"Fully alive! More than most, ready to smile, and love life!" [/b] The seventeen year old Gyrffindor's voice rang out loud throughout the grounds. Not that anyone was around to hear her anyway. It had to be the coldest day so far in October, and yet there she was, Brooke Lynn Alexandra, dancing aorund the grounds singing loud and perfectly on key. She wore a red sweater, black jeans, and a hat with black bear ears sown onto it. She felt like she should look like a moron, at least, that's what she felt like, not that she cared. But one thing she knew was that most people watching her were in awe. If there was anyone out to watch her. She finally stopped prouncing around and layed down on the dew covered grass. She should be getting inside, where it was warm and there was food and friends. But she felt like she should stay where she was. Looking up at the tree she was laying under she realized why she felt so peaceful and safe there. This was her tree. It was probably the largest tree in the entire yard, with a fat trunk and large, strong branches. It's leaves were always the brightest green, and there were alwasys so many of them in the Spring time. She remembered coming to the tree in the beginning of term, torn up over a disturbing prank some pathetic Slytherin played on her, that she decided to beat up the tree. She had taken out her wand and used every legal curse on it, awaiting for it to collapse. But it was stronger than that. Stronger than she was. Finally, after kicking and screaming at the tree, she had slouched down against it's strong, yet battered trunk and cried. Another time was when she red an entire novel, from page one to page one thousand and fifty in one of the branches. She had always been a tree climber in her younger years. She couldn't help but wonder if she was as good a climber now. Brooke looked around the grounds, her emerald green eyes scouting the area, making sure nobody was around. When her check came out good, she grabbed the lowest branch and began to climb. This is so easy! I can climb this. Almost at the branch she remembered being able to be a comfortable-ish seat and able to hold her weight, she slipped and came to a tumbling fall to the ground. She attempted to grab onto a branch, but all that did for her was cut up her hands. finally, she hit the ground, back first, and had all the wind knocked out of her. She rolled onto her side and clutched her side, gasping for air while, at the same time, laughing. Finally, the young Gryffindor girl caught her breath and she continued to lay on the ground, her bright red hair sprawled out around her head above her. She knew there must be a bunch of c**p in her hair, but that could easily be fixed with a nice hot shower, which would probably help the soreness she was sure she'd face in the morning. In that same instance though, the sun ducked perfectly below the horizon, the colors of the sky to become a perfect blend of purple, orange, and red. She watched as the colors danced their imortal dance and smiled a simple word escaping her lips, "Beautiful." the word becoming a cloud of white air, visible only due to the cold. "Thump."
Raising heads thump was heard over a small hill from a boy laying in the grass relaxing and most likely napping. It was a nice afternoon, the sun was warm on the skin even if the air was cold. He was holding his plaid hoody to his body as the breeze was cool, made the hair on his arms stand up. Slowly pushing up he tried to peer over the small hill but failed. Quickly he stood up as he heard laughing, now the picture was clear there was a girl on the girl starring at the colorful sky. Bright red sweater stood out from the dark green grass, which had made her heard to miss. But just in case the boys blue eyes traced the grounds from any other source of the sound.
With no answer, he reached up and pushed his hair back and then stuck his hands in his pockets. Slowly he walked over to her, the best idea was to ask if she was okay. It was the only thing he could think of doing since she got quite suddenly. While crossing part of the lawn he spotted a red and white hat with ears on it, peering back at the girl he noticed her say something softly. Quickly he snatched it off the ground, and peered at the stitching it didn't seam ruined at all but there were a few leaves attached, which then he realized the tree was part of this factor. Looking up at it as she walked towards her rather quickly, he stopped next to her.
"Are you alright, and is this yours?" he said holding down the red and white stripped eared hat. With a curious face, eye brow slightly raised. "Do you need to go to the hospital wing?" he said realizing she may be in pain, and may need to be helped his voice showed concern for what looked a girl about a year younger then him, but then again every one did. Alex had missed a year of school being imprisoned in the death eaters hide out for the entire of last year which had supposed to be his last. Though thirst for knowledge begged to finish schooling, so he could repay those who had held him hostage. Tagg; Brooke Notes; Sorry its short, my muse is slowly coming back to life. Outfit; Clicky
