Rose walked into the common room, her mind completely set on what she was doing. She and Maddy were going to have fun tonight. Rose had been stressing for 3 months, ever since the beginning of school. Everything had been going topsy turvy, especiallywith her sister. Rose had done some snooping around and all she could really get back to was Tiberius Greyback. She was convinced something was up with him. It was settled. She would go have fun tonight, and go to Astronomy class tomorrow with questions. There was no other way to do it. So, Rose saw her friend on the couch, and ran behind it. She swung her hair over and into Madelyn's face. "WE are GOING out TONIGHT." She put emphasis on "tonight." Maddy had been so tied up with Brendan, she hadn't had fun with Rose in a while. But Rose was prepared for all of Maddy's excuses. She has homework, nothing to wear, blah, blah, blah... The outfit was on her bed upstairs. It was great that she and Maddy were about the same size, waist wise. Maddy was short, but if she did it right, she could pull of Rose's clothes. "You have NO CHOICE!!!" She was 100% dead set on this. She took her hair out of Maddy's face, hopped over the couch, and sat on Madelyn's legs. Rose really wanted to do this. She hadn't been out or to Hogsmeade in so long! "Maddyyyyyy....." She was ready to threaten her friend, she was so desperate. She put on her pleading smile and sad eyes while her wand stuck out of her shirt. "Madddyyyyyy."

Madelyn sat in the common room, her potions book laid open on her lap. She had an exam on Monday, but she couldn’t seem to pull herself together long enough to focus. Images of Brendan and the day that they became a couple clouded her mind as she looked out the window onto the grounds. That was a good day for Maddy, what was better than Quidditch and then getting a boyfriend right after?

A mop of blonde hair fell over Madelyn’s face, breaking her mind away from her wonderful daydream. It didn’t startle her at all, it was just obnoxious. Rose did that to her multiple times a day. “We are going out TONIGHT,” Rose said. Maddy grabbed a lock of the blonde hair that covered her face and jerked it down. “Why do you always have to disturb the peace?” she said jokingly, “And anyway, I can’t, Professor Harker gave my class an assload of stuff to study for the exam on Monday.” “You have NO CHOICE!” Rose said. The blonde mess disappeared and Maddy prepared for what she knew was on its way. She flung her book onto the table just as Rose jumped over the couch and sat on her legs. “Maddyyyyy….” “I told you that I have to study!” “Madddyyyyyy.”

Rose’s thoughts popped into Madelyn’s head. Dammit. She really needed to learn how to control her ability. Rose was prepared for all of her excuses. Well, that wasn’t much of a surprise considering that the girl was practically her other half. “But I have nothing to w-“ Madelyn cut herself off in mid-sentence. “Damn, the outfit is upstairs, on your bed.”

Maddy grabbed Rose’s wand out of her shirt. “Fine. Mobilicorpus,” she said calmly as she poked her friend in the chest with the wand. Rose was lifted up off of her lap and set down on her feet in front of her. She could sense that her friend enjoyed that; she smiled and got up from the couch.

Madelyn headed toward the staircase that lead up to the girls’ dormitories, grabbing her Potions book on the way there. She paused at the base of the stairs and turned around to face Rose. “You are coming right? I’m not going up there by myself,” she stated plainly. Over Christmas break, Rose had pretty much spent the week at the Taylor’s house. The two girls spent the whole week watching muggle horror movies because Madelyn refused to go outside in the snow. Rose didn’t seem to be scared of any of it, probably because ghosts weren’t a big deal to wizarding families. After that week, the girl never went anywhere by herself. Rose didn’t help with Maddy’s fear when she told Nearly Headless Nick to fly through the common room at night. Madelyn almost dropped dead she had been scared so badly.

Rose walked over toward the stairs. Maddy motioned for her to go up in front of her. As her friend walked past her, she stuck her wand back down her shirt. The girls walked up the stairs and into the girls’ dormitory. They entered the room where Maddy and Rose both slept and on their way to Rose’s bed, Madelyn threw her book on top of her trunk.

Rose was truly and purly happy when Maddy agreed to come. She didn't really have to fight with her, although Madelyn probably read Rose's mind and realized that she really didn't have a choice. Her friend obviously must of read her mind, because she realized that the outfit was upstairs on the bed. Maddy grabbed the wand out of Rose's shirt and levitated her off of Maddy's legs and onto her feet. She loved that. Magic was Rose's favorite thing in the world. That, and at the moment, partying. She badly needed to get wasted out of her mind. She hadn't partied in too long. Rose had such a dramatic change. It went from her being the crazy party animal, to her mother dying, and her leaving to become the responsible, more pure person, to stand alongside her sister. Rose hadn't seen her sister in a while, and missed her dearly. But it was difficult when Bella didn't remember her. So, she would let loose tonight. She would go back to her old self for one night. I think that's one of the reasons why I'm friends with Maddy... Rose thought. I can be the reckless one around her. I can be myself with her. Maddy stuck Rose's wand back down her shirt as they went upstairs. She stood in front of the bed and looked down at what she picked. The look on Maddy's face told her that her friend was a little bit disturbed by how little, and yet how much there was on the bed. There were plenty of accessories, but not much clothes... But Rose was already dressed, so Maddy had to have known that she wouldn't be dressing much different. This was how Rose dressed when going out for a wild time. And her friend needed to blend in. "You don't like it?" Rose hoped her friend would wear it. She had been so sure this was perfect for Maddy. Well, she could probably find something else if she had to.... Rose looked around to make sure no one was around before bending down to open her trunk. "I wouldn't give these to just anyone...." Rose said as she pulled out a pair of black heeled boots. They were her old party ones. They were a lucky pair, or so she thought. She wore them when she lost her virginity, and ever since was convinced that everytime she wore them she would get some. So far, she had never been proved wrong. They probably wouldn't be lucky for Maddy, considering she had a boyfriend. But they would look great on her. "Use them well, my friend." She said and handed them over. Rose sat down on Maddy's bed and waited for her friend to decide whether or not she would wear the revealing outfit she picked.

Madelyn looked down at the clothes on Rose’s bed. There was barely anything there. “You don’t like it?” Rose asked. “No I don’t,” Maddy said laughing, “It’s more of something that you would wear.” She picked up the skirt and held it up to herself. “This doesn’t even reach the middle of my thigh…” Madelyn should have known that her friend would do something like that, pick out clothes to wear, but barely any. Rose was much taller than Maddy, and the girl could only wonder how short it would be on her friend. Her eyes skimmed the contents on the bed and stopped when they reached the fedora. “I am not wearing that,” Madelyn said to Rose. She never wore hats, unless it was her zebra hat or something like it.

Rose bent down and opened her trunk, pulling out a pair of black-heeled boots. “I wouldn’t give these to just anyone…” she said. At the sight of the boots, Madelyn’s head flooded with images of hot guys and sex. “You bitch!” she jokingly accused her friend. Maddy started laughing as she realized that those boots were like guy magnets to Rose. “You know I’m not single anymore,” she said with a smile. She was dating Brendan at the moment, the guy that she had crushed on since second year. Madelyn was so happy with him, and she didn’t know what she would do if he left her. Maddy just kept laughing. She knew that she was starting to spend a lot of time with her boyfriend, but was it really that bad?

Madelyn picked up the skirt and the shirt, walking into the next room to change. There was no way that she was going to escape from this now. She changed into the ‘barely any’ clothing and picked her pajamas up off the floor. She walked back into the room that her friend was waiting in and threw her pajamas on the bed. Maddy twirled around once to show Rose and stopped at the foot of the bed. She sighed looking at the shoes. Heels weren’t a problem for the girl. In fact, she could walk in any pair of heels that you put in front of her. It was just that she hoped that these particular shoes wouldn’t give her as much luck as they gave her friend. Secretly, Madelyn wanted to flirt around later, but she knew that she couldn’t. Brendan trusted her, and she didn’t want to break that.

Rose knew what Maddy's reaction to the outfit would be. But she would change into it anyway. Rose knew she would. But Maddy's reaction to the boots just set her over the edge and Rose collapsed in a fit of giggles. She almost forgot that Maddy could read minds, and probably saw all the images that had flooded back to Rose. Poor Maddy... She didn't have to see that. But Maddy was somewhat right about having a boyfriend. But Rose wasn't trying to get her laid, but trying to get her to have fun. Those boots were good luck and would make Maddy more of a tease, which would make the night more fun. "I'm not trying to get you laid, Maddy. I am more than aware that you're with Brendan. But these will complete your outfit and give you more of a tease look. I would wear them, but I think you should use them. I have used up their luck a little too much, so I think I'll rely on myself tonight rather than my boots." Rose winked at her friend as she went into the other room to change her clothes. When Maddy came out and spun around, she clapped and smiled. "Sexy. But we can't let Brendan see you in this. It'll put him over the edge he'll want you so bad." She threw back her head and laughed a hearty laugh. Tonight was going to be fun. And who knows? Maybe Rose would actually find someone. Without the lucky boots. She plopped herself on the bed so that she was laying down and looking at the ceiling. Rose sighed a deep sigh, trying to let all of her emotions out. She was once given advice from someone she had been dating, who took her out one night, and Rose had been so objective to it. She kept saying why she couldn't, until he turned around, looked her in the eyes and said. "Time out. Take a step out of your life for 5 minutes. Live a little, and take 5 minutes away from everything. I guarantee, you will feel much better." It had been the best advice. Rose remembered walking in and having her first beer in that bar. When she saw the surprised look on his face, she had said: "Time out, remember? I'm takin five minutes. And that five minutes is gonna need a beer." Rose sat back up and came out of her flashback. Good times... But these were good times too. She never had Maddy before. And now she did. These were good times too. Rose got up and hugged her friend tightly just for the need of a hug. "I love you, Maddy."
