people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan walked Diagon Alley with absolutely nothing on her mind. It had been empty ever since the school term had ended. She was somewhat greatful for the blankness that surounded her mind, because it gave her time to relax instead of worry about finals coming up. She was excited to finally start her summer.
Summer was one of her favorite times of year only because she didn't have to spend hours craming information about magic into her head. Not that she was complaining. She loved to learn about different potions and spells, but towards the end of the year, she was just ready for that freedom summer gave her.
A spookey alley was empty but she wasn't too frightened. As she walked the streets, she saw an old vacated building with it's front door slightly ajar catching her attention, so she wandered to it. She wasn't stupid, so she pulled out her wand and entered the dark old building with caution. "Hello?" she said warily, opening the creeky door slightly more so she could fit inside. She sincerly hoped nothing odd was inside this old abandoned building, and her mind told her not to go down there. But her curiosity overruled her mind, and she kept going inside. After a few steps, she said "Lumus." and tried to see more clearly if anything was inside. TAGGED ! openLYRICS ! lollipop framing hanleywords! idkOUTFIT ! hereCREDIT ! YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTALBERTCOLE NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT Albert Scorpio Cole walked through Diagon Alley with his hands in his pockets and looked around at the area, taking in how empty it was with most people away for the summer. It was almost an eerie feeling seeing the normally busy alley void of students, professors and other wizards walking around and peering into shop windows for something of interest. Of course, in high-sight, he wasn't totally alone since the shopkeepers were always there tending to their shops and there was the ocassional wizard or two walking by since students were most likely at the beaches with their families. Albert had never really liked the beach much; there were too many people running around acting foolish and all of them muggles for the most part. He never really found muggle life fascinating and liked to avoid them as much as possible. It was because of that, he often stayed at home through the summer months and rarely left the large Cole Manor in upper England. While he never left home, getting there was another story since he would only return home in order to visit with his family for a few weeks before shipping off back to Hogwarts.
He liked the school and he was most comfortable in its dungeons. Most other students would find that odd...other than his housemates, anyway. The cold, damp and dark dungeons had not only been his home for the last six, going on seven, years now but were also his place where he could study in quiet and his entire family line had been Slytherins since as far back as he cared to remember. Albert had been told many times by both teachers and fellow students that the library was the ideal place to study since all of the books were in the same room and he wouldn't have to walk back and forth from the Common Room and the library for the books he needed. However, he detested the library due to the large numbers of other students there and would much rather walk back and forth then be forced to sit in a crowded room. He wasn't anti-social and could be rather sociable when the situation called for it, though most of the time he kept to himself and only spoke when necessary. This made him be seen as mysterious and quiet by other students, especially his housemates but it was how he liked to go about life - quietly. He had few close friends because of this, but found a way to prevent making too many enemies. Of course, there were those that would see him as an arrogant Slytherin pureblood that didn't care for anyone but himself and in some ways, that was true. However, he wasn't too much of an arrogant bastard as to totally ignore people altogether, despite what his father said.
As he headed further down the empty alleyway, he came across an open door on a vacant-looking old building with a young girl looking inside. He couldn't make out who she was from the back, since with most people he could - especially girls. He had no problem placing girls from their behinds since, for the most part, he had seen it naked at one point in time, but this girl was different. Either that or she had gone through many changes since he last saw her and he slowly cocked an eyebrow as he watched her for a moment before casually walking over and standing next to the door.
"Excuse me," he asked with furrowed brows as he looked at the young woman peering into the darkness, "looking for something? Or simply curious about strange, dark buildings?" He then crossed his arms as he stood in the empty alley looking at her as he waited for some sort of explanation. It wasn't like she was obligated to give him one. He wasn't a professor, prefect, adult or any kind of Ministry authority, but it wasn't often that he saw random people looking into dark places just for the heck of it. Experience had taught Albert long ago that curiosity, not only at the school but in general around the wizarding world, could definitely kill the cat - in which instance the cat was the curious student.

people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan was not paying any attention to what was coming from behind her, and she didn't notice the footsteps that approached her from behind. She called out to see if anything was inside of the dark dungeon, and there was no response. Until a man's voice came from no where, making her jump and almost scream. She calmed herself before realizing it wasn't one of her professors, so she didn't have to worry about one of them catching her. But she didn't know who it was, which made her nervous.
When she turned around, her hand was on her chest willing her heart to slow down."I--" was all she could manage before she saw him. Wow. She thought at his good looks. She cleared her throat. "I saw the door opened, and I wondered what exactly was inside." The guy looked too young to be an adult yet, so she wondered what he was doing lurking around Diagon Alley by himself--and why he was scaring girls that we also alone. "Why are you here?" She hoped she didn't sound rude, she was just wondering what he was doing coming up to someone in the middle of the night and scaring someone. "And who are you?"
She stopped herself from asking yet another question and put her wand's light out. She placed it inside of her shorts behind her back and crossed her arms, waiting for him to explain himself.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTALBERTCOLE NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT It wasn't difficult for Albert to tell that he had startled her. She had jumped and turned back to face him with her hand on her chest. Her heart had to be pounding with the scare she had just received. As he looked at her, he couldn't place her name or house so he deducted that he hadn't met her before, though had no idea why he hadn't. She was gorgeous! Her long, blonde hair, soft complexion and almond-shaped blue eyes were something that Albert found impossible to ignore, and took a breath slowly as he looked her over for a moment before his gaze rested back in her eyes. "I saw the door opened, and I wondered what exactly was inside." He nodded at her explanation, figuring her to be a very curious student since any other would have passed by rather than look inside. It was her next question that made him smirk.
"Why are you here?" Aside from smirking slightly he felt like laughing, though suppressed the urge and answered her question with a calm voice, "I could ask you the same thing. I was just passing by on my way to the Leaky Couldron and back to the muggle world. The only reason I stopped was I saw you and wondered what you were doing looking in there since...it's obvious you are not an adventurer but haven't seen you around school either. I know you aren't in my house." He raised an eyebrow at his last statement as if to ask what house she belonged to and was about to do so when she asked another question, and instead he just let it go for the time being. It wasn't all that important anyway. "And who are you?" He uncrossed his arms and extended a hand toward her to shake, "I am Albert Cole. Seventh year and Slytherin. I haven't seen you around much. I'm sure I'd remember someone as beautiful as you. You are?"
He cocked an eyebrow once again, curious as to who she was and why he hadn't had the pleasure of speaking with her yet. He blamed it on the fact he had spent the past year studying for N.E.W.T.s and would more than likely do so again this coming year. people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan noticed that the handsome guy looked her up and down and resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She answered why she was entering the old building and then asked the same of him. "I'm a Slytherin and I was on my way to the common room to go to bed. The only reason I stopped was I saw you and wondered what you were doing down here since...it's obvious you are not in my house." She should've guessed that he was a Slytherin by his too-good looks and his cocky smile.
She completely ignored his intended question as to what house she was in and instead asked who he was. Albert Cole, seventh year, full of charm wasn't fooling her when he gave her a compliment. She just smiled and headed inside the creepy place. "Raegan Reed." she answered as she walked into the darkness of the first room. Her wand was in her hand and she repeated Lumus so that light was cast out from her wand.
She half expected Albert to keep going to wherever he was planning to go to in the first place without a second look her way, which wouldn't bother her at all. But the other half suspected he would follow her and question her more about who she was. Raegan almost wanted him to, just so she wouldn't be alone in the creepy abandoned place by herself without knowing what exactly was in it's presence.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTALBERTCOLE NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT She managed to completely ignore the fact that he didn't know what house she was in, so that remained a mystery, though she did reveal her name. After all, it would have been rude not to. "Raegan Reed.". That was a pretty name and unique and after hearing it, Albert was sure that he had heard mention of it before during his time at school. As his mind searched for where he knew her name from, he watched as she turned around and walked back into the darkness beyond the open door. Part of him wanted to just move on and leave her be. In fact, on any other ocassion, that is what he would have probably done but Raegan intruiged him. She was a complete mystery at the moment, which was odd considering that it was usually him that was the mysterious one. All he knew was her name and that she was curious as well as beautiful other than that, he knew nothing about her. At least not yet, though he had a feeling he knew her from somewhere.
Against his better judgement, he sighed and shook his head before following her into the darkness. He took out his own ebony and ivory wand, encrested with emeralds and two silver seprents circling the wand from the base to the tip. It had been a custom wand made just for him and his father had a hand in ensuring it was of the highest quality. It was a lasting reminder of how badly Albert's father wanted him to be great, though truthfully, Albert wasn't sure what he wanted right now other than to finish school. He muttered, "Lumos."
as he moved into what turned out to be a dark hallway catching up with Raegan. "So, Raegan, do you often explore dark buildings by yourself or is this a new thing?" It may have come across as rude, but Albert merely wanted to start conversation. It would not only pass the time, but also help him to learn more about this mysterious blonde-headed, blue-eyed bombshell named Raegan. He held his wand out in front of him a bit in order to get a better look around the hallway as he kept with her, making his way deeper into the darkness. people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan entered the creepy old building with her wand in front of her and the Lumus charm helped her see more clearly. The room she first entered lookd dusty like it had been abandoned for years with no one even attempting to claim what was left behind. She heard footsteps coming from behind her and mentally thanked him for following her so she wouldn't have to be alone. He repeated the Lumus charm which made the darkness fade away to light a little better.
Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, so she sighed. Albert asked "So, Raegan, do you often explore dark buildings by yourself or is this a new thing?" and she laughed. "I don't often do it, but when curiosity strikes, I usually follow to where it leads." She walked towards a door on her left and opened it with uncertainty. When it was fully opened, she walked inside. "Do you often follow girls into old buildings?" she said with a teasing laugh.
Since nothing was of interest in the second room she entered, she exited and went back to where Albert was standing. "So are you a seventh year this coming term, or did you just graduate?" she wondered. He looked old enough to be graduated, but she wasn't sure.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTALBERTCOLE NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT It was the classic old and abandoned building on the inside and the combined light from each of their wands made this an easy thing to see. For the most part, it was dusty and full of cobwebs with furniture and some other interesting items sitting around long forgotten by time. The floorboards creaked beneath Albert's feet as he followed Raegan further into the building seriously not wanting the floor to give way under their combined weight and send them into a basement, cavern or God-only-knows what else underneath the house. It wouldn't have surprised him in the least if there was something out of the ordinary beneath the old building, but he wasn't one for being the adventurous type and was only following Raegan to appease his curiosity about her. "I don't often do it, but when curiosity strikes, I usually follow to where it leads." He stopped to look at a picture hanging on the wall, covered in cobwebs and dust though the image of a girl running through a meadow was still visible. After looking at the picture a moment, he turned to her and replied, "Well curiosity is a double-edged sword, Raegan. In some instances, you can find interesting things of value or historical signifigance while in other instances, the secrets you find may not be so rewarding."
He didn't want to sound like a pessimist, but it was true, especially in the magical world where anything was, quite literally, possible. Sometimes the risk was not worth the reward and it was all up to the witch or wizard exploring. "Do you often follow girls into old buildings?" Albert smirked and shook his head at her question and rested a hand on his hip walking away from the picture on the wall and toward the door she had walked into, stopping in the center of the doorway, looking in at her as she explored yet another boring room. "Nope. I've followed girls into many places, but old, dark, creaking buldings are a place I have never followed after one. You're the first."
Seeing nothing of interest nor immediate threat to Raegan, Albert turned back around and walked across the room and down a short hallway adjascent from the doorway and looked at a gold statue of a horse on a short, black chest of drawers. "So are you a seventh year this coming term, or did you just graduate?" Only when Raegan had spoke up again, having left the room and come over to him while his back was turned though he had heard her coming closer due to the creaking floors, did he turn around to face her. His blue eyes met hers and he smiled a bit as he responded, "I'm a seventh year this coming term. What about yourself? What year are you?" She looked nearly as old as he was, but he wasn't sure. Some girls looked older than they really were while others appeared younger. It was all in their facial structure and how good their skin was and Raegan, from appearance, had some very smooth and delicate skin.

people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan was becoming less interested in the old dusty building ever second. The only things it held were worn down furniture and old pictures of faceless people. She explained her curiosity, and his response was "Well curiosity is a double-edged sword, Raegan. In some instances, you can find interesting things of value or historical signifigance while in other instances, the secrets you find may not be so rewarding." She couldn't hold back a laugh. He sounded like her father telling her not to explore her grandmother's mansion because of the odd things she could find. She smiled at the memory, then walked into another room.
She asked Albert if he often followed girls into old buildings and he answered "Nope. I've followed girls into many places, but old, dark, creaking buldings are a place I have never followed after one. You're the first." She opened a door to another room and saw that the dust was thicker, and it was even more boring that the first room. "Will you be making a habit out of it?" She teased. When she turned around to leave, she saw Albert walking down a small hallway. As she walked to him, she asked if he was a returning seventh year, or if he had just graduated to which he replied with a smile "I'm a seventh year this coming term. What about yourself? What year are you?" She smiled herself and said "I'll be a seventh year as well." She looked past him down the hallway and saw nothing of interest again, she she turned around. "Ravenclaw by the way." she said answering his earlier implied question. Raegan was beginning to get bored, and put out her wand so that only Albert's was lit and the room got a little more eery.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTALBERTCOLE NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT It was her laugh that made Albert realize he was beginning to sound like an overbearing, cautious old man rather than a young, full-of-life student that would go on a limb to have a goof time. He didn't do much adventuring, but the last thing he wanted to come across as was a downer and a complete buzz-kill. On the bright side, Raegan sure did have a cute laugh and her pearly white smile was just icing on that cake. Albert had to look away and toward a random chair in the corner to prevent staring, he then started taking a closer look at the chair and realized that it was literally made from silk fabric. That was definitely a rareity and there wasn't a doubt in his head, at this point, that the old run-down building was once someone's home and not just any someone, but a very wealthy someone who could afford silk fabric on their furniture and gold knick-knacks around the house. It reminded him of his own home, though much smaller and not as clean or well lit.
As Raegan moved into another dusty, dark room, Albert waved his hand in front of his face and narrowed his eyes to prevent the dust cloud that came out from taking a toll on him. It was obvious that the room hadn't been opened it a very long time. Once she was looking inside, she responded to what he had said earlier concerning following girls into dark buildings. "Will you be making a habit out of it?" Her tone was a teasing one and Albert smirked before laughing a little, "Well....I suppose you can't decide on a second date until the first one if finished, right?" He then winked at her before running a hand through his hair as he held his wand up to a photo to look at it. It was of an older woman dressed in fine clothing and the look on her face was one of unfriendliness and anger. He was used to it, though, after seeing the pictures of his own grandmother at his house.
"I'll be a seventh year as well." She said in response to his asking what year she was. He found it odd that she was in the same year as him and he hadn't seen her before. Though this did satisfy his curiosity a bit and as she added what house she was in, it brought a smile to his face. "That's it! I thought I had seen you before in the Great Hall at the Ravenclaw table, but I wasn't too sure. Wow... I'm usually good with remembering people, but since we never really spoke, that would make sense why I wouldn't know that. But now that I do...you aren't the Mystery Raegan anymore and are now the slightly mysterious Raegan the Ravenclaw." As she extinguished the light from her wand, letting only Albert's light where they were, the room grew dark and he walked over to her so that he could see her. "It's a bit darker now. It reminds me of the dungeons back in Hogwarts....though down there, most Slytherin girls won't let me this close to them." He laughed at his own words, recalling a fifth year incident with one of his female housemates that earned him a slap to the face. It wasn't something he dwelled on often, but was a funny memory nonetheless. He then looked down at her, making eye-contact, "So tell me a bit about yourself, Raegan. You have piqued my curiosity."

people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan hadn't noticed the gold trinkets or the expensive silk chair, but only saw the dust and cobwebs of the old building. She wanted to see something more interesting than pictures of old people that were probably dead. She sighed and went searching for something more than old, musky furniture and torn pictures, but found mostly the same thing in the next room she entered. "Well....I suppose you can't decide on a second date until the first one if finished, right?" He said to her asking if he would make it a habbit of following girls into old buildings. She was confused for a minute, and then realized he was talking sbout them when he winked at her. "Is this your idea of a date?" she said coming out of the second room. She found him lurking by a hallway and followed to where he was.
She told him that she would also be a seventh year and that she was in Ravenclaw. "That's it! I thought I had seen you before in the Great Hall at the Ravenclaw table, but I wasn't too sure. Wow... I'm usually good with remembering people, but since we never really spoke, that would make sense why I wouldn't know that. But now that I do...you aren't the Mystery Raegan anymore and are now the slightly mysterious Raegan the Ravenclaw." Raegan was astonished that a Slytherin--a good-looking Slytherin--would remember her at all. When he called her "the Mystery Raegan" she smiled. She kind of liked that name. For once, she was speechless, and put out her light on her wand.
She heard Albert come closer to her and she looked to see where he was. "It's a bit darker now. It reminds me of the dungeons back in Hogwarts....though down there, most Slytherin girls won't let me this close to them." He laughed and she stepped closer to him. Looking up at him and smiling devilishly. "Well it's a good thing I'm not a Slytherin then, isn't it?" She turned on her heal and walked over to the chair Albert had just admired and said. "What is there to tell?" She honestly didn't know what she would tell him; her life wasn't an interesting one. Either she was at Hogwarts studying, or, since it was sumer, she was at home with her muggle friends. She could tell him about her party-girl side, but she doubted he would even care. So she turned the question around on him. "Why don't you give me an example. Tell me something about yourself."

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTALBERTCOLE NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT He marveled at more of the furniture and what-nots around the room, admiring his reflection in an old mirror on the wall. Though it was covered with dust and cobwebs, it's gold trim was still visible and a reflection could easily be made out. Through the reflection on the mirror, he watched as Raegan moved into yet another room and he turned around and made his way over to the door, sticking his left hand into his pocket and leaning against the door casing as he shined his light into the room a little to better illuminate one side of it while her light lit up the other side, though he could tell right away there was nothing of interest in there. "Is this your idea of a date?" He chuckled a bit and shook his head, "Not really, though I'd love to show you what my idea of a date is sometime. I assure you it is much more exciting than prowling around an old house." It was a subtle way of asking a girl out, though he found it a better approach than just coming out and asking like most other guys. It wasn't his style and besides; his way of asking her went along with the topic at hand better. Apparently, the room was of no interest to her either and she made her way out of it and he moved into the hallway and was sure to hold his wand straight up to allow the most light possible in the dark hallway which seemed to be even colder and mysterious than the rest of the house.
She laughed at his calling her "Mystery Raegan" and, once again, he was smiling back at her. He couldn't help himself and had a knack for making girls smile. Albert took pride in it and, often more times than not, he would make them giggle or blush and then he would know he was doing something right. Truth be told, it wouldn't bother him at all if Raegan were to do something similar, though he wouldn't try too hard to push her into doing so. She extinguished her light and after he had come closer to her, she stepped even closer to him with a grin on her face. Albert held his breath a little, not really knowing what she was going to do by moving so close to him. "Well it's a good thing I'm not a Slytherin then, isn't it?" He smirked down at her, but she turned away before he could do anything and he chuckled once again. "I'm glad you aren't one, though...you'd make a good one in some ways." She walked over to the elegant chair in the corner and he walked over with her to allow some light so that she could better see it and, to his surprise, she turned his question about wanting to know more about her completely around on him. "Why don't you give me an example. Tell me something about yourself."
"Well, the tables have turned," he laughed and then nodded before taking a breath, thinking for a moment, not wanting to tell her too much about his family - namely his father. At least, not yet. "Let's see....aside from being a seventh year in school and having scored high marks on my O.W.L.s, I come from a very wealthy family built on centuries of tradition. My family prides itself on legacy and, being the only child - a son, I have the duty of running my family when my father passes away or hands over the title of 'Patriarch' over to me. It's a long, complicated story, but my family was once one of the most respected and feared in all of the wizarding world....but that all changed about twenty-five years ago or something like that. Now we aren't as prominent as we once were." He had given her enough, but not devulged everything. He wanted to see how much he could find out about her and how she would handle small pieces of further information at a time before telling her the entire story since it was rather dark and, at times, even scary. "Other than the family history lesson, I enjoy fishing, swimming, flying, swordsmanship, chocolate and long, romantic walks on the beach." He laughed at his last line, since it was tossed in to sound cliche, though he wouldn't mind a romantic walk on the beach with her. "Okay, that's my story. Let's hear something about you, then?"

people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan looked around the dusty old house to find things of interest. She was hoping that maybe she could find something of value, but her eyes hadn't found anything yet. Especially not in the second room she entered. The old furniture was worn down and used so much that it had tears in the fabric. It looked to have been a decent chair, but with all of the dust and tears it looked wretched. "Not really, though I'd love to show you what my idea of a date is sometime. I assure you it is much more exciting than prowling around an old house." He said answering her question as to whether this was his idea of a date. She causght his hint at taking her out and smiled. The last time Raegan went out with a guy, it was a complete disaster. He showed up thirty minutes late, they missed their reservations at a resteraunt that she had been dying to go to, and his car broke down on the way home. She had told him it was alright, and she called her mum to come pick them up. Her mum told her "That's what you get for going on a date with a muggle." They had gotten into an argument, and Raegan swore off all muggles from then on.
"And what is your idea of a date?" she asked, walking back to the first room where she saw him standing in a hallway. There she saw the same things she had in the first two rooms. Nothing of interest. She put out her wand and walked to where Albert was standing. Even though it was a little darker than before, she could still see him well enough that she didn't necissarily need her wand. "I'm glad you aren't one, though...you'd make a good one in some ways." She walked to the chair Albert had earlier been admiring and sat in it. "I don't know whether to take that as an insult or a compliment." she said with a slight smile.
He asked her to tell him something about herself and she twisted it so that he would have to go first. "Well, the tables have turned." she laughed and listened as he gave her a history lesson on his life. He was born into money, no surprise, and he was an only child, again, no surprise. She could tell just by the way he stood that he had family money, and his straight forward personality made her already believe that he had no siblings. Then he included more personal information on himself like fishing, swimming, and flying. Raegan couldn't help but laugh at his last "like" of romantic walks on the beach. "Would that be flying as in brooms, or flying as in airplanes?" she asked smiling because she loved both. She stood up and wondered around more, touching a few trinkets here and there, pondering about what she would tell him. "Well, I am not rich with money, but my family gets along alright. I have no siblings, like you, but i grew up going to muggle schools. My parents both have muggle jobs, but are pureblood. I honestly don't know why they choose to have muggle jobs, but don't like me dating one." She laughed more at her parents nonsense than what she had said, and sighed. "I also like flying, bot on a broom and in a plane. But I've never been fishing before. I like reading, and hunting." She remembered the first time she had gone hunting with her father. She told him it was wrong to kill animals for fun, but he explained rationally that if we didn't kill some of them, they would get overpopulated. She agreed and watched him take the lives of two deer and one elk. She told him that it was her turn, so he gave her a lesson on how to properly use a gun. She listened and learned, and as she waited, she hoped a big one would come out of hiding. Sure enough, an eight point came out from their left and she fired, shooting it right under the ear, killing him instantly. After that, she went hunting every season with her father.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTALBERTCOLE NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT Albert watched her as she looked around the old place, though it wasn't very interesting to him. He had seen all of the same type of expensive, decorative furniture before and the fact that it was covered in dust, cobwebs and dirt really didn't add to the grandeur of it all. He sighed as he finally shook his head looking around the area in disappointment, not really wanting to spend any more time in there and only doing so in order to speak with Raegan more. If she hadn't been so interesting or attractive, he would have already walked out of there by now. As she came out of the room, he turned to look at her and her following question made him smile. "And what is your idea of a date?" He didn't really have to think hard on that at all since experience took over quickly. Albert had been on quite a few dates and they were often with the usual pureblood, wealthy, aristocratic type of girls that his father had been pushing for him to marry. According to his dad, blood purity and wealth as well as determination to be the best often made the best couplings in the wizarding world. It was just another way for the family to re-establish its legacy, but Albert wanted to marry someone that he actually was interested in rather than someone his father pushed on him. Though the girls he met were beautiful and wealthy, most of them lacked any depth of personality and through a wonderful dinner at an expensive restaurant, he often called it quits.
"Well," he began as he stepped forward to get a better look at her, "dinner would be the ideal first date. A nice, quiet dinner over candlelight with a polite and knowledgable waiter or waitress at one of the finest restaurants in France. After that, a quiet walk along the river with only the stars and your beautiful smile to illuminate the night would just be the perfect first outing." It may have sounded a bit Shakespearean with his wording, but the truth was that he had never taken a girl to France before and had been thinking of what the date might entail the entire time he had been in the old, boring house with Raegan. With their closeness, the building suddenly became less boring and he smiled at her response to him saying that she'd have made a good Slytherin. "I don't know whether to take that as an insult or a compliment." With a slight chuckle, he nodded in understanding how someone may take it as an insult, though he didn't mean it that way. "You should take it as a compliment. As a Slytherin girl, you'd not only be used to old dark places like this, but I would also be able to see you more often and I would have no problem with that. Who knows? You and I might have even been study partners....if you were Slytherin, that is."
As she sat in the silk chair, Albert walked over toward her, leaning against the wall, looking over at her as he stuck a hand into his pocket and furrowed his brows at her question concerning how he liked to fly: "Would that be flying as in brooms, or flying as in airplanes?" He had meant brooms, and had only flown in an airplane once in his entire life. His parents would normally apparate with him where they wished to go or would fly there when he was younger and now he could apparate, so airplanes were rather obsolete. "I meant brooms. Muggle transportation never really suited me and I usually either fly on a broomstick or apparate anywhere I need to go." He shrugged and then proceeded to listen to her explain a bit about herself. She wasn't wealthy like him, which was a given and she was an only child. Aside from that, what facinated Albert was that she had spent time in the muggle world. The Cole family were not even known to muggles and Albert had grown to avoid them for the most part. His mother was the only one that ever had contact with them and that was when she went to London. She was also a pureblood and that made him smile. At least now he knew that if she did agree to go on a date with him and it went well, that his father would come closer to approving of her. "Dating a muggle?" He cocked an eyebrow. He had never heard of such a thing and was a tad curious, "I have to admit that I am curious how you would do that? I have never dated muggles...or even anything short of a pureblood actually. It's part of my family tradition. Pureblooded all the way. I know it's odd, but it's a very old tradition and I'm not going to risk being disowned for violating it." Her other hobbies interested him, namely hunting since he never had the need to do so with his family being so well off, though his father had once gone quail hunting with another wizard. His father's words were: "biggest waste of time of my life". "Hunting and airplane flying? Well...you sure do get around more than I do, Raegan. I have to admit, I'm a bit envious."
He then pushed himself off the wall and held his hand out to her, "I think I've had enough of this old, dingy building for a lifetime. Care to join me in walking outside for fresh air?" A smile came to his face as he, truly, not only wanted fresh air but also to hold her hand if only for just a moment.

people change and promises are broken clouds can move and skies will be wide open Raegan smiled to him and asked him what his idea of a date was and watched as he walked towards her. Her heart beat quickened for some reason and she cleared her throat to try to calm herself nonchalantly. "Well, dinner would be the ideal first date. A nice, quiet dinner over candlelight with a polite and knowledgable waiter or waitress at one of the finest restaurants in France. After that, a quiet walk along the river with only the stars and your beautiful smile to illuminate the night would just be the perfect first outing." she smiled the whole time he talked and imagined herself in France, somewhere she had always wanted to go, on a date with Albert. She bit her lip and looked at the ground. She had just realized that he had gotten her to talk more with him than she did with anyone she had ever met before. She looked back up at him and said "That sounds like the perfect date." and smiled. "I've always wanted to go to France, but I've never had the chance...or money." she laughed and walked to the chair Albert had looked at earlier.
She told him that she didn't know whether to take his suggestion that she would be a good Slytherin as an insult or compliment and he walked over to the wall near ner and leaned against it, putting one hand in his pocket and said "You should take it as a compliment. As a Slytherin girl, you'd not only be used to old dark places like this, but I would also be able to see you more often and I would have no problem with that. Who knows? You and I might have even been study partners....if you were Slytherin, that is." She laughed and said "Who says I'm not used to old, dark places like this? And why couldn't we be study partners?" she wondered if he was the type of person that didn't exchange a second glance with someone outside of his house. He didn't seem like it now, but at Hogwarts, he could change. It had happened before, but she just forgot about it.
They exchanged information about themselves and she asked him if he liked to fly brooms or airplanes. "I meant brooms. Muggle transportation never really suited me and I usually either fly on a broomstick or apparate anywhere I need to go." She laughed because she meant flying an airplane as in actually flying it himself, but she didn't think he knew that. "Makes sense..." she said muffling her laugh to talk. She then told him about how her parents didn't want her dating a muggle, but had muggle jobs. She bit her lip again when he talked. "I have to admit that I am curious how you would do that? I have never dated muggles...or even anything short of a pureblood actually. It's part of my family tradition. Pureblooded all the way. I know it's odd, but it's a very old tradition and I'm not going to risk being disowned for violating it... Hunting and airplane flying? Well...you sure do get around more than I do, Raegan. I have to admit, I'm a bit envious." She smiled and looked up at him. "Maybe I could take you sometime?" she bit her lip again and smiled when he pushed himself off of the wall to walk towards her.
Her heart started racing again and she took a deep breath in to help calm herself. He held out his hand for her's and said "I think I've had enough of this old, dingy building for a lifetime. Care to join me in walking outside for fresh air?" she took his hand and nodded. "Some fresh air would be good after being in this dusty old place." She walked towards the front door of the old building still holding his hand and biting her lip.
