Kiera Hayze literally lived for the summer time. Growing up mostly in London, she had expririenced her fair share of snowy winters, but nothing would ever compare to summer. School had been out for a few weeks and Kiera couldn't have been more delighted. She hadn't seen any of her friends in weeks, but everything was fine because Kiera knew that soon enough all of that lost time would be made up for and forgotten. It was Kiera's time, time to be alone. But truth be told, not even Kiera herself could deny that she missed Hogwarts, all of her friends, and everything that came with it.

More specifically, she missed a boy named Albus Potter even though she would never admit it. Albus and Kiera had been friends since their first year of Hogwarts, even though they weren't in the same house. Over the years they had just gotten along so well.... 'No. I can't.' Kiera thought to herself when Albus's name had drifted through her head. It seemed as if the blonde had developed... Er. A little crush? Crush was hardly the word Kiera would use, but then again she was barely past denial of the whole thing. Other than her very best friend, Aria, Kiera perferred to hang out with guys. It was just a natural tendency. Besides, Kiera reminded had herself over and over again, Albus has a girfriend. 'Girlfriend' what an ugly word that was, thought Kiera as it rang through her head repeatedly.

'Albus has a girlfriend...' Maybe if she just thought it enough times, it would finally click and she could get over this stupid... Whatever it was. Though she would never intentionally sabatouge a relationship, Kiera knew-though she didn't admit it- a girlfriend would do absolutely nothing to stop her from persuing Albus, ifshe chose to do so. Her mind wasn't quite made up about that yet. Actually, while in Hogsmede she was supposed to be meeting Albus... Where was he? Kiera wondered, while resisting the overcoming urge to pace. With a resigned sigh she took a seat outside of the Three Broomsticks on an old rickety bench, letting her mind fully drift off to somewhere else.

Now, normally Kiera Hannah Hayze did not sit around wallowing in indecision and a touch of self pity. Nor did she ever plot on taking a boyfriend from another seventeen year old girl. Carter. Albus's girlfriend. One of the only things that stood between Kiera and happiness. Or something like that. Really, all of it just made Kiera's head hurt and suddenly she wished things could go back to the way they'd been a month ago, carefree and simple. But they couldn't. Kiera had finally come to terms with her feelings for Albus, though she hadn't exactly placed a name on them yet, and Carter had her baby. Yes, Kiera heard about that. And all it did was make Kiera's decision a little harder. Irritation overcame Kiera, and she craned her neck to find Albus. Where could he possibly be?! At that moment, Kiera wasn't sure of really anything besides the fact that summer certainly wasn't going the way she had hoped.

[albus]

Albus had no idea what he was doing. He decided to stay back another year and was planning that yet again. He didn't want to leave Carter in school alone. Of course some of his guy friends couldn't see why he was planning to fail on purpose to be held back. He didn't care what he thought he wanted to be with Carter inside the school and not out side of the school to be worried about her all the time. Espeically now that the ministry had been taken over by Bellatrix Lestrange. Yes he had heard about that and he wasn't completely happy about it either! He had made a mental note to go see Bellatrix Lestrange on his own but then he thought of Carter and she wouldn't be happy!

He was lying on his bed in his home. Wishing it was not summer and that he was still at school with Carter instead of being here in his room thinking about her. He needed a distraction and he knew it. He hadn't realized that he had fallen asleep and the next thing he knew his pet was waking up. He looked at the time. "Shoot! I'm late thanks pal!" he said told his pet dog who had licked him to death to get up. He wiped his face to be free of slober and took a dog leash! "Taking Jazz for a walk!" he yelled and walked out of the door.

He walked out the door. In his exercising pants and a blue t-hirt. When he got to the Three Broomsticks he tied up his dog outside and walked into the shop! He walked inside and looked around and saw Kiera Hayze. He walked over to where she was sitting. "Sorry I'm late! I fell asleep. But my dog Jazz woke me up!" he said for a moment. "How is your summer doing?" he asked her for a moment.
