Sunny days in London town were wonderful, but when there was magic in the air and people were having a wonderful time, sunny days in Hogsmeade were even more miraculous. Gabriel walked down the road, his hands tucked into his pockets and a smile on his young face. Well... he wasn't quite young, almost eighteen was not all that young at all, but still. He looked a few years older than he was. He took a deep breath of the fresh air and looked at all the shops. He was not sure which ones he wanted to go in, if any at all. He could go for a good cup of espresso right now, but he wasn't sure where he could find any.
He had his jacket draped over one of his arms and his green collar shirt went well with his gray slacks. He smiled and nodded to someone that waved at him. He wasn't sure who they were, but they could have been someone in his class that he had spoken to at some point, but there were too many of those people to count. He really only had one true friend and right now, she was in a place he couldn't help her. And it was awful because that was all that he was thinking about: how to help Violet. He had written his mother, but he had not heard back from her and his father about any money they could loan him.
He sighed lightly and sat down on a bench where another woman sat at the other end. He was going to mind his own and wondered if the woman would say anything to him, but he decided to look down the road the opposite side of the bench from her. The bench was a good six-people long, so he figured she wouldn't be bothered if he sat there.

Work, work, work. That is all Mia ever did was work. Did she ever take a break? The answer to that question is no. Mia saw breaks as productive time wasted. She saw every moment as a chance to further herself in the world and make sure she had a bright and successful future. She had only been with the Daily Prophet for two months now and already she had been promoted from and intern to a current events journalist, replacing someone who had been with the paper for fifteen years. That was exactly how good she was at what she did.
Mia sat in her office at the Daily Prophet, going over a few articles that were taken to her to proof read. More and more people were starting to take their stuff to her instead of the editor because she was a better proof reader. Putting down the quill and parchment, the eighteen year old stood up from her chair and walked over to the window. Somewhere out there, there was a story waiting to be revealed. She needed to uncover it, whatever it was. She needed to have an article in by Thursday of that week and it was already Monday. She really needed to get on the roll with this and fast.
The brunette let her writer instincts guide her from her desk and towards the door where she grabbed her multicolored purse before apparating. When she opened her eyes she found herself standing on one of the many long pathways of Hogsmeade village. What possible story could unfold in this quiet town? Mia really didn't know. She was beginning to question her writers intuition for sending her to this place. Maybe she was finally losing her touch. No, that couldn't be. Mia losing her touch would be like the end of the world for her. It was all she had. Well, that, her brains and her amazing ability to make any man's ego crush under her witty words.
Sighing, Mia found herself walking to a bench and taking a seat. There had to be something big going on in the small place. She crossed her legs as she sat on the edge of the bench, alone, watching the people go by. Then, a boy, no older than her eighteen year old self, sat on the opposite end of the bench. Maybe this boy was the story she was looking for. Quickly, the former Ravenclaw took out her notebook and quill, ready to write down anything if an interesting event took place. Would she talk to this boy first? Of course not. Mia often kept to herself and never really approached any unless for a story. Besides, she didn't want to interrupt this boy, just in case he was going to do something that would be new worthy for this reporter.

You know... Gabriel had seemed to find more drama in England than he would have like to, but what can you expect in such a school as Hogwarts? Of course he loved it there, but the rivalry, the drugs, sex, pregnant girls, rules being broken, it seemed all too chaotic. But in a sense... maybe it was drama that was needed in order to grow. Some of those people would grow out of it, and those that didn't would be locked up for some crime or outlandish act. He sighed lightly and then looked over as the woman next to him pulled out a note pad and a quill as if she was going to write something down, but she just looked around.
Odd. Why bring a notebook when there was nothing you were going to write down? But maybe she was just a writer looking for some inspiration... Just wanting to get rid of some... what did they call it? 'Writers block'? Clearing the Russian out of his head, he cleared his throat and then looked over at her, speaking in his thick accent. "Excuse me miss, but are you a writer?" he asked politely. He was never really one to start a conversation, but who knew? Maybe this girl was just as eager for a friend as he was. He missed all his friends back in Russia, Jerusalem, Bulgaria, and France, but he was here, now, and he had to finish his schooling here. He smiled lightly, hoping to get a response from the young lady beside him..

The smart girl. That is all she was to this world was the smart girl. Those three words described Mia like a book would describe its story inside. Mia was always found with a book in her hand, studying like a maniac or just for fun. Knowledge was her best friend. She needed to cram knowledge into her head, without it, she felt alone and empty. She was scared to let people know the real her so that is why she hid behind all the knowledge and facts.
Mia wasn't really what you would call popular. She only had a few close friends here and there and that was about it. She didn't mind it though. She knew that friends caused drama. She would sit down and watch around as the people around her would be caught up in all sorts of problems. Mia was too smart to be involved in any of them. She would rather just sit back and study.
Mia never really had any boyfriends nor did she have any hookups. To herself, she was not that attractive. She felt as though she was awkward and not what guys her age were looking for. She didn't mind though, it was not the type of thing she wanted to get into during her schooling. She just wanted to focus on her work and that would be it. There was lots of time to find love. After all, she was still only young.
As her writer instincts flourished inside of her, she felt a voice hit her ears. It was the boy beside her, he had finally spoken. She let her blue eyes move from her notebook towards the boy, no hint of a smile appearing on her face. "What gave it away? Could it be the fact that I am sitting here with a notepad and quill?" Mia said sarcastically, a hint of coldness in her voice. It was not that the brunette was unkind. Once a person got to know her she was a very nice person. She had always been cold towards new people. Strangers were something she tried to stray away from. She hated the unknown with a passion. And this boy, he was the unknown.
