lucas smiled as he sat on the steps of harrison's and his home,with a shoebox that had a small baby ferret in it.it wasn't very big. it wasn't big enough to eat solid food yet,even lucas could tell that. he had been out exploring a local park, that was close by to their home, when he had heard a soft sound, coming from the inside of a hallow tree base. he went looked inside it and found the baby ferret. he looked for the baby ferrets mother for a long time but he couldn't find her , so he took the baby ferret and cared for it the best he could. he hoped that harrison would let him keep the baby ferret, or at least let him try and find a good home for it. he didn't think anyone desereved to not have a good home to live in or a good family to love and care for and vise visa. he smiled softly as he waited for harrison, she hoped she wasn't mad at him for going to the park, but he was curious and the woman she hired to watch him didn't show up.

Harrison sighed softly as the woman that was hired to babysit her precious little brother hadn't showed up and she was worried and had been out looking for him but couldn't find so she went home in hopes that he had returned there.She looked around and found her precious Lucas on the steps with a box in his hands."hey sweetie ..i was worried sick about you " she said before she kissed his forehead."whats that? " she wondered and took a peak in the box and found a cute baby-ferret and smiled a bit brightly
"a ferret huh .. you want to keep it don't you ?"she said with a big smile and looked at him.He seemed worried somehow but she didn't know why.she sat down next to him and ruffled his hair "I'm sorry about the babysitter.. i swear the next one wont be as incompetent "she sighed softly and looked at him."you can keep the ferret honey ..i always wanted a pet ..i just hope it wont bite me "she smiled and was happy to find that he was okey and that he had taken with him a helpless animal.it was good for kids to have an animal to take care of and she thought of the times as a child she had wanted to take home a squirrel ,oh well she had a plan when she was six to raise an army of squirrels to defend her.

lucas smiled and nodded as he said" really? i can keep it? thank you!"he grinned as he set the shoebox,that contained the baby ferret,down and stood up hugged her tightly. he was happy that she was letting her keep the baby ferret. after a moment or two, he pulled back from the hug and picked up the box and held it up to harrison as he said" i don't think it's old enough to eat solid food. is it a boy or girl? i don't want to give it the wrong name" he wanted the baby ferret to be as happy as possible as it could be. this was the first pet he ever had,so he want to do the every best he could ,

"yeah you can but you have to promise me you will take care of it and feed it , change its cage and everything ..can you do that lucas?"she smiled as her adopted baby brother was such a sweet and innocent child.She kept hugging him back as she enjoyed this new family she had made for herself."ah i dont think so either , hmm boy or girl ..i dont know ,all i know is that males usually smell worse than the girls " she smiled and laughed softly ." how bout we give it a name that suits both genders ..hmm carson ? tyler ? im not sure sweetie"
