phoenix sighed as he sat at the desk and finished grading some papers from his last class.his black shoulder length hair was up in a pony tail. he wore a causal outfit that included; a pair of worn and torn jeans with a plain black shirt, that showed the tattoo he had that went all way down his left arm and a pair of shoes that were very similar to his old worn out favorite, that he wore while he was still a student here at hogwarts. his long black cloak hung by the door, as he pulled out a old sketch book of his and began to look through it. It was filled with pictures of all the magical creatures that he had ever seen and some he'd hope to see some day. his favorite sketch was one of a dragon that he sketch when his father took him to a friends house and his father's friend happen to be a dragon tamer. he hummed softly as he looked through and didn't notice someone had entered the room.

The care of magical creatures was an unusual teacher to look up to, but Sabrina found herself stumbling into his empty classroom for the third time in a week. Something about the man had drawn her to him. Perhaps it was his reserved manner, or the unique style he chose to portray through his clothing and arm’s length tattoo. Whatever the reason may be, Sabrina enjoyed spending time with Professor Vipers almost as much as she did any of the other kids at school. Her indifferent mind left her feeling at ease in only the calmest of relationships. She was too afraid to be trusting otherwise.
As she walked into the classroom Sabrina noticed that the Professor had his hair in the usual ponytail. On the rare occasion he left it down, it was nearly as long as hers. She smiled and made her way through the door cautiously, “Hello Professor Vipers, sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb your lovely humming.” She grinned playfully, hoping he wouldn’t mind her company. “I was just wondering if I could hide out in here for a bit.” She didn’t take a seat, simply stood in the doorway to see if he would invite her to do so. It was the time of the day when most students were curled up on the couch together, or busy snogging in the hallways. Sabrina detested the idea. As she had yet to find any potential boyfriends at the school, it only seemed fair that she hate anyone and everyone who was happily in a relationship.

Sabrina felt welcomed by his presence, and allowed herself to sit quietly at the head of Proffesor Phoenix’s desk in a worn out wooden chair. Though nothing in particular was bothering her she felt the need to confide in someone like him. She often did, “Oh there’s no reason in particular Proffesor. I’m just being my usual anti-social self.” She grinned and wrinkled her nose rather childishly. The man wasn’t much older than she, and yet, she looked up to him like a father. The least she could consider him was brotherly. “Anyway I got a couple of letters written out today.” Sabrina had no idea where the conversation was going, she tried to be as casual as was possible with a Hogwarts teacher. “Everyone’s been so worried about the school being on lockdown up until now.” She pulled out a parchment from her bag and continued the long list of letters. Most of them were meaningless, she had already explained things to her mother and that was all that mattered.
“Has there been any word on the kidnapped children proffesor?” Sabrina sounded genuinely worried on the subject. Thoughts of being stolen away in the night had been keeping her up for days, and it only seemed logical to look into the current investigation that the ministry had partaken in. Students were kept mostly in the dark up until the school’s reopening a couple weeks before. “My mother has been worried sick.” She smirked. That wasn’t the only reason she felt curious, but Sabrina wasn’t about to let Proffessor Vipers know.

phoenix sighed as he looked at her when she asked about the kidnapped children, then said"i'm sorry but i dont know anymore then you do. they don't tell me a thing about it. i wish i could tell you more but i only know as much as you do" he heard the worry in her voice and wish he could tell her more but he didn't know anything. " if it makes you feel any better, i'll tell you anything i can if i find out anything. would you like that?" he hated not being able to help her but he knew just as much as she did.

Sabrina wasn't surprised by his answer at all; in fact, her question had only been a way of starting a conversation with Professor Vipers. "Oh, I see." She pursed her lips and sighed, a usual exasperation that she was known to express. "Well that's alright, thank you though Professor." The two sat in awkward silence once again, and Sabrina searched for a way to solve its painful ringing in her ears. She glanced up at Phoenix, thought about asking how his personal life was, but reconsidered… Teachers weren’t allowed to discuss that kind of things with students, were they?
“Well, the school had me go do this interview for the daily prophet the other day. We all had to answer all these questions about the kidnappings, and Hogwarts being locked down.” She gulped for air and kept rambling about the interview; anything to fill the silence. “Anyway, the interview was actually pretty nice.” A cheerful grin spread across her face and tried not to grin. She recalled the young man that had interviewed her, and their dinner afterward. Jackson Harris. She doubted that the Proffesor Vipers would want to hear the whole story.
Her shoulders shrugged in an effort to ease the subject, and Sabrina glanced upward, letting her eyes wander. She bit her lip, for some reason becoming nervous. She didn’t often express particular interests she had with her professors but, “It made me want to get into writing a bit more, you know?” Like a child, she cowered back into her chair, afraid of the disapproval she saw in everyone’s faces. Writing was such a petty dream. It wouldn’t take her anywhere.
