Tucking a piece of dark, unruly hair behind her ear, the young woman gazed over the letter, disheartened. All the expectations where on her. This was her job, she loved her job but she also loved Dylan. The one man she trusted more the anyone, the father of her son, and quite frankly, the love of her life. Was she willing to give all that up for a job? The question pondered in her mind as she opened the drawer, and upon taking out two particular rings, she placed the letter into the drawer, hiding it from any other eyes apart from her own. The only thing her eyes seen now where two, very beautiful rings, one being her diamond engagement ring and the other, her wedding ring.
Yes, over the Christmas holiday’s, Selena Black became Mrs. Spencer. Had anyone been aware? No. For obvious reason’s Selena didn’t discuss much of her personal life, as far as her co-worker’s where concerned, she was a single mother who had a one night stand which resulted in Charlie. It was only a small lie, as part of it was true. If she had been so open about her personal life, maybe she wouldn’t have found herself in such a difficult situation. Although if it hadn’t been her, it would’ve been someone else.
With a sigh, Selena placed both rings on her finger before grabbing her handbag and leaving her office. They wanted him dead within forty-two hours, meaning she should’ve already plotted her attempt to kill her husband. The thought sent chills through her, but he had kept secrets from her, somewhat betrayed her. With every step she took, they became smaller until she came to an immediate halt in the atrium. She watched the passing people, all running off to return home or return to their offices. If only returning home was an opinion for Selena, but unfortunately it wasn’t. After she had received the letter, she had packed her things and took Charlie to her mother’s, without Dylan being notified. She couldn’t risk anything, especially now with a Deatheater assassin involved.
Leaning against one of the pillars, she continued to stare from afar at the people who looked stressed and worried. Selena envied even those people, who thought they had problems. It amazed her how perfect her life had been, how lucky she was before she‘d opened the envelope and read the letter. Now, she just felt lost and bewildered, uncertain of where she was going next.

Dylan had a small fight with his fiancée. Over what you ask? Over his faithfulness or maybe unfaithfulness. Selena met that kid who was always jealous that Dylan picked her up and made his fiancée. Who? Blaze Dolohov. And he told some bullshit to Selena about Dylan being with different woman everyday. And he kissed her! Dylan was mad. He knew that Selena wanted to be honest with him but he told her to go back to Blaze for another kiss and some more crap about Dylan's lovers. Fortunately they still loved each other and made up. Yet, they had son together, little Charlie. Dylan agreed to spend more time with his soon to be wife and his son. He promised to give them as much attention as their deserved. Though, he still had his business. He still had that quidditch shop on Diagon Alley. He had a six year old son with deputy headmistress of Hogwarts and he was sick at the moment so Dylan had to visit him to and take care of him from time to time. He still had his Death Eater job, many accept an order of killing to fulfill. Ah and his apprentice, Demetri Greyback to watch, and another one soon to be on his head, some young kid, Anton Moody. But he didn't hear about him for quite some time. He wondered where he was. He knew that he now worked at Hogwarts as a History of magic teacher but he didn't think he had much to do with it. And that New kid? Dylan didn’t give a damn about him yet. He ordered some house elf to keep an eye on him. Dylan just couldn't be everywhere.
But it was some kind in the past now. Yes, he still had to take care of the kid soon, teach him and all that jazz but some things had changed. Selena wasn't his fiancée anymore. Why? The answer was simple yet unbelievable. Selena Black became his wife finally. Yes, they were pronounced husband and wife now. They had little Charlie and seemed a happy family. Yet one day just ruined everything or Dylan just had a feeling it will never be the same again. He got a new to be killed list and he couldn't believe in one of the names he read. How in hell has it found itself there? How was it even possible? Dylan thought he knew his wife. Yes, he knew she worked in the Ministry of Magic but from what he knew she was there just for money. She didn't really care about the bright side, yet her name was on his list. He just couldn't believe she had betrayed him. Ho could she not tell him the truth? He would understand then because they were on good terms. But finding out like that just didn't fit his head. Selena was the only one he ever loved and now he had to kill her off because she was an infidel. He was angry, he was mad yet something told him he couldn't hurt her. But he had to, it was his job and he couldn't pass it to some other assassin under his power, no. He couldn't let anyone else kill her.
Dylan made his decision. He had to do it real quick and like she was worthless. Maybe he would forget sooner. Maybe then he would steal his son from his grandma and bring him up for a death eater. Charlie was his heir, he held a Spencer name. And so Dylan apparated to London close to the Ministry of Magic where his soon to be dead wife worked. He hid himself in the dark watching every figure passing by. He waited for Selena to show up.
