Diagon Alley. One of the most interesting places to go to when bored. Emily sighed as she wandered along the streets of Diagon Alley, the girl looking around in the multiple windows just for the heck of it. It was days like this when she just wanted to go hang out with her friends, but then again her friends are now all working. She wasn't entirely sure where she wanted to work, but she was pretty well off financially so there was no point in getting a job, but then again she may just get one to keep herself busy. Can't hurt, right?
The girl ran a hand through her hair and blew her bangs out of her face. Thankfully it was a relatively warm day in April so that way it would be easier to wander around in the outfit currently adorning her. She pulled her sweater closer to her as a breeze blew by and shivered lightly. She rolled her eyes in annoyance as she straightened her paisley skirt and pulled her dark sweater over the black cami.
Well this sucked. There was nothing to do! The girl sighed, walking over to the bookstore and entering the establishment. Dark eyes scanned the shelves around her and she chuckled at some of the titles, shaking her head as she looked at the books that were on sale. The sight of Gilderoy Lockhart (sorry if I spelled it wrong)'s Magical Me caused her to laugh out loud, the cashier at the register chuckling in agreement as the girl picked up the book and started flipping through it. She had heard from her mother about this book and how it was rather ridiculous. She also heard about how Mr. Lockhart had been involved with the trio of Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley and the furute Mrs. Weasley. All those weird tales her mother used to tell her about just made her curious about what Hogwarts was like before her time. She flipped through the book and started reading through some of the passages, chuckling at how stupid and self-centered Mr. Lockhart was and putting it down soon enough, going off in search of another book.
As her eyes scanned the rows of books around her, Emily felt her mind wander to the other day on the Quidditch pitch where she had that talk with Scorpius Malfoy. He wasn't as bad as she'd imagined, though she shouldn't just assume about the boy, she wasn't totally friends with him at Hogwarts. Sure, plenty of her friends were Slytherins, but that didn't mean she talked to Scorpius all the time. Emily shook her head in annoyance, why the hell was she even dwelling on that afternoon? It was nice just randomly talking to someone, but it wasn't like he was a totally awesome person in the first place. Scorpius seemed to lack the sense of fun that she possessed and it made her wonder how he was brought up as a child. She caught sight of another book-which was almost completely free and she assumed it wasn't a good one-and grabbed ahold of it. It ended up being that old biography of Albus Dumbledore written by that horrible woman way back when. Emily pulled a face and put the book back, rolling her eyes in disgust as she went back to her work, but curiosity took over and she grabbed the book again, taking a seat nearby and flipping through it for the hell of it.
