Jazzella arrived at the Owlery, not really caring where she ended up so long as it was away from Randy. After what had happened by the lake she wished she'd never have to see that sneaky bastard again. It hurt, she thought he could be the right guy for her and then he did that. She sunk to the ground near the wall of the owlery, put her hands in her hands and started to cry.

Lexi was headed to the owlery to write her sister. She smiled faintly as she climbed the steps into the open space. The owlery was one of her favorite places to be becasue of all of the birds. it usually wasnt very crowded and was the perfect escape. With her letter in hand she entered through the arched doorway. It was the middle of the afternoon and most students would be outside or studying. Expecting to be the only one there she was suprised to hear a noise apart from the usual owl's hooting and feathers rustling. It wasn't hard to locate the source of the noise. A girl in the year below Lexi was sitting almost up against the wall with her face in her hands.
Because she didn't agree with other students she had cried in the owlery more than once. Since she had been in this situation before and didn't know if she wanted to leave the girl alone or to comfort her Lexi lingered in the doorway. While the girl probably wanted reassurance she could take Lexi's words as taking advantage of the girl's vunerability.
Deciding to chance the girl being offended Lexi dropped her book bag and sat next to the girl. Lexi recognized her to be Jazzella, a slytherin fifth year she knew. "Hi... Are you alright?" she asked softly. It would end badly to startle her, but at this point in her hysteria she couldn't see Jazzella caring. If the situation was reversed she wouldn't want an older girl gawking at her or leaving her alone when she was in that state. No, Lexi did what she would have wanted done.

Jazzella looked up wiping her tears away on her sleeve. "No I'm not alright." Jazzella replied. She recognized the other girl as Lexi, a sixth year Ravenclaw she knew. She didn't know if she really wanted to talk about what had happened by the lake with anyone just yet, but it was nice to have someone ask her if she was alright. Jazzella didn't have many friends at Hogwarts.

Jazzella wiped her tears on her sleeves and said "No I'm not alright" She said. It made Lexi sad that this girl could be here all alone and know that if half of the students wouldnt take the time to try and help her. For God's sake she was a fifth year, and she deserved someone. Studentsw that discriminated against other houses made Lexi sick to her stomach. It shouldn't matter and yet people like Lexi, and apperently Jazzella wound up in the owlery alone. Lexi nodded and spoke softly "if you don't want to talk about it you dont have to." It was important to Lexi that Jazzella trusted her. "But if you do, i'm right here listening" she said with another small nod. Lexi knew that sometimes talking about things that hurt was harder than holding it.
Lexi handed Jazzella a tissue from her bag. 'poor girl' she thought. If she heard correctly, the anniversary of Jazzella's mothers' death had occurred recently. Lexi's mothers' had passed recently as well, or the anniversary of that awful bitches disappearence. Times were hard on everyone now a days, especially Lex. But she had also heard Jazzella was going out with some guy,What was his name anyways?.. Randy, his name was Randy. Maybe something had happened between them? Lexi didn't know. She sat on the hard cold floor of the owlery beside Jazzella trying to comfort her. The difficult thing about it was that Lexi, for one, was at a loss for words.

"Thank...you, Lexi." Jazzella siad her voice sounding terrible, "It's the anniversary of my mother's death and also I had a little issue with my boyfriend." Jazzella needed to talk about this and let go of her pain. Lexi seemed like the right person to talk to cause Jazz felt she could trust her.

Randy entered the owlery and spotted his girlfriend sitting on the floor with another student. Jazz looked like she was crying and he started to have second thought about what he was about to do. Then he realised he would hurt her more if he kept leading her on. "Jazzella, I have something to say and I'm just going to come right out and say it. I love you but I'm not in love with you. I've met someone else and I've started to fall for her, so i don't think it's fair on anyone if I stay in this relationship. I'm really sorry but it's over." Randy said sadly. He didn't wait for a reply and just ran out of the owlery and went and sat by the Lake.

Jazzella saw her boyfriend enter the owlery and approach them and heard him say "Jazzella, I have something to say and I'm just going to come right out and say it. I love you but I'm not in love with you. I've met someone else and I've started to fall for her, so i don't think it's fair on anyone if I stay in this relationship. I'm really sorry but it's over." She watched as he sped out of the Owlery not giving her time to respond. She was hurt by being dumped and she was also angry about how Randy had gone about dumping her. She burst int tears again.

Those were the words that came from a boy Lexi recognized to be Randy Scott, the boy Jazzella was dating. Without realizing it her jaw dropped. 'WHAT THE HELL?! she thought. It was one thing for him to break up with her, but to do it like this, and with Lexi here? that was not okay with Lexi at all. And then he was gone. Jazzella started crying, no sobbing again. Even thought she didnt know Jazzella very well, Lexi was overcome with a feeling of protectivness. How could someone say those words and then just run away?! She was disgusted. Obviously he was a coward. And a cheater no less! 'cheater' the word pushed itself into Lexi's head and she fought tears. She had been given reason to believe her own boyfriend had cheated on her, with some slut called AnaLeigh. But then she remembered why she was there. because somebody needed her. So Lexi fought the tears and hugged the crying Jazzella. Randy was long gone, probably somewhere in the forbidden forest. deep down she knew she wasn't really angry with Randy. Lexi was just tired of being disappointed in people.

Jazzella finally stopped crying. She was angry that Randy didn't have the sensitivity to realise it was a very damaging thing to do, dump her on the day that had been a very sad day for Jazzella for 9 years ever since her mum was murdered right in front of her. She knew her mum's killer was looking for her and was looking to kill her too. It was the reason her family really moved to Britian in the first place to get her to safety. She looked up to see an owl fly over to her and put its leg out for her to remove the piece of parchment off it's leg. She was still in Lexi hug but she removed herself from the hug and untied the parchment. Reading what was on the parchment, she froze and visibly paled. "He's found me." She muttered under her breath. She was terrified.
