With the new found world of motherhood hanging over her, Kelsey barely found time for herself anymore. It was like her life was on some sort of daily routine. She would wake up, take the kids to Harry's, go to school, come home, go get the kids, then put them to bed, do homework then put herself to sleep. Well, the sleep part barely came. Those children of hers kept her up at all hours of the night. Almost every lunch break at school she would sneak off into the common room for a nap. She was still not used to this whole mothering thing. Hell, she was still not sure if she would ever get used to this whole thing. After all, she was still only a child herself.
Having had a rough day, Kelsey was more than happy to see her last class of the day end. Next stop, home to her children and husband. Luckily, today was Friday and she would have the whole weekend to relax and just be with her family. It seemed lately that her and James barely ever spent much time together. He was either at practice or at a game and when he was home she was at school or doing school work. But, as determined as they were, they did make some time for each other, which was good, even if it was only an hour or two a day plus the time they spent sleeping next to each other.
Sighing, Kelsey made her way to her father's office. She just wanted to get home, that is all she wanted. However, as she walked through the darkness of the castle, she couldn't help feel like something terrible was going to happen. Maybe it was just her being paranoid or something. Everything terrible in the world had already happened to her. What could be next? Shaking her head, Kelsey continued her journey to the office.
She made her way up the steps and didn't bother knocking on the door. She came in here everyday at this time, her father should be used to it by now. As she stepped into the office, she waved to her father sitting at his desk as usual. She then made her way to the fireplace where she planned on flooing home. However, as she stepped in front of the fireplace, she noticed something odd. It was all bricked up. Why in the world was the fireplace blocked? Maybe it was Robert dearest playing a prank on her or something.
"Dad, whats going on? Why is the fireplace blocked? If this is your idea of some prank cut it out. I just want to go home to my babies and go to bed," Kelsey said, turning on her heel to look at her father. She hoped that this was a prank but something inside of her knew it wasn't. There was just a sense of bad luck in the air that made Kelsey's skin tingle. Again, hopefully it was just her being paranoid for nothing.

All Robert had wanted was a nice, quiet, drama-free term. Last year had been full of pain, stress, tears, and a lot of stuff he didn't to think about. This year started out nice after having taken a nice long vacation with Mandy. That was about as nice as his year had been. Kelsey had been pregnant, and Robert really had to adjust to the fact that he had to let her grow up. He still really hadn't but, the idea was there. It probably would never happen. Still, he had to beautiful new grandchildren Mandee-lynn and Henry. Robert knocked up Mandy on their vacation. They had made it through the first trimester. Only two more to go. Robert was scared out of his mind about being a parent again. He could screw up this kid too. Things settled down for a whole two weeks after Kelsey's twins were born. Anton, his estrange son returned. Dominique had returned - neither of which had even so much as talked to Robert. That would change one day, when Robert talked to them, or at least one of them. He was more likely to speak to Dominique first than Anton. Weird, I know but, she was the mother of his first grandchild, whom he really hadn't seen in months.
Aside from the dramatic LeBlanc family, Robert had other issues pressing on him. First of which was the huge massacre, for lack of a better word, that he witnessed and tried to stop at the Christmas/New Year ball. Many innocent people had died but, on Zhen Ji and more importantly Jack Lestrange were dead. Dead, dead, dead. The mere thought of Jack being dead put a smile on Robert's face. He was like a kid at Christmas. This joy didn't last long. In the weeks that followed, he had received countless threats against the school, students, and staff. At first, he brushed them off as nothing. Just his old Death Eater "friends" trying to intimidate him. After several weeks, this was getting just plain annoying. Robert ended up contacting the Ministry, bringing the issue to their attention. The threats didn't stop, arriving in his office daily - many of which were directed toward his family in particular but didn't exclude the entire school.
An uneasy feeling and filled Robert. Robert, the aurors, and Hermione Granger came together and agreed to shut down Hogwarts. No, not close it but isolate it from the world essentially. There was no communication in or out of the school (except between Robert and the Ministry but, that's secret), no student could enter or leave the school. There was no going out in the grounds. Outside classes were moved indoors. No floo network in his office, no Daily Prophet deliveries, nothing. Letters were sent to all parents from students from both Robert and the Ministry. The Ministry had to deal with the angry parents. In his own letter, Robert explained that the students were safe under his constant guard. He made promises that soon would be broken. There were two letters in which he had to write, and they were two of the hardest letters he'd ever have to write. The first was to James. Kelsey couldn't leave the school, and the twins couldn't come in. They had to stay with James and his parents. It was too dangerous for the here. Robert hated writing that, he hated to tell James that he couldn't see Kelsey (yes, hated). He knew exactly how James would feel when it read this but, Robert pressed the issue that it was absolutely necessary.
The second letter was to Mandy. He stared at a blank piece of parchment for hours before he ever actually wrote anything. They had been separated for lengths of time before but, not without communication. Plus, things had been going so well for them. It was like they were newly weds all over again..and with the baby and everything. Merlin, the baby. Robert had vowed to be there for Mandy ever step of the way, every day like he once had for the other three children they brought into the world. He even made her stay with him at the castle. That had to come to a stop. It hurt him to write it out. He thought about reading it, sitting at home in their sitting room, tired after a long day but still looking radiant. The soft, warm, smile on her face once she saw his scratchy handwriting. It was fall once she read the first few sentences. Tears would well in her brown eyes, she would cry, and probably be mad at him. That letter was indeed the worst for him to write and send, sealing with a kiss, and a list of instructions in case anything were to happen to him.
There was still one more difficult thing he had to do. It was something that couldn't be put into a letter, he had to do it in person. Robert had to tell Kelsey she couldn't see James. She couldn't see her babies, who were only a few weeks old. In the morning, he sent her a note, asking her to stop by his office before she went home - well, that was something she wouldn't do. Throughout the day, Robert with the help of the Ministry closed the great oak doors, sealed them with a bunch of protective spells. All the windows and other doors were sealed the same way. The one fire place with floo capabilities was in his office, and that was sealed as well. The rest of the day Robert spent in his office, alone. He tried to plan out his conversation with Kelsey. He's just get out with it, tell her only so much. Let her yell at him, scream at him, hit him even, and the cry. Pft, it wouldn't be as easy as that. Robert knew it. Nothing with Kelsey was ever that easy.
Robert paid no attention to the time. He had been sitting at his desk for hours, staring at the family picture he kept on his desk. There were new pictures on his desk now, one of Mandy from their vacation, and another picture of Kelsey, James, and the twins after they were born. This was all he would have of them for who knows how long. At first, Robert had been so engrossed in his continuous thoughts of the coming conversation, he didn't even notice Kelsey's arrival. It wasn't until the words 'home' and 'babies' were uttered that he noticed. He slowly looked up but, it wasn't the full grown Kelsey that he saw. It was the little one year old Kelsey taking her first steps: the two year old Kelsey tearing apart their bathroom, the four year old Kelsey punching Anton, the ten year old Kelsey pouting that she couldn't go with Anton to Hogwarts, and then it went to the young woman she was now.
Robert blinked and clenched his jaw, shifting in his chair. His throat closed up. He couldn't do it. He couldn't tell her that he was sorry but, she couldn't see her husband or her children. Rob couldn't just not tell her either. He looked at her with sad, reddish eyes - he hadn't slept at all for the past few nights. He had gotten so used to sleeping next to Mandy all the time, he couldn't sleep without her there. Plus, with everything else sleep was just not happening with him. He cleared his throat. "Come, sit down," he said. His voice was scratchy and melancholy. Robert really didn't know how he was going to get this out. He just wanted her to be sitting down, it was probably the best, and safest at this point.

Something wasn't right. She knew that as soon as she saw the expression on her father's face. Her heart began to race, eyes becoming sad, tears getting ready to fall. She was overtired, stressed and home sick for her family. If she could have one thing at the moment, it would be to be home, laying in bed, with one baby sleeping on her chest while James was next to her with the other baby asleep on his chest. It was a simple wish, one that she had come true every day but for some odd reason, she felt like that wish wouldn't come true anymore. The look on her father's face made her feel like nothing would ever be the same again.
She hated that look and the feeling that came along with it. She thought that after the twins were born things were going to get better, that her life would be somehow easier. Hadn't she deserve such a simple thing? To be able to go home to the ones she loved and just be happy for once in her life. Nothing in the world made her more happy than when she would hold her babies in her arms and see those big eyes look up at her. They were so innocent and pure. It killed her inside to leave them during the day so she could go to school. Some days she contemplated on quitting, just so she could stay home with her children and not have to worry about anything ever again. But as she stood in that oh so familiar office, looking at her father, she knew she may never get that again.
The feeling of not knowing what was going on was killing her. Kelsey always needed to know what was going on and why all the time. Not knowing made her mind think of the worst that could happen. What if someone died? Her father's face sure did have the look of death on it. Was it her mother? Did she have a miscarriage? What if something bad happened outside the castle walls? What if James or the twins were hurt, or worst dead. She felt her heart rate begin to go faster and faster. Any moment now her heart would probably jump out of her chest and fly around the room. This was not good. None of this was good.
Kelsey stayed silent for a few moments after her father told her to go sit. It was like she was frozen in time, unable to do anything. Then, she regained control of her body, feeling her voice begin to speak. "Dad, what's going on?" Kelsey spoke softly. She began to make her way over to the chair but kept her pace slow. "Why is the fireplace blocked?" Kelsey asked still making the same slow steps, trying to keep herself calm. Maybe it was just that the floo networks were broken and couldn't be used? Yes, that was it. She would be able to walk over to Hogsmeade village and go home to James without a problem.
Finally arriving at the chair, Kelsey slowly sat down, looking at her father with worried eyes. She took in his face, noticing the lack of sleep in his eyes and face. It was at that moment she knew this was not a simple matter of the floo networks being down. That would not get her father so upset. It was something serious. More serious than she thought. "I'm not going to get to go home to my babies, am I?" Kelsey said softly, tears gathering in her eyes as what she said hit her. A few tears fell down her cheek as the worst sunk in. She was trapped inside this castle. Her father didn't have to say anything to her. She could read it in his eyes.

Words Robert, use your words. Yeah, well these words weren't all that easy to say. He closed his eyes and sighed. She wasn't going to make this easy - she just had to point out the obvious. Robert opened his eyes and glanced at the closed fireplace. This sucked, beyond anything other crappy thing that has ever happened. This was probably the worst. Little did Robert know, worse was yet to come, only a few hours away. Several moments crawled by, as he scrambled for the best way to put it, without being able to look at Kelsey. His eyes drifted back to his desk.
Robert should have known she'd piece it together. Kelsey was smart, smarter than her old man. She might not know everything but, she had enough to figure out what he was going to tell her. Robert forced himself to look up at her. She was already crying and he hadn't even said anything. She figured it out like always. He took a deep breath and slowly shook his head three times. Robert slowly stood up, his bones cracked, his muscles ached from being in the same position all day. He ignored it and slowly came around his desk so he could crouch down next to Kelsey and take her hands. "No one can leave the castle," he said slowly. Robert didn't know what felt worse, thinking about it, writing about it, or actually speaking those words.
He bent his head and held her hands a bit tighter. It wasn't going to comfort her but, the gesture was there for the both of them. It wasn't easy for Robert to be shut out from everyone either. Kelsey was demand to know why. He already say it coming. He looked up at her, wishing she wouldn't cry. Rob hated seeing her cry. "The Ministry and I have come to an agreement, we had to lock the school down. Nothing and no one goes out, nothing and no one goes in," he explained. None of it would matter, he knew. She wouldn't be listening, she'd be thinking. Robert said it anyway. "Someone has been threatening the school....students, staff...I thought it was nothing until last week.."
Robert looked down at the floor. The back of his eyes stung. It was an odd feeling. "I sent a letter to James and," he paused to clear his throat. "...and to your mother. I explained everything that I could to them so, they are aware." Robert looked at Kelsey and wondered if anything he just said even got through to her. He was glad that she was here, in Hogwarts. He was glad that she came to school today, otherwise, they would be separated. It was a separation he knew would kill him more than what was killing him now. He wouldn't know if she was safe. He at least felt better knowing she was safe, and that Vince was safe too. That was two less people he had to worry about.

She didn't know what to think. This, all of this, was not good for her. What if something happened to her babies? What if since whoever was threatening the school couldn't get inside they went after families. Her babies needed her. Mandee-Lynn couldn't get to sleep without Kelsey singing to her and Henry needed his blanket in order to sleep through most of the night. James couldn't handle those two on his own. She needed to be there with them. Why must she be locked up in this school? It was not like she was the one who was sending the threats. This was not fair. Certainly her father knew that.
"Can't you make an exception for me? You know I need to be home dad! Certainly they would understand if you explain that to them. Please, do something!" Kelsey pleaded, looking at her father with her tear filled eyes. Her heart broke in a million little pieces. Each piece was for her babies and James. It was no fair that they got to be all together while she was trapped inside these castle walls, doomed to worry about her family and have no way to know if they were okay. It was a punishment worst than death for her. This wasn't right. She wasn't even going to come to school today! It was a Friday and she wanted to stay home with her babies. James had made her come to school. He had told her she needed to be there for Transfiguration class. Little did she know she would be separated from him later that night.
"You knew they were going to do this. Why didn't you tell me sooner? Before they put the school on lockdown! I could have went home and I wouldn't be stuck here! How long is this going to last? I can't stay here for long, I just can't! You know that," Kelsey pleaded, more tears pouring down her face. This couldn't be happening to her. She had been through enough in this lifetime. All she wanted was some peace and quiet for once in her life. This whole situation just basically sucked. Life seemed to really be out to get this red head. Maybe she did some horrible in a previous life to deserve this or something. There had to be some reason why everything bad always happened to her.
"I need to go home. The twins need me. James needs me. You can't keep me locked up here," Kelsey ranted, standing up and looking at her father. She took out her wand and turned towards the fireplace, shouting out spells to try and break through the bricks. After many attempts at trying, she failed, and stood there panting, tears streaming from her eyes. She felt herself drop to the floor, leaning her back against the desk and putting her knees up to her chest. She looked at her father, her tears in her eyes flooding down her cheek.
"My babies," Kelsey whispered, her heart breaking even more. She was a mess and she was furious. Her whole body was full of emotions and she didn't know how to deal with it all. She felt herself become more helpless and transform from a mother to a helpless daughter, looking at her father for some kind of help. She was sick and tired of crying but these tears didn't want to stop at all. "Daddy," Kelsey began, looking at her father with her dull, tired eyes, "What do I do now?" All she wanted was to be home but since she couldn't have that then she wanted to be told that everything was going to be okay, even if it was a lie. She wanted her father to make her feel safe like he used to when she was little. He used to hold her in his arms and tell her that the monsters under her bed were not going to hurt her. Now, she wanted him to tell her that she would see her children again someday.

Robert shook his head. He couldn't make an exception. Someone would find out, and then other parents would know and be more angry than they already were with him and the Ministry. "Kelsey, I can't," he said, getting up. Robert walked back to the other side of his office and went to look out the window. Then, he remembered that window was "closed". It wasn't really, it only appeared to be so. This window, in his office, remained open solely for the purpose of communicating with the Ministry. The portraits too, where there to help. He sighed and stared at the seemingly covered window.
He nodded without looking at her. "Yes, I know. It was partially my idea. I couldn't tell you and I don't know how long it will be." Robert listened to the rest of her ranting. He turned and glared at her as she shot spells at the fire place. "I can keep you here, and I will," he snapped at her. Robert took a few deep breats and closed his eyes for a few minutes. When he reopened them, Kelsey was gone. For a split second he panicked, but quickly found her huddled in front of his desk on the floor.
Robert hated seeing her like that. He sat down on the floor next to her, and just took Kelsey in his arms. Kissing the top of her head he said, "You don't do anything, just leave it all to me." Robert was going to fix this. He had to. It wasn't just his family at risk, it was the hundreds of students and the staff in the entire castle. Robert was responsible for all of them with or without help from the Ministry. "I know, it feels horrible. They'll be okay, I promise," he said quietly. He had to believe that in the end everything would be okay. This wasn't a decision that had been made lightly, and he hoped it was the right one.

Kelsey's world was falling apart. How many times exactly did her world have to fall apart before started to stay together on its own? This had better be the last major change in Kelsey's life for a long, long, long time. If one more thing went bad, just one, she would kill someone, she knew it. She was at her breaking point. The worst thing of all was, James, the only person who could ever make her feel like she wasn't drowning from all of this drama, wasn't here to hold her in his arms and tell her everything was going to be alright. How was she going to survive all of this without him?
Kelsey glared at her father as he said he couldn't. He was the bloody headmaster for crying out loud. He could do anything he wanted to! "Yes you can! You know you can! You just won't do it!" Kelsey snapped at him, anger getting the best of her. She had a very short temper, that was for sure. Some said it was the red hair, others said it was from her father. She knew it was a deadly mixture of both. When she was angry she was not a force to be reckoned with. Only one person ever dared to upset her when she was raging mad and that was her father because he knew he could get away with it.
She felt like such a prisoner inside these castle walls. She didn't know what to do with herself. If she hadn't hated school before she most certainly hated it now. It was a place of no escape for her. She would find a way to get out of here, she had to. Then again, her father would probably have his eyes on her at all times and would stop any attempt to escape. Wait until the rest of the school found out about this. They would all go insane. Robert would most defiantly have his hands full with this one. Maybe he would be so busy that he couldn't watch Kelsey at all time and then she could find some way to escape without worrying about him.
She couldn't stop crying. No matter how much she tried the tears continued to pour from her eyes. She felt her father put his arms around her and kiss her head. She allowed herself to put her head in his chest and cry harder. The red head always hated feeling trapped. She was a person who needed to feel free and able to do what she wanted. Knowing that she could not leave this castle was eating alive.
"I need to be with my babies. I can't just abandon them like this! What kind of mother would I be? I need to go home," Kelsey said softly as she cried more. She kept thinking about what if one of the babies got sick, or an ear infection or something. What if James fell of his broom during Quidditch and was in the hospital right now? She hated not knowing what was going on with her family. Kelsey had always feared the unknown. This was a cruel punishment for her.
"Please daddy, let me leave. If you love me you would find some way to get me home to my children," Kelsey said, looking at her father with tear stained eyes. Yup, she pulled the whole if you love me bit. Hopefully this would get Robert all mushy and make him find a way to get her home. It was a long shot but she had to take the risk.

Now was not the time for them to start arguing. Robert didn't want to argue with her. Not today. It wasn't a good day. It wouldn't end well. He would say things, she was says things, and they'd be mad at each other for days. He would end up apologizing, blah, blah, blah. Robert shook his head. He would, if he could but, he couldn't. Robert had the Ministry posted outside the building. They were watching the castle from the outside, so he could watch from the inside. That was the plan at least. When did anything ever go according to plan? Never.
Robert sighed and closed his eyes as he held Kelsey. He didn't say anything. What could he say? Sorry? What good would that do? Yes, he was sorry she was stuck here, he didn't like it anymore than she did. Rob didn't want to take any chances, no exceptions. It just wasn't going to happen. Surely, after some time, Kelsey would come to understand that. Besides, for all they knew this was just some fluke. Someone with some anger issues because he didn't pass his N.E.W.T's or something.
Of course, Kelsey had to the pull that line. Robert shook his head. This little trick usually worked on him but, this was no ordinary time. "Don't...don't try that crap. I can't let you go. I can't take that chance. Look, I don't want to keep you here, I don't want to keep you from them but, I have to. We are all stuck in this castle until this is sorted out," he said, in attempts to convince her and himself.
At this point, Robert didn't care if Kelsey was mad at him. He could tolerate it. This was just the way things had to be. Besides, this could only last a few days, a week, a month at most. This couldn't really go on for that long. The aurors were good at this stuff, the idiot would be caught eventually. All of this Robert could only hope for. It was better than thinking negatively and jumping to conclusions like he always did.

The mother of two hoped with all of her heart that this lockdown would only last a night. She could survive one night away from her babies, maybe even two if things got really bad. If it became more than that, she would kill and go insane. Her mental stability was already hanging by a thin thread. Any moment now she could snap and go into some sort of killing frenzy. Oh why did she have to pick this Friday to come to school. Usually she would skip mostly every Friday so that she could have a long weekend. This one Friday she decides to be a good student and actually come to school and look what happens to her. That would be the last time she does that, that's for sure.
Deep down she knew that if her father could, he would have found some way to get her out of this mess. She needed to stop acting like every little thing was the end of the world. This whole thing would blow over eventually, or so she hoped. Things seemed to always get much more worst than she thought possible in her life. It wouldn't surprise her if the school blew up or something, leaving her children without a mother. Well, without a mother until James remarried again which hopefully would take many many years or Kelsey would haunt him from the grave. If anything tragic like that happened of coarse.
"I'm going to go insane here," Kelsey sighed, wiping her eyes. She wanted to try and keep her cool, knowing that she was going to need all the mental stability she could get within the days to come. By the end of this week, if she was not out of the castle, she would probably be in some dark corner rocking herself back and forth or something like that. Kelsey always did tend to take things to the extreme.
As she began to calm down, she knew that getting mad at her father was not going to make this situation any better. Sighing, she sat up more, keeping herself close to her father. "I'm sorry for getting so mad. I know how hard this must be on you. I just thought it would be easier for me to get through this if I were mad and blamed everything on you," Kelsey sighed, continuing to wipe her eyes. This was a more mature side of herself that had been discovered when she became a mother. She was able to look at things a bit more rationally now that what she could before.
"Are you sure James and the twins are going to be safe?," Kelsey asked looking at her father with hopefully eyes. If anything happened to them, anything at all, she would be a mess. They were everything to her. If they died, she would kill herself, she knew it. There was no way she could live this life without the most important people in it. "Is there a way, any way at all, that I could at least talk to James? Please dad, any ways at all, even if it is only once," She pleaded yet again, hoping that inside this castle was a way for her to talk to her husband one more time. If there was one ounce of good luck out there for Kelsey then there would be some way for her to talk to James. Some small little way.

Robert sat there, starting off at the far wall. He was distracted once more by the threats sent to him. Robert has his suspicions about who was sending them, the more he thought about it. Jack could very well be sending them - then again, Robert was still confused about that entire situation. In fact, he really wanted to scratch out his own eyes after what he saw between Cassandra and Jack. Hell, Voldemort was probably rolling over in his non-existent grave right about now over it. Robert liked to think so. Heck, if Voldemort was still around, none of this crap would be happening. Robert would probably still be a Death Eater, Hogwarts would be much different. The world would be much different - maybe not better but, different.
"I'm used to being blamed for everything by you," he replied, with a hint of humor. Robert expected it from her half the time. He wondered if maybe it was his fault this was going on. Maybe, in some underlying reason, he was. The fact was he didn't know. No one knew really, not yet. Robert wished he knew, so he could fix this. Hopefully it would blow over soon, because Robert just decided that once things here were straightened out, school would close early for the summer holiday. He needed another vacation. A long, long, long vacation.
Robert looked down at Kelsey and nodded. "Harry will keep them safe, don't worry," he said. He felt his words were almost empty. While Harry, being head Auror and all, knew what was going on, who knows what could happen. Nothing would happen to those two little babies, nothing would happen to James, nothing would happen to anybody. Everyone and everything would be fine. TO keep himself from losing it, he had to think that over and over and make everyone else think the same thing to avoid panic. Heh, panic. He feared that when he made the announcement in the great hall in a couple of hours, student would freak out. Robert didn't blame them, he would too but, he was his job to not let them get too crazy.
He sighed and shook his head. "It's too big of a risk Kelsey. The only communication coming in or out will be between me and the ministry - even that is risky. We don't know who we are dealing with," he explained. Robert wished he could do something but, the chance was too great for him to take. He couldn't make an exception, even just this once. "Your mother is probably going to hate me for awhile because of this," he mused, failing to try and lighten things up. Robert's heart felt heavy, having to leave Mandy alone for who knows how long. He had promised to never do that again, and now he had been forced to. Robert hoped she would understand that.

Kelsey was trying to tell herself that everything was going to be okay. This lock down would hopefully only last a night or two and then she would be able to go home and have things go back to normal. However, deep down inside of her, living in the pit of her stomach, she knew something more terrible was going to happen. This were going too smoothly lately for this to be the only thing terrible to happen to Kelsey. Whenever things would start to go good for her, something ten times worse would happen, followed by something twenty times worse. This lock down was something ten times worse for her so she could only imagine what could happen next. Why couldn't life go smoothly for the seventeen year old for once in her life?
"You're just an easy person to blame for things. I am really going to try and stop doing that though," Kelsey said, smiling slightly at her father. Even when she was in the worst of moods her dear old father could somehow make her smile a little bit and forget her troubles for a moment. She was going to try and stop being so hard on her father. She was used to instantly blaming him for all of her problems which wasn't right. Most of the time it was her fault for all the troubles that were brought onto her. She always did seem to screw up everything in one way or another.
"I know Harry will take care of them but I want to be there with them though. They are my life," Kelsey sighted, a sad look coming onto her face and her eyes looking at the floor. Her whole life was dedicated to the twins and James. Without them she would probably be spiraling out of control with some sort of addiction or headed down the wrong path in life. At least now her only addiction was sex and the occasional glass of vodka and her life was dedicated to her two beautiful children. "I'm not going to be able to sleep without them. I'm going to be worrying all night. I haven't slept by myself since the twins were born and even before that it was only like twice a month," Kelsey sighed. She was scared to have to sleep in the single bed in her dorm room with no one to talk to or no one beside her. Worst thing was she had a dorm room all alone at the school so she would be totally alone. She hoped with all of her heart that this would only be for one night.
"This sucks! I haven't spent more than a couple of hours away from those babies! It would be easier if I could at least talk to them, even for a minute," Kelsey sighed, feeling her hopes of talking to her husband being squished. Most of the kids with boyfriends who go to this school were lucky. They would be able to not feel so alone while trapped in the school. That was what she got for marrying someone older than her. "She will understand Dad. It's not like you had much of a choice. Though if she goes into early labor or something then she will hate you. But I doubt that will happen," Kelsey said, trying to comfort her father but failing miserably. All her life she always had trouble with saying things she shouldn't in certain situations. Like mentioning her mother going into early labor would not ease her father's mind like she hoped to do.

"You're just an easy person to blame for things. I am really going to try and stop doing that though,"
Blame was practically Robert's middle name, among others. No one blamed him more than himself. In some way or other, he found a reason to blame himself. There was a long, long list of things he blamed himself for. A lot of the things Kelsey had gone through, he blamed himself. He made no comment about her response, he just kept quiet. This whole situation could very well be his own fault. Robert just really couldn't think of who woud - wait, no there was someone. The Jack Lestrange that wasn't dead.
Robert grunted as Kelsey mentioned sleep. He hadn't slept since he had received the first threat letter. It had been several days since he slept. He doubted if he would ever be able to sleep until this whole thing was over. Robert felt tired, dead tired. He was afraid to sleep. If he went to sleep and something happened ro someone in the school, fingers would point at him. It would automatically be his fault. Sleep wouldn't come unless he was dead....which could happen too. Robert had grown used to sleeping wtih Mandy. Her steady breathing is the sound that put him to sleep. Sometimes, he wouldn't even sleep, he'd just watch her sleep. Without her everything seemed empty. It was for her own saftey, for her and the baby.
"Though if she goes into early labor or something then she will hate you."
Gee Kels, thanks for the pep talk. Robert sighed, "I hope not." he said. The thought had crossed his mind once before. If something happened and he wasn't there, he would never forgive himself. If anything happened to anyone he cared about because of all this, he wouldn't forgive himself. Robert leaned his head back against the desk. He almost felt like banging his head on it but, didn't. "If I miss..." Robert started, glancing and Kelsey and then back to the floor, his eyes burning. "...I missed a lot of your life, of your brothers and I regret that more than anything. I won't....I won't do it again,"[/b he said quietly.
