Hopefully you'll learn your lesson. You will now shovel a path to the Greenhouse without the use of magic.
Yeah, however this wasn't so bad to him. He got to miss a class for this, be outside in the snow, and he was used to this sort of thing. Although he was of pure wizarding blood, he often enjoyed doing things by hand at home. There was more value to him in the task if he actually had to work for it. However that usually only applied to things he chose to do. He had no choice in this matter, he was stuck out here until he finished thanks to his clowning in the great halls. It was just a few fireworks, no real harm done but I guess the Professors didn't find it as funny as Morgan did.
This was almost as bad as the time that he had switched his friends cauldron ingredients so that they exploded in his face, making the entire class room break out into an uproar. He was always doing this stuff for attention, but it was never because he wanted the attention. He did it because he wanted everyone else to smile, he wanted to show them that life wasn't so bad if you didn't let it get to you. Most days he felt he was successful, even if this was the reward for a lifetime of happiness. "Well at least I get to see the sun! And some fresh air." he exclaimed to himself as a group of Seventh Years walked by.
They shook their heads at him in disapproval, but he didn't care what they thought. As he moved down the path tossing snow over shoulder, he was about half way to his destination of the green house door, but he was growing tired and bored. "Wonder what the gangs up to without me." he wondered aloud as he thought about ditching his punishment, knowing full well that it was only going to get worse if he did so. Weighing that choice against the outcome of staying here, he would toss the shovel aside and look around.
"Maybe I'll sneak my way out into Hogsmeade.." he wasn't sure if there was anyone nearby, but he didn't try to keep that quiet. Who would hear him out here? Least of all he was sure that no one was paying him any real mind. They said they would be back in a few hours to see his work so he had plenty of time. "Now I just need a plan.."

Sometimes Julie just wanted to disappear off the face of the Earth. For now, she just wanted to be alone. Sure, she had school work to do, but she never had any trouble finishing it. She was a hard worker, and only had a few parts left to finish. And it wasn't due for a while anyway, so technically she wasn't procrastinating. But she wanted to be alone, just to think things through.
One of those things was getting over her shyness. She was used to getting the strange stares from the other students. Hearing their mutters, which were usually similar to "She's so quiet? Does she even have a voice?" or some people called her stuck up, like she was too good to be friends with everyone else. But she didn't feel that way at all. She was just shy, and she'd tried to ignore it time and time again but nothing seemed to work.
So she found her way to the black lake. Julie knew it was her fault that she was alone and didn't have many friends. She just couldn't help but not know what to say when she came across new people, or even people she'd down for years. But as she approached the lake, she heard a voice. Maybe I'll sneak my way out into Hogsmeade...
She looked around and spotted a boy, probably not much older than her. Now I just need a plan. She swallowed hard. She hadn't expected there to be anyone else around here. Usually there isn't anyone else out at this time, and not near the black lake. She hesitated then, wondering if he knew she was there. But she wanted intending on making herself known to him unless he spotted her first. She was terrible at keeping up conversations, but of course she would try her best if he did manage to get one started with her. She only hoped she wouldn't make a fool out of herself.

"Homenum Revelio"
Morgan removed his wand from his jacket pocket, giving it a gentle wave. As a trouble maker he was going to have to make sure that he covered all of his bases. If he was to get away from here he had to know if he was alone, or if the Professor who put him here was secretly watching. Morgan wrinkled his nose however as the spell revealed to him that there was someone nearby, someone possibly watching all of his actions. Picking the shovel back up, he looked around casually, pretending he wasn't planning to escape his chore.
He began to whistle as he turned, inconspicously spotting Julie as he did so. Other then that he was oblivious to anyone else who might be in the area. His spell hadn't shown him the direction or location of anyone else so he could have only assumed they were in class where he should've been. He was definitely going to be grilled by his parents for having to miss yet another class when they had big plans for him, plans for him to become a Ministry Auror. He however was unsure what he wanted for himself, he only knew that being an Auror didn't seem like it was what he wanted.
Shouldering the shovel, he made his way over to Julie casually, seeming as if he were simply moving to shovel a bit that he missed. Once he was close enough, he went back to pretending to shovel as he started speaking to her. "Hey, I'm Morgan." he started with a smile as he threw some snow to the side. He didn't wanna start with how long have you been standing there, that only incriminated him if she hadn't heard anything. He was curious however as to what she was doing out here. "I thought I was the only trouble maker out here skipping a class." he said with a laugh and a warm smile in her direction.

Julie, being the perfect student that she is, knew that charm anywhere. Even though she hadn't expected to meet someone out here, she knew it might seem like she'd followed him from his point of view. But there was .no escaping it now. And the way he looked around casually, she knew he was looking for her. But he picked up the shovel anyway, probably just to seem less suspicious, but Julie had already heard his plan of escaping his chores.
And then he made his way over to her, as if he hadn't seen her there. But she knew better. She'd missed her chance for taking off, which is what she felt like doing. Julie was the shiest person she knew, and was horrible at making any sort of conversation, and it gets even worse with strangers... boys in particular. She pulled her Hufflepuff robes around her tighter, partly because it was cold and partly because she was anxious and needed to move to get some of the tension out.
Hey, I'm Morgan. Her sigh of relief of silent, but she couldn't have been more grateful that he hadn't started out their conversation with accusing her of eavesdropping and spying on him. Her heart still pounded, though, he actually had to say something in return now. Talking to anyone and everyone just made her stutter, but she bit her lip and stepped halfway out from her little hiding spot. Most of her body was still unseen from his view. "Hi, I'm Julie..."
[/color] Julie hadn't meant for her voice to be so soft, but her nervous vocal cords wouldn't get any louder. "I didn't mean to..." she was at a loss for words. What should she say? Eavesdrop? Spy? Interrupt? She spent so long trying to decide which word to use that she didn't even bother finishing her sentence at all. She felt her whole face turn red, though, and she knew there was nothing she could do to make it stop.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Julie, huh.." he replied slowly as he continued to shovel the snow like he wasn't really that interested. He had to make it seem like he was working to anyone who could still be watching, even though he was shoveling snow that was well out of his way. There was a path he made from the stairs towards the green house, and then there was a second path that went nowhere really. If anyone asked he would right it off as he got tired or confused.. or simply that it was a means to getting around a large group without stepping in deep snow. Sometimes he was just clever on accident, but that was what he liked to call lucky; he had tons of it.
Morgan sniffled gently, the cold weather was starting to get to him and he wanted nothing more then a nice warm butter beer. He shrugged his shoulders trying to stay moving, stay warm as he turned to look at her. She seemed "weird" in the sense that she was so quiet, like she was going to disturb someone out here or something. It may have seemed weird to him though simply because he was used to being loud, out-going, friendly. "Classes are going on inside. I'm guessing you're out here on free period? You don't look like you get into trouble much." he guessed as he smiled at her for a moment before going back to shoveling.
He had to think for a moment, this complicated his plans. He was going to sneak off into a secret tunnel along the walls of the castle, there was a way down into a long and musty corridor that came out in Hogsmeade somewhere. It was however riskier to move as two, should she choose to tag along but he wasn't going to risk being found out. "You're sorry about what? You alright?" he asked staring at her with a raised brow. She was acting like she had seen a ghost in his opinion, but he wouldn't press the matter much. "You seem rather quiet or distracted." he added as he looked around.
"But if yer up for it, I was plannin' a little bit of fun." he said as he grinned from ear to ear. He was going to get her in trouble with him by the end of the day as he usually did anyone who followed him, though he always took the full wrap for it. "That is, if yer not afraid of a little bit of trouble."

Morgan didn't seemed very interested, but she couldn't tell if he was pretending to be not interested, or if he really wasn't interested. It was hard to tell with boys, although Julie was usually brilliant at reading body language. But she was more on the clueless side when it came to boys, no matter what their body language said. She focused on him again as he spoke. Free period? She wished. She'd actually skipped today because she knew she wouldn't miss anything but a lecture.
She swallowed and tried to speak a little louder, but the icy air didn't help her tight vocal cords. "Um... no. I skipped." Hopefully he wouldn't ask anymore. And the last part he said was true. She never got in trouble, but she knew her professor would be lenient. She'd told him at the beginning that she needed to get away once in a while, and she doubted he'd even make her make up any of the missed work. Good thing about good behavior, when you do break the rules occasionally, the consequences aren't as bad.
Gnawing her lip, she shrugged slightly at his next question. "I don't mean to be distracted..."
[/color] Although she kind of was. But it didn't take much to get her train of thought off the subject. For some reason she was go into little dazes sometimes, especially when she's got something significant on her mind. The reason she was little more off than usually was just because of the nightmares she'd been having lately. But if yer up for it, I was plannin' a little bit of fun. That is, if yer not afraid of a little bit of trouble.[/color] She raised her eyebrows at this. So far, he seemed nice enough. Definitely outgoing, which might be good for her since she's so introverted. She thought a moment and nodded slowly. It might be completely against everything she would normally do, being the innocent little Hufflepuff that she seemed to be, but maybe this little adventure Morgan had planned would get her mind off her horrific dreams. "What did you have in mind?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]
