Gabriella was really in thought as she wandered along the corridor. She was reading a note in her hand. She sighed days like these in the castle were lonely either she was catching her cousin louis and the poltergist peeves racing each other for pranks and her somehow being in the middle of it drenched. Or having talks with Kale about his music he really loved his guitar. she didnt blame him he had a wonderful voice. And Noah....hhhhhhmmmmm noah she loved being with him he was so sweet and she was actually starting to like him more than a friend. Then there was bad boy derek who she loved to shamelessley flirt with to come to think about it thats all she ever hung out with is guys.
She was so caught up into everything lately she didnt have time to feel sad even being in trouble kept her from going crazy in the madhouse castle. She still did miss her family terribly though. she was thinking about what was for dinner when she saw Rose Knight a griffendor . Gabriella walked up to her "Hi Rose i'm Gabriella, Your in my cousin's house im a weasley." she rambled.

Rose walked along the third floor, thoughts running through her mind like a train on its tracks. She didn't even know why she was on this floor. The common room was upstairs on the seventh, and most of her classes weren't here. Did it really matter? She was here. Why did there have to be a reason? Rose felt despair begin to creep over her like a watchful shadow. Her last fit in the owlery hadn't been pleasant, even if it resulted in a new acquaintence. John had been so good to here. He seemed so wholesome and genuine. But "seemed" was the important word in the sentence. How did Rose know it wasn't just a mask? It could be something to lure her into a false sense of security. That thought brought a pang into her chest as the puzzle pieces that she had began to fit together came back into her mind. John Carter was assistant to Tiberius Greyback, someone she had never trusted. There was always something off about him... But before her departure, Rose's sister had mentioned Ty Greyback. She had had the feeling Bella was hiding something from her. Did Tiberius have something to do with it? And if he did, did John know anything about it? Rose couldn't help but get the feeling that Professor Greyback drove her sister off, and could possibly be trying to drive her away too. But for what reason? That was one puzzle piece still missing. Still knawing at her gut. Maybe she should confront John and ask him. He didn't seem nervous or anything when she told him who her sister was. He had said he didn't know a Bella Swan. That didn't mean anything. It could just mean he was a good actor. Although, around him, when Rose's sixth sense flared up, she only got waves of kindness. There didn't seem to be any cruelty in his heart, just a little obnoxious and snide side of him.
Rose was snapped out her thoughts when someone came up to her and introduced herself. Cousin in her house? Well, since Gabriella didn't say her last name, Rose couldn't be sure if she knew this young lady's cousin. She smiled at her, and said "Well, I guess you already know who I am. It's nice to meet you Gabriella. What's your cousin's name? Maybe I know him or her." Gabriella did say she was a Weasley. Could her cousin be Rose Weasley? Rose knew Rose from quidditch, and maybe that could be how Gabriella knew who she was. Although, Rose did have to admit that she was pleasantly surprised by how quickly and easily Gabriella introduced herself. She got a vibe that this girl was quite the friendly person.

Gabriella looked at her and said "Rose Weasley". "but i have more than one in griffendor." Rose looked like she was in deep thought about something before she interrupted her. "something on your mind rose?" Gabby asked her. Gabriella knew everybody had something on their mind these days being locked up in this castle 24 seven could drive you crazy unless you were in trouble or talking to a friend to occupy your time. Gabriella knew how that felt she missed her dad terribly. She waited on roses answer.

And of course, Rose's prediction turns out correct. Gabriella was cousin of Rose Weasley. It surprised her that she hadn't met this girl before, she looked like she was in Rose's year. Well, now that the school was on lockdown it was easier to meet people she hadn't seen around before. Gabriella had the pleasure of being the first.
Than she asked if Rose had something on her mind. Quite the loaded question She thought. "I know Rose from qudditch, yes. She's very pleasurable. I like her. And yes, I do have a bit on my mind, but I'm alright. Just a lot of things going on. Especially with the entire school locked in." She groaned on the last comment. Rose hadn't even been able to go into Hogsmeade at all recently. It was such an inconveince. It was necessary, but still a terrible inconveince. "How have things been with you? How's Rose?" Rose was always better with other people's problems than her own. So, this may even be therapuetic to her in some strange way.

Gabriella looked at rose and smiled she knew how she was feeling gabby felt the same way. She felt like the only way to survive in this castle was to be with other people even if it meant being friends with the slytherns. “I know how you feel I’ve been going crazy if it wasn’t for my cousin’s and Noah, Derek, Kale and, you I probably go mad.” She said smiling at her. She asked her how things were going with her. “well for starters I suck in herbology made my worst grade ever and my cousin Louis has pissed peeves off so bad and is now taking it out on us*sigh*. “But I haven’t talked to Rose in a while so I don’t know what’s up with her. How is the Quidditch season coming along” she asked her. She knew rose played on the Quidditch team because she use to watch them play but she took up to being by herself during the games. She wanted so badly to play Ravenclaw chaser but she didn’t get it which made her sad because it would be another distraction for her so she wouldn’t be sad it would keep her very busy plus she had practiced all summer for this position she felt she didn’t have the talent most of her family was on the team even her father.

How right Gabby was about being trapped in this castle. Rose could and may go mad, but she knew she should keep her cool. She figured after this, maybe she would go on a hunt for Maddy and yell at her about why they haven't seen each other in so long. It was downright depressing to think about all that was going on outside. The world seemed to be falling apart around them. Rose knew she wouldn't be useless in all of this, she would fight, just as she had on the night the battle broke out on the grounds. Petra Riddle had been one slight problem, but there was many more to come. And now that she thought about it, what had happened to Petra? She hadn't seen her anywhere around school, and she hadn't been hexed randomly recently. which was odd. Petra loved to do that.
Quidditch season? Wow. Rose really hadn't thought about quidditch all that much. Until now, of course. They hadn't had a game since last year, and this year there was only one practice. Maybe she could find Rose and ask if they could at least have a game so as to get everyone's mind of the inevitable impending doom. Well that had sounded quite dark. But it was the truth. "To tell you the truth, nothing has really been going on with quidditch. This season, we haven't done anything. Just one practice. I suppose with all this commotion, we won't be having a game anytime soon, but I may try to talk to your cousin about that. A nice game of quidditch might be something nice to do for everyone to get their minds off of the Death Eaters." Speaking of Death Eaters... Rose's mind flashed to Tiberius Greyback, but then to John. Hm... She really didn't think he was a Death Eater. But not everyone is as they seem. Rose would know that...

"I'm just tired of not having no access to the outside world" she said "I mean I use to look forward to my dad’s letters and from my other family, but I don't even have that to keep me preoccupied anymore" Gabriella finished. It was nice having a girl to talk to Gabby felt relieved. All she ever did was hang around boys never once has she talked to a girl. Well maybe her 2nd and 3rd year but not once this year at all. "I just wish they at least let us send owls to our family I mean when Lord Voldemort was in power people still talked to their families, so why now, I mean Bellatrix can't be as worse as he was" gabby said looking at rose waiting for her response on the matter. No Bellatrix couldn't be otherwise she would have been smart enough to wreck some havoc by now gabby thought. Gabriella didn’t see the point if Bellatrix isn’t as bad as her other master than why not let them talk to their family? Gabriella had thought about this many times but never had a solution to the problem. She sighed. [/glow] |

Gabby was right, it was a bit nerve racking that the students couldn't even talk with their families. But Rose fully understood why. She had been through all of this before, they had had similar things happen in Beauxbatons when she was there. Gabby's comment on Bellatrix just completely threw Rose off. She must not have been around for last years battle. Than, she would know that Bellatrix now was just as capable as the Dark Lord was 20 something years ago. She learned much of what she knew from him, but she did not have the weak links that Voldemort had. "They don't let us send out owls because Bellatrix and her Death Eaters will intercept them, read them, and use whatever they can against us. Whether it's plans we have to thwart them, or just your family's address, they'll use it to hurt us. And as for Bellatrix herself, were you around for the battle on the grounds last year? She started that. Myself and some of my friends were caught right in the middle of it..." Rose began to recall herself and Petra screaming at each other from across the grounds, the balls of fire hitting her, Angie, and Maddy. It had been a tiring battle, and she was never sure herself of who had won. Although it seemed that the Death Eaters escaped with more casualties than the Order of the Pheonix and their supporters. Rose, Angie, and Maddy had all walked away singed and burned badly. It had been intense. Thinking back on it made her skin feel hot, as if the fire ball had just hit her.

Gabriella looked at her. Yes she had been at Hogwarts last year but couldn't remember a battle. "Um I think i was in the hospital wing so i really don't remember a battle actually" She said to rose. "What happened?" She asked her. She was very curious about what happened even though she was in the hospital wing from getting into a duel she should have heard about the battle because when something happens at Hogwarts it travels all through the walls of the castle to every student. "Man, i thought if something this big happened that i would have know it before i left last term" she told rose.

It was surprising to hear that Gabby hadn't heard anything of last years battle on the grounds. It had been huge, and even if she had been in the hospital wing, people had been flying in and out of there, bringing in more and more wounded. Rose had spent little time there herself, only because she felt she could heal her own injuries. She had seen all the chaos, and had just left with Maddy and the two fixed themselves up quite well. Although, there had been a little help. Rose remembered faintly, hiding behind the bush, and sending out two patronuses. One to notify the headmaster, and one to warn her sister. Bella had never showed that night. Where she had been, Rose never found out. All she knew was that Bella didn't get the patronus, and didn't come to help. And now she was gone. "I'm surprised you didn't hear anything. People were going insane in the hospital wing, in and out with more wounded. It had been quite scary. Bellatrix had approached the school from the grounds with an entire army, and some of the students here had rushed out of the school to join them. Myself and two of my friends just happened to see part of it and run outside. We were the first there. We yelled to bring more people, and sent a patronus to notify Headmaster LeBlanc." Rose lifted up part of her sleeve to reveal a large oval shaped burn mark. "We got hit with plenty of fire that night. The school had even been on fire for a little while, before anyone put it out. She pulled her sleeve back down and looked at the floor. Her shoes were dirty. Rose remembered what her sneakers looked like after the battle. Full of singes and holes and dirt. Oh, the aches and pains she had for the days after. It was Rose's very first true battle against the Death Eaters, and she had been proud of herself. She tried her best to protect her friends, and her school. She had had the essence of a true Gryffindor that night. Her school... That's right. This wasn't Bella's school anymore. Now it was hers too. Hogwarts was the home Beauxbatons never was to her. How could she leave? It was then Rose made her decision to stay until she graduated. She wouldn't leave her home.

When rose explained what happen gabby was horror struck how could she have had missed this. "Was everyone okay i mean no one died did they" gabby asked hoping not to hear the worst. She wondered if any of her family had engaged in this fight. "Was any of my family out there?" Gabby asked. Gabriella felt like a nervous wreck. what if it happened again and this time she lose someone. She then thought of her one true love Alex Chaun. She would never let bellatrix live because without Alex Gabriella would want to die. Her family too was a major thing even her best friend Kellie. She thought of all the ones she loved and the ones she had lost. she promised herself that if she could she would kill bellatrix if it was the last thing she'd do.

Rose saw the look in Gabby's eyes when she told her of the events that took place. It was a look of concern, which she knew she would have had the same look if she had been in Gabby's place. She asked if there had been any fatalities, or if her family had been there. Rose knew she would have done the same thing if she hadn't been there. If she had any family left at Hogwarts. "No, there weren't any deaths thank goodness. We managed to save everyone. And to my knowledge, none of your family was out there. No worries." She smiled. Rose knew quite a few Weasley's, and was sure that none of them had been there, but she could be wrong. She had been a bit distracted, but there was one thing she knew was fact: no one had died that night.

Gabriella sighed as rose told her the good news "Wow thank goodness" Gabriella said. She was so worried that what rose was gonna tell her would be terrifying news that would shock her. Gabriella took a deep breathe. "So you were out there.....I'm just glad that no of you got hurt...i'm hoping she won't pull that stunt again here at hogwarts." Gabby said with a small laugh. "because then she'll just go down just like Voldemort." Gabby gave rose a look then continued. So what you doing for the weekend? I"m thinking about meeting my best friend and my boyfriend in Hogsmeade. Um.... if you would like to join us that would be really fun." Gabby said with an excited smile then she stood their witing for rose's answer.

Rose shared Gabby's feeling of relief that the casualities of that night had been minor, nothing too serious that couldn't be fixed. She smiled back at her newfound friend, and then Gabby asked a question Rose hadn't been expecting. Go with her to Hogsmeade? Her best friend and boyfriend? What a nice invitation! Rose was pleasently surprised, but wasn't sure whether or not she could. "Which day are you going?" Rose hoped she could go. Saturday night she was meeting John, privately of course. She had no idea whether or not a student having a relationship with a student teacher was forbidden, but she wouldn't take the risk. And anyway, she wasn't truly in a relationship with John yet... Yet. She had a feeling it was coming. But anyway she had to play it safe. And Sunday she was spending the day playing catch up with Maddy, because Maddy finally had time to.
