all that i had,
was all i gonna get
The days were passing tremendously by. Time was moving quickly. The clouds seemed to pass through the sky at a speed that was abnormal. But Alyson felt that the days were stretching longer, and longer was harder. Harder for her to wake up every morning. Harder to see that her life was worth the breath she took every day. And soon, the days turned to months. Christmas wasn't full of holiday cheer. New year didn't put a smile on her face. Valentine's day was a battle. Nothing seemed to put a smile on Alyson's face anymore. People were beginning to worry. She could tell. But she payed no attention to it. She didn't care that people were giving her looks that wondered if she'd throw herself off a cliff. A few times she'd considered it. There was no reason to her living, if she'd lost sixteen years of her life already. Just like that.
Alyson sat very alone on the balcony at the owlery. Her stressed father had had enough. He was going crazy with Alyson's silence, and the silence was probably irritating him more than it worried him, but ethier way, Alyson had to go back to school. She hadn't made an effort to even look presentable for the first day back. Her hair was tangled, and scraped back into a messy knot, showing her pale skin. There were lines under her eyes, and she looked tired. She was exhausted. She wore a t-shirt and a thin jacket, and jogging bottoms. She stared helplessly into the darkness of the night, where the wind blew harshly against her skin. Her eyes would occasionally flutter, and close for a few moments, but she'd force her eyes to open again, but she felt the tears running down her cheek, tears of loss, of fear.
Faces who smiled at her, she didn't know. People who talked to her, she couldn't remember. And friends who tried to help, Alyson would just stare into their faces, confused and saddened. She couldn't just pick up and attempt to know who she was. Her courage had been replaced by fear, and it didn't help at all that her english had worsened. Without her speaking, she had forgotten some of the english language that she'd had to learn all over again. She'd actually had to learn everything over again. The girl who used to be known as Alyson Goyle, she was gone. Alyson was still here, but only in body. Her mind was broken beyond repair.
