Mandy Odette LeBlanc’s life was progressively speeding down hill and it was all happening in a matter of days. Was it possible to sink so low, so quickly? She had always believed that you reached the top just to fall again, and as she was beginning to believe that she was getting her life back on track, she went tumbling straight back down the hill, one that she had been climbing for the last thirty-six years. Reality had only just hit home, and it had came so unexpectedly, knocking Mandy off her feet, making her feel so small, so weak and complete and utter shit. What the hell had happened to her life?
Now she was a mother of a daughter who was a teenage wife, a rape victim, an alcoholic and a horcrux. She was the mother of a son, who was a vampire, engaged and a soon-to-be father. And for another short period of time, she would be the wife of the cheating, alcoholic headmaster of Hogwarts. Who would have known? Coming to think of it, she’d soon be classified as a thirty-six year old, single mother and newly divorcee. Oh hell no! That wasn’t apart of the plan! None of it was! She had been working on the plan for twenty three years, she had planned to travel the world, get a job in designing, to marry a great guy and at the time, she believed Robert was perfect, that was before he decided to cheat on her with some skank! And then she had a plan to have one child, a son, instead she gave birth to three children, and that wasn’t something she was cut out to do. The plan had been fired out the window after she realized she was no longer capable of doing those things.
Thoughts raced through her mind, memories flashed, and previous conversations repeated themselves. Maybe she was just going insane, she was definitely losing it. That was what she thought as she poured herself a cup of coffee. Life was hard, it was never what you expected, it had it’s ups and downs, and Mandy found herself stranded on the lowest point of her life.
Mandy found she wasn’t strong enough to adjust to the idea of Robert being with someone else, loving someone else. The thought made her heart grow weak. It was a sore thought, one she didn’t want to think about. She was falling and she so dearly wanted him to catch her but, she feared he was no longer that person. It was a sad story, one that she wanted to be rid of, one she was sick of reading. Was it really that long ago when they used to be happy, completely content just being each other, they didn’t need no one else, just each other. It was hard to think that was the last time she was truly happy with any man, with herself. She had to come to terms with the fact that she lost Robert LeBlanc and the chance of him coming back was faint, very faint. Things just became a lot harder when days, weeks, even months passed. Where would they be in a years time? Would they still be in each other’s life or will the young woman do as she said and block him out? No, she couldn’t. Robert wasn’t just an ex-husband and the father of her children, but he was there for her when she needed him, she just hated to know that she wasn’t there when he needed her.
The sharp knife stabbed her multiple times in the heart, the young woman only blamed herself for twisting the knife further. Why was this pain inflicted upon her? What had she done to deserve this? Was her karma really that bad? The pain was unbearable. She couldn’t live with herself, knowing that a man she found herself hopelessly devoted to, was devoted to another. Couldn’t he see she was suffering? Wasn’t it obvious? When Mandy had discovered Robert‘s infidelity, it truly killed her, her heart had somehow stopped beating, and she could feel her knees buckle beneath her, the only thing that stopped her from falling was…Robert. It was always Robert, he was her safeguard, the only person that stopped her from falling. The only time he didn’t catch her was when she fell head over heels in love with him, it was the bittersweet truth.
Sighing as she entered the living room, she took her seat and took a small sip of her coffee, pushing all her thoughts from her mind.

Life was a strange thing. One moment it could be the very best but the next it could be totally screwed up. Kelsey often found herself on the screwed up side. Hell she was the entire screwed up side. Mostly everyone around the wizarding world knew her as the girl with all the problems, though they did not know what all the problems actually were. Just since she had started her sixth year up until the present day, Kelsey had been turned to the dark side, gone out of the dark side, gotten married, re-built her relationship with her father, ruined her relationship with her father, re-built it again, got raped, found out she was a horcrux, became an alcoholic, re-built the relationship with her mother, threaten to run away, quit her alcoholic ways, and was now back in Hogwarts. Who would of thought that all of this could happen to one teenage girl?
Kelsey felt as though Hogwarts was a prison to her. Those stone walls felt like jail bars. All the lies, the gossip and the constant stares she got from people were really starting to annoy her. She found herself becoming more distant with everyone around her. Often times all she would do was just take walks by herself to think about everything. The walks were now not providing her mind any ease. The only real reason why she came back to Hogwarts was because her father wanted her to and the fact that she loved to learn. If Kelsey wasn't so concerned with her grades she would have been out of that castle weeks ago. Also, since Kelsey had stopped drinking she had found herself more and more stressed. She was determined never to drink again but as the time went on, and Kelsey found herself wanting a drink more. Thats when she knew she had to go away for a bit.
Kelsey wanted to go home. For the first time in her whole life she actually missed her mother. Ever since that whole meeting her, her father and her mother had she was concerned about her mother's well being. It wouldn't be easy finding out the man you love has been cheating on you. If Kelsey ever found out that James did that to her she would be crushed. Kelsey had decided that she would spend the weekend with her mother. They both needed to have some quality time together. Without even packing, Kelsey had made her way to her father's office. She wrote him a note stating where she would be and placed it on his desk before heading to the fireplace and saying her house name. She felt her body transport and the next thing she knew she was looking into her living room, facing her mother.
"Mom!" Kelsey said with a smile on her face as she stepped out of the fireplace and shook the soot from her clothing. It felt good to be home for awhile. Kelsey rushed over and hugged her mother before taking a seat next to her, a smile still on her face.
"I hope you don't mind, but I wanting to come home for the weekend! You're not busy are you?" Kelsey asked, her voice happy and her face full of joy. It never felt so good to be home in her entire life. It was the first time that she was actually looking forward to spending time with her mother. She wanted to use the weekend to mend their broken relationship and just catch up.

Life had been an utter fiasco for the Leblanc’s, if it wasn’t one thing, it was the other. Maybe that was why she was turning to Brett for comfort, he understood her, better than most people. His life was just as screwed up as hers, only hers was slightly in the lead. With a rape victim as a daughter, an engaged seventeen year old vampire for a son, and a recovering cheating alcoholic for a husband, her life couldn’t get any better. Mandy had forgotten how long it had been since she had experienced happiness, since she had smile, a smile full of warmth and love. It had been too long, and right now, she couldn’t think she’d ever experience that again.
Mandy understood that life got hard at times, it’s what people called midlife crisis, but what she was living in, experiencing was a living hell. It was tormenting, a torture that any person should be go through what her family was experiencing, the weight of blame on her shoulders. There was times when Mandy didn’t want to wake up, she wanted to just go to sleep and finish with all this bullshit. But as much as she wanted that, it wouldn’t happen, unless she got into St.Mungo’s and managed to steal all the morphine. However, despite of what she wanted, she had to hang around. She had a family to take care of, her children needed her, more now than ever. And her marriage, she had to try and fix it, she didn’t need to a divorce falling onto her shoulders, she didn’t need to be classified as a failed mother and wife. She need at least one good thing in her incredibly screwed up life.
At this time of need, Mandy needed comfort. These days, the only comfort she found was in the arms of Brett, Robert’s cousin’s husband. Was that wrong in more ways than one? But Brett had been with her for years, they had been best friends, he had known her better than anybody. These days, he probably knew her better that her own husband. There was no doubt that Mandy and Robert had changed, drifted. Obviously, considering he had decided to go and screw some other woman, who he was clearly serious about if he was on the verge of leaving her. Mandy had yet to decide whether the fact made her angry, sad or if she was even all that worried. No, she was defiantly pissed, and sad, but it was nothing she couldn’t get over.
Hearing a familiar voice, Mandy looked up from her cup of coffee and seen Kelsey stand there. Had she been expecting her home? No, but never the less, she wanted her there. “Kels,” Mandy said, managing to return Kelsey’s smile as her daughter rushed over to her and embraced her into a loving hug.
“Of course I don’t mind. Does your father know though? I don’t want him worrying if he can’t find you, you know how he is.” Mandy said in a light tone. Robert would most likely jump to conclusions and think that Kelsey had been kidnapped or something, and then he’d put the unnecessary blame on his shoulders. “Busy? I’m never busy these days.” She said with a small smile. “So how has school been?”

In the pit of her stomach, Kelsey had a feeling something bad was going to happen to her. Call her paranoid but things were starting to get a little better and when that happened something horrid usually followed. She would have to watch her steps very carefully for the next couple of days or so. She did not want anything else more to make her life more horrid than it already was.
Kelsey didn't know what it was about this house but it could make her become so calm. Even when she thought that this was a place worst than hell the smell would always make her stay. Of course there were many reasons why she didn't leave when she was younger. One day, when she was thirteen, she had all of her bags packed and was half way down the street before she had turned around and came back. She had always had hope that things would become better with her and her parents. Now, all her years of wishing and waiting had finally paid off. She had never felt more love for her parents than what she did now. She needed them more than ever.
"Yeah father knows. I left a note on his desk after I sneaked into his. I swear he needs to get new security or something," Kelsey said with a smile and laughing a little bit. She let out a content sigh, happy to be home. She couldn't wait to have a nice relaxing weekend away from school and the house elves' cooking. Sure they made good opening feasts, but after that their food got a little bland and Kelsey was craving coconut cream pie like you wouldn't believe.
"School is a complete an utter nightmare. The professors are piling on work, though I don't really mind the work, but it makes it impossible to see James anymore. Can you believe we have only had one night together alone for like the entire month? Either I have homework or prefect duties and then when I am free he has homework and head boy duties. I really think father planned it this way!" Kelsey said, smiling slightly at the end. It wouldn't surprise her if her father had done that. He wasn't too thrilled about James being left alone in a room with Kelsey. He knew perfectly well what they did when they were alone. The thought of having James alone in a room brought a huge smile on Kelsey's face.
"How have you been mum? You know, with everything that's been going on. I heard Anton told you the big news! I was so shocked when he told me. I didn't think of him as the marrying type. Two children getting married before they are even nineteen. Dad must be having a cow," Kelsey said to her mother, a slight amusement in her voice. She was really surprised that Anton was getting married. She couldn't imagine her older brother married with children. To her, her would always be the protective, immature brother who used to stick gum in her hair.
"I really don't think he is mature enough to get married! Seems like just yesterday you were cutting my hair because Anton thought it would be fun to see how many wads of gum he could stick at the ends of my hair while I was taking a nap! Thank Merlin I had long hair at the time or I would have been practically bold," Kelsey said with a smile on her face as she thought of the past, before everything happened. She had so many childhood memories that were happy. Those, of course, were all before she started Hogwarts. If only she could go back to those simpler times in her life and relive them over and over again. Maybe, after everything calmed down in her life, they could try and get back to those happy times as a family. She would love nothing more than to be that messy haired, carefree, red headed little girl again then the depressed and troubled teenager she was now.

“At least your father knows, the last thing I want is for him to send out a search party.” It was something Robert would do, and then he’d immediately blame Jack as the culprit and crucify him to his office wall. It was a sad known fact. And as scary as Jack Lestrange may be, nothing would stop Robert from seeking revenge on what he did to their daughter. Looking at Kelsey, she smiled, glad that the two had finally put aside their difference.
Mandy smirked as Kelsey continued to blast Robert. She hadn’t expected school to be any less tough. Mandy was only glad to get out of the shit hole. Most people would say school was the best days of your life, but that, was utter bullocks. Not that Mandy had a problem at school, she had actually enjoyed it, up until she was flooded with work and shit. Mandy maintained her smirk as Kelsey admitted that she and James had little time together. Great thinking on Robert’s end. “Well there’s not much you kids can get up to anyway. And you’ve got duties, duties come first. It’s like with kids, you and your brothers would come before Robert” Mandy admitted with a smile on her lips, that was very true.
“I’ve been fine love, keeping myself busy, as always.” And thinking about her husband has been sleeping with some skank behind her back. “Oh yes, I was delighted. Surprised, but never the less, delighted.” Now this was something she could talk about forever. Taking a sip of her coffee, she looked at Kelsey, her eyes lighting up at the topic, “Anton is like your father. Robert was never the settling down type of person, he didn’t like to be tied down. That’s why it came to a surprise to me when he proposed.” Mandy said with a small shrug. “I’m just glad that you and your brother have found people who can hold you down, keep you grounded.”
Mandy laughed at Kelsey words, “You don’t think he’s mature enough to be married? And what age are you again?” Truth was, Mandy had never expected Anton to find someone so early. Everyone who knew Mandy, knew she was completely against rushed relationships, she had always thought that if things where rushed, the marriage would be an utter disaster. And it was a surprise when Kelsey announced she was married, and even more of a surprise when Anton showed her the ring. Hell, she had went to visit Anton to see how he was doing and the next thing she knew, he was engaged. Another laugh escaped her lips as she remembered the fond memory when she had to cut the pieces of gum from Kelsey’s fiery red hair. Seven chunks. Seven chunks of chewed up gum was cut from her hair and all Mandy could do was humour herself, while Robert had lectured Anton not to do it again. “Good times.” She admitted with a grin.

Kelsey hated that she couldn't sneak of from the castle anymore. She used to be able to leave for days and non one would even care. Now with everything that happened, Kelsey always had to leave a note or risk sending her father into cardiac arrest or something. Though she really did like that her parents were starting to care more. She felt protected, and she liked that a lot. Kelsey listened to her mother say something about her and James not getting into much trouble. A huge smirk fled to her lips as she thought about what her and James do when they are alone.
"Oh you would be surprised what James and I can get up to," Kelsey said in a dream like voice as she imagined James some more. Hell, Kelsey wanted him right now. She was ready for him at every second of the day. It took all of her strength not to tackle him to the ground and have him right then and there in the middle of Hogwarts. Maybe someday she could sneak James home with her and take him up to her room for some more alone time.
"I think father is just still in denial about his little girl having sex so he is trying to prevent it at all costs! But hey! I am a married woman now and I need to, you know, let out all that sexual frustration. I have dreams about James and I, well you know, doing it, and I wake up and realize that I want him more than anything but he is all the way across the castle and I sometimes have to wait weeks for it! It drives me insane," Kelsey said without realizing it, her words coming out like vomit. She would have never told her mother this before. Kelsey assumed that her mom knew that she was no longer a virgin. She suspected that when her father found out that he immediately told her mother.
"I'm really glad that I found James and that Anton found Dominique. I really like her. She seems really nice and a good influence on Anton. Now all we have to do is find Vince someone and we are all set!" Kelsey said, a smile on her face. She rarely even heard from Vince anymore. He was so quiet and reserved that it seemed that he didn't even fit into this family anymore. After all, in order to be heard in the LeBlanc family you need to be yelling or something something you shouldn't. Vince was just too quiet.
"I'll be seventeen on the second of March, mom. So technically, for like three weeks, Anton and I will be the same age! And I am very mature for my age, thank you very much," Kelsey said, smiling and then laughing at the thought of her being mature. This was coming from the girl who still made fart jokes and would throw snow balls down on people from the Astronomy tower. She was no where near mature but that was the way she loved it. She saw girls trying to act all mature and proper and to her, they just looked like a bunch of bimbos. Her main goal in her messed up and crazy life was to just have fun and be herself. Hopefully she could maintain that sense of self through the drama she was going through.

Looking down at her left hand, still no wedding ring on her finger. Mandy hadn’t even bothered to put it back on, she just hadn’t got the time to worry over her missing wedding ring. However it seemed other people had been worrying. Like her mother, who she had visited the day before only to receive a lecture from a fifty-five year old woman, telling her that if she didn’t make her failed marriage work then she would be disowned. Oh, she just loved how much her mother cared (note the sarcasm) but what could she expect? Her mother had always had a soft spot for Robert and the majority of the time when Mandy and Robert argued, her mother stubbornly took Robert’s side over her own daughters. If only her father was alive, he’d stick with her.
Hearing Kelsey’s dreamy words, Mandy rolled her eyes. It was almost sickening how much her daughter was in love, despite how much Mandy wanted her daughter happy, she couldn’t wait to see where Kelsey and James would be standing in another ten years from now. One thing she was positive of was that Kelsey would no longer be using that tone, nor would be as in love with James as she was today. Time passes and people change, Mandy knew that better than anyone.
Lifting the cup of coffee to her lips, Mandy took a small sip. Shame she hadn’t got the chance to swallow it before Kelsey spoke again. With widened hazel eyes, Mandy felt herself choking. Coughing, she looked at Kelsey in horror. Instantly, she clasped her hand over Kelsey’s mouth. There was just some things Mandy didn’t want her sixteen year old daughter discussing. Yes, she understood that she still needed to give Kelsey the ‘sex’ talk but Mandy had planned on giving her daughter that talk in another…seven, eight years from now. But then Mandy thought, she was having sex at that age, but still, she hadn’t wanted her baby girl experiencing stuff like that until she was thirty! In Mandy’s eyes, Kelsey would always be her baby girl, and if any boy thought he could get his dick anywhere near her, Mandy had no hesitation to get the knife out. “Just don’t talk.” Still staring at Kelsey horrified, she shook her head slowly before moving her hand away.
“Yes, Dominique seems like a pretty nice person.” Mandy agreed before taking another sip of her coffee and leaning back on the couch, she was utterly exhausted, but could listen to Kelsey ramble on all day. “Vince is still a baby! He doesn’t need a woman by his side.” She said with a small smile while thinking of her little boy. He was the only innocent child she had left. How that boy had managed to find himself in Slytherin was beyond her, she would never had expected that.
“Yes love, but until the second of March you are still sixteen. So technically, you aren’t the same age as Anton. And you could be thirty and I’ll still consider you a baby.” Mandy smirked at her daughter. Mature? Who Kelsey? Haha, yeah right. “Yes mature enough to run away and get married while leaving your family completely clueless. Very mature of you Kels.” She said with a chuckle before patting her daughter gently on the arm. Placing the cup of coffee on the coffee table, Mandy trailed her fingers through her hair before turning to look at Kelsey, “Have you been talking to your father lately?” She asked, rather curious of the answer.

Kelsey and James had a very healthy relationship. It seemed as though their love for each other would never fade and Kelsey loved that. She was head over heels for the boy and she didn't care who knew it. Plus, he was amazing in bed. Hell, before, most of their sexual encounters had been drunken and boring. They would barely remember a thing but then one night they had sober sex and man did James know how to please Kelsey. She had never felt feelings that strong before in her entire life. She had practically lost her voice from screaming so loud in pleasure.
Kelsey felt her mother's hand come over her mouth as she finished talking about her desires for James. The horrified look on her mother's face made her begin to have a giggle attack. Man she loved making her parents awkward with these types of things. The look that they got on their faces was enough to make Kelsey die from laughing so hard. She knew she would be able to have fun with this, that was for sure.
"Why mom? Don't you want me to be honest and open with you? I feel that if I have any sex questions that I should go to you. After all, that is what daddy told me to do. I tried to ask him some questions but he only said 'that is something you should talk about with your mother'. So, I need to ask something. Is it normal to orgasm so hard that you almost black out? And is it normal to have trouble walking the day after sex? Do you know where I can get a good deal on whips and chains? After all, I did find some under yours and dad's bed one time when I was younger so I suppose you must know where to get them," Kelsey said, keeping a serious look on her face the entire time. She was roaring with laughter inside her head and found it very hard to keep a straight face. She couldn't wait to see her mother's reaction to her questions. She was beginning to make bets in her head to see if Mandy would run out of the room screaming or faint right there.
"Mom, Vince is going to be 16! I was married at that age! He is going to be bringing a girl home sooner than you think. Your babies are growing up, mum," Kelsey said with a small smile on her face. She knew it would be weird to see Vince with a girlfriend. He was after all her little brother and to think of him as intimate with a girl was just wrong. She had only recently gotten used to the fact of Anton having a girlfriend.
"Mom i am not a baby anymore! And don't be throwing that whole getting married bit in my face. If I would have told you and dad that I was getting married, you both know that you would have been forming a mob to make sure it didn't happen," Kelsey said, laughing a bit as she finished. If anyone would have known about the wedding she knew that they would have been stopped and her father would have done something stupid to James. Funny thing about it was Kelsey and James never even dated before they got married. They went from best friends, to sworn enemies, to a one night stand, to husband and wife. It was just a tad weird, but then again, so was Kelsey.
"Yeah i have been talking to him. I need to go somewhere for money, right! You guys haven't spoken yet have you?" Kelsey asked, knowing the answer. Kelsey knew that she had two very stubborn people for parents and when either one of them made a mistake they could hold a grudge for years. It was the exact people whom Kelsey learned her stubbornness from. Kelsey really did love her parents but sometimes she just wanted to smack them over the head to knock some sense into them.

Kelsey had no idea what she was doing to Mandy. Was she aware that every word she spoke about her ‘sex life’ was scaring Mandy. What mother wanted to know that her daughter and son-in-law where at it like rabbits? Yeah, didn‘t think so. The strange thing was, even though Kelsey was legally married and all, not once had Mandy ever thought about her having sex. Never. Until now when Kelsey decided to blab out every little detail about her sex life making Mandy want to be physically sick because of all the mental images swarming into her mind.
This was tormenting, horrific. For some reason Kelsey found this hilarious, and perhaps in a few years time, Mandy would laugh back at this, but now the colour in her cheeks drained, she felt her stomach churn at the images and words repeating in her mind as she leaned back of the couch, still keeping eye contact with Kelsey. Maybe her daughter was just joking? It was a little late for April’s fools though.
Mandy should’ve known Robert was the culprit behind this. That bastard. “Ofcourse I want you to be honest and open with me.” She began, trying to think of a better way to put it. Before she could even continue, Kelsey fired up the sex talk once again. Immediately jumping to her feet, Mandy stood in front of her daughter, “No Kelsey! That’s bad!” She said, pointing her finger at her daughter. It felt like she was lecturing a four year old Kelsey all over again. Mandy’s face went from pale white to bright red as Kelsey continued. How could she make this child stop? Didn’t she just give up? “I’m going to rip your dad’s balls off…” She grumbled under her breath as she held back her hair that fell into her eyes. Was she on fire? Mandy felt her temperature increasing as Kelsey asked her about almost blacking out, which had almost happened to Mandy on rare occasions, then if it was normal to have troubles walking after sex, then the last question that made Mandy want to run while she had the chance. Glancing out the window, Mandy wondered if a bus would be pulling up outside that she might be able to jump in front of. Turning a crimson red as Kelsey mentioned finding things under her bed, “What are you doing under my bed?” She managed to speak, too embarrassed to say anything else.
“Kels, you, Vince and Anton are still babies. When you’re eighteen I might come to terms that you’ve grown up, but neither of you are eighteen yet. And Vince is the wise one out of the family, he knows better than to bring someone home.” Mandy mumbled. Vince was the only innocent one, he was the only one she could still treat like a child, and no girl was going to chance that.
“Exactly! If you would have told be about the wedding maybe I could’ve stopped the whole thing and saved you from that madness. Now you’re a sex crazed girl who likes to torment her parents with sexual mental images.” Mandy pointed out, looking down at her red heels. “I suppose I can’t do anything about it now…can I?” She asked, arching an eyebrow with a small smile. Obviously she wasn’t going to be one of those demented mothers who purposely set out to assassinate James Potter, no…she just left that part to Robert.
While standing in front of Kelsey, Mandy simply shrugged at her daughter’s assumption, “I’ve been busy. We both have.” Well that was a blatant lie, considering Mandy took time of work to just relax. The only thing she had been busying herself with was shopping, and she very rarely did that now, she had surprisingly cut back a lot lately. “I’ll talk to him when I see him.” Mandy mentioned with a grin, knowing that she was going to beat the shit out of him for telling Kelsey to go to her for the sex talk.
