YOUR ARE THE ONE, THE ONE THAT LIES CLOSE TO ME; HERE IN MY ARMS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -I fell in love, in love, with you suddenly. Now there's no place else, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Why am I here? Kat found herself asking in her head, glancing around the underground bar here. In all the time she had lived in England, she had no idea that this underground place even existed until yesterday. Someone had come into her cafe asking her on a date, and Kat was far too polite to say no. This didn't seem like a date at all, though. This seemed like he was trying to get her drunk and get laid, which certainly wasn't going to happen. Katalina was no that kind of girl and he would probably find that out this evening. Hastily walking into the club, she avoided the certain wolf whistles and stares in her direction. The stares were probably because she'd never been seen in this part of town before, and the wolf whistles... Well she was going on a date, she wanted to look nice. The evening was still young and yet there were drunk people floating around already. Kat didn't know whether that was a good thing or not, this was the first time she'd ever been in a bar before. She had no idea why she had agreed to this when she glanced around at her surroundings. At least it looks clean... She thought with a thankful smile. Most places like this weren't nowadays, she had heard.
Looking around for her date, Kat noticed that he hadn't shown up yet. She didn't know whether or not that was a good thing. It could mean that he was spending a long time getting ready so he looked nice for her, or it could mean that he wasn't going to show up. Kat had never been stood up before, but apparently it happened quite a lot. She'd only ever been on a few dates in her lifetime but they had all shown up on time and looked nice. Glancing at her watch, she noticed that she was ten minutes late herself. Maybe she was too late and he'd gone without saying so? She walked up to the bar cautiously and asked the tender whether or not her date had arrived yet, and the barman told her that he hadn't, but was a regular customer. Katalina was thankful that she didn't stand him up, and sat at a bar stool facing the door, waiting for him to arrive. She was sure that he would show up; he had come all the way into Hogsmeade to visit her and ask her out, and it did take quite a lot of convincing. He wouldn't go through all that trouble just to stand her up, would he?
Minutes passed and soon turned into hours. She still sat patiently waiting for him. She glanced at her watch once more. An hour and a half late. He wasn't showing up... The very first time Katalina had ever been stood up and it was at a place like this... Brilliant. She turned to the bar and ordered herself a coke, not wanting to drink on her own. It was one thing that Kat never did; drink alone. She grabbed her coke and paid for it, before taking a few sips. She received some odd looks from those around her; it probably was an odd drink to order from here. It didn't seem like it served a lot of them. Nevertheless, Katalina wasn't put off. She would drink whatever she wanted and they would put up with it. Her chest heaved as she let out a deep sigh, and she rested her head on the bar in front of her. She didn't know what to do now.

There had been days where Amelia was questioning her sanity... and today was one of them. She had found another thong in the laundry that she did not remember wearing, let alone buying and she began to wonder just what Thomas was doing out every night. She knew that Robert Leblanc and him were out drinking every other night, and she was not one to barge in and tell him he had to be home. She was not like that at all. She loved her husband and trusted him. Well... She wasn't sure what to think about her trust with him. More and more hints gave her the idea that he was cheating on her, but her love and loyalty to him wanted to over-power that.
She did not turn to alcohol ever, except when her best friend came over and they wanted some fun. But a really good drink from a really good bar sounded really good. She walked into the Trojan bar and looked around, smiling. She loved how it looked in here... the lights, the people, the music, and even the bar itself was something quite spectacular. She marched over to the bar and sat down, looking around for the tender. He popped up in front of her and started juggling shot glasses. She laughed lightly and began chatting with him about the bar. He quit his circus act and leaned on the bar, interested in what she had to say. He was quite fond of people loving his bar. He nodded and explained that it was a lot of money, but worth it's weight in galleons. She smiled at him and ordered a malt scotch on the rocks in a tall glass. She smiled as he flipped the bottles and cups around and then set it in front of her as he caught the glass in the cup. She clapped and paid him a few Knuts for the drink and then he had another customer to help.
She looked over and saw a woman sitting there. She had her back against the bar, what looked like a coke in her hands, and was sipping on it through a straw staring at the door. Amelia raised a brow at this and wondered what she was so alert for. Was there something going to happen that she didn't know about. She looked around and saw a few co-workers there and she waved. They waved back and then stumbled on to the dance floor. Oh, she was going to have fun with them in the office tomorrow... loud noises for the hung over, galore! She giggled lightly and took a sip of her scotch. She ordered a water and sat a while.
After about an hour, she saw the same woman, sitting in the same place, staring at the same door. Maybe she was stood up? Shame. The poor girl looked so elegant tonight and Amelia found herself glaring off guys that approached her that the girl did not seem to know. She thought about it for a moment and then she decided to go over to the girl. She grabbed her drinks and walked over and sat down next to her. "Hello there... were you expecting someone?"

Katalina jumped a little at the sudden approach of the other female. She was pleased for the company, however. Maybe this way it would stop men she didn't know trying to come up and hit on her when she really didn't want them to. She doubted it, though. The other girl herself was quite pretty, and she was sure to be getting some attention when she was here with her, even if the girl herself wasn't all that interested. Katalina guessed that the girl wasn't interested in going home with a male or something along those lines tonight. If she did want that kind of thing, she would not have come over to keep a female company. Unless she swung that way instead? Kat decided not to worry about it; it's not like it would have mattered if she was. Kat didn't judge at all anyway. She gave a warm smile to the girl in welcoming. She realised that she had a lot to explain, having just sat there staring into space thinking instead of actually responding to the girl. It wasn't that she didn't want the company, it was just that Katalina was quite shocked at the sudden approach. She did appreciate it though. At least she wasn't completely on her own that way.
In response to the girl's first question, Katalina nodded her head. "First time I've ever been stood up before," she said in a sheepish voice. She wasn't normally a shy person upon first meetings, but her obvious stand up was quite embarrassing for her and Katalina didn't quite know how to respond to it. It was humiliating to think that you're not wanted enough to even get sent a text message to cancel, but she didn't want to be hostile and send the girl away. That's where the shyness came in. Kat was shy that she had been stood up since it made it seem as though she was a bad person who deserved it or something. Hopefully the girl would judge Kat for herself instead of going by someone standing her up. It was then that Katalina realised she had been staring into space and thinking again. She did it quite a lot, and it irritated her. Often it annoyed the people she was speaking to as well, since it meant that they had no idea whether she was actually listening to them or not. She was always listening, just sometimes zoned out accidently.
"I'm Katalina, you can call me Kat," she said after a few moments. Her voice was a bit more confident this time, but still had that sense of shyness in it. She wished that she could be her usual outgoing self, but unfortunately it didn't seem to be happening today. She took a gulp from her coke and placed the glass back on the bar, turning back to the girl in front of her, determined to listen more carefully from now on. [/blockquote]
