YOUR ARE THE ONE, THE ONE THAT LIES CLOSE TO ME; HERE IN MY ARMS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -I fell in love, in love, with you suddenly. Now there's no place else, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Katalina was never normally an impulsive person. She had self control and it often took over anything else she wanted to do, whether she wanted it to or not. Sometimes she felt awfully boring for not actually doing things spontaneous or out of the ordinary, but it was a part of who she was and there was very little she could do to change that fact. Kat didn't know whether or not she would actually want to change that about herself anyway. She wouldn't ever change herself for anyone else, and so she didn't really feel the need to change for herself either. It wasn't as though she would ever be happy with who she was as a person, so there was little point in changing to make herself happier. It probably wouldn't work anyway. So her self control was staying, and there wasn't much that could break through that barrier. Unfortunately, one very large thing could for Kat. Candy. She had such a large craving for sugar that it was hard to control herself, even with her personality the way it was.
It was because of this that Kat found herself hurrying to Honeydukes. She hadn't had anything sweet for a while and she found herself needing it, or else she felt like she would die. Yes, Kat was a drama queen. She liked to exaggerate things a lot and make them seem a lot worse than they actually were, but she would always be serious if the conversation or meeting needed to be. It was a chilly day and she pulled her jacket closer to her body as she neared the familiar doors of the store. She felt instantly at home as she entered. Her back straightened and her head was held higher. Kat was always proud of her posture; she could stand as well as kings and queens and for that was never ashamed of her posture in places or speaking to knew people. She had spent hours practicing how to stand as she did, though. It had paid off, if it hadn't Kat would have been awfully disappointed. Was just as well that everything worked out how it should have done.
She wandered around the store aimlessly, trying to find something to crave her needs. There was far too much choice in Honeydukes; that was the only problem she had with it. She just had no idea what to get. Kat was rather wealthy from her parents and could buy pretty much whatever she wanted, it was just finding what she wanted that was the issue. She glanced around, seeing if there was anyone there she knew who could help her.

It was something that Ryden had a craving for today,he didn`t know what yet but he hoped that he would figure out, since he hated to have a craving for something and not knowing what it was. He was getting bored in his apartment today. He felt like he had nothing to do today, but he didn`t like it very much when it got too boring either. Ryden just lied in his bed looking up into the ceiling wondering what to do. He was hungry for something, craving something. He closed his eyes and tried to see if he could get the taste of the things he craved. It wasn`t quite there yet. He sighed and opened his eyes again and rulled out of the bed, getting onto the floor reaching for some clothes that he could put on and wear today. He found a pair of jeans and a grey long sleeve. He got ready to go outside and do something. He walked down the stairs and out on the street. He looked both ways and wondered what way to take so he headed down the street to where Honeydukes is.
Ryden hadn`t had much to do after he graduated from Hogwarts,he had become a little lazy after that. Hanging out most in the apartment and with some of his friends, and his brother when he had time for him. He didn`t go too much to parties either, but he had his days where he went out drinking. Ryden approached closer to Honeydukes and he just thought about how all the candy in there tasted,it was so sweet and you could get really hooked on it. Ryden thought that he could make a stop there. He opened up the door to Honeydukes and that`s when it hit him,it was candy he wanted and craved since this morning. Ryden just smirked and shook his head a little and walked around in Honeydukes. He looked up and down the shelves and at the tables with everything in there. There was so much to pick from.
Ryden walked backwards a few steps and then he bumped into something or someone,he stopped for a few seconds and then turned to see what it was. As he had fully turned around he saw that it was a girl he had bumped into . "Oh sorry about that..i didn`t see where i walked" Ryden said and smiled to the girl.

Katalina gasped a little as she was bumped into. She turned to face the person who had done it, and gave him a smile when he apologised. At least he wasn't rude; just bumping into someone and walking away. The bump hadn't hurt Kat at all and so she wasn't really all that fussed by it, but she still wouldn't have been impressed if he hadn't apologised or something. "Don't worry about it. I should have been looking, too," Katalina replied honestly. It wouldn't have happened if she wasn't standing in the middle of the store dazed, just looking for someone. She glanced him over and decided that he seemed nice enough, and so Kat shouldn't feel intimidated or concerned. She was never one to be judgmental for anyone else, but that didn't mean that she didn't get shy if people seemed to be somewhat cruel or unwelcoming.
"There's too much to pick from, huh?" She asked, glancing once more around the various shelves and stands. She decided that she fancied something chocolatey, which did narrow the choice down a little. Katalina was a typical female in that she absolutely adored chocolate. It was her one weakness; just give her some chocolate and her defenses will lower dramatically, or even fully. Thankfully the only people who had ever known that hadn't taken advantage of it, otherwise she would have been in trouble. "I'm Katalina, by the way," she introduced, realising that she was being awfully rude for trying to have a conversation with this man without even telling him her name. Kat was always one for the appropriate manners and they never failed her. That was probably because of her upbringing with her parents, and their middle class background, but in some ways Kat knew that she would have kept her manners up even if it wasn't for her parents. She held her hand out for him to shake in a greeting manner.
It was then that she decided to pay some extra attention to this man in front of her. He was rather good looking and that made Kat blush a little. She wondered what kind of person he was like, and realised that it could all have been shown through the handshake itself. If he kissed it instead of shook it, he was a romantic passionate person. If he shook it tightly and aggressively, he was an aggressive and confident kind of person. It was as simple as that for Katalina. She always had been a good judge of character, and couldn't wait to find out what kind of person this man in front of her was. [/blockquote]

Ryden looked at the girl and smiled softly at her. "Ah no worries i am the one who bumped into you so i still should be the one to apologize" he said and smiled some more at her. He checked her out a little and found her to be very pretty and attractive. Ryden was sure that he had never seen her around here before, but then again he hadn`t been much outside lately. He maybe had missed out on a few things then and he definetly missed out since he hadn`t noticed this girl who was standing in front of him. She seemed to be looking around for some candy as well,Ryden smiled softly again at her.
"Yeah there is a lot to pick from in here i feel like i can never get done in here to decide what to buy" he said and looked at her. He looked around some more, wondering where to start looking for something to pick out and buy. Ryden looked back at her when she introduced herself to him. " Katalina..well i`m Ryden " Ryden said and looked at her some more. She seemed to look at the choclate a lot and he knew that girls usually loved to eat choclate. He had heard that choclate can cure a broken heart or something. When girls ate it they got more happy he had noticed. Ryden grabbed her hand to shake it,it was a firm grip but not too firm either. He shook it three times. "Nice meeting you " Ryden finally said.
The more Ryden looked at her the more attractive he found her. He let her hand go after a few more seconds. "Uhm..so what are you gonna buy from here?" He looked at her and asked. Ryden was as always a curious guy when it came to new people and he wanted to know more about Katalina,if he got a chance to do it.

Ryden was polite, and that impressed Kat. Too many people nowadays would just introduce themselves and then make an excuse to leave. It made making new friends a lot more difficult, but that didn't really phase Katalina. She was perfectly happy to be on her own, even if she was a social butterfly. Just because she could make friends didn't mean that she needed to be around them all of the time. She was quite an independent person at heart, and could always manage just fine on her own. She did still like being around people sometimes though. She wouldn't be able to be on her own all the time, that's for sure.
But going back to the previous point, being polite was sure going to get a long way with Katalina. She appreciated that people made the effort to try and be polite and nice and welcoming and it would mean that Katalina was more likely to get along with them than if they had no manners at all. She also noticed that his handshake was firm but not aggressive, and that impressed her also. It showed he was confident but not an angry person.
Glancing around the shelves one more time, Katalina grabbed a handful of chocolate frogs and a handful of sherbet lemons, placing them in a small bag. She gave Ryden a sheepish smile, almost embarrassed at her love for sweets and chocolate. It showed a weakness in her and Kat didn't often show people her weakness, let alone complete strangers. Still, she couldn't help it. Hopefully he wouldn't think she was a snob for being able to afford everything she was getting, since she really wasn't. She was appreciative that she could afford everything and often made it up to her parents for it, but she certainly wasn't a snob for it. "I'm a sucker for sweets," she responded with a shrug and a slight giggle. "What about you?" All of this shopping for sweets had made Kat crave a butterbeer, and she wondered whether Ryden here would accompany her to somewhere they could grab a drink afterwards. [/blockquote]

Ryden got a good impression of Kat.She seemed to be a really nice person and not one of those who just huffed and kept walking. She at least started talking and stood next to him and talked and kept him company here. Ryden liked that. He smiled and looked at her some more. So far Ryden liked what he saw and had nothing to complain about.
He noticed that she grabbed onto some choclate frogs and some other goodies and put them into a bag. He smiled back at her when she smiled at him. It was cute the way she had a craving for the goodies too. He looked at some of the candy too and picked out what he wanted and put it into a small bag himself. Ryden flashed her a brighter smile. " Yeah me too i have a big sweet tooth when it comes to candy..i just can`t help it " he said and looked her over. There hadn`t been many girls that Ryden had good contact with. He looked around some more to see if there was anything else he wanted to put into the bag. He just liked candy that had salt licorice flavor and cherry flavor. He was hooked on that stuff. He found some candy with those flavors. He put it into the bag and turned to Katalina again. " So what are you doing when you`re done in here?" Ryden asked her.
He wanted to know Katalina more and he was more interested in her. " if you don`t mind we could go somewhere and talk if you want to " Ryden suggested. The truth was that Ryden didn`t want to be alone today,he felt like having company and he hoped that she might wanted to do that. But he understood if she didn`t want to do it too,Ryden was just getting rejected by girls and he wouldn`t be surprised if she did that too. He sighed softly and glanced over at her.

Katalina thought it was sweet of him to agree with her point. It did make her feel less embarrassed about the whole thing, and actually pretty normal about it all. She glanced around the shelves some more, before deciding it was best to stock up on everything so she didn't run out as quickly. This was the logic behind her actions, although she knew that she was going to have eaten them all by the end of the day anyway. That's how much her sweet tooth really bothered her. She threw in a few more bits and bobs from the shelves in the bag. Glancing inside it, she gave an estimate of how long it would last her and was pleased when she thought it would last her until the evening. "I can't help it either. Much too delicious. I just wish it was all healthier," she said with a laugh. It didn't really bother Katalina that they weren't healthy though. She exercised a lot and was in great shape, and funnily enough she had never had any cavities from all of the candy consumption.
He asked her what she was doing after this, and it made her wonder whether or not he wanted to go onto somewhere after. The last time a guy had asked her out anywhere, she had been stood up and had felt humiliated. Still, it couldn't happen if she was there already and so was he, right? It probably wasn't even a date thing, just two people getting to know each other as friends. That's what always happened with Katalina. No one ever thought of her as anything other than a friend. It wasn't as though she minded, though. She didn't need a relationship to be happy. If something came along then great, but if not then it wouldn't bother her.
She rid her head of these thoughts and he then went on to say that they could go and do something afterwards to talk. That sounded great to Katalina. It would be nice to have some company today; she was rather used to being on her own lately. "That'd be great, actually," she told him with a warm smile, getting rather excited at the thought. Ryden held onto his bag that was filled with candy. He looked around in the store some more making sure that he had picked out the stuff he wanted. And he was pretty sure that he had the things he needed to get through the day and satisfy his sweet tooth. He looked over Katalina and smiled some at her. " Yeah..it could be a bit more healthier but then again..it`s not..and i don`t mind it that much " Ryden said and grinned at her. For years Ryden had been eating sweets and all his teeth were still there and no cavities in them. He wet his lip and looked at Katalina once more.
Ryden smiled bright when she agreed to accompany him after they were done at Honeydukes. "Yeah..well that`s great uhm we could go to the three broomsticks if you want to and get a butter beer and talk some more" he said and kept his eyes on her. It made him a lot more happier now that he knew he wouldn`t be alone for the rest of the evening. He was going there with Katalina and that kept him smiling some more. " Uhm..if you`re done here we could pay for the sweets and go there now..?" he suggested and smiled.

It seemed as though Kat and Ryden had a lot in common and shared the same view on a lot of things, and that made Kat smile. It would be nice to have a friend like that. She didn't really have all that many since she had left Hogwarts and she did get rather lonely quite a lot. She did try and find friends, of course. Just seemed like she had lost contact with a lot of the friends she used to have, or people just weren't all that interested in company at the moment. That was another one of the reasons that Katalina was so pleased with him wanting to spend time with her today. He seemed to want some company and friendship too and that's what Katalina needed right now. "Yeah. I know what you mean. I don't care either." She decided to let him know what she was thinking. It couldn't hurt, after all.
She noticed that Ryden seemed quite nervous about the whole going onto other places thing and Kat didn't know why. It was just a friend thing, right? That's what she assumed, and she didn't see any reason for him to be nervous for that. Nodding to him, Katalina made her way to the counter to pay, glancing back to make sure he knew that he was allowed to follow her. "Why do you seem so nervous about moving onto another place? And The Three Broomsticks sounds great to me, by the way," she asked, deciding it was better to ask now rather than later. At least it would give them something to talk about too. [/blockquote]

Ryden looked at her. " Me..nervous..i`m not nervous it`s just that i don`t want to ruin the chance to get to know you by being too forward you know..i have burned myself on that many times" he said and smiled. " I lose more friends than what i keep so.." Ryden said and looked at her. " Okey..then the three broomsticks it is " he said and grinned at her. He put the bag on the counter and payed for the candy. He moved to the side so Katalina could pay for hers too. It was true what Ryden said. He had lost people more than he could keep,at least that was the way he felt about it. And he really started to like talking to Katalina and wanted to have a friendship with her right now,if they got more involved later on then Ryden wouldn`t mind that at all. But now he wanted to stop thinking like that and just let things happen. And right now he was gonna spend the evening with Kat.
He smiled at her as he waited for her to get done by the counter so they could head on the way to the three broomsticks. " So..what do you do Katalina ? " Ryden asked her,to start a conversation on the way down the street.

What Ryden had said made sense to Kat, so she decided not to press the matter any further. She could understand what he meant; some people did get put off by others being too forward. In some ways it was disappointing: that you could lose a friend by being too friendly with someone. It didn't really make much sense to Kat, but it meant that she was always really careful with what she said around people. She always thought before she spoke to make sure that no one got accidently offended or something. She wished that she didn't have to, but with people overreacting about everything nowadays it had to be done. Placing her objects on the counter, she paid for her goods, a little shocked at how cheap they had all come to, before thanking the person serving her and walking out of the store with Ryden.
Katalina was a little nervous herself and she didn't know why. Normally she wasn't shy at all, and she had recovered from her earlier embarrassment, so she didn't know why she was getting nervous again all of a sudden. Still, she gave him a warm smile and stared walking down the street. He asked her what she did, and Kat didn't know how to reply. She did own her own cafe, but she didn't need to. She just did it for a hobby and got all of her money from her parents. If she told him that though he may consider her a snob. But she didn't want to lie... "I own my own cafe, actually. Just down the street here," she responded after a moments thought. She wasn't lying, right? "What about you?" She asked him, enjoying speaking to him greatly. [/blockquote]

Ryden walked down the street with Katalina and enjoyed it. He looked at her and she told him that she owned her own cafe. " Oh yeah..that`s nice..is it the nice little cafe down the street here ?" he asked her and smiled. At least she had something to do during the days Ryden thought to himself. Ryden wanted a job but he hadn`t found anything to do yet, could always ask his brother to work at Indulges stripclub but he wasn`t sure that he wanted to work at that place. Maybe sometime later or during the weekends as a bartender or something. "I don`t do anything..unemployeed" Ryden said softly and wasn`t really happy about that. He sighed and looked at her. " You know about anyone who wants to hire someone?" He asked her.
They were outside the three broomsticks now. " Here we are " Ryden said and smiled and opened the door, holding it open for Katalina. Ryden walked in after her and looked around to see if they could get a free table or a booth. " Table or a booth ?"he asked her and smiled.

Katalina was shocked that he was unemployed. Not a lot of people could afford to be at the moment and it made him wonder whether or not he had enough money to live without having work. It wouldn't have been a good thing if he did have enough money, of course. Katalina would kind of be in the same boat as him really. He needed a job and honestly Katalina could do with the extra help around. There were only two people who worked there besides her chef, and that was her and some other girl who wasn't around all that often. It might seem a little forward to offer him a job then and there but Kat didn't really see anything wrong with it herself. "You can work with me if you want. I really need the extra help," she said honestly, giving him a friendly smile.
They arrived at the Three Broomsticks quicker than Katalina had imagined, and she thanked him for holding the door open for her. Not many men did that nowadays, Katalina had noticed. She was pleased that some still held the gentlemanly manners that a lot of others had somehow forgotten about. "I don't mind. Which would you prefer?" She asked him. A booth would probably be better for getting to know each other more, but a table may be the only thing that was available or what he preferred. Either way, Katalina didn't mind at all. Whatever he preferred. [/blockquote]

As they walked Ryden didn`t say much,he just looked down at the ground as they walked. He just hoped that she knew about some place where he could get a job. They were both silent for a few moments, but then Katalina said that he could come and work for her. That brought a new smile to Ryden`s face. " Really..i can ?" he said and smiled brighter. " That would be great and i would love to help around in the cafe" Ryden said and looked at her and then just out of the blue gave her a hug. "Oh sorry..didn`t mean to throw myself at you like that" he said and smiled and laughed softly. She just made his day.
As they were both inside the three broomsticks he looked at her. " Uhm..i would prefer a booth actually" Ryden said and looked around for a free booth. And just their luck there was a free booth.." over here " Ryden said and smiled. He walked over to it before anyone else took it. He looked over at Katalina and waved her over.He smiled and took sat down and removed his jacket.

Katalina was surprised at his excitement. She hadn't known that he was that desperate for a job, but then again hadn't known him for more than an hour at the most. She just hadn't met anyone so excited about getting a job before. It made a refreshing change. Besides, it would be nice for Katalina to be around someone around her age more often. Adult company was so different to the student she already had employed, not that they were bad. It was just a whole different experience and Kat knew that she would benefit from it. He then hugged her and that surprised Katalina quite a lot, but she was pleased.
Katalina had never been one to mind public displays of affection or affection from anyone, including strangers. It made a change for her that someone shared the same view she did, so she hugged back tightly. She hadn't received a hug from anyone in a while and it made Kat feel all warm and fuzzy inside, even though it was just from a stranger. She loved affection given to her; it just made her happy. So far she was really enjoying her day. And as luck would have it, there was a free booth. She followed him over and sat down, removing her jacket. It was a chilly day and a jacket was necessary. "So did you want me to get this round?" She asked, giving him a friendly smile. [/blockquote]
