Lexi was having a bad day. She had been feeling so lonely lately. It was pretty late at night, and she was sitting on a window seat staring outside, as the rain came down. She knew she shouldn’t be there, but the common room filled with happy people didn’t appeal to her. She was crying silently, for really no reason. Things were just heavy, and she didn’t know what to do. She had always been one of those people who wanted to reach out to people, but didn’t know how or to who. Instead of learning to tread water, she drowned slowly. She was shy at first, but once someone broke her out of her shell it was damn near impossible to get her back in. For some reason whenever she was feeling lonely she either went to the library or the owlery. They were good places to be alone. She had a photographic memory and knew most of the people in the school, but they didn’t know her and was generally left alone. The only person she had recent contact with outside of Hogwarts was a muggle ex-boyfriend. It was kind of pathetic that she risked getting in trouble over the lockdown just to talk to a boy who knew nothing about ninety percent of her life, but hey, she had to talk to someone, someone who didn’t know her well enough to judge her. Judging was a huge problem for Lexi. She was pretty, so she drew some attention to herself in that aspect, which sometimes bothered her and sometimes didn’t. People judged her all the time, but they had no idea about anything she had gone through. At that particular moment she decided she needed someone. Someone who understood her, and knew her well. She needed someone who needed her and actually cared about her. All she needed was one person she could depend on besides herself. She would be there for them and vice a versa. The girl who always insisted that she needed nobody was admitting to herself she needed someone. The ridiculousness of it made her want to laugh. She probably looked crazy, but she didn’t care. Lexi the look-like crazy person was then approached; staring out a window deep in thought, with tear stains on her face. words: 384 notes: blehh. idk. outfit:http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/profile?id=2037961

harmony smiled as she hummed as she walked along the corridor, pushing her kids in a stroller. she smiled as she saw they were asleep with smiles in their faces. her kids had a lot of energy and she didn't have anyone to watch them all the time, so she could have some time to rest, but when she did have someone to watch them she would rest and relax. those few times of rest helped her a lot, even though they were generally very well behaved kids. she missed her parents and knew that the kids missed there grandparents too. it was this stupid lockdown that was stopping them from seeing them. after a while of walking, she saw the entrance to the library and humming as she walked in with her kids. she looked around as she walked to her usual spot in the library. she saw a girl looking out the window close to her usual spot. she looked around and saw they were the only ones there in that area. she smiled as she walked over to the girl and said" hi there, im harmony" she smiled as she looked around for a few moments then she looked back at the girl, not knowing what to say.

Outside the rain was pouring. Lexi was deep in thought. She stared blankly outside the large window. As she was staring she heard the faint sound of wheels turning. She looked up to see a girl. Her name was Harmony, if Lex remembered right, which she always did. “Hi there, I’m Harmony” she said. “I’m Lexi” she replied. The wheel noise she heard was a stroller holding twins; both sleeping peacefully. Harmony was in Ravenclaw, and Lexi’s year. She wondered what Harmony was doing at the library at this time of night with her children. Probably the same thing Lexi was, looking for a place to think. Or to study while her kids slept. Either one. It was stupid to be hopeful that this girl would be anything more than an acquaintance but call Lex stupid. One of her faults was she got her hopes up to easily only to watch them crash and burn before her very eyes. You’d think she wouldn’t trust easily after everything she’s been through, but you’d be wrong. For some reason nobody, including Lexi, could understand she was optimistic. She held on long after she should let go, clinging to nothing. She gave all her love away and often was left with nothing in the end. Lexi wasn’t good with people in a sense. She was protective of those she loved, sometimes called overprotective. Mistakes made her strong, and boy did she make a lot of mistakes; a lot of mistakes, but she rarely learned from them. Unlike most, she didn’t usually regret things. You can’t change the past was her philosophy; and what will be, will be. Her problem was she didn’t know what should be. You have to live in the present, whether you want to or not. “Would you like to sit?” Lexi asked, gesturing to the seat next to her. It felt silly asking, but she did anyways. However stupid it was to be thinking it, she was. She was tired of being sad and lonely. One person was all she needed. She wanted to be happy. So the question that echoed in Lexi’s head was will you be my someone?

Harmony smile and sat next to Lexi. She could see one of the twins stirring. "Thank you, i'm here to relax while my kids sleep before i take them to their grandparents tomorrow." she said. Lexi thought about how hard it must be to be a young mother. Lexi couldnt handle that kind of stress. no sir. Not on her own. "why are you her by yourself if you dont mind me asking you." she said. Lexi though, why WAS she there by herself.? the real answer? she needed to be by serself. it was quiet and a good place to think. " I need some time to think every once in a while you know? But i think i'm getting it together now." Lexi replied with a smile. She was. Lexi Kenndal Dumeass was going to be happy. it was deecided. and tht was that. how was another matter. but right now she focused herself on having a normal conversation with Harmony. ( I have no muse. Doing the best i can, sorry.)

harmony smiled as she said" yeah i know what you mean i come here to think when i can." she sighed when she looked down at the oldest of the twins, Allison, had woken up from a bad dream and was crying . she picked her up and began to calm her daughter down. it was a while before Allison had began to calm down then she sighed tiredly when Allison's crying had woken up Trent and he started to cry. she hated when this had happened. she loved her kids, there was no doubt about that, but she hated when they cried one right after the other. she looked down at Allison then up at Lexi and asked her" can you please hold her while i calm down Trent?" when her hands were free , she leaned down and picked up Trent, the youngest of the twins, and began to work to calm him down. Trent took longer to calm down then Allison did, because he was upset that he had been woken up from his sleep.

The older of the twins began to cry. "Can you please hold her while i calm down Trent?" Harmony asked. Lexi picked her up from Harmonys arms. Allison was calm now, and put her hands on Lexi's face. She had always considered herself to be too easily stressed to handle children, but when she held Allison something inside her just sort of melted. She smiled at the toddler and Allison giggled. Trent had stopped crying by now. She knew it was time to return the child to her mother, but she didnt want to let her go. Reluctantly, she handed her back. Harmony was a good mother, that Lexi was sure of. She obviously loved her kids. "Is it hard to handle? Being a mother, i mean." Even if it was easy, which Lexi was sure it wasn't, Harmony was still sixteen and even the best of people need help every once in a while, right? But it seemed to Lexi that Harmony was doing everything all alone. "If my brother had been born he would be about their age." Lex said with a sad smile.

harmony smiled and put the twins back in their stroller as she said" yeah it is hard to handle at first but it gets easier." after a few moments, Allison wiggled around in her seat and looked up at Lexi. Allison still wanted Lexi to hold her. harmony sighed as she relaxed where she was sitting as she looked from allison to lexi and said. " Allison seems to like you a lot. she's watching you and wiggling to get out of her seat" trent had went right back to sleep, holding his favorite stuffed animal when he had been put back into the stroller. she looked at allison again after a few moments then looked at lexi and said" would you like to hold her?"

"Would you like to hold her?" Harmony asked. Lexi wanted nothing more. She nodded and picked up the child. She held her close to her chest and smiled. Allison fell asleep with her head on Lexi's chest, breathing steadily. Since her brother was a stillborn, Lexi was cautious around young children. In fact, Lexi was just careful in general; it was part of her personality. Despit the fact that she sometimes acted like she was thirty, the teenage girl part of her broke out. "Okay, so do you know Rhys Zayden?" She almost giggled at how gossipy her voice sounded. It was so unlike her. Today had been very strange. She didn't usually fall for bad boys, no they turned Lexi off; but this one was different. sure he was a jerk, arrogant, and sometimes just downright stupid, but there was something else. He has a softer side, and Lexi was sure of it. Okay, so she wasn't just ranting for nothing- she had a major crush on him. So big, she was going to make him hers. She wanted him. And what Lexi wants, Lexi gets. (sorry i know its a bit off topic, but we needed a new direction x])

harmony smiled as she watched Allison and Lexi. Allison never got attached to many people, but she was really attached to Lexi and very quickly at that. she looked at Lexi when she heard what she had said. " no i dont know him" she said, shaking her head at her question. she didn't talk to many people here due to the fact that she never had alot of time to.
