The night was cold and dark as the winds howled without any mercy for the fool who dared to go outside but luckily Sam wasn't that fool and she could hear a loud howl from the distance and wondered what unfortunate soul met his fate this night but thanked the stars that it wasn't her.
She looked around on this now deserted and empty hallway on the second floor and knew that she was breaking rules but it didn't matter that much because she needed to see the stars, she needed that comfort. She didn't want summer to come ,she didn't want to go back to the orphanage where she was an outcast by all others with the exception of Thomas.
She felt lost at hog warts and she felt even more lost at the orphanage without Thomas around and her heart ached for the strangest reason , she had these needs of being near him ,to be able to hear his stupid laugh again but she couldn't understand why but here she was ,forcing her tears away for some stupid human need that she couldn't suppress for some reason.
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears as she thought of the good old days with Thomas ,where he would give her random things as they were young. Her favorite was when he gave her his mothers locket that she still kept today ,under her shirt it was hidden from the world, her fingers were wrapped around the locket as she pulled it out and admired the beautiful locket."Thomas ..where are you ? why did you leave me ? why ? "her voice trembled with sadness as she looked up at the sky.
Her long blond hair was a bit tousled as she had run her hands trough it so many times this day from various reasons.She didn't know where her oldest friend were , she didn't feel at ease in this school and she certainly didn't feel at home at the orphanage.She twirled some of her hair around her finger as she stared at the night-sky, wishing she could be like the stars that painted the sky with its glimmering beauty.

Sullivan had troubles with sleeping this night, she was wide awake and had no idea how to get back to sleep. Something kept her awake tonight. She didn`t know what it was. But she had noticed that one of the girls in her dorm had gotten up and left the room. Sullivan had noticed that Samuel, or Sam as they call her, snook her way out of there. Sullivan was curious on what she was up to and why she was awake as well. So Sullivan got out of bed,got dressed and decided to stalk her.
She walked quietly over the floor and to the door, her wand was with her. She walked down the stairs to the common room and took if from there to follow Samuel. Sullivan was hiding behind walls to not be noticed by her. Sullivan grinned a bit as she continued to follow her.
As Samuel stopped in the second floor, Sullivan listened to her as she started to talk to herself, mentioning a name, a boy`s name, Thomas. Sullivan wondered who that Thomas guy was. She sighed and then walked up to Samuel. " Hey..who is that Thomas guy you are missing ?" Sullivan asked her straight out and looked at her.
" You okey Sam?" Sullivan asked her and stopped next to her, looking at Sam. She looked pretty hurt and sad. " You want a hug ?" Sullivan asked her and smiled a little.

Sam sighed heavily and wondered why she was feeling so attached to Thomas , was it because he often shared his meals with her or was it because he was always there when she needed him.She nibbled on her lower-lip and wondered when the hell he had become such an important person to her .
She was so lost in her thoughts of the past and the present that she had no idea that a curious little ravenclaw had followed her to the second floor. Damn troublesome boy ..why have you messed me up like this , why does it feel like i cant breathe without him ? why do i feel like I'm acting in the same manner all those bothersome girls do. damn it why cant i be without his pestering nagging, his silly little comments of me not eating enough .. why do i miss his hen-mothering.
The window was large and she could see the sky so clearly from it but it only left her wanting her Thomas with her but she knew that he couldn't be here with her right now.He was sent to durmstrang when she was accepted into hogwarts.It broke her heart but she knew that in the orphanage she would see him again this summer.She longed for the moment she could hear his voice again and could feel his arms around her waist, she got a twitch in her eye as she had no idea where all this was coming from.
Sam was brought out of her thoughts as she heard a soft voice in the background and her head turned to look at the owner of the voice."Sullivan brown .. I'm not surprised that you would follow me .. and as for your question .. its not something you need to know .. its merely my own thoughts said out loud and you should really not tell anyone of this " her voice was serious but lazy at the same time. "and i am not missing him " she huffed after saying it out loud.
"I'm fine .. Sullivan .. its nothing , really " she sighed heavily and bit her bottom-lip a bit nervously as she wasn't sure what Sullivan would think of this."i don't need a hug , but thank you for the offer " she spoke softly to the girl who had been one of the few that she could tolerate but of course Sullivan was as many other girls , troublesome to say.

Sullivan looked at Sam as she turned and looked back at Sullivan. " Yeah not a big surprise that its me who is following you, you make it sound like i do something like that pretty often " Sullivan said and grinned. " Aha...i see " Sullivan said and walked closer to Sam. " My lips are sealed just so you know..and i won`t mention Thomas again" she said and smiled a bit at Sam.
Sam said that she was fine, but Sullivan wasn`t sure if she was gonna believe that. " Okey..whatever you say, but i think you are a little hurt " she said and looked at her. " Okey then, no hugs.." she said and smiled a little at Sam. She took a seat next to her and looked at Sam. " You wanna talk about it..what`s going on ?" she asked her and bit her bottom lip. " Like i said i am not gonna tell anyone else what you are saying or gonna say". Sullivan just wanted to help her and see if she needed someone to talk to about things.

"no but your curious , very curious and kinda troublesome like everyone is .. and whatever ,, thanks i guess but i don't care what you do or don't do .. its too much energy wasted worrying about what others think or do " Samuel yawned lazily before taking another look up at the sky trough the window. "Sullivan , why is it that you wanted to follow me tonight , it could only lead to you getting into trouble if we get caught "
"pain or not , i am in no need of any help as you can see , I'm just in a bothersome emotional mood" she sighed and pulled her hair back behind her ears."the sky is so beautiful , i mean look at the stars , so free and lost in a dark sky "she nibbled her bottom-lip as she kept thinking of Thomas. she was worried about him , she wanted to know he was okey but she had no idea of where she could get a hold of him now.
"Sullivan , thank you for bothering to care but I'm fine , really just a bothersome mood" she said with a smile and winked at her jokingly. trying to convince the girl that she was fine , when she herself needed to be convinced more than Sullivan.

Sullivan scoffed at her. "Well its nothing wrong with being curious,most people are at this school" she said to Samuel. She sighed as Samuel was so careless about most things that could happen or had happened. But Sullivan was not gonna comment anything on that. She just looked at Samuel and listened to her speak. She crossed her arms. " Why i followed you, well you like you said, i`m curious and i was bored and i couldn`t sleep at all and when i saw you leave, i wanted to follow to see what you were up to " Sullivan said to her. "And i don`t get into trouble because i`m so damn sneaky " she said smirked.
Sullivan just looked at her. " You are in that mood almost everyday i see you, i have never seen you smile..like ever. It wouldn`t be so wrong to just smile some time, it would make you much prettier and light up your face " Sullivan told her and she meant it. It wouldn`t be that bad if she actually smiled at people. She tilted her head up and looked up at the sky and the stars. "Yeah..they truly are beautiful " Sullivan said and smiled a bit.
She looked over at Samuel and smiled some to her. " Bothersome or not, something is bothering you so much and i can`t just ignore that..i just can`t Samuel " Sullivan said and looked at her still. " You should talk about it, even though we haven`t talked that much together, i still think that you can open up to me.." she said to her. " You can trust me Sam.." she said.
