Clicking the cane along the concrete as he walked, Marcus observed the world around him. It was getting late, the moon now starting to become visible through the darkening sunset, which meant it was time for his usual drink for the night, something he had heard the muggles refer to sometimes as 'Happy Hour', though it wasn't a very happy hour for him. He pressed on through the crowd of muggle shoppers, wiggling his way between some, and tripping the others at random with the end of his cane (something he was growing quite entertained with). The one he tripped, he turned around and give a little tip of of his top hat which he had taken from Adriana more than a month ago, flashing a wicked and rather cruel smile at them. Many stopped and looked him up and down as he pressed through them, giving wild looks at the attire he had obtained (more like stole) from his father's residence.
See, Marcus couldn't bare the fact that he was wandless anymore, and his plans of sneaking up on Adriana and taking his wand back from her was becoming rather dull, though he still kept his tabs on her as usual. He knew going to a wand maker would be tough, seeing that if he did his name was sure to pop up on the map making it easier for someone to find him. So his last option was to return to his father's house, and rid his precious father's corpse of his wand. So, taking off in the middle of the night with Adrienne, they both raided the house, finding the ivory wand that his father had once held so dear to him (but didn't bother to pick up off the table to defend when Marcus had killed him.), and a few bits of clothing, in particular the black Victorian style tailcoat and matching pants, which he wore now walking down the street.
So, Marcus bore a wicked smile on his face as he kept on hand on the cane, and the other on the twisted ivory wand that laid in his pocket. It suited him nicely, bending to his every desire that he held dearest in his heart, and was encased in a nice flow of ancient runes which he had attempted to decipher, but the language was unknown in the books.
His shoes clicked with the cane as he walked towards the Leaky Cauldron like he had done for the past month, at exactly the same time each night. He had a reason for doing this all, though it was locked up in his own mind and kept away from even his own knowledge. His eyes locked on the door to the Cauldron, making his final few steps past an alley way that sat beside the little pub, but then something went wrong. He was being jerked, jerked rather hard actually, into the dark alley and out of sight. His back his the brick wall,s ending a shock of pain through his lower back, causing his eyes to shut, but instead of crying out he laughed hard and rather manically.
"I'm assuming our little game is at a draw now?" He chuckled out wickedly.

Standing in the cold empty room Adriana found herself starring into the barely visible mirror (it contained a thick layer of dust), her merely bare skin reflecting back at her as she stares at the tanned skin that made up her body. The only articles of clothing she was wearing at the moment was her under garments. Everything else laying on the floor. Her finger tips running over the scars that were on her stomach, her arm, and then the one that was on her side, each given to her by her own mother, each unable to be fixed do the the painful curse her mother used on her, that and the fact she wouldn't allow magical treatment on her daughter. Each of these scars each held its on story. The one on her side, the most recent, being from the time Adriana told her mother that she had a boyfriend. The large on on her lower stomach that wasn't very noticeable because of the medication she had used on it, was when her mother found out her sixteen year old daughter was pregnant with a half werewolf baby. The third, and the oldest scar was formed when the girl was merely 11, and she tried to run away. It resulted in a few hits of the dreaded Cruciotis curse... They were all a way to make Adriana suffer, and suffer it did, until about three months ago. When Adria fell off the deep end murdering the woman in a very enjoyable moment.
Now, Adria found herself a little bit less than sane, staying a bit buzzed, but never drunk anymore, and not daring step back into the halls of Hogwarts, not while Marcus was out there and they were still playing their giant game of hide and seek. No, she wouldn't go back until he went back, at this point in time she would follow him about anywhere, and that is exactly what she has been doing over the past month since their last encounter. Adria found herself watching, and waiting for the exact right time to strike, more like did what he did to her, pin her to the wall, talk a bunch of bull shit, then leave him standing there with the same look she had when he left her so many weeks ago. See Adriana had been keeping a extra close tab on her dear friend, following in to the most random places but remaining in the dark and completely unnoticed, she watched as he walked threw random muggle places (even followed him a few times making sure to keep a close distance), and in the end she watched him every night at the same time have a drink at the same bar, and tonight, this cool Friday night, she was going to show him that he wasn't the only one who could keep tabs on the other, no, he surely wasn't the only one in this mad world they have started to call home.
In a matter of minutes she had her clothes pulled back on, her heels hit with a spell from her silvery wand to make them as silent as ever, as she made her way out of the back door of the Leakey Cauldron, and around to the place that her Friend always liked to enter from. With a slip of her body she found herself watching, and yet again waiting. Not even a split second later he was there. Marcus was standing about to enter when she intervened. Slipping her body past his she grabbed a hold of him jerking him back and throwing him not even the least bit carefully up against the cold stone wall. her body pressing to his as she starred across into those eyes she knew all so well. Her hand slipping up and hitting the rim of the hat he wore, her hat, making it flip slightly and land down on her head. "I think this is mine." She said tilting her head ever so slightly to the side letting him speak. "Mhmm, I would say so. Defiantly a draw... as for now."
Adriana let her still cold green blue eyes lock on his own, her face twisted into a wicked grin as she kept no distance in between them, and him and the wall. She wasn't going to slip up this time. She wasn't a drunken fool like she had been their last encounter, no, she was the most part sober, and the only thing she had in mind for the past month was this encounter with him. So as far as Adriana Madison Reed knew, everything was going to work out in her favor one way or another. With a crooked grin she looked at her ex parting her lips to speak. "I want to say you were hard to find, but you weren't but something tells me that you weren't trying to stay invisible to me."

As the voice poured from the girl's mouth, Marcus' mind cracked a bit, unlocking the bit of knowledge that he had kept from himself over these past few weeks. He had panned for this moment weeks before, making sure to implant the task into his mind and then erase all memory of it. He had walked to that pub every single night, just to give her a bit of edge, and as his eyes opened to lock onto her's, he chuckled once again. "You're very lousy at this game, you know?" He said with another wicked grin. Of course, this was all just some grand game to him, though it had turned from a simple game of 'cat and mouse' to a complexed version of 'hide and seek', but as he stood there, her arms pressed against him as well as her body, causing the once pleasureable shivers (now rather sickening) to slide down into the pit of his stomach, he thought the game was more like Chess, and he was in check rather than a stalemate.
Adri's hand came up and tapped the brim of the hat, causing it to fall on her own head as she spoke that it was her's. "Well as I remember, you dropped it, so....Finder's keepers." With that he twisted his leg around and switched their positions, him on top and her on bottom, something he loved to do when they were encountered like this, mainly cause it flustered her a bit. He brought his own hand up and tapped the hat back to his own head and smiled wickedly, letting out a chuckle as he did so.
Her eyes stayed on his as he kept his body close to her's, and kept his own off-beat greens on her's in return, catching the movement of her lips out of the bottom of his eyes. He threw his head back in a soft laugh, and shook his head a bit before speaking in turn. "Well at first I kept up my game," He started out, explaining the situation the best he could with his broken and cracked mind, "but like I said, you're pretty lousy at it, so I kinda let you find me, but I had to force myself to, which wasn't the easiest thing mind you." It was very true. He had to have Adrienne cast the memory charm on him so he could do this the right way. He knew if he hadn't of done it, he would of just found her over and over again. How much fun is Hide and Seek when you're constantly 'it'?

How had it come to this. How had Adriana allowed her life to become nothing but a joke. Killing her own mother, keeping herself drunk ninety percent of the time, loosing most of her friends, going completely insane, but all in the midst of this trying to figure out what went wrong with the one thing she thought was going to go right. Marcus, now standing here pressed up against him almost angry, she just locked her eyes own clenching her jaw a bit as he spoke. "Did it ever occur to you that I am not hiding from you? If I wanted too, I could, maybe... possibly, but I haven't been hiding, trust me. i am not that bad at hiding my tracks if I wanted them hidden." she said with a smirk. That was all true, every since their last encounter she hadn't been trying to hide from him or anyone else in the world. Why should she be, she had nothing to hide, besides the murder of her mom,but no one would miss that woman, she didn't have friends, she was a lonely drunk who took out her time beating her daughter.
It was a disgusting thought, but Adria wasn't going to linger on that too long, not when she had him standing right in front of her. "You remember wrong love. I think it was more along the lines of you took it from my hands and left. I might have been drunk, but that my dear, I remember that as clear as day." She stated right before she felt her body changing positions with his own. Her face turning from the smirk it had just been to a very agitated look. "Ugh." was the only thing that escaped her lips as her eyes locked on his lips what held that wicked grin he loved to flaunt so much. How Adriana despised this man...But at the same exact time couldn't seem to get him off her mind, damn men. Watching as his lips moved to talk once again her own turned to a slightly angered expression. She wasn't hiding from him. She had never been hiding, yes she was trying to find him, but was she hiding, no. It might make this game they were playing pointless, but she didn't give a damn anymore, not the least bit. But her whole attitude changed when he spoke yet again, the words lousy leaving his lips, followed by the expression that he let himself be found by her. That caused her expression to go from slightly angry to pissed off. The thing most people didn't know about the girl was she hated being told that she was bad at things, much less that someone let her win (or in this case find Marcus). She had always had to do things on her own, not allowed to take help or pity from anyone, and she wasn't about to start now.
"I bet you did, but for a second time I didn't want to hide from you. But it just seems that you probably just like calling me lousy, but hell i am use to that as well. I mean its probably why you left me all those months ago, because i was lousy at everything I tried to do, not just this so called game we are playing. And as for you letting me find you. If thats the case then why the hell am I here. I thought you wanted everyone to think you were dead, so why would you allow me to find you. Huh Marcus. If I am lousy at this game, or even in general why in the hell would you let yourself be seen by me." Adriana might have taken this completely the wrong way, but at this point in time, with the alcohol that was already in her blood, she couldn't really take it any other way .

Marcus' cold gaze watched Adri's lips move with sheer spitefulness as she spoke, telling him that she wasn't trying to hide at all this time. He wrinkled his nose at this, his eyebrows furrowing quizzically at her remark. Not trying to hide? But, wasn't that the point of all these little tag matches? Trying to see who found who first? But then again, what if it wasn't the point? Maybe he was trying to find a way back into her life some how, though it involved playing a game rather than flat out saying he wanted to be close to her again. He sighed a bit softly to himself at this. What happened to his life? He use to be cunning and swift, now he was just another piece of chewing come stuck up under a counter top.
They switched topics quickly, and he was rather glad. His insides now starting to depress a little from all the thoughts that rambled on inside his head, but they silenced quickly now that words flowed from her lips once again. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her as she restated the event. "Well it doesn't surprise me that I remember wrong." He said with the same wicked smile that had been plastered to his face the whole time. "It's just like the other day, when I thought a bear was chasing me, I turned around and killed it...and as the natural hunter I am, I started to gut it on the spot, ya'know so I could have a nice dinner that night. But then.... people were running and screaming and looking at me weird. So, I thought to myself, "What the hell?" and when I looked down, it was only a man dressed like a bear." He laughed wildly at this, his eyes all starry and crazy looking, but they cleared and his laugh deafened as a serious look came over him. "Only kidding deary."
He frowned a bit as he noticed that she was becoming upset at his comments, and before he knew it she was lashing out at him, talking about how she didn't want to hide from him at all, but if it was a game why did he let her find him. He smiled wildly out of sheer and amusement, and some sexual tension he was starting to feel rise up from within. "Well what if I told you I actually wanted to be closer to you now? Hmmm?" He completed the question with his eyes a bit bugged eyed, his eyebrows arched in suspicion. He let go of her and spun around a bit in the alley with his hands up chuckling, he then stopped to face her once again. "But since I know you so well" He gave a little wink, which held its on cruel intentions, ", you probably think I'm just lying through my teeth.". And with that, he began to walk down the alley a bit, pretending that he was leaving as the cane bounced on the stone with his every step, though he had no intention of leaving at all.

All Adriana wanted form a young age was a normal life. One of those lives she read about in the muggle books. Where someone would come in sweeping her off her feet saving her from her mother taking her away making her forget everything that ever happened to her. Making her forget the days of beatings and only remember all the good times, and letting her know she was going to be safe in his arms. Thats the feeling Adriana had earned for every since she was about ten. Now at sixteen she had thought she found it so many months ago when she started dating Marcus. He knew what she was going threw better than anyone else in the world, and he had once promised her to never let her mother hurt her again. He didn't break that promise, because well he was the one, well his fake death, was the reason she went over the edge and made sure she never had to be hurt by her mother again. She had found her storybook prince, but he wasn't a prince at all, he was more along the lines of he was the mad hatter to her Alice.
Now looking up at him with her eyes locked on the top hat that sat once again upon his head she couldn't help but smile slightly. He was fitting that role more and more every day. With her eyes quickly falling down to his lips she watched as he spoke, shaking her head as she held back a small laugh. "Sometimes I wonder about you, hell that would be a lie, I have wondered about you wand what goes on in that head of you since the day I met you. I swear, sometimes." She shook her head as the soft words left her lips as she smirked slightly looking back up at him. "But then again, I wouldn't doubt that 'you' would do something like that."
Her head turning to the side as she looked down the alley not wanting to think about him at the moment. He had just called her bad at a game she didn't want to play, but now she is almost laughing at what he said. What was her problem? Adriana didn't know, but soon enough he spoke again and she tilted her head to look back at him. Her heart and thoughts stopping as she thought that over again. He couldn't be serious could he? he was lying right? Or was he being serious. Was he really trying to get close to her once again, but his messed up mind had to go threw this huge detour of a game to get there. No it could' tbe could it? Before she had a chance to even answer him he was walking down the alley way. "Damn it." She mumbled straighting herself up before she walked behind him putting her hand on his shoulder turning him around once again (Just like the first time they had this little encounter) and pushing him back against the wall. "I dont think so dear. I just got you back, I am not letting you leave me this quickly." She mumbled looking at him then his lips shaking her head thinking that would be a stupid idea.
Her hands were placed flat against the wall next to his head her face nearly touching his as she just stood there. "What if I didn't think you were just lying threw your teeth? What if a part of me, the small part of me that hasn't fallen into this wonderland of insanity believed you? What then Marcus?"

Marcus grinned as she spoke, her lips moving to produce a soft voice that broke through the cold air. He chuckled as she stated that she wondered about him, wondered about him since the day they met, and in his twisted little mind this tickled him senseless, causing a great big grin to creep across his face. "You swear sometimes what?" He said, chuckling rather softly. She spoke in turn and he chuckled even more. "See you catch on quick," He leaned in a bit towards her, "Don't ever doubt me." He chuckled and a little wink, before continuing with himself.
Walking down the alleyway now, he watched the cane bounce up and down with his feet, his own right leg giving a little twisted limp to match the scene, but it was fake of course. He twirled and spun the cane as he left Adriana there on the wall, pretending to leave her behind again after stating something that he knew would be rather devastating to her little mind. Just like he had known, he heard the clicks of her feet on the stone cobbled lane, running up to catch him from behind. Her fingers clinched his shoulder and she spun him around, only to push him back up against the wall. He gave a rather quizzical expression as his back hit the wall. "Can you say Deja-Vu?" He started to chuckle, but was cut off by her voice.
When she spoke his insides twisted a bit, though not in a sickening way, but uncomfortable none-the-less. He felt a strange sense of connection between them as she spoke, something that Marcus hadn't felt since he had let Hogwarts. She finished and he chuckled as if on que. "I'd say you're just as damn crazy as me." He grinned and then leaned in a bit, pressing his lips to hers, kissing her softly. "Welcome to Wonderland, babe." He said, his lips rubbing against hers.

Adriana had finally come to the conclusion that Marcus was completely insane. Not just a bit, a smudge, no completely insane. Better yet he might just be mad. Yeah thats it. He was mad, not insane but clearly mad. Why, who knows. Probably along the same reasons she was slowly on her way to being like that. Crazy abusive parents, who you end up killing. Yeah that would do it to a person. But just hearing him talk and chuckle at things that normal people wouldn't laugh at clearly made her make her mind up on him being mad. So standing here watching him laugh at her words once again she just rolled her eyes. "I swear that your mad! Insane something." She said with a crooked grin as she leaned in as he leaned in closer to her. "Oh I know I catch on quick. But how could I not doubt you sometimes. You did leave me believing you where dead for a good few weeks." She shook her head before continuing with the man.
Watching him leave was something she wasn't going to do. Not in a million years, so pulling him back, and forcing him up against the wall seemed to come almost second nature to her. That might be because she has been in this same situation numerous times with him over the past few months. Who knew, but right now all her attention was focused on him, as a smirk rose on her lips as he spoke. "Yes I can. Deja-Vu. See." Her smart ass self peaking out a bit there as she just rolled her eyes as he laughed once again. But she didn't bother to linger on that long.
She just moved her hands closer to his head as she kept them pressed to the wall. Her body pressed lightly against his as her eyes locked on his off beat green ones. Adria allowing her body to be filled with the odd sensation she always seemed to get when being this close to him. Her mind wondering as she just listened to him talk. "Hey! I am no-" Her words cut off by the familiar feeling of his lips pressing to hers. She couldn't resist kissing him back very lightly before he broke his lips from hers. Adria naturally moving her body even closer to him, out of nothing but instinct. A smile spread across her face as she just watched his lips. "I think I might get use to being here." She murmured before pushing her lips back to his. Not being able to resist the small urge that had been growing in her stomach every since they started talking.

"I swear that your mad! Insane something."
Those few words brought another twisted smile to Marcus' face. He loved the idea of her thinking he was Mad, though Insane made him feel a little bit insulted. There was a difference between Mad and Insane, or at least there was to him. Insane people did things without a purpose, like randomly killing people or spazzing out in the middle of the hall. Their actions were random, and rarely seemed to fit into a pattern. Mad people were the polar opposite. Their actions were always with a cause and for a purpose, and they rarely spazzed out in the middle of halls mind you. His purpose was to get back at the world one step (or person) at a time, though it seems he was always getting sidetracked by Adriana's lips.
His lips were still slightly attached to her's as she spoke, feeling shivers running slightly up his spine from her lips moving against his. He chuckled softly at the end of her sentence. "Good, cause it was getting really lonely here by myself." He gave a little over-exaggerated "pouty" face before grinning and pressing his lips the rest of the way to her's, kissing her gently once again.
It was strange really. Just a few months ago he wanted nothing to do with her. He didn't want to see her walking down the street, picking up her mail, or drinking in the pubs he was switching back and forth from. Hell, he didn't even want to smell her, nor be with in 500 yards of her, but here he was now, pressing her body tightly to his as his hands ran softly up and down her back. There was just something inside him now, burning into his veins that made him want her so bad that it made him sick. Marcus was a mystery even to his own damn self.
He twisted their bodies, pressing her small body now up against the wall as his kisses began to grow more heated and passionate, moving away from the soft gentle ones he had planted earlier. "Should we move this tea party for two upstairs?" He said, pulling his lips away from hers only for a moment to give a grin and a wink before they found their place back on her's again.

Now she was the one going mad! What was she doing here? With him? This man who seemed to despise her one moment, then want her the next. A man who she thought she might possible love when they were dating before he ran off. And a man who cheated on her with Kelsey Leblanc! What was she doing? Adriana didn't know. No. Not the least bit did she know. It was horrible, sickening horrible, but she couldn't helped it. The feeling that was growing in her chest at this moment in time was insane. She didn't want nothing more but th be even closer to him than she already was at this moment in time. Which would have to be pretty damn close seeing that she had her whole body pressed against him, and her fingers roaming threw his hair as their lips seemed to move in a almost natural, but soft way.
With her lips not lingering far from his she just nodded listening to him, smiling at his little pout face before pressing her lips back to his. Moving them somewhat hungerly, but softly all at the same time on his. Not even pulling away completely, leaving her lips touching his she spoke. "You don't have to be by yourself now. I'm perfectly content on keeping you company" Her words a slurred mumble, because she didn't wait ON before pressing her pale lips back to his once again. OK so this really was insane. Completely inane. But again, she didn't care.
Before Adriana could process it, her back was being pressed up against the wall. Her head resting back on the cool wall as she just kissed him back. Hungrily, passionate, heated, about anything you could use to describe a kiss, these kisses, where used. Her fingers, not leaving his hair as she just continued moving her lips in a provocative manner as she felt him speak. Adriana's eyes didn't even meet his. They stayed on his lips, only flashing to his once, right before he pushed them back to hers once again. God Damn this man! How could he do this too her when he most likely wasn't trying. Her thoughts where blurred, and she barely processed what he had spoken. Dreading pulling away she did. Looking up at him moving her hands down to his shirt, gripping it lightly. "We should most defiantly should move this upstairs."
Not even waiting on him, she pulled him, by his shirt to the door of the Leaky Cauldron, then moving to his hand. Pulling him through the crowds and up to the room she had rented, on the top floor of the place, completely solitaire from everything else. Kicking the door with her heel she pulled him into the room, pushing him down on the bed, not taking any time moving over to him. Crawling up on top of him so she was straddling him, pushing her lips back down to his. This crazy, insane wonderland was about to change. It was changing into a ecstasy filled wonderland instead.
