Petra sat quietly in the common room couch finishing her homework. It was pretty late so no one was up and if there were, they weren’t making any noise. She didn’t mind since she like peace and quiet while she was doing school work. It had been two weeks since school started and she was piled high with homework but that was her fault. She decided to slack off which wasn’t normal for her. She was a straight "A" student and top of her class. She looked down at her Charms Homework. She had to find 15 charms that can protect anyone for Dark Magic. It was suppose to be easy. Right? Wrong! She had to be herself an over examined all the charms finding the faults in every charm. None charms can really protect someone from Dark Magic but she was saying that because if anyone use any of these charms on her she would already won well if someone use the tickling charm on her well it would be too late for her. “Perfect!” She wrote the charm down and started finding other charms that would put her in a bind. “This isn’t too hard.” She said proudly to herself as she wrote down the last charm needed. “Done with my homework!” She said as she stretched her arms. She leaned into the couch. She finally done with everything and now she had time to relax. She really needed a life outside of homework but her best friend just got married. Lisa was doing things that she really didn’t want to know about. Rachel was occupied with Alex, who she didn’t really like that much. Alex had to put it in her face that she was too dangerous for her to hang out with her best friend. She might be a DE but she would never put her three best friends in harm’s way. Alex on the other hand put Rachel right in the middle of everything and he had the nerve to blame her. She even blew up on him the first time she meet him. She looked down at her watch, it eleven thirty at night. She felt too lazy to go up to her room that she shared with Lisa and two other girls she didn’t know. It was too much worked to get up the stairs but she would eventually have to get up it. She wasn’t even her pjs yet. She covered her face with her arm and closed her eyes. It was late at night, or later then usual for the boy to be out. He had to sneak about the halls to make sure that he wasn't caught by a prefect or professor. Especially after this night's... "events". The truth was that he had been pulled into one of his brother's crazy pranks and had been forced to stay around to cover up for him, seeing as he failed to do so for himself. Luckily he managed to squeeze out of his brother trying to follow him to the Slytherin entrance to make sure he got there "safely".
Now he was entering the common room, trying to be as quiet as possible so that he didn't wake anyone up that might hear him. As it was, he wasn't suppose to have been out and about, so he didn't need a reason to have to explain why he was just NOW coming back. Of course, his response would linger around it all being his twin's fault. Then again... he shook his head. That would only get him in trouble in the long run, and there was no need for that. Plus... if he ratted out on his gullible, naive brother, who would be there to watch out for the idiot?
He was satisfied that no one was awake until he actually got into the room. Someone was awake, and sitting on the couch. Going silent, he stood there, trying to think about what he should do when he noticed, with relief, that it was only Petra. Caylum moved towards her and the couch, and came to a halt beside it, wearing a small grin.
"What are you doing up so late?" he asked, waiting a second before he made his way to the other side of the couch and sat down. He had tried to strike up a conversation, so he mind as well hang about for a while, right? Besides, he liked her company.

Petra moved her arm off her when she heard someone voice. She sat up and looked around and her eyes finally stop at Caylum. She hasn’t seen him all summer and she didn’t even hear a word from him either. “I should be asking you the same thing.” She said rather coldly though she didn’t mean to.
She should just get over it since after all they weren’t dating or anything. “I was finishing homework that I needed to catch up in.” She said with a smile on her face and she felt herself blushing. She was rather nervous which wasn’t normal for the young slytherin girl, who was known to have her few flings now and then. She was best friend with Lisa and Carina so that said a lot for her social status in Hogwarts. She knew that the other girls in the school label her, Lisa, and Carina sluts of the slytherin house but she didn’t really care. She knew that they where jealous of them and how they all got some much attention from the boys.
But each of her friends was slowly but surely falling in love. Lisa had Liam. Carina had Scropius. She was too nervous about love and at this point she didn’t want to fall in love again. She still had the scars that Trevent left when he broke her heart after he told her that he loved her. She was still reluctant to believe another guy telling her that he loved her but it didn’t mean she should give up the whole theory of love. She’s just waiting for the right guy. In the mean time she should just date guys she liked and hope that she might fall in love with one of them.
“So how was your day?” She might as well be friendly after all she couldn’t be angry about him not talking to her all summer even after they did kiss. He wasn’t her boyfriend, yet.

Caylum was surprised by her cold tone, he hadn't been expecting such a reaction. He kept his expression calm though, as he had had much practice in doing so with other people. He wasn't sure if she meant to come across with such a tone or not, but nonetheless, it wasn't like didn't deserve it. He had hid away for the whole summer without contacting her, after their... kiss at the lake. He nearly turned red from the thought, but once again, he hid it as best as he could.
Chase had warned him about ignoring whatever it was that he was hiding from him. Even the bumbling idiot knew when Caylum got flustered or was keeping a secret. They are twins, after all, and it had always been said that twins have a sort of mental link. But for all the good advice that his brother actually gave, he had ignored it. He guessed that he was just... embarrassed, shocked, surprised, that that had happened. Yeah, he was running away from it, he couldn't hide that from anyone.
"Oh, you know Chase, always dragging me into his problems," he replied casually as if he hadn't recognized the tone, and then he leaned into the couch, putting his hands behind his head in a relaxed posture. "He did something stupid again and nearly got himself into a royal mess. Couldn't let him get into too much trouble again." He shrugged, closing his eyes. He always had to clean up Chase's messes. For all the good Chase claimed to do for Caylum, he sincerely believed that the boy wound up doing more harm then good, even when watching out for him.
What should he do? He wondered. Surely she hadn't forgotten that he remained in seclusion the whole summer without a word to her. No, he was positive that she hadn't, but she hadn't brought it up, so perhaps she wasn't angry. No, she had to be, who wouldn't be if you had kissed and then the person went nigh missing in all but truth. Maybe she wasn't going to bring it up, and as long as he didn't say anything that could be used against him, perhaps it wouldn't be brought up. All he did know was that he didn't want to make her angry, even though he wound up making most people angry in some way.
"Huh?" he said, opening his eyes and blinking, pulling out of his thoughts as he removed his hands from behind his head and set them in his lap. Looking at her, it took him a moment to understand what she had said to him. "Oh, yeah, I guess. Besides the usual Chase-ness problems, it was alright. The typical boring day, you know. Same as always." He forced a small smile, and shrugged, as if in apology for not being to offer any more... exciting information.

¡§He does tend to drag anyone into trouble when he¡¦s close by.¡¨ Petra started to get her things together. She wasn¡¦t quite sure how to bring up the kiss. ¡§Well that¡¦s Chase for you.¡¨ She shrugged her shoulder. Did she just ask him about it or just leave it be though it wasn¡¦t natural for her to leave things this way. She like answers.
If she wasn¡¦t good at hiding her emotions she would be yelling at the guy. He basically ignored her all summer. She did however needed answers. It was a flaw of hers and she had to live with it though she hated that flaw. She should leave some things alone. Like this was a thing she needed to leave alone but she couldn¡¦t.
¡§oh.¡¨ Petra said simply. ¡§well I guess I know what you mean.¡¨ She said thinking for a minute. ¡§I thought this school was actually going to be exciting but so far it has been boring.¡¨ She was almost bored with school. Last year was horrible but at least she wasn¡¦t bored. She guess it was better to be bored in the long ran. Petra did however needed answers.
She sat there silently battling with herself if she should question him about the kiss or not. What the hell. She should just do what she usually does and be straight forward. ¡§You know if you like someone else you can tell me.¡¨ She said looking straight ahead at the fireplace though there was no fire. ¡§I mean I shouldn¡¦t be wasting my time on someone who doesn¡¦t like me. I have better things to do with my time.¡¨ Petra looked at him for a second and then back at fireplace. ¡§and I don¡¦t want to annoy you so if you do like someone else just tell me.¡¨
Sorry my internet wasn¡¦t working ƒ¼
