Kayla Dedulas ran from the common room to the small chamber where her and Ankel had discussed something while him and Tori were still together. While they were in the dungeons in a different chamber they talked about how they still had feelings. She had really wanted to help him become a better person. Yes he had made some mistakes but it was never to late to change right. Then she hears Zac and Jake beat the crap out of Ankel. She hated that and hadn't talked to Zac or Jake about it or even talked to them at all.

So they all had gotten detention. She had wanted to meet up with Ankel after his detention. Sadly she couldn't. While in detention the stupid teacher left and Ankel had been killed by two of the creatures. At first she had figured he had ditched her. When she woke up she found out that she was so wrong. Tears feel down her cheek as she ran to the chamber. When she reached it she looked around and sat where Ankel had been sitting singing and playing his guitar.

The memory played through Kaylas head of that one eventful day here at Hogwarts. Tears poured down the HufflePuffs face as she thought about what had happened a year ago. Everything had been going so right then things took a turn for the worst. She hated that she never got to help him. Her and Ankel had a good thing going till that day. Well he had broken up with her to go out with Tori but then he realized his feelings where with Kayla. He realized he made a mistake. He left Tori for Kayla. For that Zac and Jake thought it was a good idea to beat him up.

It was raining outside so she had stayed in. She chose one of the empty closets in the dungeons for her memory playback. It had been a year today that this had happened. A whole year had came and went. The things she had been feeling for Ankel she was now feeling for a different Slytherin boy. Jakob Drake had somehow touched something that only Ankel had. Now she didn’t know what she was going to do. If anything happened Kayla didn’t know if she could take it. The suspense of anything happening made her harden her heart and not let anyone near it again.

She took the guitar that she had brought down there and started to play. This was the way her and Ankel could communicate again. Through music. She started singing a song that she had written a year or so ago. I can almost see it.

The reason today Jakob had chosen to stay in didn't necessarily have anything to do with the rain. It was just water, and he wasn't made of sugar; wouldn't melt. There were way worse things out there in the world than bad weather, which wasn't included in the list of things he couldn't bear. If anything, thunder and lightning had always helped him over the years. In a school this big it was quite easy to find a member of the opposite sex terrified of the booming sounds and shaking of the castle.

Maybe it wasn't the most moral thing to do, but Jakob didn't mind stepping in to temporarily play the part of protector. He loved the way a trembling girl felt in his arms.

His refusal to step out of doors had more to do with the fact that there would be no point. Any faint hearted ladies would rather be anywhere than not within Hogwarts' walls, and going out would only give him a cold from being so soaked through. Nope, Jake had decided he would prefer to scout for said opportunity of being a source of comfort. Girls' decision making, he'd found over the years, were affected greatly when their hearts were filled with fear. It was just as Jake was leaving the Slytherin common room by the dungeons in search of such a distressed damsel to take advantage of --though only one girl, a Hufflepuff, strangely, lately had been the primary chick to really most of the time occupy his thoughts--that he heard music, and approached a nearby closet, which seemed to be the source of it.
