Oh this was not good. This was not good at all. Scowling at her stupidity, Addison D'eath looked around, searching for any indication to get out of this bleeding place. When she had walked down into Knockturn Alley, Addie's only intention was to check out the divination shop a little bit down the way. She had heard about the zany little store from a friend, and had figured she had nothing better to do with her afternoon. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, late August with the sun beaming above, and just enough of a breeze to wick away any uncomfortable heat. Addison had wanted to get out of the house for a little, and had decided a little adventure would do her good. However, after finding out that the Madame at the divination shop was nothing more then a cheap fake, Addison had left the store and found herself hopelessly turned around.
The young witch assumed it was one of the numerous protection charms cast around the dodgy market place, to avoid ministry officials and police from becoming too familiar with the black market going ons, and she was sure that anyone who was even slightly acquainted with the shops in the area would have no trouble navigating. However, this was Addison's first trip in Knockturn Alley, and her stomach churned at the thought of asking any of the street side vendors for assistance. A cloaked man was leering at her with a toothless grin that set Addison on edge, and across the square a haggard witch was eying her with an expression that was none too pleasant.
It was obvious that Addison didn't belong down her, and taking a breath to steady herself she turned sharply, hoping desperately that if she continued in one steady direction she'd find the exit back into the more welcoming Diagon Alley. This plan probably would have worked splendidly, if Addison hadn't caught the toe of her shoe in the cobblestone and sprawled into a rather tall figure. Clutching onto the man to retain what was left of her balance without thinking, Addison hurried let go once she had realized what she had done. Oh Merlin, was she screwed now. Risking a glance up into the man's face she attempted a smile. "Sorry about that.."
