That had to be her favorite smell. The smell of the water hitting the pavement after a hot day. It smelled clean and new while the picture above was breathtaking to watch. As a kid she always sat propped up in her window watching the sky light up, crackle, and boom. Clarice Belby loved just about everything when it came to the rain. Besides the newness that it graced the world with, it also brought the chance to dance in the rain. It was a cliche little girl thing to do, but Claire loved the feel of the rain as it prickled her skin. Her mother called her crazy and always snapped that was no way for a young pureblood girl to act and at the time Claire had taken her mothers words very seriously, along with her approval, and since mommy didn't like that little Claire didn't do it.
Now however, as she was reaching the age of becoming an adult and was by herself, her mother didn't have that much say in what she could and couldn't do. While Claire would always listen to her mother and respect her, she still wanted to do the things she wanted to do. The same thing went to her entire family as well. While she had both of her brothers at the school watching out for her, she still wanted her freedom. She hated having to keep her secrets from them, but as a teenager, Claire had done quit a few thinks she wasn't proud of. Maybe they weren't things she would have done, had her parents been present, but even the girl always doing what she's told has to have a bit of fun in her life, right? So while Claire wasn't going to go out and get drunk and sleep with strangers on the rainy afternoon, she was going to head up to the one place she always went to when the thunder made its first boom- the astronomy tower.
While she probably should have done something more productive, like homework or set up a meeting with her brothers as it was already October and they hadn't really talked since then, in the end, however, she decided against it. After all a good rainstorm only came once and a while and at least this way she could enjoy it. With the soundproofed charm now in place over the dorms, hearing the thunder wasn't an option any longer. Claire figured that over all sound-proofing the dorms were a good idea. After all who in the right mind wanted to stay up at night to listen to that awful racket and besides that, who wanted to deal with the annoying teenagers in the morning after only a couple of hours of sleep? But while Claire understood why they sound proofed the rooms, it didn't exactly come enjoyed by the people who enjoyed the thrill of a good storm. Then again, those people, like Clarice, weren't exactly sane themselves.
As she climbed up the steps in the direction of the Astronomy tower, she gave a few polite hellos to the people who passed her in the hallway, helped give directions to the owlery from the third floor, and chatted with a good friend she hadn't caught up with since summer. By then the storm had died down and she felt she was missing the best part. She smiled politely to others as she passed, but now she was walking at such a semi-quick pace that they hadn't bothered to stop her and if they did the rare 'nice Claire' would be replaced with her Slytherin self and shoot them a glare. She'd made it up to the astronomy tower and thankfully for her the storm seemed to pick up. The blonde let out a sigh of relief, as she pulled the blanket form the bag that had been slung around her shoulder. There was no way she was laying on the cold and dirty ground just for the fun of it. Once the blanket was on the ground, her thin frame followed suit. Her eyes traced up the ceiling, her eyes catching the lighting flashes from the window and the thunder shook her body as it boomed from above. Claire may have been a bit insane for loving the sound of a thunderstorm, but as she laid there there was no doubt about it, she was peaceful. --------------------------------------------------- TAGGED: tiberius greyback STATUS: complete! Tiberius Greyback was working late into the night for Astronomy. The new term had just started and life was hectic for the professor newly out of Hogwarts. It came as a shock to him that the Headmaster and school professors let him teach Astronomy. They were at a shortage of professors and Tiberius had always excelled at Astronomy. Of course, not many people knew he was a werewolf. The thing that came as a bigger shock was the fact that his twin brother, Demitri Greyback was chosen to teach History of Magic. Dem was a complete player who cared for nothing but girls. It was the actual reason he chose to teach. And History of Magic?! What a joke!
The Greyback professor hated his brother beyond compare. Part of him knew there was a demon inside, but the other half refused to succumb to that. At a young age, it just started at the point where they competed for everything. Literally everything from grades to girls to Quidditch skills. Now Demitri had lost interest in everything but girls. He had even stooped to the pitiful level of raping girls. Their relationship at turned into genuine hatred. It was even possible that they would attempt to kill at the sight of each other.
Putting down his papers, Tiberius breathed in and out deeply. Anger and disappointment swelled in his head. Luckily, it was not a full moon tonight. Otherwise, he would probably find himself waking up exhaustedly in the middle of a forest with scars, bruises, and what not on his body. Well Tiberius did not need to have it be a full moon to transform into a werewolf. This was a quality that he shared with his dead father. But during a full moon, the Slytherin would forcibly be turned into a werewolf. He had forgotten to take his Wolfsbane Potion for this month. It was the one flaw that he had. Sometimes Ty would not remember to take the potion and would end up running in the forest for his monthly evening rampage. Jack had arranged that for him and made sure no one other than expressed by him knew about his...problem.
Tiberius Greyback was not the most down to earth person you would ever meet. This meaning that he was quite full of himself in public and tended to have reservations toward the people whom he would allow to be seen with. At the top of the list of people he would not allow to be seen with among others were Hufflepuffs. At least, Gryffindors could be commended and respected for their ‘bravery and loyalty’. Ravenclaws were somewhat intelligent. What good were Hufflepuffs? That was his basic attitude and mindset towards that house. One example of such a girl was Dominique Weasley, now the Hogwarts Nurse! It may have sounded personal, but Tiberius absolutely hated her. She was cocky, outspoken, and irritating. Nothing like what a 'model Hufflepuff' should be. Much less a Head Girl for Hogwarts. So maybe his dislike for Hufflepuffs was just personal and completely irrational. But that was just the person he was.
Tiberius Greyback was perfectly aware of what others thought of him. His close friends praised his deeds. Most girls thought he was a sweet talker to have a onetime fling with. Any other people who were not in those two categories despised him. The majority of school teachers did not like him either. Either because of his cockiness, his talents, or his family history. And the boy was not very proud of what kind of tag his family had written on them. They were outcasts. Being called such things as traitors, evil doers, and the sort. Constant rumors swung around about him, his brother, and his two sisters. Whenever one of them passed a group of students, they were eyed weirdly and whispers filled the halls and ears of everyone there. Professor Jack Lestrange was the only exception to that select group of people. He believed Tiberius had potential to lead and to take charge of the werewolves during the rise of a new Dark Lord. Tiberius had pretty much already made his decision to be a Death Eater...and he was proud of it. But in reality, Jack Lestrange was just another person that he wanted to learn from. To obtain a level of power. And his use was over. Tiberius Leonardo Greyback was already a Death Eater under Bellatrix Lestrange. And not just any old Death Eater. He was third in command. The boy restrained an awkward smile from reaching his lips at the thought.
Luckily, it was not a full moon the night before. It was quite awkward getting up this morning for Tiberius Greyback. Most times, he would be hung over from drinking the night away. He would sometimes be found exhaustedly sleeping due to a night out as a werewolf.
Tiberius Greyback got up from his desk and walked over to his bookcase. He was about to grab a book from it, but he hesitated for a second. First, the Professor looked around him to make sure no one was there and grinned. Then, he pulled out the book slowly and breathed in deeply. It was his favorite book and of course, it was about Dark Magic and Death Eaters. Every time he read it, it seemed to fill him with energy and could turn even his worst day into a day worth remembering. Taking the book back to his desk, Ty skimmed through a few pages. This book held the darkest secrets of the Death Eaters and Dark Magic itself. It witheld information on Lord Voldemort's power and the Dark Lords before him.
Suddenly, Ty heard the sound of thunder and slightly jumped at it. It caught him by surprise. Soon after, the sounds of rain pattering on the roof of his office filled his ears. For some odd, profound reason, the Astronomy professor felt the urge to go outside and just sit in the rain. Slowlly, he rose from his chair and walked to his door. Hesitantly, Tiberius opened the door and walked out into the chilly, damp evening. Instantly, the fresh smell of rain filled his nose and he smiled slightly. The werewolf walked forward just a step before stopping. Ahead of him, in the middle of the North Tower, staring upward at the ceiling. He hesitated for a second, but some instinct in him told him to move forward toward her. The last bit of light during sunset glistened her sillouhette. Another crash of thunder and lightening took place and the room brightened for half a second. Walking up behind the blonde girl, Tiberius was slightly at a loss for words. He strolled slowly in front of her just to see who she was. Seeing her face, he realized it was one of his students and former Slytherin housemate: Clarice Belby. With a smile on his face he greeted her. You know...most people would be inside on a day like this." A playful smirk found its way to his lips as he looked her in the eyes waiting for her reaction.

just stay with me now, say the words and we'll go* I'LL BE YOUR TEACHER, I'LL SHOW YOU THE ROPES ----------
Growing up with in a pureblood family, Clarice, Ryan, and Garrett, were all taught similar values that their mother and father were taught when they were both children. They had proper etiquette, mud was for the crazy muggle children, they were taught manners, and proper tongue and speech. It truly stuck within the kids minds. They knew they'd have to make names for themselves, and for that they always acted as they were told. Clarice, who as a child, was always the soft and quiet one, who stayed as far from trouble as one possibly could, at least when no one was looking.Garrett was the smart one. everything about him screamed smarty-pants. It just meant he was able to talk his way out of whatever trouble he was in. It was Claire and Ryan that got along like a cat and dog. As they grew older they became so distinct and different that their mother had to constantly watch her back. Yelling and screaming like wild bandits around the house, things came crashing down in their wake, and when things began to spin out of control, you could bet Ryan and Claire were somewhere near by. Where as you could almost always see Garrett feeding the cat or helping with dinner, Claire would be off doing Merlin knew what. Despite the fact that she was a it of a destructive mess, she never strayed from what her mother told her to do. When it came to thunderstorms, however, it was a different story. Rain had been the only thing in her childhood that she actually disregarded her mother about. While she was often one to stop heated arguments, she was also rather bubbly and floated amongst them rather nicely. Her family was important to her. She was proud of where she came from, which couldn't be said about the vast population in the wizarding world and muggle teenagers alike.
Sitting there on the cold stones of the astronomy towers floor, Clarice felt like she was a small child once more. Her body seemed to jump at the first clap of thunder. It wasn't that she was scared, but the sudden power of it all seemed to over take her. While the castle had been quiet this place was terribly loud. A shiver feel across her body and a smile fell present on her face. This was what she loved, the unexpectedness of when it was going to happen. The lighting flashed across the sky once more and Clarice admired its beauty, each one uniquely different with its own pattern and length. While they each only lasted for a second the sparks and branches seemed to stay lingering in the sky in the background of the dark storm clouds, never actually fading. Then she felt a different presence in the room with her and then her ears picked up the sound of his familiar voice.
She'd glanced above her to see the face that was standing above her. She gave a small grin before she propped herself up onto her elbows and spun her body to face his way, as she let her bright blue eyes glance his way. Tiberius Greyback, now that was a name she knew. Tiberius had been a year above her and just graduated. He was now teaching astronomy at Hogwarts. Now Claire didn't know much about him. She knew that he was pretty smart, that he had siblings, that he was a Slytherin when he was at Howgwarts, and that he was far from a commitment kind of guy. She wasn't sure if he liked astronomy, if he wanted to be a professor, or if he knew who she was. Clarice, having heard through previous sources, and of course history and family names, that Tiberius and his brother were apart of verydark magic and Clarice would go as far to say that she was interested in the very dark things that they were apart of. Clarice wasn't exactly a girl of many virtues, if any at all. So while she wasn't sure why he ended up here, but now that she was sitting alone in the astronomy listening to the thunder, she was thankful for his company.
"Well, I'm not like most people," she spoke, her voice sly and slow as she let her eyes linger on him, before glancing toward the flash of lightening that had just struck, probably striking a tree its naturally destructive nature. So what had urged her professor to head up to the tower on a day like this? She wasn't sure, but she surely didn't mind, company of any kind, especially his, wasn't something she turned away. "It's destructive, I like it," she said, and it spoke so much about herself. Clarice wasn't exactly a smooth, selfless kind of girl. She liked things that were destructive because she was very much destructive herself. Her features lit up as the thunder blasted through the sky and her body shook as the thunder boomed. "Well, since you're here and have already intruded on my peaceful day, you might as well join me, don't you think? Or would that be breaking some rules of some kind?" She raised a brow as she watched him, unsure of how he'd react to such an 'innocent' proposition.

Tiberius Greyback was never really the norm of the Greyback household. Sure, he was the pupil of his parents' eyes. Even if they never really agree on anything and sometimes had their own fits and starts. Truth be told, Tiberius was unlike either of his parents or his siblings at that. He was gifted with magical abilities beyond most witches and wizards' beliefs, but that was the same with the whole Greyback family. His father, Fenrir Greyback, was as special a werewolf as they came. Not only was he a very powerful wizard, but could also change into a werewolf at will. Not only at the full moon like most werewolves. Fenrir also served as the martial of the werewolves and a close servant of Lord Voldemort himself. Now that hope was to be revived with Bellatrix Lestrange...but without his father. Fenrir Greyback was killed by one of Ty's mentors: Jack Lestrange. Now the former Slytherin hated him for it. But that anger had transcened into power. A power and determination for revenge. Though...part of him knew he had a soft side. A side that would prevent him from fulfilling his destiny and place in the Death Eater ranks. Someday, he would dissapoint all those Death Eaters looking up upon him, whether it was in praise or sheer smug.
The newly enshrined Astronomy Professor was at quite the stalemate in his feelings toward the rest of his family. Yes, he loved his father. But to this day, Tiberius Greyback was unsure about Demitri, Helena, and Leila Greyback...and even his own mother, Cassandra. Cassandra Greyback was quite the figure. She had always been a flirt. At least, until she was tied down with his father. Now that he was dead, she went back to freely spending her time intimately with other men. It angered him. Made the insides of his head beat heatedly. On the other hand, his brother Demitri. He was a terrible flirt. Not only that, but to satisfy his desire for sex he went to extents such as rape and opening a brothel. It was safe to say that he was not exactly the model child of the family. Neither was Tiberius, but he was the closest thing to it. Next came his little sister: Helena Greyback. What could he say? They had been close since birth. It was like an actual feeling of them being a family together. If they were ever in need of anything, they came to other one first. But recently, their relationship was also a bit stagnated. He did not know why. Yes she was having sex and yes she liked it a lot. But all the Greyback kids had that problem. Leila and Ty had never been really close. Sure they didn't hate each other like Demitri and him, but the pair never really spent time with one another. And of course, now she was engaged to Jacob Peace. That bastard manwhore who co-owned the Greyback brothel. Hopefully some semblance of a family would exist in the end. Damn he had a screwed up family.
Tiberius Greyback now found himself in the middle of the North Tower face to face with a familiar Slytherin girl named Clarice Belby. His deep, mysterious eyes were locked on her face. There was only one way to describe her: Extremely beautiful. Yes she was smoking hot. And even though they had not talked much, he already had an attraction to her...and even a bit of a lust. Who wouldn't?! Ty didn't know much about Clarice apart from the fact that she was a pureblood and had an older and younger brother. Suddenly, a flash of lightning ran across the sky followed by the booming sound of thunder. The Tower and their faces lit up for a momentary second. He kept his eyes on hers just studying her. He smirked softly at her words. "Well that makes us two of a kind then." Tiberius said quietly. A gust of wind blew past them and made their hair sway lightly. The last remaining rays of light set warmly on his cheeks as the cold evening would soon follow. "You like destructive? Well that's refreshing. You really aren't like other people." As the last of the shimmering light setted, he took the opportunity to examine her from head to toe. And as he expected...a picture perfect body. Every curve and feature. A smile appeard on his lips and rush of adrenaline found it's way down his spine. "Well, since you're here and have already intruded on my peaceful day, you might as well join me, don't you think? Or would that be breaking some rules of some kind?" A smirk found it's way to his lips. Her innocent look didn't fool him. Two could play at this game. And it definitely was a game that Tiberius so enjoyed. Moving slowly towards her, the Astronomy Professor replied. "Oh I would very much like to join you. And I believe I could bend a few rules here and there. You're quite the exception if I may so myself." Finally, he sat down next to her and looked at her momentarily before looking back up at the disappearing light and the dark shroud settling over the sky. Maybe tonight wouldn't be so boring after all.
Notes: Yeah right! Mine stunk. Your post was out of this world!! Anyways...sorry for this crappy post. Can't squeeze anything good out these days.
