"This lockdown is such a nuisance."
Alexander muttered to himself as he drifted across the grounds, keeping close to walls. He was careful to move in shadows, his dark school robes blending well as he dodged people patrolling the grounds for their saftey. There was something on his mind lately, someone, and so it brought him out here tonight to find a way off of the school grounds. Waiting around a corner for a few moments, he would dash quickly once one of the professors passed him. It would take almost fifteen minutes, but in the end he would evade being seen and find his way to forests edge. He often cam here to clear his head and talk with a few of the native creatures.
Reaching into his robes, he withdrew a wand which he would light without a word. He was such a quick study that most of his spells no longer required the words to be used, the incantations were merely a formality sometimes, especially during a school hosted duel. As he wandered down a familiar path, he would crouch low and search for signs of the creatures he was looking for, the drained bodies of smaller ceatures being a tell-tale sign of an acromantula. Surprisingly he had managed to win them over in his fourth year here, such an aggressive species to something they could easily overpower yet he had managed.
His search would take what seemed like ages, the entire time he couldn't help but feel like he had been followed. There was that sinking feeling in the back of his mind, a shadow that clouded his thoughts. Paranoia was an irritating thing, he was sure that he had not been seen. If someone found him here he would be in trouble, which he had never been before, it would tarnish a false reputation of being a goody two-shoes. He would come to a stop for a moment, resting against a tree as he "lowered" his wand, only partially so that he seemed less threatening to whatever was watching him.
"You might as well show yourself, I know you're there.." he spoke quietly into the darkness, waiting for whatever it was to reveal it's self. Inwardly though his thoughts turned dark, body tensing and preparng to defend himself from whatever was lurking. He knew what sorts of things were in here, but he was confident in his ability to brave this place. "I'm going to count to three, it's up to you wether or not you want to find out what comes at the end of this countdown." he spoke in a low, threatening tone as he raised his wand partially. "One.." he began as he crept forward towards where he felt he was being watched from.
"Two.."

Magyn was deep in the forest, high up in a tree and at the moment musing with a squirrel. The squirrel was quite confused to as why there was this large 'squirrel' this high up in the tree. Magyn just sat wedged up against where a branch connected with the trunk, smiling, loving the confusion on this squirrels face. If only he knew what was coming. It had been a week since she had last fed on a living creature. Her long black chiffon skirt was dangling on the side of the branch, the skip cut up to her thighs, parallel with her legs. While her legs were straddling the branch, her flip flops dangling on by her toes she popped up onto the branch, perched like a bird, ready to attack.
She could just force this animal into submission, but she felt like a little game of cat and mouse. She slowly moved forward, doing tsk-ing sounds with her mouth trying to get the animal to come to her, she had learned over the years that this is what worked best with squirrels. Since she did not smell alive, every once in a while she could get one to come to her this way. But alas, the squirrel jumped to the branch below when she moved another inch forward.
Magyn was on the other branch in a second, flying gracefully, her skirt almost went completely over her head. As the back chiffon settled around her she was distracted by a disturbance on the other side of the forest. 'DAMN IT!' she cursed in her head, as to not disturb the squirrel.'well, I guess MY fun is over' she mused as she reached in to the squirrels mind and told it to stand still. She crept forward and grabbed the squirrel and held it gently in her hands. She really hated animal blood, but it would have to do while she was employed at Hogwarts, terms of her employment. The dark vampiress then bent her head down, opened her mouth wide, revealing her fangs and sunk her teeth into the poor creature.
After she was fed, not fully satisfied, but sustained for now; her attention turned to the disturbance that she had touched on earlier. This was her forrest; for all intensive purposes and she felt it was her duty to know its inhabitants at all times. She flew through the forest, closing the gap between herself and the intruder. She smiled as the wind blew swiftly in her face and a tear dropped out of the corner of her eye. Their presence was ever so powerful now, Magyn slowed down as not to miss them. She swung on a branch and held on as her hands and exposed skin healed from scratches and lacerations she had sustained during her jaunt through the forest. Magyn let out a sigh of relief as the last one healed, 'Thats better.... she thought and began eyeing the ground around her for whoever was there.
It didn't take her very long to spot the child, the boy, which was now walking to a tree, leaning up against it, and lowering his wand a bit. He then spoke, tauntingly, and insolently. He began counting, as if that would have any affect on anyone who did want to do him any harm. As he finished with two, Magyn decided to end this charade. She landed on the ground a few feet in front of him in her usual fashion and spoke, "Are you sure about that?" she asked, then continued, "Put that hing away, and what are you doing out of the school, let alone at this hour?" she finished.
Magyn felt the shine of the moon on her face and welcomed it, for many years she only went outside at night, but these days, inside of the walls of the castle she was safe to walk about diring the day. She enjoyed that, she could get all her work done inside during the light hours and come out here and play while it was dark.

The moment of silence continued on in an eerie stillness for a minute or so more, it seemed he might have been wrong. No, he was never wrong, and he would prove so in only a moment. As he went to step foward, she came out of the shadows. At that moment his worst fears had been realized, for the first time in seven years he had been caught out of bounds, out of the rules. Inwardly he swore, cursing himself for being so careless. Yet he was already calculating a way out of this mess. He couldn't let his good reputation with the professors be tarnished due to one incident of rule breaking. "Is that a challenge?" he asked when she asked him if he was sure.
His face remained an empty mask as he watched her, gauging her response. However several moments later he would give a small nod and replace his wand within his sleeve. It was pretty bold to joke with the person who had just caught you breaking school rules during a tough time. He felt it was the only way to get himself out of this, to try and find himself on her good side with some humor. A moment later he would laugh slowly, shaking his head. "I'm sorry Professor. I was just yanking your chain." he said with a smirk. He should have used a disillusionment charm. So careless tonight, Alex.
It was only a moment before she asked the million dollar question, the one he knew she would quickly come to. What was he doing here? That was simple, he was trying to find a way off the grounds. Of course he had been so stupid to begin with, how could he have forgotten his house elf. The use of it's magic was strictly forbidden, but then again the elf was bound to obey his commands. He cursed himself mentally for only coming to this conclusion during a time of extreme stress. "I was playing around near here earlier with some charms. I lost something in the woods." he began as he weaved a tale. "When I tried to find it however I was attacked by an Accromantula." he said slowly, sounding embarassed.
"I've never lost a duel or battle in my life, I felt compelled to come back and retake it from them." he said with his face returning to a passive state. No longer was he smiling, it was a big tale to believe, he doubted it's effectiveness. Of course any proffessor would expect a lie. "If you'd like we could ask them about it, but I don't believe they like people all that much." he said with a furled brow. "If I might ask though professor, what are you doing out here?" he asked examining her with piercing eyes, his gaze almost as if he was trying to look right through her.

The princess chuckled as he retorted 'is that a challenge?' then waited for him to retract it. She thought he was smart as he replaced his wand within his sleeve. Magyn listened politely, nodding from time to time as he apologized for his words and weaved an obvious tail of lies. Magyn had dealt with many students before in this matter. Usually, she put the fear of god in them, so to speak, then gave them a warning, telling them that if she ever caught them in the forest again she would bring them straight to the Headmasters office and dealt with by him.
The boy invited her to go with him to ask the spiders about it, but Magyn knew it was just a ploy, on the other hand, she thought, she should say yes and have him shaking in his shorts that he will be caught in a lie. Magyn took a few stops forward, her long black hair swaying down her back, she rounded on him slightly and came to a halt. Just as she was about to answer him as to the spider adventure he spoke again, this time questioning her motives as to being in the forest.
"I, young man, do not need an excuse or a reason to be in this forest; it is my playground and I have free reign of it" she smirked, "You however, do not; you, young man should not be in this forest at all." she paused, looked at his face to take in his reaction."If my memory serves me correctly is this not what the headmaster says to every student at the beginning of every year, 'The Forbidden Forest is off-limits to all students?" she asked him her eye brown raising inquisitively.
"As for your request for me to accompany you to the spiders......We both know that such an adventure would be for naught and we both know that you are lying" She smirked and continued, "Now maybe if you tell me the truth as to why you are with in these boundaries, I will be more forgiving than I am right as of this moment"
Magyn thought that his boy was a laugh, him trying to pull one over on her. Her, a princess, a professor and above all else a vampire, she would never have it nor let it happen. This boy, whoever he was better choose his next words carefully if he wants to make it out of here unpunished.

He remained entirely calm, despite it all, on the surface. Even in his head he was not truly worried what would happen from this point on, he would not be here at Hogwarts much longer after the end of this school term. He was finally almost free of this magical institute, his parents insisted that he finished just as a formality, even though they all knew what he was. His father was proud of him, yet afraid at the same time, knowing that if his son was like anything like him then his loyalties were fragile at best. Alex however was not like his father, he honored those who stood beside him rather then stabbing them in the back.
Besides, if he had to stab them at all it was going to be when they were aware. The only satisfaction came from knowing that someone was surprised by your betrayal, someone that trusted you. Giving her his rapt attention, and a nod, Alex simply kept his mouth shut until she was done speaking. "Of course you don't Professor, I was merely remarking on the abnormality of it all." he said as he chose his words as carefully as possible. "Normally everyone else would be in bed, except us it seems." he spoke before looking around for a moment. "And between you and me, there have been some strange things to roam this place as of late." he said as he shruged.
She was absolutely right though, he would not manage to lie his way out of this one so instead he would be up front with her. There was no harm in it, besides, she was the Professor he enjoyed the most on a daily basis. "I suppose you're right. But we all know if you tell a teenager not to do something.." he trailed off making an etc motion with his hand. "..well you get the point. It's no excuse, I apologize professor. But I couldn't sleep." he said with a sigh as he looked to her eyes. "I suppose you're going to report this then?" he asked, grimacing at the thought of such a perfect rep and cover going to waste.
"I came out here to meet with my House Elf." he started as he looked down at the ground. "I have an uncommonly good relationship with ours, I didn't want the others to see me being.. well.. kind to it." he said as he let out a sigh and covered his face with his palm. "I had to ask it a favor, I need something from home and I was simply just going to get it. I was going to come right back." he said as he looked back up, shrugging his shoulders. "I'm not sure if that's truly against the rules, leaving and coming back. I know being out here is however.."
