phoenix sighed as he walked to his classroom.his black shoulder length hair was up in a pony tail. his goatee had been trimmed earlier that morning. he wore a causal outfit that included; a pair of worn out jeans with a plain black shirt, that showed the tattoo he had that went all way down his left arm and a pair of shoes.his long black cloak sweep the ground, as he got ready for his classes for the day. he had several animals for them to learn about depending on how well they would behaved with the first animal. he smiled as he hummed as he got ready. once he was finished with getting ready for his classes he smiled and and hummed as he waited for them to arrive. he had them use the same book hagrid did, the monster book of monsters.

Ara had taken the Care of Magical Creatures class a few times in her years at Hogwarts. She liked animals, even if they were big and usually frightening. And it didn't involve writing and reading as much as the other classes. Sure, they had to read the Monster Book or Monsters, but even if she could get that thing to stay still, her dyslexia would make it hard to read anyway. But she still managed to do well, and she found the professor Phoenix Vipers very interesting. If it wasn't for him, she probably wouldn't bother taking his class.
And she was always one of the first ones to arrive to class. She wasn't a teacher's pet or anything, she just hated the halls when they got crowded. It was easier just to be early, and beat the mess that the halls turn into when the Slytherin shove their way through.
"Good morning," she said as she walked in, setting her books down and smiling at Phoenix.

phoenix sighed as he looked up when he heard someone come into his classroom. he smiled a crooked smile as he said" good morning" he hadn't expected someone to come to class early. he looked at her and said" you can take your seat i'm about to feed the creature your class is going to be learning about today" he smiled as he went over to a rather large cage and opened it. he stuck his arms in and pulled out a baby hippogriff. it was very young and still small enough to hold if you were strong enough. he smiled as the baby hippogriff looked all around the room as it was held. it made a sound when phoenix put it down and set a food bowl in front of it. he smiled and stood by the baby as it ate. he sighed as he looked back up at the student who had come here early.

Ara set her things down at her seat but didn't actually sit down yet. The only reason she would come to this class early was to see what creature he was going over today. And she had to admit, she loved hippogriffs. Of course, after being in this class a few times, she'd been over hippogriffs a lot, but she didn't mind.
She walked over to him as he took out the young little hippogriff and smiled at both the creature and Phoenix. "What's his name?" she asked curiously. She'd never seen this one before. She'd never seen any hippogriff that was so young, actually. The other ones she'd learned about in class were usually adults, or almost adults.
She couldn't help but notice him sigh again. She'd heard it when she walked in, and now again after he said he would feed the little hippogriff. Ara narrowed her eyes slightly at her professor. "Why do you keep sighing? Is something wrong?"
She didn't mean to be rude or nosy, but it was in her personality to be curious, and sighing usually meant there was something wrong. Of course, it could be nothing. And even though she knew "curiosity killed the cat," she just can't help it.

Nani Vanet was clumsy, had always been clumsy, would always be clumsy. That was why she had tripped three times on her way to her Care of Magical Creatures class. To make matters worse, there had been a large crowd of Slytherins every time she fell to mock and humiliate her further. Disgruntled and upset, Nani meekly entered the Care of Magical Creatures classroom and made her way to a desk at the very back, set her books down, and laid her head on the tabletop.
She sat there for a few minutes until she heard a girl’s voice ask “Why do you keep sighing? Is something wrong?" Nani looked up, startled. She hadn’t been sighing so who was—Nani saw that voice belonged to a seventh-year Ravenclaw, Ara Regency to be precise. Although she had never actually talked to the girl, Nani thought that she must be nice, everyone said so.
Ara Regency had posed her question to the teacher, Phoenix Vipers. Now, Phoenix Vipers was an interesting teacher. He rarely wore a full set of robes, usually just a cloak. Nani thought he looked interesting and intelligent and thought that he must be a decent man because the magical creatures he showed them always seemed to love him. Speaking of magical creatures, Professor Vipers was currently feeding a baby Hippogriff. Nani smiled. The tiny winged baby was too cute for words.
