“Katie does it look like I want to take violet to the festival?…No of course I don’t! She’s thirteen, why can’t you or her father bring her? Come to think of it, why can‘t she go with her friends it‘s not like she‘s nine or ten.” Really was it necessary for her mother to be shouting her bloody head off? Danielle just remained calm as she finished applying her makeup. The witch had no intentions of going to the festival herself let alone bring her annoying little sister. Danielle found the festival dull and boring, it was a place where people got together to catch up, she’d rather do that at Hogwarts because in all honesty at the festival she had a habit of running into all the wrong people. No way in hell was she going.
Growling under her breath, Danielle couldn’t believe she let herself be forced into this. Glaring at Violet, “Well run along, go play or whatever. I’ll be over there, most likely sitting on one those benches.” She pointed out where she’d most likely be sitting before letting her little sister take off and run along to her friends. Looking down at herself, Danielle sighed why couldn’t she have changed into something a little more comfortable like slacks or something. The witch felt a tad bit over dressed for the occasion but then she took a glance around her and noticed half the women here where dressed as if they where going to a freaking fashion show.
Placing her sunglasses firmly on top of her head as she hurried over to the bench, hoping no one else would steal it before she got there. Thankfully everyone else was too occupied with the amusements and stuff, things that Danielle felt slightly too old for. Sighing as she placed her earphones in her ears, Danielle hit the play button on her ipod and sat there contently listening to music, hoping someone would join her.

For a second day running, Rolf and Luna had decided to visit the Summer Fest. Despite meeting Lily and the other girl from Hogwarts, it hadn't been too exciting yesterday and he had no higher hopes for today. Selena, he thought her name was... Lorcan's memory wasn't too great, really. It had improved as he got older and made an actual effort to be more observant, but he frequently found that the problem in classes if his attention wandered or he didn't take enough notes – it was also hell before exams, trying to get everything into his head and stay there.
[yellow]At least the chips were nice...[/yellow] he pondered idly to himself, finding himself heading back in that direction. Again, there were no animals in sight to catch his attention, so he dug a hand into his pocket to see how much money he had left from yesterday, the answer being 'not much'; or, more precisely, 'not enough to get chips again'. He really would have to write an article for his grandfather sometime soon. He was always grateful enough to pay Lorcan some money, and even if it wasn't a huge amount it was appreciated.
Eyes on the chip stall, Lorcan wasn't really paying attention to where he was going. And, because of his bad memory, he didn't even remember that the bench he was sitting on yesterday was right in his line of walking. And of course, being as clumsy as he sometimes could be – not as much as his father, but still quite a bit – he went tumbling over the moment his legs collided with it.
Blinking in confusion from his new position on the floor, Lorcan leaned his head up to see what had interrupted his passage, seeing both the bench and Danielle sitting there, apparently listening to music. [yellow]"Uh... sorry..."[/yellow] he apologised, head still tilted upwards as he watched her, not thinking of moving just yet. [yellow]"I didn't mean to disturb you..."[/yellow]
