white shoes impatiently. “Where the hell could I have put them?” She asked herself, biting her bottom lip in frustration. For a girl who was so ‘put together’, you’d think she’d have her belongings slightly more organized. Tugging on her soft girls, Dani gazed softly at her younger sibling. “If you find those shoes, I’ll give you five galleons?” Violet didn’t look too pleased with her proposal, almost as if she was pressuring Danielle to raise the small reward, “Ten?” Oh come on, if she refused to find them for that price then she’d just have to call her mother to find them and then she’d save herself ten bloody galleons. “Done!”
It didn’t take Violet too long to find her pumps but even Dani couldn’t help but be incredibly suspicious of her sister who claimed to have found the shoes in her wardrobe but Danielle was no simpleton and strangely enough, that was the first place she looked for her missing shoes. ‘Oh well, I’ve got them now.’ That was all the blonde haired witch thought about as a bright, beaming smile was painted upon her lips and her bright blue eyes gleamed in delight which made a rather stunning impact on her facial features.
“Dad I’m heading off to Diagon Alley, I’ll be back later. ‘Kay?” The sixteen year old girl questioned her father with a soft expression, there was no point of begging or whining, those tactic’s where what she thrived on a few years ago but not so much now considering she is reaching the stage where she can be considered as a young adult, thankfully. “Okay kiddo,”
Flooing her way to Diagon Alley, Danielle couldn’t have been more delighted to see so much familiar faces surrounding the cobbled street. Stopping every now and then to converse with a few witches and wizards, it would seem that Dani had maintained her stunning bright smile that reminded her of the smiles the muggle advertisers wear on television, which was a great deal for the witch who had a very short attention span and who‘s smile could drop just as quickly as it appeared.
Entering the Leaky Cauldron, Danielle immediately felt too over dressed for the occasion and she could almost sense all the eyes on her. Slowly approaching the counter, the witch pushed a piece of blonde hair from her beaming eyes and ordered a butter beer. Paying for her drink, she carried it over to a table in the corner and drank silently by herself hoping to Merlin that someone of interest would join her in her time of need.

Somehow, Cooper's mother managed to drag him to Diagon Alley. She claimed he needed new robes for school. As much as Coop would like to complain about it, he didn't mind spending time with his mum. He got to do muggle things with her, like see movies, which was one of his favourite things to do. So, the first part of the day wasn't bad. His mother dragged him to Madam Malkin's and had him fitted for new robes, even though his old ones fit him just fine. He wouldn't dare protest against his mother, not unless he wanted his ear boxed off.
Luckily, his mother got distracted by some of her witch friends. Coop smiled, and found it strange how his mother, a muggle, fit it so well with the witches. Gossiping was what they were doing - him mother definitely knew how to do that. Coop whispered to his mum that he was going to get a quick drink at the Leaky across the street. First, she had to show him off - tell them all how handsome he was and blah, blah, blah. Really embarrassing but, Cooper just flashed a grin to charm them all. With a nod to the ladies, Cooper made his escape.
Entering the Leaky, Cooper stuck his hands in his jeans. He sported just a pair of old blue jeans, and a black and gray striped t-shirt. Nothing fancy. Just simple, that's the way he liked to dress most of the time. At the bar, Cooper tired to order a nice mug of mead but, the bar tender seemed to just know he was under age. Dejectedly, Coop ordered a butter beer instead. He didn't mind the drink but, he preferred the strong stuff. The type of drink that would put hair on your chest - not that he didn't have it already.
Coop paid for his drink, and sat at the bar. He leaned back, sipping his drink and looked around. He noticed that a few wizards had their eyes on someone. Cooper followed their gazes, curious as to what it was. A smirk flashed on his face as his brown eyes came to rest on a hot little blond. Cooper sighed to himself, and decided to put on the flirtatious act. Oh, what the hell, he thought to himself. Taking his drink with him, Cooper casually approached the girl's table. Once closer, he recognized her from Hogwarts - not sure on the name. He had to get better with names one of these days, or else he could get himself into some trouble with the ladies. "Mind if I join you?" he asked, laying on his charming smirk the girls seemed to like.

Just as she was about to finish off her finish of her bottle of butter beer a voice broke the silence that surrounded her. If she were to be honest, she’d say she felt as if their was a charm surrounding her that made men and women stare but not exactly approach her. A shame in her opinion considering she thought of herself as a friendly girl. Anyway, back to the voice.
"Mind if I join you?"
Those steel blue eyes found the stranger’s feet first and then they finally worked their way up to his face, it was a habit that had grown on her over the years. Why should women only judge a man by his facial appearance, there where plenty of things a man could make up for if he wasn’t exactly stunning in the facial department; he could have clothing sense, nice build, good personality and that was the reason why she just didn’t gaze at a man’s face first. However, constantly people accuse her of checking others out but that wouldn’t be entirely true. Would it?
Crossing one slender leg over the other, Danielle was more than impressed by the appearance of the boy. He was hot! It wasn’t every day and gorgeous guy comes over to ask very politely, could he join you. Returning his stunning smirk, Dani nodded her head ever so slightly, “Sure.” Holding her bottle of butter beer firmly in her left hand, the witch used her right hand to push a strand of blonde hair from her eyes. What was his name? She defiantly knew it, she knew everyone for crying out loud. “You’re…Cooper, aren’t you?” Merlin, she would be absolutely mortified if she was mistaken.

Cooper wished he would have met this girl much earlier in the summer. She was down right gorgeous. Coop thought she definitely would have made some fine summer arm candy, not too mention a few other things. He had to bite his tongue for a brief second - teenage hormones were about to control his brain. Every time that happened, he said something stupid and blew any sort of chance he had with a girl.
Cooper made eye contact with her while he said down across from her. Merlin, were her eyes beautiful. A shade of blue he hadn't come across before. A cocky grin spread on his face as she said his name. "The one and only," he said. Shit, he thought. If she knew his name - he had to know hers, right? Cooper began to wonder if they had met before. Hogwarts? This girl looked like she might belong there. Why didn't he know her then?
He had to think of a clever way for her to tell him her name. Cooper leaned forward, staring into those blue eyes of hers for a few beats. "So, you know my name, but - I don't know yours," he said with a smooth voice. Cooper really hoped that he wasn't suppose to know her name - other wise he might as well just slap himself and leave - because he usually got slapped for not knowing a girl's name when he should.

"The one and only,"
A familiar smile appeared on her lips as he spoke. He was cocky and confident something she had always seemed to be attracted to. A little cockiness couldn’t hurt anyone and confidence was just a thing she found attractive in a guy. Lifting her bottle of butter beer, Danielle slowly brought the rim of the bottle to her lips and she allowed the liquid to enter her mouth. Butter beer wasn’t her favourite drink, she preferred the strong stuff but on a day like this she wasn’t taking the risk of getting herself drunk after one too many firewhiskeys.
"So, you know my name, but - I don't know yours,"
Well one thing was certain, he was pro on the playing field when it came to girls, she could already sense it by his drop dead gorgeous face, perfect smile and the confidence that streamed in the tone of his voice. “Oh crap, sorry for not introducing myself. I’m Danielle Wood but you people usually call me Dani for short.” A light laugh escaped her glossed lips. Leaning forward also, she tilted her head to the side ever so slightly, “You know, you don’t have to be embarrassed because I know your name and you’ve failed to acquire mine. I’m a gossip writer for Hogwarts monthly so I know quite a lot of names.” Hey, if they where going to accompany each other, they may as well get comfortable.
“So what has you here Cooper?” Raising an eyebrow out of curiosity, she maintained her smile and continued making eye contact with the Gryffindor. Danielle had never talked to the boy up until now and she cursed herself silently for not doing so before as she had so many chances.

Cooper's fingers twitched on his bottle as he watched her take a drink. He wished he was that bottle touching her lips. Hormones could be annoying at times. Guys didn't always want to think about that but, it happens. There isn't much one can do about that either, except shake it away as much as possible. At least enough as not to say anything stupid.
Cooper smiled at her name. Now he knew her. She was that Ravenclaw girl that always wrote about people..gossip girlie stuff. Things Cooper just didn't understand most of the time. Daringly, Coop reached forward and took her hand. Gently, he pulled it toward him and lightly kissed the top of it before putting it down again. That little move was something he picked up from watching movies. It wasn't something that would rot his brain, as his mum put it. He was learning things - like smooth, old school moves like that.
Coop tilted his head back slightly and chuckled. "Me? Embarrassed? Oh, it would take a lot more than that to cause me embarrassment, Danielle," he said. He was one of those kinds that didn't embarrass easily. He usually put himself out there and did silly things. He could care less if anything seemed embarrassing.
He took a sip of his butter beer before answering her next question. Most girls found it "cute and adorable" when he told them he was spending time with his mum. So, he hoped Danielle thought the same. "Oh, just out with me Mum," he said with a slight shrug. "She's out jabbering with her friends. It could be awhile before she's ready to go," he said with a slight grin. Cooper just hoped his mother wouldn't burst in a spoil his possible hook up...er, date.

As she swallowed the liquid, she locked eyes with him once again. The boy was such a pretty sight, if she had the opportunity she’d stare at him as long as possible just admiring his masculine beauty. Chewing on her bottom lip she attempted to restrain any foolish words escaping her lips, the last thing she wanted was for the boy to clear off because she said something like, ‘I think we’ve known each other for awhile know so I think I can say, your lips are so bloody tempting.’ Yes that was a fact, since Cooper had joined her at the table she had caught herself staring at his lips a little too long and far too many times.
Cooper’s actions where completely unexpected on Danielle’s behalf. Watching the boy take hold of her hand, his lips make contact with it for only a moment before he placed it back on the table again. Was it just her or was it getting slightly warm? Feeling the blood rush to her cheeks, Dani grinned like an idiot. Not in all her lifetime had anyone ever made those actions towards her but it felt nice to have a boy stare into your eyes instead of staring at her chest. It was just nice to know that he was giving her that sort of respect. “You must do this all the time.” She laughed lightly, hoping that her cheeks where adjusting to their natural colour.
"Me? Embarrassed? Oh, it would take a lot more than that to cause me embarrassment, Danielle,"
Licking her bottom lip, she still couldn’t wipe the smile from her lips, “I’ll keep that in mind then.” Unlike him, Danielle could be easily embarrassed by something so simple however, that didn’t mean she wasn’t confident or anything. Actually come to think of it, Dani was probably one of the most confident girls around although people just didn’t take much notice of it.
."Oh, just out with me Mum,”
That was indeed incredibly cute from Danielle’s point of view and she was pretty sure every other girl would think so too. “Mummy’s boy,” The witch teased him playfully as a chuckle escaped from her lips. “Well if your Mum does take awhile, I’ll keep you company if you want because I’ve only just arrived and I have nothing better to do. I enjoy the company so hopefully your Mum does take her time.” Throwing a small hint that she’d like to spend some time with Cooper, she just hoped he’d like to spend some time with her too. It could be fun.

Cooper smirked at the effect his little mood had on Danielle. It was just the type of reaction he had been looking for. She looked awfully cute when she blushed, and Coop was pretty sure he would do that to her a few more times before they parted. He intended on making that happen. All the time? Shoot, Cooper really did do that all the time. It was like a trademark thing for him to do. He gave her a smoldering look before he answered, "Only to the girls that make my heart race - which, isn't often." Boy, was that lie.
Cooper frowned and crossed his arms. "Am not!" he protested - though it was true. He was sort of a "mummy's boy". "She just insisted on getting me new Hogwarts robes for some reason," he said with a slight eye roll. Coop grinned, picking up on Danielle's suttle hint. "Trust me, it'll be awhile. Me mum is a chatterbox. Plus, if she can't find me, she'll just go home. She knows I'll be home later." Cooper was rather glad at the moment that his parents weren't strict. Just as long as he was home by midnight, the sort of turned him loose, and trusted him enough not to doing anything stupid. Of course, if he was a minute late his freedom would go bye-bye.

"Only to the girls that make my heart race - which, isn't often.”
Staring directly at her bottle of butter beer, Danielle tried to distract her mind from Cooper momentarily until her flaming cheeks resumed to their previous colour. However his next comment didn’t help whatsoever. Bringing her eyes to meet his, she smiled lightly “You’re pretty good with words, aren’t you?” Lifting her bottle one more time, Danielle took another swift drink of the liquid and then pushed it to the side. Finished. Twisting a finger around a loose blonde curl, Dani’s blue eyes gazed around the pub curiously, wondering if she could spot any other familiar faces.
"Am not!"
Laughing at his stubbornness, “Whatever you say.” Still chuckling lightly under her breath as she pushed herself to her feet Dani lifted her handbag and then turned to Coop, “Considering your mum will probably go home without you and you have nothing better to do; you can come with me.” Where exactly was she going? Danielle herself didn’t have the answer to that particular question. A walk perhaps? Yeah probably. Straightening out her dress and tying to look half decent, the witch smiled to herself realizing this day could get a hell of a lot better.
Slowly walking to the exit of the pub, Danielle turned to gaze back at Cooper with a cheeky grin plastered upon her lips, “You coming Cooper?”

It grew increasingly difficult for Cooper to keep in a wide, cocky grin. By the red colour of her cheeks, his words had done the job. Hook, line, and sinker. Mentally, Cooper hi-fived himself for a job well done. Coop grinned at Danielle's words. "Love, I am good with words, and a whole lot more," he said with a cocky smirk. Things like this usually is when he go himself in trouble - in a situation he didn't want to be in. This time, however, he rather liked his situation - just as long as it didn't involve an angry father with a wand - he was good. Older brothers? Boyfriends? Nah, he wasn't afraid of those - he could always out run them, or out smart them. Usually it was the latter, or both.
Cooper tilted his head and stared at her for a moment. That tables had just turned. It seemed he had control of things, and it was funny how easily a girl could just change that. Being pretty positive his mum wouldn't mind, Cooper wasted no time getting out of the booth. "Yes, love," he said. Coop had a habit of calling girls "love". It was just something that he did. The girls didn't seem to mind it so, he continued to do it.
With a grin, Cooper walked over and joined Danielle. Moving forward, he opened the door for her - nodding his head. "After you," he said all gentleman like.

"Love, I am good with words, and a whole lot more,"
What was her response to that except laughing? Were his words always this flirty? Most likely. “I’m sure you are.” A smirk appeared on her lips, it was almost a seductive smirk. Everything about him was so bloody alluring and attractive, Danielle was most defiantly attracted to him which made her want him and surprisingly, she always got what she wanted. Was that so wrong? Not in her books in wasn’t.
Honestly, it felt good to be in control…momentarily. However, Cooper might believe he is in control and has been since he took his seating but wasn’t it always the women who were in control. Danielle had controlled everything from the start although she just wasn’t making it as obvious as he was. Wasn’t she the one who allowed him to sit with her? Wasn’t it her choice to speak to him? “Good. Then we can get going?” The witch suggested flashing him her beaming smile as she stared into his brown eyes.
Carefully watching Cooper’s actions, anyone would’ve smiled if a boy opened the door for them and Cooper was in luck as DanI already had a smile placed upon her lips. Moving towards the door, she stopped just as she stood beside the boy. Leaning forward as to kiss him, their lips where only inches apart when Danielle’s lips parted and she spoke, “Your such a gentleman.” Her smile turned into a smirk as she stepped out of the leaky cauldron onto a street of London.
Ooc; Sorry for the crappy post, I’m momentarily lacking muse -_-;

Cooper briefly thought about how this turned out. The fact that he had no clue where they were going didn't bother him. He was with an attractive girl - one he wouldn't mind spending the rest of the night with. No matter which angle he looked at it, or her rather, Cooper rather liked the situation he was in, and hoped it stayed that way for the rest of the day.
Coop chuckled at Danielle's impatience. He simpley nodded his head. He was glad she was smiling - either a result of his comments, or gestures. Either way, he was just happy he could make her smile. He was taken surprise by their sudden short distance. For a brief moment, he thought she was going to kiss him Then, rememebered that sometimes girls liked to be mean and act as if they are going to kiss you, get really close, and just say something and leave a poor guy hanging. Sure enough, that's what Danielle did. Cooper only smirked, and gave her a little nod, "I try to be." He waited until she was through before fully exiting the pub right behind her.
Once out on the street, he offered her is arm - a gentlemanly thing to do. It was a habit Cooper couldn't escape. Mummy dearest wanted her little boy to be the perfect gentleman. So, that's how he was - it was how his mother and father raised him. Now, it all was natural for him to do these things for a girl. It didn't matter what age they were, he was the type that would hold a door open for them or carry a heavy bag. "So," he said to break the silence. "Where are we going?"
ooc; it's okays. mines that way too.
