Rose rolled her eyes and said, “I’m fine, thanks. Brilliant, actually.” Madelyn laughed. “Of course you’re brilliant. A plan like that is definitely fail proof,” she said sarcastically, “I don’t want to go looking for him because I’m going to get my hopes up and then crash when he doesn’t show up.” Wow. She’s talking about him as if they were playing an endless game of hide and go seek. Rose spoke, “So, if Brendan is your final decision and you don’t give a shit, why are you asking me for advice?” Rose should have known why she was asking her. First of all, Maddy wouldn’t ever think of doing anything with out her friend's involvement. Second, she was really bad at making decisions, hence, this whole meeting. “You know how I am when it comes to making decisions.” Madelyn couldn’t help but laugh at herself. “Ugh. At this rate I’m never going to get married. Permanent decisions are totally not my forte.” She had never really thought of getting married. The seventeen year old knew that she had a lot of time before that day came, and she didn’t plan on it coming any time soon. It was weird for her around Hogwarts. There were sixteen year olds that were already engaged or pregnant. Maddy had no intentions of getting herself into messes like that and she hoped the same for Rose and Kat.
Madelyn layed back down on the grass and looked up at the stars. She possessed the ability to clear her mind and dismiss things that made her upset quickly. It was one of those good things about her. She could easily laugh things off. She could see the stars clearly tonight and wished that she actually paid attention in Astronomy. Yes, she got good grades in all of her subjects, but that didn’t mean that she actually had to pay attention. Madelyn was an expert about acting when it came to pretending to learn something. She propped herself up onto her elbows. “Hmmm, anything happening with you? Any hot guys?” She asked. The guys at Hogwarts seemed to be more attracted to blondes. Maddy was obviously lacking in this department, though she had been blonde before in her fifth year and had been thinking about dying her hair again. One blonde in a dynamic duo was more than enough, she decided. Two blondes would be a bit much.
Notes; lol. If you think about it we have a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead in out little group. XD

Rose smiled at her friend. She seemed to be feeling better, which in turn made Rose feel better. A cold breeze brushed her hair into her face, and she placed it behind her ear. "I know what you mean about not wanting to be disappointed. I would probably feel the same way." Rose said, looking across the lake to the forbidden forest. She still had that strong and quite strange feeling about being there. There was a reason for it. And she felt as though it lay in the forest. But what she was feeling was probably nothing, just her mind playing tricks on her again. What else could it really be? What would be waiting for them in the forest? But she continued to stare at the trees and watched them sway. She even thought she caught a few bowtruckles moving between the branches. Catching Maddy's last sentence, Rose laughed. "You'll probably get married. It's obvious permanent decisions aren't very favorable for you, but when you meet the right guy, you'll know. And the decision will be easy." Rose considered the advice she had just given her best friend. She truly believed it. When a girl found the right guy, she would just know, and vice versa. Rose believed that true love could conquer anything, no matter what it may be. And it would be as easy as getting married and settling down and having children. But even Rose knew that that specific part was very much just a fantasy. It didn't always work that way. Not for everyone. That was her life long dream. To meet the man of her dreams, marry him, love him, and have a family. She wanted a real not family, not how she grew up. She wanted a whole, true, and loving family. And she would get it. Rose was slightly disappointed though when she realized that Maddy had all this to tell her, but Rose didn't have much to dish. At all. "Well.... Not really. I've been asked out, but nobody I felt right about dating. Marcus Harding asked me, and it didn't feel right. Do you get what I mean? Although I think I've developed a crush on Aiden James. You know him?" There truly wasn't anything for her to bring up. Oh well. Her time would come.
notes;; i no rite? very interesting... *stroaks beard in deep thought*

“There’s nothing there,” Madelyn snapped at her friend but immediately apologized. She didn’t know how she knew her friend sensed something in the forbidden forest, but she did. She didn’t even have to take a second look. Minus the fact that I snapped at my best friend, I have to admit that that was pretty cool, Maddy thought. She had underestimated her sense. Rose seemed slightly startled by her comment but shook it off. “You’ll probably get married. It’s obvious permanent decisions aren’t very favorable for you, but when you meet the right guy, you’ll know. And the decision will be easy,” Rose said. “Wow, thanks Dr. Phil,” Maddy said sarcastically, Rose probably didn't even know who Dr. Phil was, its a muggle thing, “I mean it’s totally true, but your answers seem a little too well thought out.” She smiled hoping that Rose would understand. Her ability to read emotions had grown over the past few weeks. It was getting to the point where she could practically read someone’s mind. Maddy’s ability had become almost uncontrollable. She decided that she should probably ask someone about that, and what a better person to ask than the person sitting right next to her. Maddy had almost no knowledge of the wizarding world outside of Hogwarts and hoped that Rose knew a bit more than she did.
“You know how I can read emotions, right?” Madelyn asked, “Well…er” her mind strayed off. She didn’t really know how to word this; she barely knew anything about this at all. She thought she just had a knack about reading faces and gestures, but lately it seemed to be more than that. She decided to go for the simple approach. “I think I can read minds now,” Maddy blurted out quickly. “I was wondering if you knew about any of that crap. Is it a bad thing? Is it normal for a witch?” she soon added. All of these questions were popping up in her head at the moment and she couldn’t bombard Rose with all of them at the same time. She really wanted answers to her questions. Maddy couldn’t read about it in a book because she didn’t even know what this thing was called. The two girls talked about that for what seemed to be hours, or until Maddy felt that she had taken in as much information as her head could hold.
Maddy asked Rose about any hot guys or recent flings that she had. Rose replied. “Well…Not really. I’ve been asked out, but nobody I felt right about dating. Marcus Harding asked me, and it didn’t feel right. Do you get what I mean? Although I think I’ve developed a crush on Aiden James. You know him?” Madelyn was thrilled that Rose was finally asked out after being single for a while. This was great for her. She really needed someone. “Yep, I totally get what you mean and no, I actually don’t know Aiden.” Wow, that was a shocker. Maddy had heard about Marcus, but she didn’t know Aiden. She knew almost everyone in the school, only because she was one of the few students that had been here since first year and actually stayed through it all.

Rose listened to her friend with interest. How had she known that Rose sensed something in the forest? She could read emotions, but she hadn't thought it was strong enough to read something like that. Or had Rose's staring gave it away? "You're probably right. I'm just being paranoid." At Maddy's next comment, Rose looked at her friend like she was crazy. She lived in the muggle world mostly, but with her witch mother. What in the world was a Dr. Phil? Well, it sounded more like a who. "What's a 'Dr. Phil'?" she asked, feeling like an astronaut. And of course her answer was thought out. Rose always spent a little too much time thinking and over-analyzing things. Oh, well. But reading minds? That wasn't normal, but she had heard of such things. Rose had never met someone with the ability, but had indeed read of it. "Reading minds... It's not normal, I'll tell you that. But what I do know is, most people with those abilities have someone else in their family that has it. Any idea of who that might be?" she asked. Rose didn't know much of her own family history, but knew that her power came from her mother. Maybe Maddy did know a few things about her family, maybe not. But most cases where from blood. Others just came out of the blue, but they were quite rare. Extremely rare.
